Oh, I had the most absolutely disturbing dream about Mahito. I'm only shocked that it took so long to have it because i've been thinking about him for days.

I don't remember the beginning, only that it was me and 2 other people trying to destroy Mahito. And we thought we killed him, so we buried his body.

And then the other two people asked me to go make sure that no one had found his body where we buried it, because it was a shallow grave. Seems reasonable to worry about that.

I get to where we buried him, in some type of shallow mulch/dirt pit, and start digging. I uncover his body and...

He's a corpse, all right. Tangy, sweet, acrid smell; and his body was decomposing a bit. I remember his hands were most notably decomposed. His eyes were milky white, staring ahead at nothing.

I need to emphasize how visceral this felt and smelled. Just... so awful and terrible and slimy. I can't shake it, even hours later.

And I remember saying, out loud, "Oh, he's dead. Thank God he's dead."

After I said this... his lips twitched, and then he grinned.

He was not dead.

He sat up, laughing, still looking like a corpse--dirt in his hair and eyes all blank--and he said he was happy I came back for him, and he's going to stick with me from now on, okay?

And I ran, as you do, into a random elevator--as you do, in a dream. But no one else in the elevator could see him. I started sweating terribly and that's when I woke up.

love the new ghibli protagonist. what a little freak (affectionate). he has NO chill. a kid shoves him at the start of the movie and he instantly tackles them and proceeds to fight his entire class. he bashed his head in with a rock and tried to walk it off. the bird in his garden was doing funny things and he instantly starts making plans to murder it. was ready to beat the shit out of that pelican. i just know if he was allowed to curse he would have called that heron a bitch ass mother fucker. mahito was NOT fucking around.
