衝動 / Impulse
by suni featuring Hatsune Miku
Holding in all your feelings until you reach the impetus, and you feel the urge to burst. It turned into an impulse.
Full Japanese and Rough English Lyrics (Below)
3 2 1 迫られる Question Yes or Yes でさあ答えだして 四畳半揺れる理性におしおきだ
3, 2, 1, I've been drawing up a Question. Yes or Yes, well, it's time to answer. It's punishment for the reason a 4.5 Tatami room shakes
閉鎖的心臓息が詰まりそうだ 天井超える妄想抑えきれないよ!! 絶対服従 喜怒哀楽の哀 もうやってらんない!! 込み上げるさ feelin!! feelin!!
A closed off heart feels like it's choking. Uncontainable delusions that go through the roof! Absolute obedience, the grief of human emotions Geez, I really don't want it to happen! It's rising up and up, this feeling! Feeling!
衝動 衝動 響け声よ 繰り返す 脳内戦争邪魔するなよ 衝動 衝動 この気持ちを味わうさ 誰も止められない
The impulse, impulse. A voice echoes. Again and Again. The mind is at war, and it's dragging me down. The impulse, impulse. Relishing in this feeling, No one can stop me.
攻防戦 無条件な非常線 アンダーグラウンド 非合法な冒険 惨憺たる未来に救いはない いない いない ばあ
In Battle, Unconditional Cordons Underground, Unlawful Adventure There's no saving a miserable enough future. There's none. There's none. Boo.
Good Morning!! 思考 Shaking!! このステージ まじで Boring!! アンチテーゼ 掲げ Fighting!! 喰らえ Punch!! 集団就寝 We are Resistance 喜怒哀楽の怒 怖くないわけないけど抑えきれないよ
Good morning! Thoughts shaking! This stage is seriously boring! An Antithesis, hoist it up, fight on! Take a punch! The Masses retiring. We are Resistance. The anger of human emotions. There's no way it isn't scary, but it's uncontainable.
衝動 衝動(喜ばせたい) 衝動 衝動(怒りよ今) 衝動 衝動(哀しくはないわけじゃない) 衝動 衝動(楽しくいたい) 光よ
The impulse, impulse. (I want to please.) The impulse, impulse. (I'm angry now.) The impulse, impulse. (It doesn't mean I'm not sad.) The impulse, impulse. (I want to have fun.) The light!
衝動 衝動 踊れ心よ 繰り返す 脳内絶頂狂いそうだよ 衝動 衝動 今変わるのなら いざ騒ぎ出せ 衝動
The impulse, impulse. My heart's dancing! Again and again. The mind's at it's limit, I feel like I'm insane! The impulse, impulse. If it's not changed now, Well, I'll go berserk. The impulse.

feminine melancholia
Tumblr media
Head first in the never ending river of living.
Submerged, you are now suffocated with tears.
Your ears start to bleed and eyes dissolve into a gooey paste.
Your nails start to chip away from the harsh currents of the rising tide.
You feel the water give your brain a massage as it rushes  into the hollow head.
Finally as your tongue gradually goes numb,
You begin to laugh at the silence.
But the abrupt surge of water down your throat
Reminds you that you are dying.
You come up for air before you go fully blind
Oceanic Feeling and Communist Affect:
Tumblr media
The oceanic as a depressive denial, a form of symbolic suicide.
feminine melancholia with the “lethal ocean.”
women gain a kind of protective omnipotence by “limitlessly spreading her constrained sorrow” to achieve a “hallucinated completeness” (74). In a sense, Kristeva’s oceanic is a kind of premature death that is paradoxically a preemptive defense against death.
some ways melancholia itself is a feminized experience insofar as Kristeva characterizes it as an inability to properly symbolize
mysticism: being one with god
Perhaps, rather than trying to purge, disavow, avoid, or control, the “traumatic excitation” of ocean feeling, it makes more sense to dwell in it, to silence the repulsive dread of maternal suffocation, to inhabit the feeling (getting filled-up and blissed-out) knowing full well that on the other side of the experience lies an opportunity to assimilate the gift (of direct knowledge of the space beyond and outside the ego) by processing and naming it (in psychoanalysis or through artistic creation and other acts of sublimation).
other words, the writer or artist must “submerge” and then come to the surface for air.
The gap opened up by the oceanic state creates tension, frustration, and perhaps even sadness. When the oceanic state is over and the artist’s cognitive faculties return, she has already lost it. However, artistic creation itself can become a way to mourn the lost state (and its attendant feeling of completeness) when the artist succeeds in finding a substitute for that which always eludes the subject.
They know that no matter how many signifiers they spill they will never be able to fully capture the affective states that they pass through.
We form constellations. Our bodies are never isolated, are always enmeshed in shifting patterns of relations. Scattered across space, our selves form patterns, trace connections ethical but unseen. They give us consistency and form outside of our solitude. When we make our connections material, our constellations take shape, become tactile, make worlds” (Friendship 62).
The uncontainability of blackness, like oceanic feeling, deconstructs notions of the subject as bounded.
In trauma studies many scholars have noted that people who have experienced trauma do not experience themselves as selves at all.
Oceanic Feeling and Communist Affect
Tumblr media
Now that I have read all of this I have come to conclusions I have realized that what i experience is sound. The little bits of delusion, the “breaths” of essence, the time skips, the moments of active “unconsciousness” are all apart of this same notion of oceanic feelings. Something entirely so overwhelming that you cannot even fathom any explanation or even a starting point of where to begin sorting through this intense emotions of being.
The way music feels within my ears, I can feel it, I can resonate with it, but why can I not describe the characteristics that arise when listening? Human language possess such little power in creating symbolic and materialized speech for such abstract expression. That is why I feel so helpless. Trying so hard in translating my experiences with such limited ways of communicative articulation. Socializing is hard because to me, my ideas and beliefs make sense, for the most part. But my reasonings are not in a way that I can convey socially.

Energy Update: Jupiter in Pisces, May 2021
Tumblr media
I'm catching up on some of the astrology from last week - Jupiter, our planet of expansion, entered Pisces late Thursday afternoon. We will likely be feeling this strongly through this next week and then this increase in Piscean energy is likely to fade into the background noise that all of our current astrology is creating. There are two things to note about this brief Jupiter transit. Firstly, Jupiter is already in its shadow which means that it is preparing to retrograde during the months ahead. As such we are likely to touch on some of the more shadowy elements of Jupiter in Pisces energy during this time. Jupiter will retrograde back out of Pisces and into Aquarius again on 7/28 where it will remain for the rest of this year. All that glitters may not be gold at this time. This isn't to say that all that glitters isn't worth it - it's just a reminder that Piscean energy is prone to illusion and as this Jupiter retrograde cycle intensifies, you may need to take off your rose-colored glasses about a few things. The second thing is that Pisces is the last sign in the horoscope wheel and it tends to incorporate a lot - perhaps even all - of the energy of the 11 signs before it. Like the primordial waters in which the fishes swim, all aspects of life can be highlighted when Piscean energy is at the forefront as it will be through this week (you may feel it longer if you have a strong Piscean element in your chart). Think highest highs and lowest lows. The waters of Pisces flow in all directions and it takes a very strong will to direct them. It also takes a huge amount of getting out of your own way and trust - something that is understandable very hard for most people. I really think that this tweet by Page Turner encapsulates a lot of the Piscean experience. Pisces, as one of the dual signs, is represented as two fish swimming in opposite directions. One fish is swimming towards the shallow waters - aka the self, and the ego. The other fish is swimming towards the deep waters - aka the unconscious, the collective consciousness even. It can be difficult to master both directions and Piscean people, in particular, may have trouble finding themselves stuck on one end of that equation. Piscean energy comes with big uncontained emotions - they can move too fast to grasp on to, let alone quantify. In the shallow waters, this can lead to a lot of emotional dumping and emotional manipulation. Remember it is always okay to have your emotions - it's what you do with them that matters. Watch out over this week for situations where you are trying to force somebody to feel what you are feeling or trying to get others to make decisions based upon your feelings. (This is further accentuated by Mars in Cancer - a true watery double whammy - now is a very good time to remember to ASK before sharing your emotions with others) Fear may be a rampant emotion because Piscean energy will add to our feeling of instability among the moments of change that we all have to go through right now. On the deep end of the Piscean waters, you sometimes find people who are so concerned with being a part of the collective consciousness that they forget to think for themselves. Pisces can show up as both martyrdom and savior complexes. (And yes, if you've gone that far, you've probably come back around to the shallow waters again, but I digress). You often also find Pisces natives lost in relationships - completely devoid of boundaries between themselves and their others. At its best, Jupiter in Pisces can create a very real and tangible sense of universality. Needs of the whole - every human on this planet - fuck it, every creature on this planet - can rise to the forefront. The problem is that often when the ego steps in, it becomes "my needs" with the delusion that everybody else must either share them or not matter as much. As I mentioned, we are in our yearly Jupiter retrograde cycle now which means that we are going to transverse these first degrees of Pisces three times: first now in its
pre-shadow, then as it retrogrades back in July, and then again when it finally moves forward more permanently. This shows that we need to do some work around Jupiter in Pisces themes - need to become more aware of how our actions affect others, both our immediate others and the others all around us - the collective Other. I have already seen the beginnings of this coming to the forefront in the world this week. The head of the WHO chiding us, as Americans, for hoarding the vaccines and giving them to low threat targets instead of giving them to the world is a great example of the type of themes we are likely to see arise on the global stage. Apply to your personal lives as you see fit. Jupiter is a transitional planet - not as personal as our inner planets but still quite relevant to our lives and how we think and feel. It's worth spending some time to think about where you fall on the Piscean scale - we all have Pisces in somewhere in our natal charts (in a house even if we have no planets there). We will have to revisit this energy three times which gives us all a great opportunity to really pay attention and make revisions around these themes of universality, self, and other. What to watch out for: standard water things. Pay attention to numbing behavior (especially drugs and extra especially drinking). Pay attention to emotional dysregulation and projection. Watch your known shadow behaviors. Watch out for aggrandizing - thinking that you are more special/more deserving/more talented. And, on the other side of things, watch out for either claiming Savior or Victim status - both are signs that you aren't balancing Piscean energy very well and may need to take a step back and reevaluate. If Piscean energy feels like too much for you - try to balance it with earthy Virgo activities. If you feel really out of focus this week, try making yourself a list of what you need to do (Virgos love lists). Physical activity - anything that moves your body whether running, yoga, dancing, etc. - can really help to release any pent-up emotions. If cleaning makes you feel centered, this is a really good week to make a mess and then clean it up. Though this energy may fade quickly at this moment, it is going to come back around for review again in June-July-August and later in the year.

i absolutely believe in the censorship and deplatformation of proana/promia/etc content on this website. coming by a single blog puts impressionable people in dangerous waters and keeps sick people treading. it is undoubtedly a gateway. these people need help. they are so incredibly stubborn. and it may taint my rhetoric to powerlevel but i really dont care—i know this for a fact because i have been there. every sick person has a unique experience with their illness but we are able to bundle cases under a particular diagnosis for a reason—common traits. all people with eating disorders are engulfed by delusion and thus are incredibly stubborn. the excuses you make and the way you observe yourself and everything are sopping wet with dead-end pathos about feeling euphoric in your self-control and the, “community building,” on proana tumblr. it’s all bullshit. i will feel uncontainable rates of compassion for you suffering with this illness, but i cannot tolerate the audacity you have to create and/or share evil, poisonous content on a website populated by so many extremely vulnerable people. you could put a password on your blog, or you could delete it and go to therapy. anything but this. please. you do not have to live like this. you deserve to be free and this sickness is everything but

by reading the Scriptures we should see God as our Creator
who is Light and Love, and pure Justice who created everything perfect and good, and who has promised to make all things right again from all the damage we ourselves have done on beautiful earth and its sacred ground.
and we should see grace illuminated in the Son, revealed by the Spirit to the heart who is the inspiration for our thoughts in Love and in correction, also the inspiration for the writing down of the sacred texts to conserve spiritual truth for thousands of years.
A point seen here shared in an email i read this morning:
When filled with holy truth the mind rests.
...."we have the mind of Christ [the Messiah] and do hold the thoughts [feelings and purposes] of His heart".... 1 Corinthians 2:16b The Amplified Translation
...."Be still, [in a certain and steadfast trust] and know that I [am] God".... Psalms 46:10 NASB
and we see the significance of the written Word and its conservation in Today’s reading with chapter 8 of the book of Acts that begins with Saul’s persecution toward those who believed in the message of Heaven’s New Covenant of grace revealed, which led to his humbling and conversion, a metamorphosis into Paul as an apostle of grace who wrote of significance in the Letters of the New Testament
[Acts 8]
Now, Saul agreed to be an accomplice to Stephen’s stoning and participated in his execution. From that day on, a great persecution of the church in Jerusalem began. All the believers scattered into the countryside of Judea and among the Samaritans, except the apostles who remained behind in Jerusalem. God-fearing men gave Stephen a proper burial and mourned greatly over his death.
Then Saul mercilessly persecuted the church of God, going from house to house into the homes of believers to arrest both men and women and drag them off to prison.
[The Gospel Spreads to Samaria]
Although the believers were scattered by persecution, they preached the wonderful news of the word of God wherever they went. Philip traveled to a Samaritan city and preached to them the wonderful news of the Anointed One. The crowds were eager to receive Philip’s message and were persuaded by the many miracles and wonders he performed. Many demon-possessed people were set free and delivered as evil spirits came out of them with loud screams and shrieks, and many who were lame and paralyzed were also healed. This resulted in an uncontainable joy filling the city!
[Simon the Sorcerer Converted]
Now, there was a man who lived there who was steeped in sorcery. For some time he had astounded the people of Samaria with his magic, boasting to be someone great. Everyone, from the least to the greatest among them, was dazzled by his sorcery, saying, “This man is the greatest wizard of all! The divine power of God walks among us!” For many years everyone was in awe of him because of his astonishing displays of the magic arts.
But as Philip preached the wonderful news of God’s kingdom realm, and the name of Jesus the Anointed One, many believed his message and were baptized, both men and women. Even Simon believed and was baptized! Wherever Philip went, Simon was right by his side, astounded by all the miracles, signs, and enormous displays of power that he witnessed.
When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that the Samaritans had accepted God’s message of life, they sent Peter and John to pray over them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit. For they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and were yet to have the Holy Spirit fall upon them. As soon as Peter and John arrived, they laid their hands on the Samaritan believers, one after another, and the Holy Spirit fell and filled each one of them!
When Simon saw how the Holy Spirit was released through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he approached them and offered them money, saying, “I want this power too. I’m willing to pay you for the anointing that you have, so that I also can lay my hands on everyone to receive the Holy Spirit.”
Peter rebuked him and said, “Your money will go with you to destruction! How could you even think that you could purchase God’s supernatural gift with money? You will never have this gift or take part in this ministry, for your heart is not right with God. Repent this moment for allowing such wickedness to fill you. Plead with the Lord that perhaps he would forgive you the treachery of your heart. For I discern that jealous envy has poisoned you and binds you as a captive to sin.”
Simon begged, “Peter, please pray to God for me. Plead with him so that nothing you just said over me may come to pass!”
[Philip and the Ethiopian]
After Peter and John had testified and taught the word of God in that city, they returned to Jerusalem, stopping at many Samaritan villages along the way to preach the hope of the gospel.
Then the Lord’s angel said to Philip, “Now go south from Jerusalem on the desert road to Gaza.” He left immediately on his assignment.
Along the way he encountered an Ethiopian who believed in the God of the Jews, who was the minister of finance for Candace, queen of Ethiopia. He was on his way home from worshiping God in Jerusalem. As he rode along in his chariot, he was reading from the scroll of Isaiah.
The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go and walk alongside the chariot.”
So Philip ran to catch up. As he drew closer he overheard the man reading from the scroll of Isaiah the prophet. Philip asked him, “Sir, do you understand what you’re reading?”
The man answered, “How can I possibly make sense of this without someone explaining it to me?” So he invited Philip up into his chariot to sit with him.
The portion from Isaiah he was reading was this:
He was led away to the slaughter
like a lamb to be offered.
He was like a lamb that is silent
before those who sheared him—
he never even opened his mouth.
In his lowliness justice was stripped away from him.
And who could fully express his struggles?
For his life was taken from the earth.
The Ethiopian asked Philip, “Please, can you tell me who the prophet is speaking of? Is it himself or another man?”
Philip started with this passage and shared with him the wonderful message of Jesus.
As they were traveling down the road, the man said, “Look, here’s a pool of water. Why don’t I get baptized right now?”
Philip replied, “If you believe with all your heart, I’ll baptize you.”
The man answered, “I believe that Jesus is the Anointed One, the Son of God.”
The Ethiopian stopped his chariot, and they went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water, Philip was suddenly snatched up by the Spirit of the Lord and instantly carried away to the city of Ashdod, where he reappeared, preaching the gospel in that city.
The man never saw Philip again. He returned to Ethiopia full of great joy. Philip, however, traveled on to all of the towns of that region, bringing them the good news, until he arrived at Caesarea.
The Book of Acts, Chapter 8 (The Passion Translation)
Ethiopia is said to be the “birthplace” of coffee.
A chapter of the New Testament paired with the closing chapter 3 of Habakkuk and accompanied by the lines of Psalm 4 and Proverbs 4 for the 4th day of january, and Psalm 15 for the 15th day of Winter
[Psalm 4]
For the worship leader. A song of David accompanied by strings.
Answer my prayers, O True God, the righteous, who makes me right.
I was hopelessly surrounded, and You rescued me.
Once again hear me; hide me in Your favor;
bring victory in defeat and hope in hopelessness.
How long will you sons of Adam steal my dignity, reduce my glory to shame?
Why pine for the fruitless and dream a delusion?
[pause]
Understand this: The Eternal One treats as special those like Him.
The Eternal will answer my prayers and save me.
Think long; think hard. When you are angry, don’t let it carry you into sin.
When night comes, in calm be silent.
[pause]
From this day forward, offer to God the right sacrifice from a heart made right by God.
Entrust yourself to the Eternal.
Crowds of disheartened people ask, “Who can show us what is good?”
Let Your brilliant face shine upon us, O Eternal One, that we may know the undeniable answer.
You have filled me with joy, and happiness has risen in my heart, great delight and unrivaled joy,
even more than when bread abounds and wine flows freely.
Tonight I will sleep securely on a bed of peace
because I trust You, You alone, O Eternal One, will keep me safe.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 4 (The Voice)
Listen to me, you elite among men:
How long will you defame my honor
and drag it down into shame?
Will you ever stop insulting me?
How long will you set your heart on shadows,
chasing your lies and delusions?
Pause in his presence
The Book of Psalms, Poem 4:2 (The Passion Translation)
what are you chasing in life on earth?
[Psalm 15]
A song of David.
Eternal One, who is invited to stay in Your dwelling?
Who is granted passage to Your holy mountain?
Here is the answer: The one who lives with integrity, does what is right,
and speaks honestly with truth from the heart.
The one who doesn’t speak evil against others
or wrong his neighbor,
or slander his friends.
The one who loathes the loathsome,
honors those who fear the Eternal,
And keeps all promises no matter the cost.
The one who does not lend money with gain in mind
and cannot be bought to harm an innocent name.
If you live this way, you will not be shaken and will live together with the Lord.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 15 (The Voice)
[Proverbs 4]
Gather, children, to hear your father’s instruction.
Pay close attention so you will understand,
For I am passing down to you important precepts.
Do not abandon these valuable life lessons.
Back when I was young—the very image of my father,
and yet from my mother’s view, still her only boy—
My father, with his years of experience, became my teacher.
Father: Son, grab on to every word I say to you—hold them close—
stay true to my instructions as you live, and they will serve you well.
Whatever it takes to gain Wisdom, do it.
To gain understanding, do it! Never forget this!
Never stray from what I am telling you.
If you don’t forsake Lady Wisdom, she will protect you.
Love her, and she will faithfully take care of you.
Gaining sound judgment is key, so first things first: go after Lady Wisdom!
Now, whatever else you do, follow through to understanding.
Cherish her, and she will help you rise above the confusion of life—
your possibilities will open up before you—
embrace her, and she will raise you to a place of honor in return.
She will provide the finishing touch to your character—grace;
she will give you an elegant confidence.
Hear my words, my son, and take them in;
let them soak in so that you will live a long, full life.
I have pointed you in the way of wisdom;
I have steered you down the path to integrity.
So get going. And as you go, know this: with integrity you will overcome all obstacles;
even if you run, you will not stumble.
Tighten your grip around wise advice; don’t let it slip away.
Protect Wisdom, for without her, life isn’t worth living.
Do not start down the road of the wicked—
the first step is easy, but it leads to heartache—
do not go along the way of evildoers.
Stay away from it; don’t even go past it—
and if you find yourself anywhere near it,
turn your back and run as far as you can in the opposite direction.
For evildoers are so twisted they cannot sleep unless they have caused harm;
they’ll lie awake all night until they figure out a way to cause someone to stumble.
For they feed on evil the way most eat bread;
they drink violence the way most guzzle wine.
Yet the way of those who do right is like the early morning sun
that shines brighter and brighter until noon.
Evildoers travel a dark road because they love to hide their deeds in darkness;
they can’t see the perils ahead that cause them to stumble.
0 My son, pay attention to all the words I am telling you.
Lean in closer so you may hear all I say.
Keep them before you; meditate on them;
set them safely in your heart.
For those who discover them, they are life.
They bring wholeness and healing to their bodies.
Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it
because from a sincere and pure heart come the good and noble things of life.
Do away with any talk that twists and distorts the truth;
have nothing to do with any verbal trickery.
Keep your head up, your eyes straight ahead,
and your focus fixed on what is in front of you.
Take care you don’t stray from the straight path, the way of truth,
and you will safely reach the end of your road.
Do not veer off course to the right or the left;
step away from evil, and leave it behind.
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 4 (The Voice)
[Healing Words]
Listen carefully, my dear child, to everything that I teach you,
and pay attention to all that I have to say.
Fill your thoughts with my words
until they penetrate deep into your spirit.
Then, as you unwrap my words,
they will impart true life and radiant health
into the very core of your being.
So above all, guard the affections of your heart,
for they affect all that you are.
Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being,
for from there flows the wellspring of life.
Avoid dishonest speech and pretentious words.
Be free from using perverse words no matter what!
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 4:20-24 (The Passion Translation)
can you have peace within, no matter the outward circumstances? will you still trust in Love to make things right, eventually, when things on earth go wrong?
we see such hope displayed in the closing lines of the ancient writing of Habakkuk:
Though the cherry trees don’t blossom
and the strawberries don’t ripen,
Though the apples are worm-eaten
and the wheat fields stunted,
Though the sheep pens are sheepless
and the cattle barns empty,
I’m singing joyful praise to God.
I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God.
Counting on God’s Rule to prevail,
I take heart and gain strength.
I run like a deer.
I feel like I’m king of the mountain!
(For congregational use, with a full orchestra.)
The Book of Habakkuk, Chapter 3:17-19 (The Message)
and for those who wrongfully attack innocent people, at some point it will fall back on their own heads, just as seen written in verse 14 of the same chapter:
Their warriors rushed in to scatter us,
thrilled to consume their poor victims in secret,
But You turned their weapons against them
and pierced the heads of their warriors with their own arrows.
The Book of Habakkuk, Chapter 3:14 (The Voice)

RESURRECTED: THE STONE ROSES, FRIDAY 17TH JUNE 2016, ETIHAD STADIUM, MANCHESTER. 🍋
As required, the crowd and stage were ready; the atmosphere was not bubbling – it was boiling. For those unfortunate enough to miss Heaton Park in that overly British summer of 2012, this was the one.
Besides Reni (the worlds most underrated drummer) who was once a City mascot, you wouldn’t be out of line wondering why these 3 notoriously proud United fans are migrating into the rivals’ home, the Etihad, for 4 nights on the bounce. The considerable weight of their lemon-print wallets may lead you to some form of answer.
(On the subject of rock stars with footballing allegiances, a message for the wishful thinkers or sufferers of severe delusion (topical for United fans): if you are expecting to see the Gallagher’s strut up towards Old Trafford for a freshly reformed Oasis in the near future, you may find your wishes put to better use; perhaps purchasing lottery tickets or expecting little Leicester City to win the Premier Lea..g…u…e…
Oh.
Well, Noel (the extremely humble and famously shy one) suggested in a pass interview he would consider reforming for 250 million pot noodles. Now, all you’d have to do is simply multiply that figure by 2 and without question you would see those parka wearing, silver tongue swearing, Beatle-chord-sharing, [these rhymes are overbearing] group of fellas march out triumphantly in front of the Stretford End.
Hang on, wait.
No. No, of course you bloody wouldn’t!)
Anyway, my allegiances lay at neither end of the Second City (sorry Brummies), so I was happy enough to be succumbed by the sky blue bowl of the Etihad.
The lady and I drove up that Friday morning from our Somerset shire with the laughable intention of emptying our bags at the Air BNB, meandering through the banker-wanker-hub the Northern Quarter* before perching outside a local pub – acknowledging the positives to take from life as a Northerner, most notably the cheap booze.
*Apparently the Northern Quarter isn’t cool to everyday Mancs so I’ve subtly made a quip in order to present myself as a man of the people. Though 99% of bankers are indeed wankers and their post-work ego-riddled hubs are intolerable. I repeat, wankers.
(When the following day this fantastical idea of meandering aimlessly and sociably drinking became reality, I dug out a tenner and politely asked a nearby Barman for 2 pints. To my naïve confusion he gave five quid of it back. I stopped him and nervously uttered ‘I said two pints please mate’, to which the naturally irate barman angrily responded ‘that is for two!’ in such a way that suggested I was a soft southern bastard, I should neck the beer and get out of his pub. We actually stayed for a couple more of these mysteriously cheap jars of gold (6 PINTS FOR £15) and inevitably began chatting with the always affable locals. This being a particular area where the lady and I thrive; pre-gig rambles with fellow devotes of music/alcohol/sport/loose-political-understandings.
Collectively we form the dream super group, formally known as the Work-Avoiding Socialites.
At least for a day or two. Before the group disintegrates with heavy heads and empty wallets. Flying off slowly into the bleak abyss of reality.
Unfortunately, due to a combination of increasing British population, subsequent congested roads and much dreaded Friday afternoon drives, the reliably shite M4 put a halt to our afore mentioned plans. The falsely advertised 4-and-a-half-hour journey turned into an 8-hour marathon. Thus, 15 Beers were purchased rapidly from a Stretford Tesco and swallowed within seconds of each other. Alongside a brief acknowledgment of our flat hosts, several considerable chugs of Gin and with the good blessings of Uber, we raced across the city. Inevitable taxi rant reluctantly listened too, tickets in pocket and support acts departed (gutted to have missed Public Enemy, though I caught the end of ‘Harder Than You Think’ from the ticket gate), we shimmied our way down the stadium steps, greeted by the unfailingly delightful sight of a fully maxed out crowd. Our beer-mortgage was taken out and put to use once more, acquiring 4 further cold ones for the price of one Fiat 500. We tunnelled our way to a satisfactory spot (considering our lateness) and stood shoulder-to-shoulder as mere specks in this glorious mess of people. A classic case of organised chaos. The atmosphere was now uncontainable; as thick as three Mars bars. Spirits were higher than the sky, as were 90% of the crowd. It appeared the city were collectively pushing for gold in the synchronised sniffing and looked certain to retain their medal.
* Queue one of the very ultimate opening-set-tunes – I Wanna Be Adored. Mani’s thick atmospheric bass line. Brown, the Messiah, rattling his tambourine, acknowledging his worshipers; arms raised aloft. Squire preparing to let rip one of his many outrageous guitar riffs. Remi rocking the outfit that inspires us all, sticks in hand. *
That iconic concoction of bass and guitar got it going before the colossal drum beat barged its way in. Holy mother of Moses! The lid of the Etihad was not only blown off the pan, it landed on the kitchen floor with a Bucket Hat and a pair of Adidas Spezials rooted to its feet.

Case 1: Brian’s Franchise
Marijuana comes from the Indian hemp plant and is used as a psychoactive (i.e. mind altering) recreational drug, for a particular medical conditions and for religious and spiritual purposes. The main active chemical in marijuana is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) which is a psychoactive ingredient. Marijuana is usually smoked as a cigarette or in a pipe. When marijuana smoke is inhaled, THC quickly passes from the lungs into the bloodstream and is carried to the brain and other organs all over the body. THC from the marijuana acts on specific receptors in the brain that result to the euphoria or "high" that user’s usually experienced.
Because marijuana basically affects the brain, marijuana abuse may demonstrate low accomplishment in important life measures including mental and physical health, and career. Marijuana affects memory, judgment and perception, learning and attention skills among people who use it heavily. Marijuana also may affect mental health. Study shows that early use of marijuana may upsurge the risk of developing psychosis (a severe mental disorder in which there is a loss of contact with reality) including false ideas about what is happening (delusions) and seeing or hearing things that aren’t exist (hallucinations).
Long-term usage of marijuana may result to addiction. A person is deemed addicted if it causes obsessive, uncontainable drug craving even in the face of health hazard and social stigma. While some users acquire tolerance to marijuana; meaning that the user demands higher doses to get the same desired results that he or she used to get from smaller quantities.
On the other hand, marijuana is used for medical purposes in treating some known diseases (e.g. AIDS/HIV, Alzheimer, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis). Medical marijuana are legalized in some countries like Canada, Columbia, Czech Republic, Romania, France and some states in the US. In the Philippines, patients and parents of children who are in need of medical marijuana are still pushing legalization and regulation in the country. (Reference: news.yahoo.com/countries-where-marijuana-legal-form-193400717.html)
In the case of Brian’s Franchise, Brian’s purpose is on expanding the business and is more on the economic side. The business goal is to make profit and not solely on the idea as medical marijuana.
On my view, there should be interference and control from the government on the utilization of marijuana. Our government should study the legalization of marijuana and take into consideration possible effect on public safety. My heart is with those parents who push legalization of medical marijuana for their children as long as there is control from the government and assurance from the medical point of view on the safeness and how effective is the medical marijuana. But I opposed growing and selling of marijuana for recreational and business purposes.
From an ethical point of view, business objective is not just to make profit but should also consider its social and moral obligation to the society. Brian can focus on growing his business with a mission on helping people most in need of it in the form of medical marijuana. He can partner with pharmaceutical drug companies in improving the substance as medical treatment or drugs. Brian can operate in Amsterdam for now, but who knows that time will come this will be banned in that country.
From this case, you will learn that are lot factors to consider in engaging into business. You should know government control and regulations and its cause in the society your business belong with. That aside from the fortune it will bring in your bank account, promotion of common good and your contribution in the progress of the community in terms of good ethics and morality should take into account.

if we don’t know truth then we cannot be free.
we simply must find rebirth and its eternal hope that refines the heart into the purest gold.
(inside, Anew)
Today’s reading of the Scriptures from the New Testament is the 8th chapter of the book of Acts:
Now, Saul agreed to be an accomplice to Stephen’s stoning and participated in his execution. From that day on, a great persecution of the church in Jerusalem began. All the believers scattered into the countryside of Judea and among the Samaritans, except the apostles who remained behind in Jerusalem. God-fearing men gave Stephen a proper burial and mourned greatly over his death.
Then Saul mercilessly persecuted the church of God, going from house to house into the homes of believers to arrest both men and women and drag them off to prison.

A set of posts by John Parsons about humility:
"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will seek to enter but will not be able" (Luke 13:24). The narrow door is the way of humility, assuming a low position, crawling, if you will, and making yourself small... It is the way of the cross of Messiah, confessing the truth of our condition and trusting in God alone for deliverance.. The narrow door is the way of faith - trusting God’s compassion and righteousness given on your behalf. The large, wide-open door is designed for the crowd and its various idols. Beware of the world that seeks to assimilate the soul: beware of becoming part of the crowd! The individual is lost and overwhelmed in the midst of the crowd and its momentum. The crowd assimilates the soul, laughs at the notion of individual responsibility, and abandons itself to the gravity of fallen natural forces... The life of faith, on the other hand, refuses to regard the individual human heart as a triviality. Faith is an individual struggle, a walk into unknowing; it is the way of the sojourner who feels uneasy in this world of shadows... God is always with us and helps us stay strong and resolute, even as we struggle through the darkness of this age. Press on, friend: the day and the hour draw near! [Hebrew for Christians]

Our Torah this week (i.e., Korach) begins, "And Korah took" (וַיִּקַּח קרַח), which immediately suggests something about the character of the man. Though he was wealthy, esteemed among his tribe, and honored with the task of caring for the Ark of the Covenant, none of this was enough for Korah... There was an insatiable hunger, a "black hole" in his soul, an unrelenting envy, that drove him to madness and self-destruction. Korah was imprisoned by his own jealousy, arrogance, and spite. When he compared himself to Moses and Aaron, he felt overlooked, deprived, and therefore he justified in his desire to be honored. As an archetypal figure, Korach warns us against being swallowed up with egotistical envy or seeking the praises of men (Matt. 23:2-7).
In the Kingdom of heaven, worldly success is sheer delusion. There are open and hidden riches. There is a pearl of great price, a treasure "hidden in a field." These riches are regarded as "fool's gold" to those who love this world and trust only in the realm of the phenomenal, but to those who trust in the LORD, they represent all that the heart needs...
“And when the other disciples heard [that James and John sought prominence], they were indignant” (Mark 10:41). But why were they aggrieved except that they sought glory for themselves? The faults we see in others usually mirror our own... If your brother offends you, test your own heart to see where you share his fault... Or do you seek reward for your service to God alone? Do you request a “chief seat” at His table? Any “reward” in the truest sense must include empathy and service for the benefit of others. Heavenly rewards are never gained through self-promotion but through losing yourself in the father's business (Luke 17:10). We don't make old wine from new... What good is any “reward,” after all, if it were gained at the expense of your brother or sister? Is such praiseworthy? We can only look past ourselves and see others when we understand that we are in as much need of God’s mercy as they are... It is natural enough to want a blessing, but check your heart: the Apostle Paul was willing to himself be accursed for the sake of the well-being and blessing of his own brothers (Rom. 9:3).
The son of Zoma said (Avot 4:1): "Who is wise? He who learns from all people, as it is said: 'From all those who taught me I gained understanding' (Psalm 119:99). Who is strong? He who conquers his evil inclination, as it is said: 'Better is one slow to anger than a strong man, and one who rules over his spirit than a conqueror of a city' (Prov. 16:32). Who is rich? He who is satisfied with his lot, as it is said: 'When you eat the toil of your hands you are fortunate and it is good for you' (Psalm 128:2). 'You are fortunate' - in this world; 'and it is good for you' - in the World to Come. Who is honored? He who honors others, as it is said: 'For those who honor Me will I honor, and those who scorn Me will be degraded'" (1 Sam. 2:30). [Hebrew for Christians]

Today’s message (Days of Praise) from the Institute for Creation Research
June 7, 2021
Likeminded
“Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” (Philippians 2:2)
This emphatic command, along with the parallel terms, helps us understand the concept of “thinking” the same thing. “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits” (Romans 12:16).
Such thinking also includes “having the same love.” There are two aspects of this love. First, the term itself (agape) would demand that all of Christ’s disciples “love one another: for love is of God” (1 John 4:7). This is often repeated to born-again believers so that our love for each other is so obvious that “by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples” (John 13:35).
Godly love then produces “being of one accord.” This phrase is the translation of the Greek word sumpsuchos, which is a compound of the preposition most often translated “with” and the word for “soul.” Thus, the agape that we are to share results in a connection “with-soul” that binds the “likemindedness” in agreement with the mind and spirit of the Creator God.
We are finally commanded to be of “one mind”—slightly different from the “likeminded” opening charge of Philippians 2:2. The initial words are auto phroneô—“his thinking.” The last use is en phroneô—one (way of) thinking.
The entire context of the opening verses of Philippians 2 is to think like Jesus Christ thinks. “Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5). “Set your affection [phroneô] on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2). This kind of “thinking” must have God’s love and soul embedded in the very core of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. HMM III

Today’s reading from the ancient book of Proverbs and book of Psalms
for june 3 of 2021 with Proverbs 3 and Psalm 3, accompanied by Psalm 76 for the 76th day of Spring and Psalm 4 for day 154 of the year (now with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 2nd revolution this year)
[Proverbs 3]
[The Rewards of Wisdom]
My child, if you truly want a long and satisfying life,
never forget the things that I’ve taught you.
Follow closely every truth that I’ve given you.
Then you will have a full, rewarding life.
Hold on to loyal love and don’t let go,
and be faithful to all that you’ve been taught.
Let your life be shaped by integrity,
with truth written upon your heart.
That’s how you will find favor and understanding
with both God and men—
you will gain the reputation of living life well.
[Wisdom’s Guidance]
Trust in the Lord completely,
and do not rely on your own opinions.
With all your heart rely on him to guide you,
and he will lead you in every decision you make.
Become intimate with him in whatever you do,
and he will lead you wherever you go.
Don’t think for a moment that you know it all,
for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion
and avoid everything that’s wrong.
Then you will find the healing refreshment
your body and spirit long for.
Glorify God with all your wealth,
honoring him with your firstfruits,
with every increase that comes to you.
Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings
from an uncontainable source of inner joy!
[Wisdom’s Correction]
My child, when the Lord God speaks to you,
never take his words lightly,
and never be upset when he corrects you.
For the Father’s discipline comes only
from his passionate love and pleasure for you.
Even when it seems like his correction is harsh,
it’s still better than any father on earth gives to his child.
Blessings pour over the ones who find wisdom,
for they have obtained living-understanding.
As wisdom increases, a great treasure is imparted,
greater than many bars of refined gold.
It is a more valuable commodity than gold and gemstones,
for there is nothing you desire that could compare to her.
Wisdom extends to you long life in one hand
and wealth and promotion in the other.
Out of her mouth flows righteousness,
and her words release both law and mercy.
The ways of wisdom are sweet,
always drawing you into the place of wholeness.
Seeking for her brings the discovery of untold blessings,
for she is the healing tree of life to those who taste her fruits.
[Wisdom’s Blueprints]
The Lord laid the earth’s foundations with wisdom’s blueprints.
By his living-understanding all the universe came into being.
By his divine revelation he broke open
the hidden fountains of the deep,
bringing secret springs to the surface
as the mist of the night dripped down from heaven.
[Wisdom, Our Hiding Place]
My child, never drift off course from these two goals for your life:
to walk in wisdom and to discover your purpose.
Don’t ever forget how they empower you.
For they strengthen you inside and out
and inspire you to do what’s right;
you will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring.
They give you living hope to guide you,
and not one of life’s tests will cause you to stumble.
You will sleep like a baby, safe and sound—
your rest will be sweet and secure.
You will not be subject to terror, for it will not terrify you.
Nor will the disrespectful be able to push you aside,
because God is your confidence in times of crisis,
keeping your heart at rest in every situation.
[Wisdom in Relationships]
Why would you withhold payment on your debt
when you have the ability to pay? Just do it!
When your friend comes to ask you for a favor,
why would you say, “Perhaps tomorrow,”
when you have the money right there in your pocket?
Help him today!
Why would you hold a grudge in your heart
toward your neighbor who lives right next door?
And why would you quarrel with those
who have done nothing wrong to you?
Is that a chip on your shoulder?
Don’t act like those bullies or learn their ways.
Every violent thug is despised by the Lord,
but every tender lover finds friendship with God
and will hear his intimate secrets.
The wicked walk under God’s constant curse,
but the righteous walk under a stream of his blessing,
for they seek to do what is right.
If you walk with the mockers you will learn to mock,
but God’s grace and favor flow to the meek.
Stubborn fools fill their lives with disgrace,
but glory and honor rest upon the wise.
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 3 (The Passion Translation)
[Psalm 3]
Covered by the Glory
King Davids song when he was forced to flee from Absalom, his own son
[The Humbling of a King]
Lord, I have so many enemies, so many who are against me.
Listen to how they whisper their slander against me, saying:
“Look! He’s hopeless! Even God can’t save him from this!”
Pause in his presence
[The Help of God]
But in the depths of my heart I truly know
that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield;
You take me and surround me with yourself.
Your glory covers me continually.
You lift high my head.
I have cried out to you, Yahweh, from your holy presence.
You send me a Father’s help.
Pause in his presence
[The Song of Safety]
So now I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby—
then I’ll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory.
Even though ten thousand dark powers prowl around me,
I won’t be afraid.
[The Secret of Strength]
Rise up and help me, Yahweh! Come and save me, God!
For you will slap them in the face,
breaking the power of their words to harm me.
For the Lord alone is my Savior.
What a feast of favor and bliss he gives his people!
Pause in his presence
The Book of Psalms, Poem 3 (The Passion Translation)
[Psalm 76]
For the worship leader. A song of Asaph accompanied by strings.
The One known in Judah is the True God;
in Israel, His name is great.
He has made Salem His home;
indeed, He rests in Zion.
There He destroyed the instruments of war:
flaming arrows, shields, and swords.
[pause]
You rise and shine like the dawn.
You are more majestic than the mountains where game runs wild.
The strong-hearted enemies were plundered;
they were buried in slumber.
Even the noble warriors
could not raise a hand to stop You.
O True God of Jacob, with just Your rebuke
both horse and rider fell into a deep sleep.
You are feared; yes, You.
And who can stand before You when Your anger flares?
You decreed judgment from the heavens.
The earth heard it and was petrified with fear, completely still,
When the True God arose for judgment
to deliver all the meek of the earth.
[pause]
For the wrath of man will end in praise of You,
and whatever wrath is left You will wrap around Yourself like a belt.
Make vows to the Eternal your God,
and do all you promised;
Let all the nations around you bring gifts
to the God who arouses fear and awe.
He squashes the arrogant spirit of the rulers
and inspires fear in the hearts of the kings of the earth.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 76 (The Voice)
[Psalm 4]
For the worship leader. A song of David accompanied by strings.
Answer my prayers, O True God, the righteous, who makes me right.
I was hopelessly surrounded, and You rescued me.
Once again hear me; hide me in Your favor;
bring victory in defeat and hope in hopelessness.
