news: i've started drafting The Hero's Villain 👀
Fenix let out a sigh, relaxing her tensed posture. “Okay, listen, I don’t want to hurt you. Just give the mask back, and you’ll be in a lot less trouble.” Her eyes slid past me, to the broken display case and the vandalized placard, but she didn’t comment on them—maybe trying to convince me that it really would be okay if I just gave up now.
The idea of the League going easy on anyone was laughable. Trespassing, breaking and entering, theft, vandalism, anything else I’d done tonight that hadn’t registered as a crime—even if they decided to turn this over to the police, there was no way I was avoiding jail time. The best thing I could do now was stick to the plan, following my own personal golden rule of villainy: don’t get caught.
I mustered up an over-confident grin. “Yeah, I don’t think so.” Then I started running.
i must've written this first chapter about ten times by now, but i think this attempt is going well!
i might start posting excerpts here just to hold myself accountable for staying on track with this wip ...

Thinking about a Phantom Show OC to add into the OC x Canon Wagon.

Gender: Female (she/her)
Species: Rabbid-Bat Hybrid, or a Rab-Bat
Career: Horror Movie Director, Special Effects Artist, Set Designer, and Author
Originally From: Palette Prime
Summary: Dahlia arrived at the Space Opera Network to achieve her potential after "moving out" of Paletteville. In other words, she was kicked out by the townsfolk, who feared that she was going to be cursed just like T.S. Woodrow. In an effort to not let such an experience hinder her journey, Dahlia expresses that moment through the creation of horror films.
Personality: Dahlia is a quiet and sensitive Rab-Bat, a trait subconsciously picked up from her best friend and pen pal, Woodrow. She would rather take in the ambience of company instead of joining in on their conversation. This is also due to her neurodivergent nature, making her suspectable to sensory overload, her "social battery" rapidly losing energy, heavy anxiety, and depression. Despite all of these, Dahlia is a hard worker whose perseverance shows when her mind is set on a goal, no matter how big or small it is.
Likes: The Horror genre (including subgenres of any media), monsters, poetry, Gothic literature, antiques, scented candles, nature, her earphones (she wears them almost all the time), fake blood, "realistic" props, old ruins, the seasons Autumn and Winter, and her eclectic music tastes.
Relationships:
Phantom - Dahlia's celebrity crush; is totally fine with being just friends with him, but is very shy about it.
Woodrow - her one and only bestest friend from Palette Prime; very close to him platonically and will not hesitate to murder anyone who hurts him.
Rabido (@hostdoozy) - "first name on the hit list" at worst, tolerated acquaintance at best.
Fenix (@majorpepperidge) - friendly acquaintance, wants to get to know more but is struck with the 'tism.

i'd say his style is a mixture of someone that used a time machine to get dressed and ex cowboy vibes that stick since his nomad days. jacket that looks like it has seen 3 centuries and is hanging by a thread + boots are his main point. cowboy boots or pointy ones, also he loves shirts with busy prints. he can spice it up and will but he truly rocks the effortless look sooo well for his everyday outfits
