Because Ventress is still alive (I will not accept anything else) how do you think she’s been spending her years since we last saw her? Is she just vibing as a pirate or fucking with the Empire silently?

Something something Dooku survives the Clone Wars, the Imperial Era, and even a few years past the OT...
And Luke finds him while looking for More Jedi to help him teach.
Chewie recognizes the decrepit old bastard, and there is yelling, but being A Hundred And Nine has mellowed Dooku out in his own dusty hermit hut, on the other side of the galaxy from Ben and Yoda's hermit huts.
All the Jedi ghosts are unhappy with this but Dooku is… not REFORMED, technically, but he's old and tired, even if the Force keeps him a bit more healthy and energized than the average Old Guy, and humans routinely live to pretty unreal old ages in the gffa anyway so really 109 for them is probably like 85 for us.
But yeah. Old mountain hermit (to contrast the desert and the swamp) who's been in hiding from That Dick Sidious since he lost both hands to babyface Vader in 19BBY.
@jebiknights (Sammie) said:
Dooku finds out Luke was also trained by Yoda and is like "oh Yoda finally gave me a younger brother like I always wanted"
Alternately he could probably get Luke to call him Great-Great-Grandfather.
Sammie: Funniest option is he's both which makes Luke even more confused lmao Ghost Obi wan in the background like "stop fucking using non Jedi terms to describe Jedi relationships it doesn't fucking work"
Luke calls him, irreverently, Gramps, but also. Leia definitely recognizes him as a Recent Historic Political Figure, but not until AFTER Luke has already integrated Dooku into his new Jedi school.
"Why did Chewie let him do that?" He thought it was funny. (And/or if you like Chewku, you can make this some sordid exes thing.)
"Why did R2 let him do that?" Best keep evil man in electrical prodding range.
Sammie: Leia comes to the school for her biweekly Jedi lessons and sees the newest teacher was a traitor to the Republic 😭
Best if they can find Quin or Ventress out in the black. Partly because like. Does this make Ventress their step-grandma (Quinlan's on-off something) or their great-great-aunt (Dooku's 4th apprentice)?
Sammie: Both and also Luke's niece. Luke has a migraine by the end of it and Leia is ready to disown herself. Ventress: I didn't realize the Jedi were so incestuous Luke: war flashbacks to before he realized Leia was his sister
Ahsoka in the corner with Spacebucks, five years late "Y'all suck. Hey, Quin."
Sammie: I know you likely didn't bring up Quinlan thinking of QuinObi but now I'm imagining Quinlan declaring himself their grandpa when he meets the twins bc 1) he loves to cause chaos 2) he does/did consider Anakin his kid even if not in neat non Jedi terms and 3) Obi-Wan thought being considered Anakin's father made him sound old, and Quinlan needs to harass him beyond the grave
Dooku must have a cane that the ghosts heckle him about because He Clearly Wants To Be Just Like Yoda.
@lyntergalactic (Lyn) said:
I feel like evil gramps could really bring out Ahsoka's snark once she shows up and that would be highly entertaining Ahsoka is simultaneously his most and least favorite grandchild
She's the most experienced as a Jedi (Ventress went full Sith, not just leaving the Order but following the tenets like Ahsoka, and Quinlan isn't in the lineage), has never Fallen unless you count that thing on Mortis.
Also she WILL bitch Dooku out at this age, and honestly he kind of appreciates the brutal honesty.
Ahsoka: I'm not a Jedi. All the old people: Lies
She brings up the Hondo incident since nobody else is putting in the effort. Anakin and Obi-Wan COULD as ghosts but nooooooo she has to do everything around here.
Sammie: Oh but it sets them off so hard they can barely get the story off from laughing NGL I think the twins did not understand how truly annoying Obi-Wan and Anakin could be together until the Hondo story gets told.
They are The Worst.

After episode 9, I just had to sketch her, plus a bonus Quinlan who was probably just chilling, waiting for his wife to return from work. Probably wanted to cuddle in bed a little longer

I just can’t stop thinking about how all signs point to the fact that Ventress and Quinlan are both alive and either have found each other or still could.
I imagine she’s tracking down Force sensitive children and then passing them off to Quinlan who is working with Tala and the Path. ❤️

Some Quinlan Vos/Bad Batch speculation because it could fix/break everything (and I want my man back)
Was it established how Ventress found Omega and the boys on Pabu? We can pretend it was her force signature, but what if she got Fennec to give her something Hunter and Wrecker left behind (maybe some chipped off piece of armor, etc) and Ventress handed it over to her psychometric partner, who then narrowed the location down based on memories?
In any case, psychometry could be the turning point for the rest of the series. What if when Ventress was on the Marauder she nabbed some of Omega and Crosshair's former Tantiss prisoner uniforms, knowing something was going to go down? If the children in the Vault were already on the precursor-to-the-Path's radar, Ventress may have had other intentions seeking out Omega rather than just the M-count discussion.
So let's say Ventress gives Vos the objects belonging to the two who have been on Tantiss - if they find out the coordinates, great. But does psychometry work if the memory-holding-person is un/semiconscious? Imagine Vos seeing something in Crosshair's memories that Crosshair himself doesn't remember, referencing the dark past that Shadow Clone hinted at. What if that's how we find out CX-2's identity?
There are plenty of ways Vos's psychometry leads the batch to Tantiss, but you know what would do me in? If Ventress takes Vos to Pabu to debrief and look for clues, and he touches Tech's goggles, which we know are safe from the Marauder's destruction. We would instantly know what Tech's final moments were like, or if they were his final moments at all.
If Vos has been in hiding, which makes total sense considering he's not only a Jedi, but one that the Empire might see as prime Inquisitor material given his dark past, I feel like getting a chance to save the kids from the Vault might push him out. Not to mention Ventress being alive and clearly having a soft spot for Omega already.
It's pretty hard to imagine Vos not being reintroduced soon, given all the opportunity.

Do you understand how impeccable the writing has to be for me to go feral over a canon m/f pairing??? Like it’s one thing for me to occasionally ship a m/f pairing that are never canon who I enjoy the potential unexplored dynamic for, but it’s so rare that I actually like canon m/f pairings, it’s basically the highest praise a writer can receive from me if I’m losing it over one

If the last four Jedi talk with quinlan then they also get to talk to assajj! Because the Legends continuity where they get together is the only one I accept as canon 😁
and everyone can discover the weird tendency psychometric jedi seem to have!

Hi have a concept I cannot write myself because I don't know FJO outside of fanfic.
Two things happen:
Ventress survives past the end of the war, and is known to be alive and keeping away from the Empire.
A very Traditionalist Mandalorian visits Dathomir in the two or three years post-RotS (ship damage or something,) and finds tween Merrin.
Cue a quest to find The Known Surviving Dathomiri Zabrak Nightsister, so as to follow the "child must be returned to their people, or at least we do our best to make it happen" aspect of the foundling process.
(Technically, Maul is an option, but bb!Merrin refuses That option, because Maul, and Elsbeth is not known to Merrin or the Mando.)
Mando with a necromancy teenybopper trying to hunt out this magnificently slippery former Sith Acolyte who thinks she's being hunted for a bounty and definitely keeps hooking up with Quinlan.
Quinlan is how they finally make contact, though. He slips past to get an idea of why this person is trying to find Ventress, and has a Revelation that he needs to call his girlfriend about a New Baby Sister for her.
For fun, the Mandalorian on this quest could be a younger Armorer.

I'm re-reading Dark Disciple and man I wish I had the time/energy/creativity to write an epic crossover with it and the Jedi games.
I was inspired enough to write a summary, although much plot eludes me thusfar.
Cal finds an echo on Dathomir of a powerful Nightsister training a Jedi - after the massacre. Hoping to find more survivors, he and Merrin set off on a quest to follow their trail - and find a story eerily reminiscent of their own.
It could be SO GREAT but I feel like it'd have to be a 50k+ long fic and alas, I'm not sure I'd be able to actually pull it off.

A Quintress redraw of that iconic Princess Mononoke scene because it’s literally them, also because Dark Disciple broke me

Debate, heroic, and secrecy for Quinlan (if you are particularly inspired I would love some Quinlan/Ventress, but if not that's okay too! Go crazy!)
The game: send me three words + a character or pairing and i'll write you a little scene
Let’s just pretend that any part of this mission makes sense. Okay? Ok.
“This is not the time for a debate!” Asajj snarled as an explosion sounded, far too close for comfort.
“Well it’s not like you gave me the chance to weigh in when you took the job, now is it?” Quinlan dodged a piece of shrapnel that went sailing past his shoulder. He knew that earning the bounty hunter’s trust wasn’t something that could be accomplished all at once, and that the confidence she had shared so far was no small matter. He liked to consider himself a practical man; he could accept progress as progress, but there were some things it was better to know before walking into a situation.
Like the fact that there would be an array of booby traps waiting for them. And collateral, innocent civilians, present as a deterrent to their interference.
“I do know your tendency for heroics,” Asajj rolled her eyes as she Force leapt onto the ledge and with a casual slice of her blade freed the hostages from the ray shields that had held them in place. “I assure you, I knew where you stood on the matter.”
Quin sighed as the bystanders, pawns in this game, scrambled to make their way to safety, or at the very least somewhere that was less likely to immediately blow up.
“I thought we were past the secrecy,” he said as Ventress returned to his side. They would move on to clear the next corridor together, trusting each other enough to cover their backs at the very least.
“Oh, aren’t you sweet,” she purred and ran her hand over the golden tattoo that marked his bicep. She had raked her nails over it the night before, gripping tightly as their sweat slick bodies came together. “It’s going to take more than one broken vow and some pillow talk to get to that point.”
And with a quick press of her lips to the gold band on his cheek she was off, leaving him no time for anything else but to follow.

My brother introduced me (aromantically) to a friend of his and he casually mentioned he was reading Bloodline by Claudia Gray. I geeked out with him for at least 15 minutes just gushing about Star Wars books. I would give him a recommendation and he would tell me he already read and loved it. It was a magical conversation.
At one point he said, "I don't care for too many romances in Star Wars. The only good pair is Han and Leia. I don’t even like Anakin and Padme."
"I understand," I replied, "but, Hera and Kanan."
"Of course! Satine and Obi Wan are good too, I guess." He paused. "Wait, how could I forget Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos?!!"
"YOU READ DARK DICIPLE??!!?!?!??!!!"

if I had a nickel for every time a psychometric Jedi went to Dathomir and ended up teaming up with the “last” Nightsister there (after she tried to kill him on their first meeting), I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
