I am proud to present to you the expanded version of Bridge Four! ⚔️ Most likely this will be the final version (more on that below). First of all, I want to say thank you for liking the first version, I was very pleased to receive feedback & nice comments. Secondly, I hope the characters who joined turned out to be recognizable! Thanks to Brotherwise we got official images for many of the characters, so Rlain followed the concept. I have nothing to add except that I need to practice drawing listeners more and Rlain is one of my favorite characters in Rhythm of War! Sigzil turned out to be very serious & calm, I thought about drawing him with longer hair, but his Sunlit Man design was clearly imprinted on me since the book came out. And finally, Lopen! His official design is damn hot and sexy! And I tried to convey his cheerful and slightly daring image, which is why he got a pirate vibe. And the pose is very confident! His outfit is inspired by Ben McSweeney artworks for Dawnshard. And finally: I will not add Moash for obvious reasons. Renarin is undoubtedly part of Bridge of Four too, but I perceive him as a more independent character, so I also did not draw him here (sorry). This post is getting ridiculously long, so I really hope you enjoy the updated version as well! 😊

i just finished words of radiance and my dudes this is probably the best fantasy book I’ve ever read

points about it:

. okay so mr kaladin “honor is dead but i’ll see what i can do” stormblessed carried this book, he is becoming one of my all time favorite characters

. my bestie shallan working the oathgate? revealing to dalinar that she is one of the radiants? i love her honesty

. my boy adolin killed sadeas, finally that slimy rat got what he deserved

. renarin????? truthwatcher????? i knew he was going to be important, i’m so happy for him

. moash my dude, i’m disappointed

. dalinar bonding with the stormfather, you go bondsmith!!

. the whole parshendi summoning the everstorm part was so freaking good

. kaladin saving everyone while revealing he’s radiant, not going to lie. i’ve cried a bit at that part

final consideration:

it is certainly one of the best fantasy books out there, sanderson manages to build the world and the characters so well. can’t wait for what oathbringer has in store for me.

Cosmere Characters: Should They Be At The Club?

As I think I've mentioned, I write these lists a couple months in advance, usually. So I don't know if the great "They should be at the club!" meme is still going strong, or if people will see this and be all, "Bah! That's SO 2023!" But eh.

So anyway, should Cosmere characters be at the club?

1. Dalinar

Dalinar should not be at the club. Dalinar would not understand the club, and he would not like the club.

2. Sadeas

Weirdly, I think Sadeas would understand the club better than Dalinar would, but he still should not be there. Sadeas's presence would make the club worse, no matter how fashionable he is.

3. Tress

Tress was only eighteen! She should have been at the club, although the club would probably be less exciting than her life at sea.

4. MeLaan

MeLaann is only, uh, thousands of years old (I think) but she should ABSOLUTELY be at the club. She would love the club, and the club would love her too.

5. Rlain

Has Rlain ever NOT been having a tough time? He deserves a wild night at the club with Renarin, and I'm sticking with that.

6. Vivenna

Vivenna was only twenty-two when she was supposed to be sent to marry the god-king. Yes, she should have been at the club instead. She would hate it, though. She would hate it so much.

7. Painter

Painter should get to be at a club lurking in a corner, drinking vodka on the rocks because it sounds tough and wishing it didn't taste so much like rubbing alcohol.

8. Hoid

Hoid should not be at the club. He's very old and also, no one at the club would be able to hear what he was saying and that would make Hoid sad.

9. Demoux

Demoux was in his early twenties when Kelsier's rebellion was going on. He 100% should have been at the club instead. He's named after a friend of Brandon's and Brandon said he'd survive and "get a girl" apparently and those are both things that can happen at a club.

10. Lift

Lift should not be at the club. Isn't she like 13? That's too young for the club.

11. Kaladin

Kaladin should be at the club. Adolin will have to drag him there, though, and he will spend much of the time looking glowery.

12. Ulaam

Ulaam should not go to the club because drunk people cannot consent to giving up their body parts (even after death) and Ulaam knows that and it would make him sad to see all of those beautiful elbows or what-not and not even be able to ASK for them.

13. Sebarial

Sebarial should not be at the club--he should be home drinking with Palona. He would own clubs, though, if he could.

14. Hrathen

Hrathen should not be at the club. He would definitely kill the vibe.

15. Szeth

Szeth is like 35 years old. He should not be at the club. He should be wrapped in a warm blanket and placed somewhere quiet, peaceful.

16. Moash

Yes--at any point in the narrative you can look at what Moash is going through and say, "Would it be better for him to be at the club right now?" and the answer is always yes.

Glys gives Renarin a vision of him falling over in front of a certain handsome Listener. In the hopes of escaping this mortifying fate, he asks the rest of Bridge Four to fly him everywhere for a week. Rlain inversely receives a vision of Renarin falling into his arms and makes as many excuses as possible for Bridge Four to land the Prince onto slippery surfaces. Pattern develops a crush on a suitably complex mathematical equation.

19 - prayer

I thought of vorin prayers that are stitched on sleeves, to be worn and burnt when needed and so I wanted to draw Hesinsa adding some to her men‘s clothes. Also Rlain is there, because I just really like that they seem to have a good rapport. And Oroden :)

Hello these are all my head cannons for the stormlight college AU I’m never gonna write. Feel free to use them if you want.

Adolin is a fashion design minor (dalinar is very disappointed) and a physical sciences major. He also does wrestling on the side.

kaladin starts as a med student and is the soccer captain (the team is bridge 4) his dad really wants him to become a doctor but he drops his medical major and goes into psychology instead.

Shallan is a natural science major with a minor in art.

Jasnah is a history teacher and takes shallen under her wing (she argues with hoid (the drama teacher) about who shallans fav is)

Dalinar became headmaster after caliber died and started a scandal when he started dating the engineering teacher Navani

Rlain is in the soccer team and transferred from the rival school. He gets shit about it sometimes.

Renarin wanted to do wrestling with adolin but couldent due to epilepsy and bad eyes so he accepted it and is a math major.

The various Spren are all younger siblings. Maya suffered a traumatic brain injury as a child and is nonverbal. Adolin will quite literally fight anyone who talks bad about her.

The original plot was gonna be shallen is a year younger that the others and falls in love with kaladin and adolin who are in an established relationship. It would be from her point of view and stuff but feel free to do whatever you want with this. Please tag me in anything you cr we are I want to see!
