That's Right#lackadaisy#WHICH i have been reading since at least '07 when i was thirteen my god b/c this animation is based on the ongoing webcomic#like does its influence show up Directly in some Discrete way i can point to in my art? not very easily probably. And Yet.#the inspiration....i wasn't able to be Regularly Only for at least another year / art done Nonprofessionally Online was novel to me#like wow ppl can make & post fanart of w/e they love huh....didn't know webcomics were a thing & i never really read that many since but.#good god the quality of Lackadaisy at its onset is like this is superb?? this person putting in all their talent and effort???#and Then you get years & years more art and i don't even know what superlatives to throw out abt its quality as it evolves. obsessed w/it..#if i see a new lackadaisy comic page i Will be acting out. obviously this animation is a delight & also stunning. and fascinating to also#juxtapose as a Translation / Interpretation of the comic in a different medium & standalone snippet of Story#and that we're not even quite there in the comic timeline; Taking Notes abt character info we get distilledly here....genuinely love like#take it back to '07 i'm like oh boy can't wait for the dream team to assemble. then a decade later when it did? Oh Boy. that is payoff lol#namely hooray for stitches and mudbug at the field office for every passing gangster. killing one marigold associate but not the other#which seems like a promising start to shootouts w/the other dream team triumvirate. i adore that in canon so far mordecai freckle & rocky#have met but only over a nice brunch. re: all intentions anyways. anyways i'm like Gifs Must Be Made while i'm also so riled afresh abt the#comic that i've been sooo hype for for over fifteen yrs now babeyyy Deservedly. i've done a couple of rereads & ought to do another....#For Interest it'd probably take a few sittings to catch up from the start but there is much to be engaged over....this ongoing story that's#historical fiction prohibition bootlegging cats with plenty of focus on characters & several Mysteries. which i'm better at parsing now lol#like one of the more recent rereads like Oh Of Course x (probably) accidentally killed his y & z took the fall & that's a binding secret...#Not [oh of course] abt the circumstances surrounding a's death & how b & c were involved. nor the ''what's marigold's damage'' mystery#which is great. love to not know things. love that we can readily follow all the emergent drama everyone's wading in nowadays. hell yeah#anyways admire my organized approach to gifs here. four shots each Expressions Atmosphere Action Groupshots#sure might've muddled through gifmaking for this anyways but fr being a huge lackadaisy comic enjoyer for now most of my life helps#and its very Overall Inspiration like. just really getting the [you can really just draw stuff out here] going. fr the art's detail & skill#and that enrichment like i'm gonna have a great time following this. I think on this fine Saturday afternoon it's a good opportunity to take a breather and remember that there are really no ethical paparazzi pictures. Every single one is inherently exploitative.
Just because photos were taken on a movie set, when someone is 'working,' does not make the practice any less invasive and creepy. Imagine just going about your day, doing your job and having some weirdo snapping pictures of you to sell without your consent for others to endlessly repost online.
There are thousands of pictures of your favourite actor online already. Plenty taken with his knowledge and consent. I'd really like to see more of them on my dash, rather than the creeper shots.
And don't get me started how disseminating these pictures directly leads to people going to said sets. What starts off as admiring how good someone looks has real world implications.
No, hanging around a movie set and disrupting people doing their jobs is not harmless fun or a way to show your appreciation.
If you hang around a movie set, you are a stalker.
Don't tell me that it's okay to take your online admiration for someone offline. You may admire him but he does not, and will never, personally know you. He will never be your friend/boyfriend/daddy. He is a stranger.
The only way meeting your favourite actor is going to happen is at a convention or maaaaaybe a movie premiere if you're incredibly fortunate. You know, places they appear specifically to meet fans (or not in the case of premieres, where the purpose is to promote a movie. Which is also completely understandable if actors don't stop. You are not owed an interaction).
Of course, you cannot help it if you randomly run into someone you admire in the wild. Even then, consider that they probably won't be all too thrilled to be approached in public by a complete stranger. It's up to you to gauge the situation, but remember there is a person at the heart of all of this.
Boundaries and respect are a kindness which deserves to be extended to each and every human being regardless of their looks/talent/fame/wealth.
Fandoms blur those lines a little too often for my liking and I think just scrutinising what you're interacting with, or what behaviour you could be possibly falling down that slippery slope towards is nice to do every once in a while.
I mean no malice with this post and it is not directed at anyone in particular. It's something I cannot help but feel strongly about because I've seen this destructive cycle time and again in fandoms over the years. It's not healthy and it makes us all a little bit more disconnected from our humanity for it...

My fav thing about TAZ is that any aspect out of context sounds fucking bonkers.
Like, in the balance finale there's a scene in which Garfield (who is very specifically never described visually bc most people imagine him as like. The Lasagna Cat. Who in this universe is the most powerful warlock in the realm and also has a hobby of cloning people, which is great for the one character that got forced into haunting a mannequin) is summoned by an alien spaceship that runs on the power of friendship so he could beat up some flashing balls. In D&D.
And that was just. Such a normal scene in the narrative. No one blinked an eye. I would like to bow down to Griffins clear unmatched talent for making me feel such big emotions over ridiculous shit like a goddamned umbrella or a regular ass pair of jeans or the idea of a taco recipe.

Kakashi not using his most of his 1000 copy-nin jutsu ever is definitely because a) thinking of new jutsu is hard :( and b) drawing new jutsu is also hard :( however it's funny to imagine it as a commentary on ninjutsu itself. Yeah he knows a ton of jutsu but they all do roughly the same thing. "This one hits someone with—" yeah yeah move along. If it's not a bloodline jutsu it's probably garbage. All the people he stole from are dead for a reason. Actually he took a look at all of your jutsu and his favourite one is the finisher he invented when he was ten <3

going to be singing in our school's talent showcase tomorrow!! i'm so so excited, i chose the best song to sing as my final tribute to the school

who are the two boys in your pfp?
Hoo boy!
They're Sergey Razumovsky (the redhead) and Oleg Volkov (the brunette), the two antagonists of the Russian comics by Bubble called Major Grom - they're also two of the protagonists in an on-going comic called Plague Doctor. They also play a big role in the movie "Major Doctor: Plague Doctor", and at the end of May there's gonna be another movie where they play a big role called "The Game", both are inspired by the comics but aren't a direct 1:1 reenactment of them .
Sergey is a very rich IT guy/CEO of the biggest Russian social media called Vmeste.
He also happened to be a vigilante serial killer called Plague Doctor which targeted specifically powerful bad people who do evil without repercussions (corrupt rich people and their entitled kids), and Oleg is his childhood friend who ended up as mercenary who can do anything for his friend from getting him out of prison to helping him take brutal revenge on the cop that got him in prison to begin with.
If you're interested in them I recommend watching the movie first, both of the interpretations of the characters are interesting albeit pretty different in some ways, but the movie is easier to access than the comics (it was on Netflix at some point, I'm not sure if it still is though). Also, the movie is just written better as a story and is also more politically self aware, like you shouldn't expect any criticism of the police in the first arcs of the comics/Sergey's queercoding originally came from a bigoted place. It gets so much better as other writers get involved though, nowadays pretty much everyone who's involved with the comics is either queer or an ally, it's not really out there for obvious reasons, but if you know what to look out for you'll notice many interesting details both in the later comics and the movie. Pretty much everyone agrees that they're gay.
If you're 18+ and have any more questions I can give you an invite to a discord server about the comics and the movies (I'm logged out of discord so I can't rn so send another ask), it has some of the coolest people I've met in fandom period, sadly I'm not sure if you can figure out the website without help like that if you do decide to read them, it's a whole puzzle to do that

Now this fic has a special place in my heart. It's by @arecaceae175 and reading it is the most seen I've ever been. I love Wild in this fic. And I do see myself in him. And its just an amazing feeling to be able to read something where there's a perfectly capable hero who is kinda like me.
It's a fic I go and read over and over again, it's a fic that I read on days when I feel awful and it cheers me up. It brings a smile to my face every time and I just love it so much.

#they are descended from many many iconic and talented magic guys#but doesnt have an ounce of magical ability thenselves#so im playing around w names that kind of play w that#possibke ones i have are twist. quirk. defiance. of like they were expecting one thing and got the opposite#i am also considering absence. i considered legacy but i dont think theyd choose that for themself#farewell. dismay. i considered ward in the sense of like. magical ward to block other magic#but i dont think its quite right
