✘ important bio aspects.

as you all know, i write super long and complicated bios, so i’ll be dropping some key points here!!

she was born in germany on an air force base (her father is a pilot in the air force) but only spent the first year of her life there before her family moved to san antonio.

being back stateside made it easier for the family to visit malia’s aunt and uncle in lake wisteria for summers and holidays.

before malia started high school, her father received orders to go to japan for 5 years, so her parents shipped her and her older brother off to lake wisteria to live with their aunt and uncle to finish out high school

malia is very very smart, like graduated top of the class and was class president smart. let’s be real, she thrived in lake wisteria. best four years of her life!

she got into trinity college in dublin where she studied history. this is also where she met her ex fiance, but more on that later!!!

so just like in high school, malia thrived at trinity. she received a scholarship from the history department and was on track to take an assistant professor position at the college once she finished her dissertation.

but all of her future plans changed all thanks to a galway boy named thomas callahan. they met during their semester and instantly fell in love. the relationship was all kisses and sweet words, but things wouldn’t be good for long.

thomas was bipolar and most of the time, he was unmedicated, which caused him to experience these extreme manic episodes fueled with anger. about a year into their relationship, thomas hit her. malia played it off as a dancing injury, thinking it would be a one time thing, but it kept happening the longer they stayed together.

during their third year, thomas proposed and malia was too scared to say anything except yes. and for a while, the engagement brightened things for the relationship. there was less abuse and more of the way things were at the beginning.

things came unraveling for malia on her twenty second birthday. thomas never showed up to the pub to celebrate with the rest of their friends, leaving malia a sobbing, weary-eyed mess. in the following days, she would learn that thomas had cheated on her.

in a bit of a daze, malia hurried back home to lake wisteria, the life she had made for herself in ireland a distant past. now, she’s working to take over as town historian while also doubling as a dance teacher as the local studio.
