a couple rib eyes, a new york, and some taters
reverse sear - coolish oven for a bit and then a quick finish in the fireplace. potatoes were nuked and then similarly finished for leathery exterior

Steak & Potatoes
I like steak but I don’t eat it often. I’m proud to announce that I now have a baby cast iron pan just for steak!
Ta-daaaaaa~ My 1st time using it. My brother has a large, family-sized one. I don’t know the diameter, but it’s big. Mine is 8inches. Perfect for an individual steak. The sound it makes is soooo diff than a regular pan. It was a little scary bcos so much smoke appeared when I loaded the steak onto the heated pan, like whhhhhooooosh. But the smoke dissipates quickly & it becomes just a regular pan again haha
Here was my dinner, all plated & everything. I over-cooked the steak a little. But I’m new with the cast iron so now I know for next time. The heat stays around for a long time & I think my mistake was when I left the steak there (after turning off heat) & I started plating my potatoes & the sauce. So I won’t do that next time.
Anyway, satisfied with my dinner :D
