Hello! I was wondering how you came up with all the last names for the characters in your AUs! (besides the characters who have canon ones of course) I noticed Kumatora's is a reference to Osohe in the games but was there any specific inspiration for the others?
Ness Kimura: "Takuya" is one of Ness' alt name options in Mother 2. Whether this is an homage to Takuya Kimura the famous baseball player, or Takyua Kimura the famous actor, is uncertain as far as i know. Either way, the last name Kimura fits like a glove.
Poo Rana: No elaborate reference here. I made Poo Nepali in Intermission AU, and researched some common Nepali surnames to try n' find one that sounded nice for him. "Rana" is a name that simply means "king." It shares the same meaning in India, too - sorta fitting for Dalaam's hodge-podge of cultural inspirations.
Lucas & Claus Westwood: A down-to-earth soundin' name that's actually a big joke. Flint Westwood is a spin on Clint Eastwood.
Duster & Wess Huntington: In some stories and plays, Robin Hood's "true" name is "Robert Huntingdon," and he's associated with the title "Earl of Huntingdon." Noble thief, n' all that.

what did you think of steph's novel?
Better than I thought it was gonna be! I honestly didn’t know what to expect, I just knew I was a excited to see more of Steph and learn about her time before Haven.
I did enjoy getting to know Izzy more and I do feel bad for her, even though you can see why they just couldn’t work out. Also enjoyed meeting Steph’s other nerdy friends. They all felt like they fit in with the LIS world. Wish we got to see them mentioned more
Also, loved that Katy Bentz did the entire audiobook for it as well. 8 more hours of Stephs voice? Yes please

I could make it easy and just say "dragon" but I'll take a better crack at it
My gender is like.. clover or dandelions. Ever present, unassuming, tenacious, pretty, and special if you pay attention. It's also like coffee! It has the same base roast but I can mix whatever I want into it daily depending on how I want others to perceive me. It's something that doesn't change and something I'm confident in and something that feels like home.

I've managed to plot You're the Most in a way that forces the characters to deal with some of my more deep-seated traumas. WHY DO I ALWAYS DO THIS?? I'm excited as ever about it, but I want to be careful not to get too bogged down in the angsty stuff.
🛏 Is there a new trope you'd like to write this year?
This isn't exactly a trope (although there are several tropes that I'm thinking of in this vein), but I'd like to try my hand at more action and horror stuff. I've got some thoughts around cults, burned secret agents, and a sort of meta supernatural serial-killer battle royale thingie. But also I want these all to be funny. And hell, maybe romantic too.

Motivation. I am a very externalistic person, I cannot gather the motivation to do anything unless it is explicitly for another person. So, writing this book for myself has been... hard to say the least 😅
Ice: What do you always get stuck on when writing?
I get stuck on the feeling. I'm sure you've noticed just how much you can feel my scenes, and I personally need that in order to understand what's going on. So if I'm writing and I can feel what's going on, I get stuck.
Spirit: What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received on your writing?
I already answered this one, but I'll go ahead and say it again because I just fucking love it so much. I value every compliment I've ever gotten and it's hard to choose just one for the best, but if I had to choose it'd be "you are such an expert at creating the most fucked up brand of guy it's great"
