thinking again about how fucked up age is in the Sonic universe. like for how notoriously shipping-focused the fandom is, there's about seven characters IN THE WHOLE MAINLINE CANON who are over 18

two of them are villains. one of them being the main antagonist, and the other being the main antagonist's dead grandfather (we do not know what the deal is with the main antagonist's regular father)

three of them are gods (depending on how you wanna look at it, there's an additional two gods who are either 10 years old or 210. they are also both technically the same entity)

one of them is another character's literal mom, and is so nebulous as to basically just be a backstory tidbit

and one of them is a bumbling comedy detective. his co-detectives are 16 and 6, respectively. he is only the second most responsible character in the detective agency.

for bonus points, guess which ones are already implied to be dating in canon :)
