Heyy, eruri shipper here! Was wondering what you dislike about eruri shippers because I'd hate to ruin a ship for someone 😣😣 I'm sorry we made you feel that way!

Well, first thing is that i had a pretty bad experience with them shoving the ship down everyone's throat (i guess every shipper is guilty of it to some extent) and i really like "shipping in peace" without having to constantly validate why my ship is as good as theirs and why the chances of it being canon is the same as theirs.

Other than that i guess i simply interpret the bond and their relationship differently and i just find most content either heavily mischaracterized or downright cringy of course i can say the same about my OTP, but to a lesser extent.

I also don't like how sexualized and fetishized this ship is by some louder fans. When i tried to read some fanfics when i was still getting to know this ship,most of what i found was lots of ones about sex and dom/sub stuff which i heavily dislike.

I also feel a big distaste to the fact how shippers of any gay ship apply dom/sub labels to their actual personalities instead of just being roles in bed. Levi is not a "simp" for Erwin, nor is he submissive by nature. Isayama clearly stated they have Equal relationship.

I do like the idea of them being in a loving relationship somewhere in an AU where Erwin has not given his whole life to his dream and actually pays attention to people around him and some fan art of them is absolutely gorgeous and makes my heart melt (tjkn from pixiv is a big favorite of mine!) but i just don't like how the fandom goes about it all.

Maybe it's just my own problem idk. I just have a specific interpretation of their bond and it's hard for me to get into the fandom one and these are the things i noticed that bother me the most.
