i’ve realized that tumblr has absolutely zero clue about many of my bsd AUs and I have to change this, so you’re getting a post about one of my favorite ones
Port Mafia Kenji/Defenestration AU
(a bit of a spoiler warning for the cannibalism arc? not much of the actual plot of it is said though)
- Kenji joined the Port Mafia at ten years old, right around when Dazai left.
- Kenji’s an Akutagawa. He wasn’t born into the Akutagawas, but at a young age he did manage to stumble across Gin and Akutagawa and he just stuck with them after that.
- One of the most important factors to this AU was he was around with the Akutagawas when Dazai mentored his older brother. Which. was. yeah you know how badly that went
- Due to these events, Kenji has a burning hatred for Dazai (which made Chuuya immediately gain a liking to the kid)
- His mentor is Chuuya and they get along pretty well. He also maintains a good relationship with his two siblings and likes telling Akutagawa how cool he is and how much Kenji wants to be like him. Supportive little brother!! Yeahh!!
- Since Kenji is raised in the Port Mafia at a young age, he is very violent. Still cheery of course but, more terrifying and violent.
- Kenji knows assassination tricks since he sat in on Gin’s training sessions, and yeah it did contribute to his violent nature and numbness to violence and dead bodies.
- Kyouka stays in the Port Mafia in this AU due to the fact she reminds Akutagawa of his little brother and he cannot hurt her without thinking of his little brother. Also yes Kenji technically adopted her as his sister. that contributed too.
- Since the Agency is minus two members in this AU (both Kenji and Kyouka being in the Port Mafia), eventually Poe and Lucy join the Agency, mainly to give it more equal fighting grounds but also because why not
- Kenji has black hair in this AU. Not naturally black hair, but it’s dyed because he likes looking like his siblings. He also wears a vest in this AU
- He’s sadly lost his original family motto so he made one up instead: "If someone annoys you, kill em!"
- At one point, Dazai takes Kenji along for a mission and Kenji has his first encounter with Fyodor. Kenji gets along with Fyodor because he ‘has a cool hat’ which terrifies Dazai severely, Fyodor takes note of this and purposely also gets along with Kenji to terrify Dazai. Yeah this AU contains a lot of dazai bullying but it’s fine
- In the Cannibalism Arc, while the Agency and Port Mafia are fighting, Kenji and Poe encounter each other. Instead of a dramatic fight, it turns into Kenji noticing Karl and taking a liking to the raccoon. As war breaks out around them they silently talk about raccoons, Poe being nervous about a small child touching Karl but he seems fine enough

BSD CHAPTER 107 RAMBLINGS UNDER CUT!! SPOILERS!!
okay so ive been hoping since last chapter for sigma to pull a gun on fyodor but i didn't think we were actually gonna get that in this chapter and i didnt think that hed actually shoot him!! i actually thought we wouldnt get prison arc chapters for a while but im not complaining hehe
and for chuuya!! either he's still a vampire or he's not. likely he's not based on the last few chapters but if he is i imagine that he'd bite dazai and dazai's nullification ability will turn him back into a human
(also maybe atsushi and sigma parallels with both of them wondering why 'their person' saved them? maybe? idk actually but yk)
and for the note-- its either fyodor or kolya. if its kolya that both worries and intrigues me because we havent seen him in forever. is the note a joke? is he in danger? but if its our beloved fedya then why would he write something like that? likely its kolya but just keeping options open, yk
im going to explode im so happy im so excited for next chapter and hopefully learning about fedya's ability ashdkdgjssb

anyway- I can't keep quiet, I have to be annoying lol, sorry anyway here's some of my thoughts on the new BSD episode- this obvs contains spoilers & none of this will be in order cuz I have no concept of time- put under a break cuz spoilers and it's way longer than I though it'd be,,,
but man,,, Man,,, am I the only one a little disappointed by it being yet another 'Dazai planned it all along' type plot aksdhajh-
chuuya faking vampirism too,, woow ,, who ever would have seen this coming (both Asagiri and Chuuya's va were like 'oh yea Chuuya's important u really see skk's bond in this upcoming season' obvs this doesn't make sense if chuuya actually killed him so we all low-key knew,,,) - maybe chuuya deserved to shoot Dazai,, just a lil bit,,, as a treat,,,
Fyolai's entire thing was ?? so good to me actually,,, I quite liked it pfft- maybe Fyodor deserved to explode (I say this affectionately)- Nikolai's reactions too and the framing of showing only his hidden eye when he's like 'happy' / playing a character but then turning so u only see his scared eye when he's geuininely concerned is so fucking good,,, him changing his mind abt how he felt abt it too,,,
also fyodor's last words being Jesus's when he was crucified ?? foreshadowing or nah?? will he come back?? hmmmm :thank:

This finale felt kinda unreal. This arc has been going on for so long and it's finally over"ish". The ending was actually wild and like we still don't know A LOT of things (Sigma my beloved I know you are okay).
Coming from someone who hates Fukuchi, his conversation with Fukuzawa was great and that death scene *chef's kiss* .
Dazai and Chuuya can't help but slay every time but like the concept that Chuuya was faking doing all those goofy ass vampire sounds is the funniest thing bsd has ever done actually.
Rewatching the anime for this season has made me so emotional for no reason and I'm again so invested in these characters, feels so great hehe. I'll try and read the light novels if I can find them anywhere because I need more of these sillies.

Not that anyone noticed, but Ive been gone for a while.
I've returned to say that after chapter 109 dropped it ruined the rest of my holiday, and i cried any time i remembered it existed, because Dazai my beloved. Denial was my bestie man.
I'm also sorry to my best friends who had to put up with my whining, ranting, denial and crying every day till episode 11 dropped. Ily♡♡
