Only Lenore would ‘we’re just very good friends :)’ herself in her own damn marriage proposal

So this is why Annabel was so surprised when Lenore was mad at her for "playing games"

I hope/suspect in life Lenore was the darker one of the two compared to how they are in the comic now - she was out here burning houses and faking her death and creating an identity no wonder Annabel misses her (also find it interesting how in life Annabel seemed to be the nicer/more positive one who got Lenore to open up compared to the reverse in death)

The more we see of Lenore's backstory, the more Annabel Lee's behavior makes sense.

Lenore burned a house down to be with Annabel Lee, possibly killing dozens in the process, disguised herself as a man, and possibly more that we haven't seen.

...She did bring a gun to her wedding, so, I'm assuming she had to do something to be like, "Oh, yeah, this revolver goes great with my suit," or, she just carries it around everywhere just in case. Both are interesting options.

Remember: Annabel Lee remembers the end of their lives, not the beginning. She remembers the Lenore that risked everything for Annabel Lee — she expected to get that very same person in Nevermore, but for better or for worse, that is not the Lenore that came to her.

I'd be just as confused as Annabel Lee, honestly.

What's crazy is that I could've made the theory post about Theo being "The wild hunt" months earlier than I did based on his scruffy hair and stag appearance alone ... and just...didn't. And now, he has lightning coming out the antlers and hunting dogs following him??? Not to mention the name of the creature.

Not one person could convince me it's not Theo unless they wrote the story itself.

So, we decided to make fanart of fanworks. Yeah, it's meta and chaotic, but that kinda feels right. If y'all like this we may do more in the future. Okay a little though I had. What If the tree NEVER fell on Theo and lenore or lenore never left in the first place when it was poring rain and what if annabel never left lenore to go be a house wife??

They'd be miserable.

Lenore would have a suitor she does not love. She'd be trapped in a heartless marriage, as miserable as Thaddeus and Lucille (who have never smiled, as we've seen). Maybe she'd have a child or two.

She'd watch Theo be a bachelor who revels in the love of music. He might marry someday, too, but with more freedoms than Lenore can ever have in her own hands.

She would be able to walk, but never run away. She'd be just as trapped as she was in that attic. Only now, she'd be without Annabel Lee.

If Annabel Lee never left Lenore behind, maybe she would've been declared mad, too. There's only so long you can be friends with a "mad" spinster before people point the finger at you, too. It'd surely damage her reputation.

My little White Raven heart wonders if they would realize that they loved each other in that time. Annabel Lee would have, probably, if she couldn't leave Lenore. There's really only one thing that can prevent you from leaving someone behind when you're Annabel Lee, and that's love.

Maybe they would've ran away together, living as "Leo" and Annabel Lee in some town far away from upstate New York.
