So I’m romancing Meg on this playthrough of Hades, and I can’t help but notice how the fandom really poorly contextualizes their romance in it’s collective headspace.

Like, all the art and works for Zagreus and Meg have all been really superficial in regards to them and stuff. Like, It’s all about how Meg is a big strong wahmen and Zagreus gets pegged (and I mean, yeah, he does). But, like, there’s a genuinely compelling romance here?

Like, the shared history, the centuries of fulfilling a role, learning to grow and move beyond what they’re expected to be and what they expect of each other. Learning to see from the other’s point of view and overcoming all the things we’ve done to each other. Growing a friendship in the ashes of an old relationship and blossoming into something romantic again. Giving each other and yourself another chance.

It’s- it’s good shit, you know?

So I know in actual myth that Zagreus is considered the god of Rebirth due to how Dionysus came to be, and some say game Zag may be the god of Blood.

Personally, I think he'd be the god of Reuinions.

Reuniting with his mom. Reuniting with Than and Meg Reuniting his parents. Reuniting Orpheus and Eurydice Reuniting Achilles and Patroclus Reuniting all of his family

And there's no better reunion than death, where you can spend eternity with those you had loved in life. So there's that connection, too.

There's also him being very much more considerate and caring than most gods. Still has his flaws, but he does care.

Kind of links with In The Blood, too, especially if we still consider he'd be a god of blood. Like the line "Home is not where you live, but who cares when you're gone, they'll follow you to the beyond."

So I'm putting my foot down on the idea that Zagreus could be a god of Reunions. And we shall see if that can come into affect in Hades 2

Anyone else think, the superhero squad was MUCH more impactful when it was just these five?

The originals, and still the best. Look at them… they’re properly color-coded and everything!

With around twenty members now, they may SEEM cool when put together in that final S5 shot, but how many are actually going to be given anything to do, apart from sell plastic toys made in Hong Kong?

My guess is: the fact they’ve all been given their miraculous now is irrelevant. The focus will still be Ladybug (and Chat Noir, if he’s lucky) with the others as ‘hangers-on’ who’ll be lucky to get a cameo once a season.

After all, Ladybug is SSOOOO all-powerful and all-conquering, she could pretty much handle the entire mission by herself, right? The other heroes seem almost redundant, in both their powers and presence. It almost makes me want to cheer on Lila, who’s certainly the underdog now…

The show should clearly be ending here, with maybe the movie clearing the way for a fresh start… clear of all the sub-par baggage that Thomas Astruc brought to the table.

But of course it won’t, because there’s still money to be made from this woebegone franchise. I mean, who cares how repetitive, boring, certifiably insane and morally questionable the writing is, as long as we get THAT KISS.

…Nah, not worth it.
