Something that breaks my heart about Gwen is why she acted like she did in the first movie.

Think about it- In Into the Spider Verse she seemed so confident and put-together, but in Across the Spider Verse, she’s SO different than she was in the previous film. We actually get to see the real her. We get to see her true feelings; about Peter, about her dad, about everything. Gwen’s whole “cool girl” persona in ITSV, was all just a mask to hide her pain, and how she really sees herself. Damn man.

RANDOM ASS HEADCANONS GO!!

Hobie is British-Jamaican. He lived there from 2-4

Pavitr is left-handed

Hobie and Gwen don't have the same shoe size. Hobie just doesn't throw shit out. He much prefers to donate it.

He was only teasing Gwen at the moment. He'd asked her if she wanted the shoes. She said no, but changed her mind after a bit and took them. Hence the 'Are those my chucks 😏'

Like his mask and hair, Hobie can shove anything in any closet and it'll fit. Opening his closet the wrong way causes an avalanche.

Miles is painfully Lactose Intolerant. Meanwhile Pavi ALWAYS makes chai extra milky.

Gayatri has an older brother and a little sister.

Hobie is an orphan who escaped the foster system with his adopted sister Riri - they were separated while homeless for a year or so, in which Hobie met Karl aka Captain Anarchy.

Later him and Riri united.

Hobie has multiple tattoos ranging from stick and poke to full pieces.

Hobie reads A LOT. Like many other Spider-people, he's also really really good at photography.

Much of his photos are exposé pics of politicians.

Gwen is vegetarian.

Miguel actually needs glasses, but he wears contacts instead.

This is because all the other Spider-people make fun of him - y'know since they all have perfect eyesight after the Spider-bites

Hobie has a small group of groupies on campus. He treats them very kindly, gets them into his shows for free, and in turn they 'borrow' stuff from HQ for him.

Often giving him parts, or 'breaking' their watch and asking for a replacement - and giving Hobie the 'broken' one.

Miguel is Pavitrs mentor. Pavitr enjoys this cause Miguel's techniques keep him buff but not TOO buff.

Jess is also Hobie's mentor. They met through Jess. Gwen felt more comfortable staying with Hobie, though Jess does have a bedroom set for her.

Pavitr has a dog. It's an x-street dog that got hurt. It's a lot better now, and as happy-go-lucky as Pavitr.

Ganke is a BEAST at Overwatch and APEX legends.

Miles is a BEAST at 2k NBA

i feel like when they first met pavitr dropped his whole speech like 'being spiderman is so easy. i love my life!! i look awesome and i am awesome!!!!!!!!!' and hobie was like 'sick, man. you should always have confidence in yourself. the establishment encourages self hatred with unrealistic standards to push self improvement products and fund the capital.' and pavitr is like ':D yeah man!!!' having zero idea what he just said.

Wanna hear some heartbreaking shit?? I GOTCHU

1. Gabriella (most likely) knew Peter.

We see from Miguel's simulation that Peter was there when she died. We can see him helping civilians.

And after Gabbie dies, he's behind Miguel as well.

So not only was he there to see her die, but Gabbie and Peter most likely knew each other through Miguel. If we can believe that, it makes me wonder if she'd met Jess too.

Imagine Miguel being so delighted to introduce his daughter to his friends 😭😭

We have no frame of reference when Gabbie died, or how recently. It's not a stretch to believe that Gabbie could have still been alive after Mayday's birth - Gabbie might have even held Mayday herself.

Jess is very far along in her pregnancy too. If Gabbie died less than 9 months ago, maybe she even rubbed Jess' belly 😥

2. Gabbie knew she was dying.

Before her death we're shown shots of people already depixelating even around Miguel.

We don't really know how long it takes a universe to collapse and it seems to happen fairly quickly.

Despite that, Gabbie isn't one is the first to go. Already seeing the destruction around her, Gabbie probably knew she was dying.

3. Gabbie died knowing her dad was Spider-Man.

In his last moments with her, Miguel is wearing is suit already. Whether or not he hid his identity from her was a mystery, but in her final moments she knew her dad was a hero who wanted to save people.

But in that moment he couldn't save her.

4. The ATSV team hired a voice actor for Gabbie

- even though her only lines are her calling out for Miguel

I ain't even got nothing to add about this one why the hell would they do that 😭😭

Because Gabbie'e universe is gone, and her death was so sudden -

5. Miguel likely has nothing at all to remember her by.

I just wanted to add that last one in cause I think about it ALL the time. All Miguel has of her is videos and clips - many of which aren't even of him, but his double.

Her soccer trophies, stuffed animals, clothes, etc - anything tangible that Miguel could've kept is gone. Like she was erased from history. The only proof she ever lived are the videos.

Ain't that fucked up. That's super fucked up.
