One thing that I find myself appreciating about solavellan is how Solas doesn’t coddle Lavellan at all. He offers help and guidance, of course, but he doesn’t treat her like a dumb baby who is incapable of higher thinking or can’t understand consequences.

If Lavellan does fucks up it’s not met with a patronizing, infantilizing, chauvinistic attitude. He’s very much like, “hey wtf you’re smarter than this get it together”.

I love solavellan so much because it’s a dynamic that is naturally sprinkled with power imbalances (mortal x immortal, head of a world power x elven apostate, etc.) yet they truly treat each other as equals.

Their love is built on a foundation of deep respect for one another and that means so much to me.

For one, it comes out a bottle. For two, I mess up, I get burned. For three? Bottle, little burned, no demons. So there.

(I am fully aware that tempests smash their bottles, preferably far away from their faces, but I wanted a badass shot, sue me)

I can’t believe I’ve finally finished my Hierophant embroidery!!! This was definitely the most ambitious of my Dragon Age embroidery projects so far–not only because it’s larger, but I also had more up-front work translating the tarot style to the stained glass style of art used elsewhere in Inquisition. It’s hard to catch on camera, but the leaves are done in metallic thread (lighter gold) and sparkly thread (orange toned) to give the piece some shimmer.

I do have designs I sketched out back in November for the other two Solas cards, but I’m going to take a break for some projects requiring less careful satin stitch work first 😅

the other day it was the spring equinox here which means it's now spring. next season, Summer 2024, is when Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be "fully revealed" ☀️🏖️🌊

I mean, if Lavellan, Mythal or the rest of the evanuris don't get to Solas first, Cassandra will definitely be the one to knock him out, using her shield on his head
