“You see, I want a lot. Maybe I want it all: the darkness of each endless fall, the shimmering light of each ascent.”

Krampus is afoot...
He came upon the Eve of Winter's Veil as he always has before.
A creature hooved and horned stood outside your door.
His teeth were sharp as knives, his claws were all covered in gore,
The chains that once bound him did so no more.
From door to door he went, seeking those who misbehaved.
Bad boys and girls who would not listen and carelessly disobeyed.
I tried to tell you child, I warned you every year
Of the evil that would come for you and what you had to fear.
And now the demon has taken you and thrown you in his basket.
This Veil I'll not open gifts but instead lower an empty casket.
Krampus stole you from your bed and from your flesh he's made a feast.
Perhaps my next child will be so much wiser and learn to fear the beast.
