This is how Democrats need to talk about the “good economy”.

WARREN: “I am in this fight because I believe that we can make our government, our economy, our country work. Not just for those at the top, but for everyone...I will fight for you as hard as I fight for my own family.”

CASTRO: “Like many of you I know the promise of America. My grandmother came here as an immigrant from Mexico...just two generations later, one of her grandsons is serving in Congress & the other is running for President of the United States.”

BOOKER: “I've taken on bullies and beat them...it's time we win this election, and the way I'll govern in showing the best of who we are because that's what this country needs.”

Those are the three I was impressed with tonight.

I kinda hate watching Democratic debates? Because it’s always an assortment of mostly-reasonable adults talking about actual issues, and you know whoever ends up winning the primary is going to have to go up against a froth-mouthed blackhole of a human being who wants to end all life on the planet.

And the newscasters will pretend it’s somehow a normal, equal fight.
