Chapter 21- It Takes Two To Tango
Tumblr media
It felt domestic. You woke up with your body nestled against Chris’s, his gentle snores a soothing melody. The beautiful Seoul sunshine streamed through the window, casting a warm, soft glow over your bed. Last night was a whirlwind of passion, heartfelt confessions, and arguments. You weren't sure where things stood with Seungmin or the rest of the boys, but right now, snuggled up with Chris, none of that seemed to matter.
You wanted to wake up and surprise him with breakfast or coffee, something sweet and thoughtful to show that everything was forgiven from last night. But you couldn't bring yourself to leave his side. This moment was too precious, too perfect to break. You took a moment to admire his features—his strong jawline, the gentle slope of his nose, the way his eyelids twitched softly from his dreams. It all felt too perfect as if the world might jolt you awake from this beautiful dream at any moment. Summoning your energy, you carefully pulled yourself away from him and tiptoed to the kitchen.
With a quiet hum, you put the kettle on and prepared two cups of coffee. You rummaged through the bags of food, hoping to find something that could pass for breakfast. Eggs, vegetables, milk… an omelette could work. The only problem was that your culinary skills were practically nonexistent. With work keeping you busy, your meals usually come from a box with clear instructions. If you ever enjoyed a home-cooked meal, it was because your best friend had come over and insisted on cooking for you amidst piles of paperwork.
Deciding to give it a go, you grabbed a bowl and some spices. How hard could fry a giant flat egg with some vegetables be to fry? As it turned out, very hard. The omelette didn't quite cooperate, becoming a scrambled mess with bits of vegetables awkwardly mixed in. Were the eggs supposed to turn that black? Shit. You forgot to oil the pan; the smell of burnt eggs and fresh coffee filled the space.
“Cooking isn’t one of your strongest qualities,” Chan's voice came from behind you as you quickly tried to dispose of the burnt mess. “Let me help.” He chucked, walking over to the stove before cracking a few eggs into the pan. He looked so perfect, even in the morning: bedhead, tired eyes, and that beautiful smile that made your heart swell.
“I managed the coffee!” you announced proudly, presenting one of the mugs to Chris with a smile. He accepted it graciously, clearly excited to caffeinate his body. The energy wasn’t the same as last night—awkward chuckles and silences filled the space between you. You both knew that, eventually, you’d have to talk about last night's confessions and Seungmin's outburst. But you didn’t want to disrupt Chris while he was cooking, so you perched yourself on the kitchen island, watching as he skillfully tossed vegetables into the pan. It already smelled much better than your attempt.
Sipping your coffee slowly, you embraced the awkward silence a little longer.
“Done,” Chris said, turning to you a few moments later with a smile as he presented the plate. His face mirrored the nervousness you felt inside.
“We should—” you both started simultaneously, then laughed.
“You first,” Chris encouraged.
“I think we should talk about last night…” you said softly, even though it was just you in the apartment. Chris nodded, walking over to the island where you were sitting.
“Did I come on too strong? I’m sorry, I just couldn’t hold it back anymore…” He started, rambling to mask his nervousness.
“No, no. God, no, that’s not what I was going to say at all!” you cut him off, taking his hand and pulling him closer. “I was going to say that it was nice, having you here with me. I was worried that you were going to take back what you said. You know, heat of the moment and all that?” You muttered, playing with his hand in your own.
“Take it back?” he questioned, his face confused as he gently lifted your chin to meet his eyes. “I would never. Why would you even think that?” he asked, his confusion unwavering.
“Well…” you cleared your throat. “You’re you, and I’m… me?” you said, looking at him with a knowing glance, hoping he’d understand. International superstar Bangchan and you, from a little western city, who had gotten swept up in all this drama.
“You’re so much more than you know,” he muttered before pressing his lips to yours. You wrapped your legs around his torso, pulling him closer to the counter. The passionate kiss sent goosebumps across your skin, and warmth spreading through your chest. Just as quickly as it started, he pulled away. “Eat your breakfast. We have comeback preparations today, so I need to get ready to head to the studio.”
You nodded, stealing one more kiss before he walked away. You turned your attention to the omelette, which tasted beautiful despite its humble appearance. You couldn't help but smile as you demolished the breakfast Chris had made.
At that moment, everything felt perfect—an ordinary yet extraordinary morning with the person who made your heart race and your soul feel at home.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stray Kids POV:
‘I’m going to make you regret this.’
The text replayed in Chris’s mind all morning. He knew he couldn’t tell you; it would only worry you and make you pull away from him. Your confession of feeling like you weren’t enough for him that morning had nearly shattered his heart. Of course, the message came from Seungmin. He hadn’t texted Chris all night, which was both a blessing and a curse. Either he would show up to practice today, or he wouldn’t. If he didn’t, it would be unfair to the rest of the group, especially with the comeback so close.
As he walked, Chris tried to push the thoughts aside and remembered your face as you slept, your soft snores, the way your lips felt this morning. The smile you gave when you saw him. He would go to war for that smile. As long as he was around, there wouldn’t be any more hurt coming your way—not if he could help it.
With that resolve, he entered the studio with a determined smile. All seven other members were already gathered on the floor, awaiting his arrival. The moment Chris stepped in, Seungmin’s eyes met his. The unspoken anger between them immediately heightened the tension in the room.
Chris felt his muscles tense, every fibre of his being ready for a confrontation. He couldn’t afford distractions, not now. He wouldn’t let Seungmin’s bitterness ruin their hard work in this comeback. And more importantly, he wouldn’t let it affect you.
He squared his shoulders, the leader mask slipping into place. “Alright, let’s get to work,” he said, his voice steady but edged with the simmering conflict. Seungmin’s glare intensified, but Chris didn’t back down. He couldn’t. For you, for the group, for the comeback—they had to keep moving forward, no matter what.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hyung,” Felix called over to Chris. “I don’t get this move. Can you just run through it again?” He attempted the movement; his brow furrowed in concentration.
“You’re so close!” Chris encouraged, stepping forward to help Felix adjust his posture. “Just move your arm a bit more rigid, yeah, like that. The rest should flow around it.” He demonstrated, and Felix repeated the move perfectly.
“Careful, Felix. He might be showing you wrong to steal the limelight for himself,” Seungmin called out, his tone dripping with sarcasm. The rest of the room rolled their eyes at his comment. Chris struggled to keep his composure. Focusing was becoming increasingly difficult when Seungmin kept making sly remarks and deliberately messing up practice.
“Have you got something to say, Seungmin?” Chris snapped, his patience worn thin by the hours of dancing and Seungmin’s constant needling. “You know she heard you, right? Calling her a quick fuck? It destroyed her. It took me an hour at her door just to convince her to let me in to talk. She was about to leave the country and go home!” His voice rose, and the rest of the group stopped, stunned by his outburst.
“She can’t leave,” Hyunjin muttered, his eyes wide with concern.
“The media would eat her alive,” Minho concurred, shaking his head.
Chris’s fists clenched at his sides, the frustration boiling over. “This isn’t just about us, Seungmin. This is about the group, the comeback, everything we’ve worked for. And it’s about her. She’s more than some stupid fling, and if you can’t see that, maybe you’re the one who doesn’t belong here.”
Seungmin’s face contorted with anger, but he didn’t respond immediately. The tension in the room was palpable, every member holding their breath, waiting to see what would happen next.
Chris took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure. “We need to be better than this. For ourselves, for our fans, and for her. If you can’t handle that, then step aside.”
“Be better for her?” He asked, a dark smile curving on his face. “Sure, Hyung. I can do that. I can make her the happiest woman alive, if that’s what you really want…” He pressed Chris further, looking for an ounce of a reaction.
“Touch a hair on her body and I’ll make sure it’s your last move.” Chris hissed through gritted teeth.
“Would you look at the time,” Seungmin said, looking at his imaginary watch. “Looks like I’ve plans to make.” He said, walking out of the studio, the door slamming behind him.
“It’s not worth it, Chris.” Changbin said, emotionally holding him back, with Han on the other side echoing his statement.
“She likes me.” Chris admitted to the rest of the group. “I slept at hers last night. I can’t lose her before I’ve even had her.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N POV:
Chris would be back any moment. You felt like a giggly schoolgirl waiting for her crush at the playground. He promised he’d be back after practice, and you’d watch some crappy TV together, definitely ordering food to avoid a repeat of this morning’s breakfast disaster. He had also made it clear that he wanted to take things slow with you, to wine and dine you, properly date you, and confess his feelings just like in the K-Dramas. He wanted to ask you to be his girlfriend, and most importantly, he didn’t want to rush into sex again. He wanted to show you how much he truly cared. It was sweet.
That didn’t stop you from putting on the sexiest underwear you could find beneath your pyjamas. A surprise if things did move in that direction, you guessed. Lost in your thoughts, the doorbell rang. He’s back already? That was quicker than you expected.
“Y/N, hi.” You opened the door and were greeted by Seungmin holding a dozen roses.
“Oh, um, Seungmin… hi,” you stammered, your voice timid as you stepped aside to let him in. “Chris isn’t here… weren’t you at practice?”
“I know he’s not here,” Seungmin said, a hint of mischief in his voice as he handed you the roses.
“I’m here for you.”
Your heart pounded in your chest, a mix of confusion and apprehension washing over you. “Why are you here?” you asked, clutching the roses, their sweet scent a stark contrast to the tension in the air.
“I wanted to talk to you, without Chris around,” Seungmin said, stepping closer.

In The Beginning…
“Minho…” You called timidly from the bedroom, the way you called for him was about the same volume as when someone would talk regularly to a friend. When you spoke it was nothing more than a mouse-like whisper, always scared of what would happen if you raised your voice a little too much. Your doting boyfriend came into the bedroom, his hair tousled and wet from his shower, his eyes always seeming to carry a seductive look, dark and hungry for you at all times. “M-Minho…” You spoke his name again, this time more nervous now that he was standing in front of you.
A chuckle built in his chest as he sauntered over to you, water wrinkled fingers that were warmer from the hot water he had been standing under, trailed across your cheek, one finger slipping under your chin to tilt your head up as he towered over you. “Mm? What do you need, darling? Are you hungry? Thirsty? I know that last night was quite… exerting for you…” He teased, and you felt your body heat up at the mention of the sinful activities you had taken part in the night before.
“Uhm… n-no…” You stammered, blinking a few times as you seemed to lose your train of thought constantly when he was standing so close to you, looking at you as if you were a delicious meal that he couldn’t wait to get his hands on. “We… We didn’t use protection and… Usually you’d get me a… a plan B pill and… I just was wondering if you had gone and… and gotten it by now?” You were always so nervous around him, still not quite sure what made him tick. One second he was happy, or at least he seemed happy, and then the next he was going through an outburst that had you locking yourself in the bathroom until he came to the door apologizing and giving you the same spiel that he would never do it again. You hated when things got like that, you tried to avoid getting him to that point at all costs.
“I decided you don’t need it anymore.” Minho spoke nonchalantly, as if he was the one who could make that decision for you. Your mouth opened to protest, and he stared at you, waiting for you to say something, anything that would give him a reason to lash out. It’s like he wanted a reason, he wanted to go off on you, like he enjoyed seeing you scared, enjoyed being the hypocritical hero when he comforted you after making you cry. “Think about how wonderful it would be, to have a part of me growing inside of you… you’d be mine, all mine. You’ll never leave me…” His hands moved down to your stomach, as if there was already something in there. “I’ll pick up tests in about 2 weeks, I want to be right here when you take them and read the results.”
The First Signs…
Sitting at the dining room table, the chicken still in your mouth after you had taken a bite, an awful sensation washed over you. A sort of sickness that you couldn’t fight back, and an urge to throw up that you couldn’t breathe your way through as you usually would. “Mm’scuse me…” You mumbled through the palm of your hand that was clasped over your mouth as you ran to the bathroom, slamming the door behind you, not even bothering to lock it as your body practically folded over the toilet.
“Darling…” Minhos soft cooing from the other side of the door had goosebumps forming on your skin. When he cracked the door open, you could see a rather excited smile beginning to spread across his face. “Are you alright?” The juxtaposition of his expression and his words made your head reel. He looked too happy for someone who had just watched their girlfriend throw up all of their dinner. You nodded your head in response, making sure the contents of your stomach were cleared out before taking a few steps to the sink and washing your face and then rinsing your mouth out with water. “I thought you loved that chicken… Hmm, I wonder why it would make you sick all of a sudden…”
He stepped into the bathroom fully now that you were done being ill, the nausea seeming to be completely gone now, as if it hadn’t been there at all. You knew exactly what he was insinuating, and while it might seem that way, you weren’t ready to accept that it could be what he was thinking, you didn’t want to accept it. “I think they just changed the frying oil or something…” You excused, dabbing at your lips with a bit of toilet paper before exiting the bathroom, Minho right in tow. You couldn’t be pregnant, that would make him all the possessive, all the more obsessive and overbearing. You wouldn’t be able to ever leave, not that you were able to do that now anyway, but it would be so much worse. You probably wouldn’t even be able to look at the windows without him lecturing you. No… pregnancy wasn’t an option for you.
As you stood at the sink, getting a glass of water from the tap to wash out the taste, Minho stood behind you, his hands placed gently on your stomach. It was the softest he had ever touched you, but you knew that it wasn’t exactly for you, it was for the little demon spawn that he assumed was inside of you. “Does my baby not like the fried chicken? Hmm? Whatever you want, daddy will get it for you… As long as your mommy tells me.” How could he sound so sweet? It was gag inducing, how he pretended to be so caring when he was practically trying to hold you hostage using a potential child.
The next days were the same, the sudden nausea not even having the common courtesy to creep up on you, instead, hitting you full force, barely allotting you enough time to run to the bathroom or the trash bin to vomit. It didn’t matter what you ate, each day at the same exact time, it was always the same. You could see the light in Minhos eyes growing brighter each time it happened, but you were in denial, and you quite liked being in that state. You didn’t want to accept that there was a very real, very high possibility that you were now carrying his spawn. “I must be coming down with something…” You mumbled, resting your head in the palm of your hand, suddenly feeling exhausted, as if you hadn’t slept in days. It was another sign, another symptom, you knew that, but you hoped that Minho would overlook it.
“Well it has been 2 weeks, more than that actually, my darling.” The smile that he was was nothing short of sinister as he ran to the bathroom and returned with two boxes in his hands. You knew this time was coming, you had been dreading it, hoping that you would get your period at any moment now. It never came though, and you were terrified of what the tests would undoubtedly reveal once you took them. “I’m sure taking them would answer a lot of your questions… Here…” He slid the boxes across the table, but you refused to even look at them, instead staring out the window, trying your best to block out everything that he was saying. You didn’t want to be pregnant, not by him at least. How could you even be happy bringing a child into this type of lifestyle? “Darling…” He murmured the pet name softly, but rough hands suddenly gripped your chin, turning your attention to him fully. “Take the tests. Now.”
You huffed loudly, pushing yourself away from the table and snatching the boxes up before rushing to the bathroom. You knew well enough that if you didn’t get there in time and lock the door, he’d probably try to come in and watch you take them just to make sure you weren’t fabricating the results. It would have been a good idea, but you knew he’d notice. There was no way you could just run the test under the sink water and pretend they were negative. It’s not like he’d let you go if they were anyway, he’d just keep trying and trying… and once you started showing… He’d probably be more pissed off that you lied to him.
“You’re taking quite a while in there… Do you need help?” The question was genuine, but you glared at the door, knowing that he wouldn’t see it. It was the only time you could make those kinds of faces at him without being reprimanded for it. The tests laid on the back of the toilet seat, and much to your dismay, the second line showed up faster and darker than you ever expected it to. “Fuck!” You thought to yourself as you unlocked the bathroom door and flung it open, slipping past him as he rushed in. He was too preoccupied with being excited over the tests to focus on you, at least for right now. All you wanted to do was sleep and hopefully wake up from the nightmare that you had been living in for the last 3 years.
The First Trimester…
There was no bond forming. For the most part, you tried to forget that you were pregnant at all. It was easier during this stage. Other than the nausea and the exhaustion and the slight pulling and pinching sensations you’d feel in your lower back and upper thighs, all things that you could write off as any other reason, you didn’t feel pregnant. You were still in denial, you didn’t want this. Minho wanted this, and he was the only one happy about it. This was the happiest you had seen him though, he was absolutely elated, but he was also overly protective, which was becoming a real pain in the ass.
“I can get dressed on my own.” You muttered as he sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out to help you pull down your shirt after you had just put it on. “I really don’t like the hovering, it’s making me uncomfortable.” Were you allowed to be honest with him now? Would he excuse it as your hormones going crazy because of the baby? He wouldn’t yell at you, right? Not when you were in such a fragile state. He reached out further, grabbing your wrists, rather tightly, and pulled you towards him. Of course, he wouldn’t dare try to be so rough anywhere around your stomach, but everywhere else was still fair game.
“You’re carrying my child, and as long as you are, I can hover as much as I like.” He hissed, and even though you didn’t like his tone, you were grateful that he wasn’t yelling. “I know you don’t want it. You’d probably be overjoyed if you miscarried. I won’t allow that to happen though, so just be good for me, let me help.” His expression immediately shifted, his head tilting to the side as the most innocent looking smile had his teeth flashing up at you. It was like whiplash, it made your head hurt. “So what would my babies like to eat today, hmm? Are you craving anything in particular?” He cooed, although his attention was still primarily focused on your stomach.
Any other woman would want a man like him, a man that treated them this way and got this excited to find out they were pregnant. Any other woman could have him and all of his psychopathic tendencies. “I’m craving a nap.” You snapped, and you watched his nostrils flare out at your disobedient tone, but he didn’t say anything, instead getting off the bed and yanking the covers back for you, waiting for you to climb onto the mattress before carelessly throwing them back over your body. “Thank you.” You mumbled, rolling over onto your side so that your back was to him, tucking the covers around your chin and squeezing your eyes shut. It wasn’t just the raging hormones that tired you out, it was Minho too, him more than anything honestly. Living with him, well, no, not living, being stuck with him, was the most exhausting thing ever.
“I’ll wake you up for your vitamins and for lunch.” He said sternly, more like a strict caregiver than the father of your unborn child. You hated him. You hated that he did this to you, that he chose you to be the object of all of his desires. Why did he choose you? He still hadn’t told you why, he just insisted that you were the one that he wanted. Now you were carrying his child, and you feared that you’d truly be stuck with him forever. What did you do to deserve that?
The Second Trimester…
Most women would get an ultrasound at around 9 weeks. However, you had yours at 20 weeks. You didn’t go to a doctors office, instead, Minho had the doctors come to you. Even still, he didn’t want you leaving the house. Before the doctor was even allowed to see you, he had to sign an NDA, with Minhos reasoning being that he was an idol, and he didn’t want the public to know about his fiancées current condition. You still didn’t know when you had gotten engaged, but apparently it had happened at some point before the doctor's arrival.
Seeing your baby on the screen made it impossible to deny that you truly were pregnant. It also made it hard for you to hate it as you during your entire first trimester. Was it truly the baby’s fault that their father was crazy? Did it’s fathers behavior make the baby inherently evil? No… of course it didn’t. The baby was still a part of you, and you were a good person. You wouldn’t allow your child to grow up to be like Minho. “It’s a girl.” The doctor said, pointing to the screen as if you’d understand what you were being shown, but Minho was mesmerized by what he was seeing, his jaw slacked in awe.
“That’s my daughter… Our daughter? Really? Is she healthy?” It was Minho asking all the questions that most women in your position would be asking. You were too caught up in your own thoughts though. A baby girl, you were carrying his daughter. She’d be more like you, right? Maybe having a daughter would change the way he is, he’d become normal, a man that you could actually love and welcome having a family with. He wouldn’t want his own daughter to be with a man like himself, right?
The doctor turned up the volume on the little tv, a rapid pulsing sound filled the room, both you and Minho were silent as you listened. “She’s healthy, very healthy.” The doctor said, smiling to both you and Minho. You were… happy. A single tear rolled down your cheek as you stared at the screen, watching the baby squirm around, and you couldn’t wait to be able to feel her moving beneath your skin. “I’ll print out the pictures and then be on my way. I’d like to make another appointment for next month though, make sure she continues growing the way she should. I also want some bloodwork from you…” He motioned towards you, and you swallowed thickly, looking at Minho who looked slightly annoyed at the doctor's pushiness. “Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong, we just like to make sure that there’s no underlying problems. Better to be safe, right?”
His words had you tensing up, your hands moving down to your stomach, rubbing over the small swell that had begun to form as your daughter grew bigger. “Why… Why would there be underlying problems? What could be wrong?” You squeaked out, not wanting to look up at the doctor, worried that his expression would give you a silent answer, one that you were scared to know. Minho was still, like a statue, only his eyes moving between you and the doctor, but there was no answer, just a soft sigh and a gentle tapping against your hand to try to calm you. The gesture was supposed to make you feel better, but you heard Minhos teeth gritting together.
“It’s just precautionary. This is your first appointment since you’ve gotten pregnant. It’s to make sure both you and the baby are healthy and that there are no problems now or in the future. From what I see though, you and your daughter are perfectly fine. You have nothing to worry about.” Your hand was held lightly by the doctor who offered you a reassuring smile, but before you could thank him, Minho was, quite rudely, ushering him out of the room and shutting the door. On the other side of the door, in the hallway, you could hear Minhos aggrivated voice, low enough that you couldn’t make out what he was saying, but you could feel it, reverberating through the walls and the floorboards. He was talking so fast that the doctor didn’t have a chance to speak, and before you knew it, the front door was slammed shut and then Minho was storming back into the bedroom.
“Touching you… Holding your hand… Who the fuck is that guy?!” Minho growled as he shut the door behind himself, pinching the bridge of his nose as he leaned against the door. “You don’t need any more fucking doctors. You were doing just fine without them. There’s nothing else we need to know anyway. Our daughter is healthy and that’s what matters. There’s no need to have some touchy ass fuckwad coming in here, looking at you… Ugh!” You could see the heat radiating off of him, he was beyond angry, he was absolutely irate, and while you didn’t want to push him any further, what the doctor had said prompted you to speak up.
“Min… Honey…” It was an attempt to soften him up, you never called him that, not unless you were trying to get him to agree to something. Most of the time it never worked, but it at least would keep him from going off as rashly as he would without the pet name. “What if there is a… a problem… I think we both should know. We don’t need to keep him as our doctor… We can find someone else… But I think the bloodwork is important.” You sat up on the bed, trying to get a better look at him, trying to read his expression, but he was completely blank. “Minho…” You tried to get his attention, unaware that you already had it fully and he was just deep in thought.
“No…” His hand was held out, one finger up to silence you as a chuckle was huffed out of his parted lips, his breaths coming faster and faster as he pushed himself away from the door. “I know what you’re doing. I know what this is…” The pet name didn’t work, nothing would work, he was already angry as it was and you were simply making things worse. “You want him to come back… You want him to take you away from me. That’s what you want. I know you! You’ve wanted nothing but to leave since you’ve been with me! He can’t have my fucking daughter! And he sure as hell can’t have you!” He climbed onto the bed, straddling you and holding your face between his hands. It wasn’t exactly painful, maybe you were numb to the pain it might have caused at first, but now you just found it annoying. “What do I need to do to make you stay!?” He shouted, his breath fanning across your face with every word. It’s like he was using all of the air in his lungs to enunciate every syllable.
“Minho, stop it.” You whispered, knowing that the wrong word, a wrong look, saying it in a way that he didn’t like, it would only have him spiraling deeper and he’d drag you right along with him. “Please… h-honey look at me… I’m not trying to leave you… I just want to know that me and the baby are healthy, that there’s nothing wrong. I don’t want anything to happen to either of us… I want her… Honey, I want a family with you…” Sure, you were really sugarcoating it to try to get him to calm down, but you also really needed to know that everything would be okay. The last thing you wanted was for something to happen to you and him blame your daughter for the rest of his life or vice versa.
His hands dropped down to your shoulders, his body now shuddering, although you didn’t know if it was because he was about to cry or if he was just shaking with anger. It was always hard to gauge his reactions or how he was truly feeling. It had you on edge all the time, and you felt like a tiny rodent, cornered by a feral cat. “Nothing is going to happen to either of you…” He mumbled, his head hung low, his hair curtaining his face. “Stupid fucking doctor, putting that shit in your head, scaring my darling…” This wasn’t what you wanted, his anger once again shifted towards the doctor who was just trying to do his job. “Do you really think I’d let anything happen to you and our baby?” You shook your head, of course he wouldn’t let something happen to either of you, not because he cared, but because he couldn’t fathom the thought of not owning you anymore. “You’ll be just fine, darling. You’re overthinking what that jackass said.” And with that, it’s like all of the anger washed away, a sudden wave of calmness rinsing him clean of the negativity. “Let’s get something to eat. My girls are hungry, aren’t they?” He pressed a kiss to your forehead before shifting off of you and off of the bed, grabbing your hand and carefully helping you up to your feet. The sudden shift had you feeling dizzy, but it was welcome, at least he wasn’t yelling at you.
The Third Trimester…
Something was wrong, although you weren’t sure what it was. The ongoing nausea, the headaches, the blurred vision, you knew there was a problem. All you could think of was the argument that you had almost 15 weeks ago, wanting to at least have bloodwork done to make sure you were okay, but of course Minho had denied you of the simple procedure. If anything happened to you, it would be his fault, but he wouldn’t look at it that way, no, it would be someone else’s fault, it always was whenever he fucked up.
“Someone’s tired…” He whispered when he walked into the bedroom where you were still laying. It’s not that you were actually that tired, you just couldn’t move without feeling sick. When he pulled open the curtains, you squeezed your eyes shut, groaning loudly as the bright sun only amplified the raging headache you were already suffering through. “Sorry, darling. Can’t lay in bed all day. Gotta get you up and moving. Come on.” He yanked the covers back and his eyes landed on your feet which had become so swollen you could barely even fit them in your slippers anymore. “What happened?” He whispered, although there was a slight panic in his voice as he gently grabbed your ankle and lifted it, looking over the extremity for any signs of injury.
“I think… I think…” You kept starting the sentence only to be left practically winded after only saying two words. “Problem…” You settled for one word, hoping that it would get your point across and that he’d take some kind of action. He blinked a few times, backing away from the bed, his hands running through his hair as he seemed to be fighting an internal battle with himself. “Please…” You pleaded, your hands cradling your swollen stomach. If not to help you, at least to help your baby who he seemed to want more than anything.
“Shut… Shut up! I’m thinking!” He screeched, suddenly pacing back and forth as his breaths came out sharply, sounding more like whistles as they came through pursed lips. “Why would you let this happen! What even… God dammit!” He shouted, his fist colliding with the wall in an act of frustration, and even though he was fully across the room, you jumped at the sudden act of violence. He would never hit you, no matter how mad he got he had never actually hit you, but when things got this bad, you always feared just how far he would go or how far gone he was. “What am I supposed to do?! Take you to the hospital?!”
Yes. Yes, that’s exactly what he was supposed to do to keep both you and your daughter from potentially dying. “If I could just… have her… get her out… we could be… okay…” You said breathlessly, and he whipped around in your direction, his eyes wild and crazed. It truly seemed like he was losing his mind. “Min… I don’t want t-… to die… please…” You begged, the sudden onslaught of tears only making it harder to breathe.
“Fuck! You think I want you to die!? You think I want that!?” He questioned, and soon his hands were back in his hair, tugging at the ends as he let out a loud scream. “This is exactly what you wanted, isn’t it! It’s what you wanted to happen! You wanted to leave me so bad! You’d rather die than be with me!” He was once again blaming you, yelling at you for something that you didn’t even understand at the moment. You didn’t know what was happening, so why the hell was he attacking you for it? “Such a fucking bitch! God! Fuck! Get up!” You were being… belittled… insulted… cursed at for… dying? At least if you did die, you wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore. You wouldn’t have to deal with him anymore. But did you really want to leave your poor baby with someone like him?
Getting up was a daunting task, it took you longer than it usually would just to swing your legs over the side of the bed. Every small movement made you feel like you had run a marathon, your breaths becoming more labored, your vision becoming spotty, and the urge to vomit became more of an oncoming threat as the bile from your otherwise empty stomach rose to your throat. There was no time to get to the bathroom, you weren’t even on your feet yet, and before you had any time to even warn Minho, you were doubled over, heaving up the acid that burned your throat on its way out. He watched, not coming close or helping you, but he watched, his lips parted and his eyes blinking rapidly as if what he was seeing wasn’t true. “Sorry…” The word was spoken in a single raspy breath, your head hung low with both shame, embarrassment, and pain. Your throat was scratchy now, and it felt like fire was being held against the back of it. Tears pricked your eyes and snot ran down your nose, stopping at your upper lip, and you didn’t even have the energy to wipe that away.
“What happened…?” He asked, his voice once again soft, laced with the false tone of worry. It used to make you think he cared, but now you knew it was an act. It was all an act. “Let’s… Let’s go…” He said, his voice wavering. He truly didn’t know what to do, but he knew that he didn’t want to do this. It’s not like he had a choice though. You looked awful, like you were already standing at death's door, and that terrified him. He had seen you sick before, but he had never seen you like this. “C-Can you walk? Do you need… Uhm… Shit…” He was tripping over his words, but when he saw you try to get up on your own, he rushed over, his arm wrapping around you.
Looking at you this close, he could see that your face was swollen too, and beads of sweat lingered on your forehead. “She hasn’t moved… Min… I’m- I’m scared…” You whimpered, and he pulled you closer to him, letting your body fall against his side, trying to take all of your weight as he walked you towards the front door. “Min…” You breathed out his name, your head falling against his shoulder. He hummed to let you know he heard you, grabbing everything he needed with one hand as he walked through your shared apartment. “If you have… to save any of us… save her… save the baby…” You wheezed, all of your weight falling against him, everything that he had been carrying was dropped immediately to catch you.
“No… no no no! Stop talking like that! Stop it!” Minho shouted, his voice trembling from the sobs he tried to hold back. “I’m not losing either of you, dammit! I-…” He sniffled softly, and while your eyes had been closed the entire time, trying to block out the light that shone through the window in the living room, you could feel his eyes on you. “I love you… You know that, don’t you? I’m not… If anything happens…” The thought was stopped before he could get the words out, but you were stuck on the three words he had said prior. Love was such a strong emotion, you hadn’t felt loved the entire time you had been with him, and he had never said it before now either. Did the thought of you being gone forever make him change? If you did make it through, would he go back to the way he was before? Maybe death was the only escape…
I’ll Make You Stay…
There was no way the doctors would make him choose… It couldn’t be that serious. You were absolutely fine, right? He hadn’t noticed anything wrong until today… or were you just that good at hiding things from him? Why would you hide something like this from him? Were you afraid of him? Why were you scared of his love? He just loves you so much! What’s wrong with that? He wanted you to be with him forever, he wanted you to be his darling, why did you make it seem like that was so awful? He’d show you that you could be happy, that he could make you happy, you just had to stay with him, you had to stay.
“Why can’t I go in?” Minho asked once again to the nurse who slipped out of the room. Each time he said it he was more irritated than the last. He just didn’t understand. What could be so wrong that he couldn’t be there for the birth of his daughter? Every time, the nurse would just sigh, getting more agitated with him. “I’ll just go in then. You can’t keep me from seeing her. That’s my wife, that’s my daughter! If you won’t tell me what’s going on then I’ll just-“
The nurse cleared her throat, although it sounded more like she was groaning. He tried not to let it bother him the way it usually would. He had far better, far more important things to worry about than the bitchy attitude of the nurse. “She didn’t want me to tell you. I’m trying to respect her wishes. She wanted to be alone.” The nurse explained, but it only stirred up more questions in Minhos now overactive mind. What was the reason behind you wanting to go through this alone? Did he not have a say in being able to watch his daughter be born? It was unfair, and once everything was over with, he’d be having a talk with you about how rude and humiliating it was for him to sit out in the hallway while you were delivering his child. He opened his mouth, not even to speak, just to breathe, and the nurse started talking, as if she assumed he was just going to continue complaining. “Both of them are not well. The last thing I wanted to do was go against what could possibly be her last wish. Are you understanding now, sir?”
Your… last wish? It sounded like you were dying… It couldn’t possibly be that bad… Is it? Why would you want to be alone during a time like this? How could you leave him this way? Do you not even care about his feelings? It’s like you want to make him miserable! All he wanted was to have a family with you, to make you stay with him forever, and now you’re trying to get away by dying!? You were so selfish! Why couldn’t you just be healthy?! He had done everything right. He made sure you ate and had your vitamins and did daily exercises and that you always got enough sleep. If anything happens to you and the baby… It would be your fault! It would all be your fault!
“An early blood test would have shown that this was a possibility. It would have potentially kept this from happening. If she was getting proper appointments, this would have been caught before it got this bad. Who was her OB?” The nurse asked, her clipboard resting against her forearm, her pen held in her other hand, as if she was waiting for the information to jot down. The mention of your doctor had his mind pausing for a split second… This is why you needed the bloodwork done? Why had no one told him that back then? Why was he not informed of the risks that would come along if the bloodwork wasn’t done? This still wasn’t his fault though… No, the doctor should have talked to you and him more about the benefits of getting early bloodwork done.
It was the doctors fault… If he hadn’t been so touchy with you, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal for him to come back and do the bloodwork. It was all the doctors fault, and if something were to happen to you or the baby… Minho would make sure that the doctor paid for it. He told the nurse the doctor's name, trying not to let his smile break through the mask of sadness that he was wearing, but it was hard. The thought of getting that guy to potentially lose his job, it was nice, and he couldn’t help but feel a little… overjoyed, knowing that if anything were to happen to you and the baby, it wouldn’t be in vain, at least the doctor will suffer as well. “I guess I’ll… wait out here…” He said, the frown once again returning to his face as he dropped down into the chair beside your door. It was still hard not being in there with you, knowing that so many people were looking at you, touching you… He felt like he was going to lose his mind, and the only way that he was keeping himself slightly sane was by constantly telling himself that he could potentially lose you and his daughter if those doctors didn’t help you.
He was in and out of sleep the whole time, his head falling against the wall and his eyes drooping shut, only for them to shoot back open whenever an alarm would go off, looking up at the light above your door to make sure it wasn’t for your room before drifting back to sleep once more when he realized it wasn’t. It had been hours, he finally stopped counting after the seventh, when the door finally opened and one of the nurses, different from the one before, walked out. There were dark circles under her eyes, she looked frazzled and exhausted, but there was no urgency, there was no sadness… Was everything okay? Would he be able to keep you and his daughter? “Sir…” She started, and Minho sat up straight, his eyes hopeful as he looked up at the nurse. “I don’t want to sugarcoat anything, I don’t want you to get excited just yet… Although your wife and the baby are… alive… That doesn’t mean that things are… okay.” It was like all of the hope was drained from his body immediately, even after hearing that you were alive… How could you still not be okay?
“Well… what’s wrong? What happened? I mean… I need some information here!” He was trying not to get worked up, but the way the nurse seemed to be beating around the bush was highly aggravating. For Christ's sake, he’s your boyfriend, the father of the child, and she was talking to him like he was some nobody. He deserves… No, he needs to know what happened! “How is she not okay? Is the baby okay? Come on, tell me something, dammit!” He didn’t care if she was tired, or if she was emotionally worn out after helping you. That’s her damn job, and part of it is telling him what the hell is going on.
She sighed loudly, clearly not happy with the way that Minho was talking to her, but he didn’t really care for that either. He wasn’t even allowed in the damn room, the least she could do was tell him what had gone on while he was locked out in the hallway. “The mother had preeclampsia which advanced to class one HELLP, which I will not go into full detail about, a simple google search will tell you what it is, but I will say that she had the most severe case of HELLP that I have ever seen in my years of working here. We were at a point where we worried that we would have to choose whether she lived or the baby lived. She had to have blood transfusions before we could even deliver the baby, she was in the early stages of kidney failure, and while we were in the process of trying to help the mother, the baby went into respiratory distress. We had to do an emergency c-section, which wasn’t easy because we were worried about hemorrhaging, which did in fact happen. The baby is currently in the NICU, she is underweight, we have to do tests to check her platelet count, she’ll most likely be in the NICU for a couple of weeks, and that’s minimum, especially if her platelets aren’t normal. The mother needs to stay because we have to make sure she doesn’t have any other underlying health issues, and we need to monitor her closely because the first couple days after delivering a baby with HELLP syndrome could be fatal. So yes, the mother and the baby are alive… But they are in no way, shape or form, okay or healthy enough to come home anytime soon. Does that answer your questions, sir?”
Minho didn’t know what to say, he didn’t know where to start. He didn’t understand anything that had been said to him, all he knew was that it was bad and that you wouldn’t be going home with him. How could you let things get this bad? Why didn’t you tell him? Surely you must have felt ill or something when this was all going on? And that damn doctor… Why did he have to touch you? Why did he have to make him so angry? If he had just been a normal doctor, he would have been allowed to come back and do your bloodwork. This all could have been avoided! It wasn’t his fault. It wasn’t! How was he supposed to know that something like this could happen?! He had never read anything about this online! He didn’t know something like this could happen! It wasn’t his fault!
“Anyway…” The nurse spoke once more, taking Minhos silence as an opening. “She’s resting, they both are. There’s going to be doctors in and out of the room constantly, so, if you’d like to go in there, you can, but I wouldn’t expect to get any rest. If I were you, I’d honestly just go home, get some sleep, and come back in the afternoon. They’re not going anywhere, it’s going to be a long road ahead of the both of them… And you need to get as much rest as possible to prepare for it.” And with that, she walked away. He was left alone in the hallway with his thoughts, the faint sound of a heart monitor beeping just beyond the closed door to your room was the only sound he could really focus on.
You were alive… You had stayed… You weren’t leaving him. He would have his family, and he would have it with you, his perfect darling. Nothing like this would ever happen again, he had his baby girl, and he had you. The two of you were all he needed. Once he had you and his baby back home, he’d make sure he never had to let you out of his sight again. You were going to stay with him, he would make you stay. That’s why he wanted the baby in the first place, and in the end, he still got exactly what he wanted.

Chapter 20 - Peace Tea
Tumblr media
It felt like the weight of the world had collapsed around you. A quick fuck? There was no way he just said that. You stared back at the six men, their eyes filled with a useless, empty apology. You didn’t want their apologies; you didn’t want anything from them. Anger and hurt churned inside you, barely contained beneath a fragile composure.
“Well,” you began, your voice surprisingly steady despite the storm inside. “I’m sorry to have been such a burden.” You nodded curtly, then turned on your heel and retreated to the bedroom, slamming the door and locking it with a finality that echoed your resolve.
“Y/N… it’s not like that!” Chris’s voice followed you, but you only heard the lock clicking shut.
“She really thinks that’s what we all meant?” Minho’s confusion was palpable, his gaze fixed on the closed door.
“We don’t know how much she actually heard,” Han whispered, his voice tense with worry.
“Maybe we should give her some space?” Felix suggested, his eyes pleading with Chris to back down.
“No. I’m staying with her,” Chris insisted, his tone hardening.
“Hyung, she clearly needs some space,” Hyunjin interjected, picking up one of the bags with a resigned sigh.
“I’m not leaving until she understands,” Chris said with grim determination. “You guys go back to the dorm. We need to start getting ready for the comeback tomorrow.” He dismissed them with a wave, his eyes never leaving the door behind which you had locked yourself.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another knock echoed against the bedroom door. He'd been sitting out there for an hour while you lay curled up in the bedsheets, your eyes wide open, staring into the abyss of your thoughts.
"Y/N, please? Can we talk about this?" His voice sounded tired, fraying at the edges. If it weren't for Seungmin's words and Chris' replies replaying endlessly in your mind, you might almost feel sorry for him.
"This was supposed to be a simple one-nighter with a STAY that got slightly out of hand."
"A quick fuck."
Each repetition of those words was like a knife twisting deeper into your heart. Your mind was a battleground, your heart fighting against the relentless logic in your head. Chris had been out there, relentlessly trying to reach you. You should give him some sign of life.
"Go away, Chris," you croaked, your voice weaker than you intended, the hour of crying taking its toll on your throat. "I've heard all you had to say." The silence between you was loud for a few moments.
“I made more tea…” His voice, barely more than a whisper, slipped through the door, an attempt at a peace offering amidst the turmoil. “If I could come in and bring it, maybe we could talk about what you think you heard?” His tone was serious but edged with a desperate attempt at playfulness.
“I know what I heard, Christopher.” Your response was sharp, your anger flaring up again.
“Okay, then let's talk about what you heard. We’re talking now, it’s just the same without a door and with some tea.” He tried to coax you, his words laced with a plea.
You could hear his voice's weariness and struggle to reach you. The mention of tea was almost laughable, a fragile attempt to bridge the gap that had opened between you. You wanted to hold on to your anger, to the betrayal you felt, but his persistence gnawed at the edges of your resolve. You found yourself walking to the door, clicking the lock open and opening the door a crack to poke your head around.
“Let me see the peace offering.” Your voice was edged with defiance, the remnants of tears still streaking your cheeks, eyes red and swollen. Seeing you like this broke his heart; he had never wanted to see you sad.
Chris held the tea up to eye level, a simple gesture heavy with meaning. You opened the door wider, allowing him entry, and walked back to the bed, sinking into the dishevelled sheets. He followed you, the door clicking shut softly behind him.
He hesitated for a moment, then set the tea on the nightstand. The silence was thick with unspoken words, a fragile truce hanging in the air. Chris sat down carefully on the edge of the bed, his eyes searching yours for any sign of the connection that had once been so vibrant between you.
“Are you…” he started, then sighed, catching himself. “Stupid question; of course, you’re not okay.”
“You have five minutes to give me a compelling argument as to why I shouldn’t call Theo and just go back to the airport,” you sighed, defeat lacing your voice.
“Because you can’t,” Chris stated simply.
“That’s not an argument,” you snapped back, frustration bubbling.
“It’s my argument,” he replied firmly, his gaze unwavering.
You stared at him, your mind racing, heart aching. His stubbornness was infuriating, yet there was something in his eyes, a raw honesty that made it hard to look away.
“Why can’t I?” you challenged, crossing your arms.
“Because running away won’t fix this,” he said, his voice steady. “And you know it. I know I messed up but leaving won’t solve anything.”
“A one-nighter that got out of hand.” You threw his own words back at him. “A quick fuck.” You echoed Seungmin’s words, each syllable like venom. “If I’m such an inconvenience, why did you even bother bringing me out here? You could have just left me to the press back home.”
“Out of context, those sound really bad,” he conceded, his tone careful. “But you’re missing the important part of the conversation.”
“I heard everything,” you insisted, your voice unwavering.
“Even the part where Felix said I was falling for you?” he asked, his eyes searching yours.
“Yes, even the… wait, what?” You froze, the realisation hitting you like a wave. Chris’ smile grew as he watched understanding dawn on your face.
“I’m falling for you,” he stated plainly, a simple, undeniable truth.
Your mind raced, replaying the conversation in a new light. The words that had hurt you so profoundly suddenly seemed less clear, less absolute. The anger and betrayal began to unravel, leaving confusion and a flicker of hope in their wake.
“Why didn’t you just tell me?” you asked, your voice softer, more vulnerable.
“I was scared,” he admitted, his eyes filled with sincerity. “Scared of how much I care about you, scared of messing it up. But I can’t keep running from it. You mean too much to me.”
“But Seungmin?” you asked, the confusion over his words lingering like a dark cloud.
“He’s mad. Like, mad, mad,” Chris admitted. “He’s been blowing up my phone since he left.” He pulled out his phone and handed it to you, showing the barrage of messages. Seungmin’s texts were a relentless stream of anger, accusing Chris of ruining everything, taking away the best sex of his life, and stealing the limelight again. The words were filled with vitriol, each more hateful than the last.
Chris’s face was a mask of sadness, and in that moment, all you wanted to do was wrap him up in cotton wool and hide him from the world. He looked so vulnerable, so wounded.
“Channie,” you said, your voice tinged with sadness.
“It’s okay, Y/N,” he replied, though his eyes betrayed the hurt he felt. “He’ll cool down eventually. He just has a temper sometimes.” He shrugged, trying to sound more hopeful than he felt.
You looked at him, seeing the weight of the situation pressing down on his shoulders. The room felt heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions. You reached out, taking his hand in yours, the warmth of his touch grounding you.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, your voice breaking. “I didn’t realize…”
Chris squeezed your hand gently. “You have nothing to apologise for. This is between me and Seungmin. I just want you to know that what he said doesn’t change how I feel about you.”
“For what it’s worth,” you whispered, squeezing his hand back, “I’m falling for you too…”
The sadness on Chris’s face melted into pure joy. You moved over in the bed, allowing him to slide in next to you. He promptly wrapped you up in his arms, holding you as if you might disappear if he let go.
“You’re not leaving my side,” he stated, squeezing you tighter.
“I might die in this death grip, though!” you protested, your voice muffled against his chest. He loosened his hold slightly, enough to look at you, his eyes filled with relief and affection.
Then, he pressed his lips against yours, a tender kiss, different from the passionate ones you’d shared before. This kiss was filled with emotion, a promise of understanding and connection. He kissed your jawline softly, trailing back to your lips, each touch a silent apology and a vow to do better.
After a moment, you rested your head on his chest, the steady beat of his heart lulling you rhythmically to sleep. Chris's phone buzzed on the nightstand as the first gentle snore left your lips. He picked it up, careful not to disturb you, and stared at the message.
‘I’m going to make you regret this.’

Chapter 19 - Three’s Company, Nine’s a Crowd
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“That’s no fair, Hyung,” Seungmin groaned from the edge of the bed, a pout on his lips. “Everyone else has had their turn with her; you stole my chance at the club that night!”
“He’s got a point, Chan…” Changbin added, glancing at you with a wicked smile. “We did kind of snatch y/n away from Minnie that night. It’s only fair that he gets to go first.”
The ramen was a distant memory now. You lay sprawled on your new bed for the foreseeable future, clad only in a set of delicate black lace. Thank god you anticipated how tonight might unfold, opting for one of the more daring sets bought for you back home. It fits you perfectly; whoever did the shopping deserved a raise. The intricate black threads traced seductive patterns across your skin, but you knew they wouldn’t stay on for long.
Propped up on your elbows, you observed the heated conversation around you. Eight pairs of hungry eyes roamed your nearly naked body. Changbin, Seungmin, and Chris were at the foot of the bed, their gazes intense. Felix and Hyunjin flanked you on either side while IN, Han, and Minho lounged across the room, watching with rapt attention. In any other situation, you might have felt self-conscious, but you had never felt more powerful here, surrounded by their desire.
You let out a soft, sultry laugh, amused by Seungmin’s desperation. “Give him a chance, Channie,” you suggested playfully, your voice dripping with seduction. “You never know; he might just surprise you.” Seungmin’s eyes lit up, his head bobbing enthusiastically as he practically jumped at the opportunity.
“Fine,” Chan relented, his eyes never leaving yours. “But if anything gets too intense, you just say the word, okay?” His tone was firm, but the underlying heat was unmistakable.
“Promise,” you purred back, matching his intensity, your heart racing with the thrill of what was about to unfold.
As the boys moved back from the bed, Seungmin crawled up to meet you, his lips crashing into yours before he could utter a word. You welcomed him eagerly, wrapping your arms around his neck, tangling your fingers in his hair, and pulling him closer. The intensity of his kiss felt familiar, each touch igniting a fire within you as the room seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you in a world of passion.
His hands roamed your body, tracing the curves and contours delicately. He broke the kiss, leaving your lips swollen and flushed, and moved to your ear, his breath hot against your neck.
“Suck on my fingers,” he demanded, his voice low and filled with lust as he placed two fingers against your lips. “Get them nice and wet for me, beautiful.”
Your tongue swirled around his fingers, and he quickly propped himself up to look at you, your eyes locked on his as you gazed up through your lashes. The look of desire in his eyes deepened as you took him in, your mouth working with deliberate sensuality. When he pulled his fingers out, the suction made a satisfying pop, and a wicked smile spread across his face.
“Good girl,” he praised, his voice husky with arousal as he moved his slick fingers down to your pussy. The wetness on his hands proved unnecessary as he discovered just how ready you were for him, his touch sending shivers of pleasure through your body. From his first touch, your moans filled the room, the noise affecting the other men. Zippers opening, belts being undone, and breaths hitching joined the noises you were producing under Minnie’s touch.
Seungmin wasted no time, knowing his friends would grow impatient and want their turn. He quickly found himself between your legs, his underwear vanishing across the room. He looked at you, checking for any sign of consent to move forward. You nodded eagerly.
“Please, Minnie, need you…” You begged, reaching up to him. You didn’t have to ask him twice; he was buried in you within seconds, the sudden stretch causing the most pornographic moan to leave your lips; the room reacted in unison.
“Jesus, Y/N, fuck!” He growled, his lips urgently searching for yours as he started rutting into you at an unwavering pace. “And you were going to keep this pussy from me?” His head snapped to find Chris’s face with a dark grin before turning back to you, grabbing your calves and hiking them up to his shoulders. His pace never slowed, and this new angle had you screaming with pleasure.
“Minnie! Fuck. Minnie, I’m going to cum if you... Fuck!” You tried to speak between thrusts but to no avail. It was just a few more thrusts before the most earth-shattering orgasm raced through you, having you seeing stars as he rode you through it. The clenching of your walls around him drove him to his edge, quickly pulling out as he released himself all over the new lace set before collapsing next to you. You took a moment, regaining your breath with your eyes closed. Seungmin leaned over, planting a lingering kiss on your lips as you both heaved to catch your breath.
“You’re not done yet, beautiful,” Minho teased as you opened your eyes, momentarily forgetting the others were still there. You glanced around the room and noticed a face was missing.
“Where’s Han?” you asked quietly, regaining your composure.
“He tried to wait for you, but…” Minho began but was quickly interrupted.
“That was so fucking hot,” Felix breathed, rushing over and crashing his lips into yours, desperate for a taste of the action. You smiled back into the kiss, breaking away before climbing off the bed and onto your knees. Raising your head to lock eyes with Felix, you gently took his cock into your mouth, knowing that with the sight he just saw, there was no way any of them would last much longer.
Between the remaining six men, you were gifted with at least four more mind-blowing orgasms—a new record for you in one evening. Each man treated you better than the last, and in return, you gave them the best head of their lives. By the time you reached Changbin, you were exhausted, your body nearly giving up despite your unyielding enthusiasm.
“Oh bunny, look at you, all fucked out,” Changbin murmured, his voice thick with lust. “Binnie’s going to do all the hard work for you, okay?” You nodded weakly, your eyes glazed with desire as he guided your mouth onto his cock. His hands tangled in your hair, and you felt the familiar burn of tears mixing with the already streaked remnants on your cheeks.
Changbin’s thrusts were relentless, each one pushing you to the edge of your limits. His praise and guttural moans filled the room, making every gag and tear worth it. The raw need in his voice spurred you on, even as your body trembled with exhaustion.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As intense as the night was, it was enchanting. Korea no longer seemed so foreign or daunting. The only lingering thought was of Chris. Despite your efforts to draw him into the fun, he insisted he was content just watching. If not for the unmistakable lust in his eyes and the steady stream of praise he offered, you might have thought you’d upset him.
Lying naked on the bed, completely spent and exhausted, you listened to the gentle bustle of the men around the apartment. Someone had started running a bath, another was boiling the kettle, and you could have sworn you heard Seungmin and IN playfully arguing about which blanket to bring you. A soft smile graced your lips as the quiet chatter warmed your heart.
“Is that a smile, beautiful?” Chan’s voice was gentle from the foot of the bed, and you turned to look at him.
“Channie,” you whined softly, opening your arms, wanting him to come and embrace you. His heart melted at the sight of you, unable to deny you his presence.
“Not yet, baby,” he whispered, reaching down to scoop you into his arms. He carried you carefully to the bathroom where the bath had been prepared. “If I put you down, will you be able to hold your own weight?” he asked, concern evident in his eyes. You nodded softly, and he gently placed you down, helping you into the warm, soothing water.
As you sank into the bath, the heat enveloped your tired body; you felt a sense of peace. Chan stayed by your side, his presence comforting and steady, his eyes filled with adoration and care as he gently helped you wash. His fingers gently massaged shampoo into your scalp or ran a loofa over your shoulders and back. Leaving only to change the bedding and find you some fresh loungewear to wear for the evening. He helped you out of the bath on his return, guiding you back to the fresh bed. Clean pyjamas, tea, and snacks littered the nightstand beside a candle Hyunjin almost definitely picked out.
“Get changed, I’ll wait out here,” Chris spoke softly as he headed for the door to the rest of the boys. You nodded, changing slowly into your clean clothes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stray Kids POV:
Chris shut the door behind him gently, and the room's focus shifted to him, the weight of their stares heavy.
“She’s fine, just tired and not overly talkative…” he chuckled weakly, reflecting on the past hour of aftercare with you, though the laugh held little humour.
“Hyung? What was all that? You encouraged us to pursue this idea but didn’t get involved,” IN asked, his confusion palpable.
“I don’t know, man, my brain is just all over the place,” Chris sighed, his voice low to avoid being overheard through the thin walls.
“It’s pretty obvious, Chris…” Felix said, stepping closer and placing a hand on Chris’s shoulder. “You’re falling for her.”
Chris’s face flushed with anger and embarrassment before he quickly shook off the suggestion. “That was never the plan!” he whispered harshly. “This was supposed to be a simple one-nighter with a STAY that got slightly out of hand.”
“Nothing ever really goes to plan,” Minho added with a shrug, his nonchalance a stark contrast to the tension in the room.
“Dude, you can’t just bring her into all of our lives like this and then throw a fit because you like her more than just being a quick fuck,” Seungmin hissed through clenched teeth, his words shocking the group.
“Seungmin, it’s not like that…” Chris tried to explain, but Seungmin stormed out of the apartment before he could finish.
“I’ll go after him,” IN sighed, already anticipating the dramatics he’d have to deal with for the rest of the evening, and followed Seungmin out.
“I’m going to stay with Y/N tonight,” Chris announced to the remaining members, his voice resolute.
“Hyung, the company wouldn’t…” Changbin began, concern lacing his words.
“Respectfully, fuck the company,” Chris hissed, his face softening as he saw everyone's eyes shift to focus behind him.
“Chan?” You spoke, voice no longer as sleepy as it was before.

I'm so sorry for making everyone wait! I hope you enjoy this Anonny! Request : Anonny : Could you do one with Felix or seungmin, you’re their best friend and you both have feelings for each other. Felix or seungmin finds out about it and goes out with girls to try and make you jealous but instead you end up distancing yourself from him because you can’t bear to look at him with other girls, he notices and comes to you and you guys make up and kisses and fluff pls 😊
“Bestie boo boo!!” You called out, running over to Seungmin and wrapping your arms around him from behind. You could tell it was him just from the back of his head, that’s how close the two of you were. It had been that way since middle school when your parents moved and you got transferred to his school. He was your first friend, your only friend for the longest time.
“Hate it when you call me that…” He mumbled, but you could feel his chest vibrating with silent laughter. What you couldn’t see was the deep red blush that covered his cheeks and the shy smile that tugged at his cheeks. For the longest time you looked at him as just a friend, the two of you had even dated other people through high school, consoling each other after breakups, being each other’s wingmen, the stupid shit that best friends do for each other in high school. Now that you were in college though, you couldn’t help but really see him, see him as more than a friend… The only problem was that he didn’t see you as anything more.
You lightly slapped him on the back, an overly dramatic scowl on your face, waiting for him to turn around. “Yah! Look at me…” He slowly turned around and you made sure to change the scowl to a pout when he finally looked at you. Neither of you could keep up the act long though, it took less than 4 seconds for both of you to laugh. “Seriously though, you’re bestie boo boo, it isn’t changing.”
He rolled his eyes before grabbing the strap of your backpack and pulling you closer. To say your heart almost jumped out of your chest was an understatement, all the years of watching k-dramas… was this your moment? “You annoy me. Why are we friends again?” He muttered, throwing his arm over your shoulder and practically dragging you along next to him as he walked. Your silence had him stopping and looking at you though, his eyebrow arched, a flash of worry glinting in his eyes. “I’m joking… That was a joke. I know that you’d be helpless without me.”
Your lips popped as your mouth fell open, the smug look on his face both aggravating and extremely attractive at the same time. “I am not helpless. I don’t even need you.” That was a lie, you needed him in more ways than what he was thinking, but you kept those thoughts to yourself as you moved out from under his arm and walked ahead of him. Your pride was short-lived as you stepped on a rock, your ankle twisting in the process and a tiny yelp leaving your mouth.
Seungmin had run over to you immediately, dropping his bag beside him so he could grab onto you, his hands firmly gripping your waist to hold you steady, and even though your ankle was sore, the electric feeling that coursed through you from his touch overpowered the pain completely. “You walk away for… what was that? 5 seconds? Maybe 6?” He sighed softly, shaking his head as he looked you over, and he must have taken the flustered look on your face as one of pain because he quickly grabbed his bag with one hand, his other arm staying around your waist as he slowly walked with you. “Is your ankle okay? I can carry you. Do you think you can make it to the nurse?”
“I don’t even need to go to the nurse…” You muttered, trying to upkeep your i’m totally fine act, all while also trying to keep your heart beating at a steady pace with his arm still wrapped around you. “You’ll just mock me the whole time anyway… I mean, who trips over a rock… so stupid.” You continued to mumble.
His tongue clicked against the roof of his mouth and you were ready for him to start firing off the jokes that you’d most likely hear for the next month or so, but he let out a soft sigh. “I’m not going to make fun of you for getting hurt, I’m not a complete asshole.” You huffed loudly out of your nose, and little did you know, he thought every little thing that you did was absolutely adorable, he just didn’t know how to tell you. “I’m taking you to the nurse no matter what, so if you want me to carry you, I will.”
Oh to be carried by him, to be held in his arms… or maybe being piggybacked across campus, your arms wrapped around his shoulders, holding onto him so tightly… “No, I’m fine. It was just a little twist, they’ll probably laugh at me for coming in with something so small. It probably isn’t even anything.” He hummed softly, his arm moving away from your waist and you felt pathetic for noticing the lack of warmth immediately. The electricity that you had felt coursing through your veins was suddenly gone and it was strangely sad for you.
The lack of his support also meant that your weight was now completely on your ankle and you could feel just how badly you had twisted it. You winced at the pain that shot through your whole leg, and you either weren’t good at hiding it, or Seungmin was just really good at picking up on everything. Whatever it was, he quickly stepped in front of you, squatting down and hitching his arms around your knees to lift you onto his back. “You’re so stubborn.” He grumbled, and it’s like the added weight of you being on his back didn’t faze him at all. In fact, he started walking faster towards the medical building, a man on a mission, and being so close had the butterflies in your stomach going absolutely crazy.
“Try not to walk on it.” The nurse said as she finished wrapping your ankle that had swollen to twice its size by the time you got to the building. “Go straight home and prop it up on a couple pillows, put some ice on it to take some of the swelling down. Use the crutches. If it hurts, take some ibuprofen and that should help with the pain.” You nodded along to everything she was saying, but you weren’t exactly listening, focusing more on the way Seungmin was staring at you intently, and you didn’t know if the expression on his face was one of disappointment or annoyance.
“I’ll make sure she doesn’t walk on it and that she keeps it propped up. Thank you.” He spoke for you, bowing his head as he got up from the chair that was on the opposite side of the room. Grabbing your crutches, he walked over to you and helped you up off the bed, the paper underneath you crinkling loudly with every movement. “Do you need me to carry you again?” He asked, and you rolled your eyes, taking the crutches from him and situating them under your arms before doing your best to keep your balance and move forward at the same time, which was quite difficult.
“You can go to class, I’ll be fine.” You said, and while you’d love to get ahead of him, it was too easy for him to keep up with your little hops. “Seriously… This is so humiliating, I just want to be alone. Stupid fucking rock.” He sighed softly beside you, but he didn’t leave your side, always at the ready, his arms shooting out instinctively to catch you when you looked like you were wobbling a little bit. “Seungmin…”
“What kind of best friend would I be if I let you walk home by yourself on crutches?” He quizzed, but it was a hypothetical question that you both already knew the answer to. “I’ll make you some ramen too so that you don’t have to get up. I want you to keep your leg up, like the nurse said.” He continued, it felt like he was scolding you. “I’ll go to your classes and get copies of the lectures that you missed today so you won’t be behind.”
“Thanks dad.” You pouted, but kept staring at the ground, not just because you were sulking, but because you couldn’t seem to walk straight with the crutches if you weren’t watching your feet at the same time. You weren’t even sure how long you were going to need them for, but within the first 20 minutes, that’s all it took for you to dread them for a lifetime. Your underarms hurt and strangely enough, having “3” legs to walk on was more of a hindrance than anything.
“I can come over after my classes. We can watch a movie? I’ll keep you company while you’re healing since you can’t really do anything else.” Watching a movie with Seungmin… just the two of you… maybe it would turn into cuddling… maybe he’d kiss you… You could fall asleep on his lap while he runs his fingers through your hair. It would be a dream come true, it would be the perfect evening. “I’ll even bring snacks. I’ll buy your favorites.” It’s like he was trying to bribe you to say yes, not that he needed to.
“Sure… Yeah. As long as I can pick the movie.” You looked up at him with a pursed lip smile, the lack of attention on your feet had you stumbling a bit, and he quickly caught you again. He didn’t even have to look at you to know you were wobbling either, he just reached out to steady you before dropping his arms back to his sides. “This sucks…”

“Don’t you have baseball practice?” You asked tiredly as you leaned against his shoulder, curled up under a blanket on your couch, the movie playing on the television was just background noise at this point. “I don’t want the rest of the team to get mad… You’re their best player.” That wasn’t even you trying to hype him up either, he truly was the best player on the team. That’s why it was so hard for you to believe that he wanted to spend most of his free time with you. He was the all star player, every girl on campus had their eyes set on him, yet he made it seem like he only wanted to be around you. It just didn’t make any sense, and you wondered if maybe he was doing it out of pity considering you were less popular, well, you weren’t really popular at all.
You always caught the glares that the girls would send your way when you walked by with Seungmin by your side, and if you listened hard enough, you could almost hear them shit talking you, as if you were in some way forcing Seungmin to hang out with you. “Eh, they can handle one practice without me.” He said nonchalantly, stretching his arms above his head before getting up off the couch. “You hungry yet?” He didn’t even wait for your answer before walking to the kitchen and raiding your cabinets, pulling out two ramen bowls. “What are you gonna do when I go back to my dorm?” He asked, as if trying to make small talk while waiting for the water to boil in the pot on the stove.
“Probably gonna run a marathon, do my laundry, use the stairs in the building for the first time since I’ve lived here. Ya know, goof around a bit.” You teased, but when you turned to look at him, you could tell he was less than impressed at your answer and he didn’t find it as funny as you did. “Jeez, you’re such a sour puss sometimes. Obviously I’m going to listen to the nurse and keep my leg propped up. I’ll just be here, all bored, probably starve while I watch YouTube videos on my phone.” It was like you couldn't give up the chance to be a smartass, and Seungmin knew that, so he just rolled his eyes as he turned his attention back to the water that was bubbling on the surface now.
“Don’t you have any friends that can spend the night or something to help you out?” He questioned, and you weren’t sure why, but the way he said it made it seem like he didn’t really want to be there. Maybe you were just reading into things, you did have the tendency to do that, but you thought that maybe he would offer to stay to help you. Not just that, but you were sure that he knew well enough that you didn’t really have any friends, not ones that would willingly give up their nights to help you.
You don’t know why you were so upset honestly, but your bottom lip trembled as you looked around your living room, trying to look at anything but him. “Just forget about it. You can go.” You said softly, hoping that he’d hear you and he’d just leave without another word. The oven clicked off and you heard soft footsteps carrying him from the kitchen into the living room where you were sitting, your breath held, but then he came into your view, his eyebrows creased with worry as he looked at you. If you weren’t so upset, you’d laugh at him, but you turned away from him instead. “Seriously, you can leave. I can do this on my own.”
His eyes closed, a loud sigh blowing through parted lips, hot breath hitting the side of your face as you continued to avoid looking at him. “What’s wrong? Look at me…” His voice was below a whisper, although it was tinged with annoyance rather than the worry that masked his features. “I’m making you something to eat, what more do you want me to do? I’m trying to help you and you’re trying to kick me out. I don’t know what else you want from me.” It was evident that he was getting more and more irritated the more he spoke, and the fact that you still hadn’t looked at him was only upsetting him more. “Fine… Do it on your own.” He muttered, standing up straight and turning on his heel to head out the door.
Sure, simply explaining to him why you were upset probably would have been better, but you were too upset to talk to him about it. It’s not like he was unaware of why you would be upset at the comment he made. He knew damn well that you felt less than adequate being his friend when he was so popular and he was quite literally the only friend you had. He always tried to invite you out to hang out with his friends and their girlfriends, but you knew they didn’t actually like you, they simply tolerated you because for some reason, Seungmin liked having you around. To them, it didn’t matter that the two of you had been friends for so long. He was popular now, he was lusted after by every girl on campus, he was a star… and you were a nobody. He might have a bunch of friends that would help him if he were to get hurt the way you did… but you had nobody, nobody but him.
Kicking him out didn’t seem to prove any kind of point though, it only made you feel lonelier. You had absolutely no one now to help you, and while you knew that Seungmin was only a text away, you were sure that after the way you treated him he wouldn’t feel as inclined to come over and help you. You were truly on your own, and you didn’t know how you’d do anything without his help. You were adamant though, you didn’t need him, you didn’t need anyone. You were sure that he had better things to do anyway. You weren’t going to burden him. It seemed like he didn’t want to stay around and help you, not when he was asking if you had other friends that would be able to do it… Maybe he was trying to get rid of you.

“Thought you were going to be over Y/N’s all evening?” Felix asked as soon as Seungmin walked through the front door. Felix wasn’t exactly popular either, not in regards to being a jock, he was more into computer games that occupied most of his time. Both guys were sure that if they hadn’t been paired up as roommates, they wouldn’t even know of the other's existence. Yet, since becoming roommates almost two years ago, they had gotten just as close as Seungmin and you were. “How’s she feeling by the way? Is she okay?”
Felix was the only one that had been told of your accident earlier in the day. He was the only one that Seungmin thought would care. He knew that his baseball friends weren’t all too interested in you, and if it were up to them, you wouldn’t be hogging all of Seungmins time in the first place. “I don’t know, man. She got really upset and kicked me out… I thought I’d be able to tell her today.” Seungmin dropped down into the empty seat at the table that Felix was sitting at, running his hands over his face before dropping them down onto the table with a heavy thud. “Maybe she just doesn’t like me…”
Now if there was one thing that Felix knew, it was about Seungmins crush for you. It wasn’t even a crush anymore, it was more than that. Seungmin was head over heels in love with you, and Felix heard about it every single day. He had only found out about it when Seungmin had invited you over to his place for a bit, the first and last time it ever happened, and Felix had been there. Once you left, Felix had told Seungmin that he thinks that you’re really pretty. It almost turned into a full blown argument as Seungmin shouted about how Felix couldn’t have you and that you were his. That’s when it had all been laid out on the table, and that was about five months ago. Felix thought that Seungmin would have told you by now, but apparently he hadn’t. He couldn’t understand why though, it’s not like you didn’t like Seungmin back. That was painfully obvious… Did Seungmin not even notice? “You’re blind… Aren’t you?” Felix commented, and Seungmin lifted his head, staring at Felix incredulously. “She likes you… Even I can see that. I don’t know why you won’t just tell her, it’ll probably make the both of you feel better to just get it all out.”
“Dude, she doesn’t like me. If she did, she wouldn’t have kicked me out.” Seungmin retorted, and Felix felt like he was talking to a brick wall. How could Seungmin be so clueless? “I was literally in the middle of making food for the both of us! It’s like she got mad or something and just told me to leave. I asked her if she had any other friends to help her when I wasn’t there… Maybe she had her boyfriend coming over and what I said reminded her and she needed me to leave before he got there… She never told me about a boyfriend though. I feel like I would know about something like that… She would have told me…” Felix was absolutely dumbfounded by how stupid Seungmin sounded right now. Even Felix was able to figure it out immediately after knowing what Seungmin had said, but for some reason, he was just unable to put it all together.
“Dude… She likes you… Just tell her!” Felix said, trying his best to not get annoyed with Seungmins lack of critical thinking. But Seungmin shook his head, pushing away from the table, eliciting a loud groan from Felix whose head fell back to stare up at the ceiling in complete disbelief. “How long are you going to drag this out, man? The longer you wait, the lower your chances are. If she thinks you don’t like her, she might just move on. Think about that for a bit.”
And he did, Seungmin did think about it. He thought about it a lot. The thought was raising hell in his brain no matter where he was or what he was doing. He couldn’t sleep, he couldn’t focus in class, he couldn’t even focus during practice. His mind was preoccupied with thoughts of you potentially being with someone else, and that pissed him off. You couldn’t be with anyone. You were his.
That’s why he started looking up what to do online, which probably seemed stupid to anyone else, but he couldn’t just outright tell you that he was in love with you. He wouldn’t be able to handle the rejection if you didn’t like him back. He couldn’t take Felixs word for it because, even though Felix was his friend, he was also the type of guy that thought that a girl simply smiling and waving at him meant that she liked him… Which was crazy.
In the end, he found a lot of ideas, but only one seemed like it would actually work. It was also easier to pull off than any of the other ideas he came across online. This one would be foolproof. If you didn’t react, it meant that you didn’t like him and he would finally be able to move on, although he wasn’t sure how long it would take for him to do that. If you did react though, he would know that you did like him, and he would finally be able to tell you. He hoped that it worked, it seemed like it would… He just really wanted it to work out in a way where you would truly be his in the end.
///
It had been two weeks since you kicked Seungmin out, and while you hadn’t completely ghosted him, your replies to his texts were rather short. You were still upset, and your mind was racing with the thought that he was slowly but surely trying to ease you out of his life. There were so many girls that wanted him, having you around was probably ruining his game with all of them, and, while you weren’t clingy to him by any means, the two of you were always around each other, and you were sure that made it hard for him to get with anyone else.
Still, his birthday was coming up soon, and you were finally fully healed from your little accident two weeks ago (you cared for yourself the entire time, even when Seungmin asked if you needed help), and you were sure that he’d have another party like he had every year before. You wondered if you were still invited though, and while you didn’t want to be the first person to text him, you thought that maybe sending him a quick Happy Birthday message would open the door for him to tell you, or at least ask you to come to the party.
“Hey… Happy Birthday, Min.” You quickly sent it, and like any other time you texted him first, your stomach would twist up in knots as you awaited his reply. Love was crazy in the way that it made people feel. It was like that feeling alone took control of all your other emotions and made them come out at times when they weren’t necessary, and it made them come out too strong… Which is why you kicked Seungmin out in the first place. You loved him so much that you were scared of him not loving you back so you tried to get rid of him completely. It was so stupid.
“Hey! Thanks! You still coming to my party tonight, right?” Did he actually want you to come or was he just asking to be sure that you weren’t? Dammit… He always made you feel so conflicted. Maybe if you just told him that you liked him, you could just get it over with, get the final answer and whatever comes next… Well, that’s up to fate. Maybe… Maybe you could tell him tonight… At the party. If he said no, you would just leave, run home and cry under your blanket and avoid him for the rest of your college years. It wouldn’t ruin his party, he had so many friends, they’d probably all get together and laugh at you anyway. You just needed to get it off your chest once and for all. You couldn’t keep hiding your feelings, you couldn’t keep going about your days like you were okay with just being friends… You needed to let him know.
“Yeah! Yeah, I’ll be there!” You texted back, and you already felt your heart speeding up at the thought of standing in front of him and telling him. The sweat was beading up on your forehead and your hands felt clammy. You didn’t even know what you were going to say, but you knew that trying to follow a script would only make you more nervous and you’d get tongue tied and end up rambling. The words would come effortlessly once you stood in front of him, the way they would fill your brain whenever you were around him, just waiting to be unleashed upon the man that you had loved for longer than you could remember. It would happen tonight… You’d tell him everything, you’d tell him how wonderful you thought he was, how funny he is, how he makes your day better just by smiling in your direction. You’d tell him that he’s the only person you’ve been able to ever think about or see yourself with, that you’ve always liked him, that you’ll always love him no matter what. He needed to know… And you needed your answer.
The outfit you had chosen for the night was dressier than what you’d wear to any of the other parties… If you had ever been invited to any other parties… And it was surely much dressier than what you usually wore. A floral dress that sat just at the middle of your thighs, the color accenting your skin tone and framing your figure in all the right areas. It was the last thing you put on after doing your hair and your makeup, because honestly, you knew that if you looked at yourself in the mirror you’d get even more nervous and decide not to go at all.
You wanted to catch his eye though, you wanted him to know that you could be just as pretty as the other girls that chased him around campus… You were worthy of his attention, and maybe even his love if he wanted to give it to you. It was hard not to feel anxious though, as much as you tried not to be. You were worried that you’d end up sweating off your makeup which you had spent much longer on than usual because you wanted to look perfect for him. It wasn’t too late to back out, just change your clothes and walk into the party in the regular clothes that you always wore when you went to his birthday parties… But this one was important… This one was the difference between spending the rest of your life pining over your best friend or finally being able to be his.
The music from the bar could be heard from outside the front doors, and you knew that it was most likely packed inside with all of his friends from baseball, and most likely all the girls on campus that were trying to hook up with him. You didn’t want to be surrounded by them, and you weren’t quite sure how you’d get him alone for even a second to tell him what you wanted to, but you were there and you were hellbent on telling him tonight, so you took a deep breath and walked into the bar, trying not to make eye contact with the people who seemed to stop and stare at you with wide eyes.
It wasn’t hard to find Seungmin, he was in the center of the room, a beer in one hand and his phone in his other hand as he chatted with some guys that you remember seeing on the field when you went and watched him play. He was preoccupied, and it was only the beginning of the party… You didn’t have to tell him right now… You could at least enjoy yourself for a little bit before potentially breaking your own heart.
“Hey! Glad you’re here!” The voice came from behind you, and when you turned around you saw Felix, a wide smile raising his freckled cheeks and creasing his eyes. “You look good by the way! Have you gotten a drink yet?” He had to shout above the music, and while you had heard his last question, you were too focused on the compliment he had given you right before. It sent a wave of heat rushing through you as you became more aware of his eyes that were looking you over. It didn’t seem disrespectful, but no one had ever looked at you that way, it had you just a little bit flustered.
“Uhm… No… No, I just got here…” You stammered, and he nodded, placing his hand on the small of your back to lead you through the crowd towards the bar, standing quite close to you as if you’d get lost in the mass of people if he wasn’t practically connected to your hip. “I’ll just have a water for now… Thank you…” You told the bartender, and sure, it might seem a little lame to order water at a bar, but you didn’t want to be drunk when talking to Seungmin, he might not take you seriously.
“Staying sober tonight, huh?” Felix joked, and you let out a small giggle as you shook your head. That wasn’t the plan entirely, but you didn’t want to start off your night with shots or anything either. Plus, you had walked for a good bit to get to the bar, and the last thing you wanted to do was rehydrate with alcohol. “Have you gotten to see Seungmin yet? I know it’s probably hard to get to him, he’s been being pulled in all different directions by a bunch of different people.”
You hummed softly, it would be harder to get to him than you thought, but you were adamant now. You’d have him to yourself, even if it was just long enough to tell him that you loved him. “It’s okay… I’m sure he’ll come find me when he has the chance to.” You said, just loud enough for Felix to hear you. “You wanna go grab a table? I walked all the way here and my legs are kind of tired…” You offered, and he quickly nodded, his hand once again finding the small of your back as he led you to one of the empty tables, a little further from all the noise.
“It’s so loud in here… I don’t know why he chose to have his party at a bar of all places…” Felix said, finally able to lower his voice just a little bit. You knew exactly why though, and you were sure that his new group of friends had some kind of say in it. Seungmin would probably be beyond drunk by the end of the night, and that had you more than slightly worried.
“Hey! You finally made it!” Seungmins voice boomed over the noise, and your head instinctively whipped up to the sound of it. He froze for a split second when he looked at you, but his adams apple bobbed as he cleared his throat, running a hand through his already sweat-dampened hair as he chuckled. “I’m gonna go dance, you both gonna come out?” He asked, and while you knew Seungmin was a wonderful dancer in private, you had never expected him to dance in public, especially around all of his friends.
“Sure…” You said, feeling a little shy. Maybe he wanted to dance with you? It’s not like you hadn’t been close to him before, he gave you piggyback rides often, but the music that was playing right now was surely not something that you’d dance to in any other way than sultry… Maybe even a little seductively.
You could feel the heat rising to your cheeks as you slowly got up out of your seat, trying not to lose Seungmin in the crowd as you followed behind him. The heat quickly dissipated when you saw his hands grab the waist of another girl, pulling her against him, their bodies swaying to the rhythm of the music. Nauseous was the only way to describe the way you were feeling. It was like you couldn’t breathe and the walls were closing in on you. You wanted to cry and your entire plan shattered right in front of you as you watched the man you were in love with move so sensually, so provocatively with another woman.
“Y/N…” Felixs voice came from behind you once again, clearly seeing the same thing you were, and you simply shook your head, turning around and rushing to the exit, hoping that some fresh air would at least help you breathe, and being away from everyone on campus who already thought you weren’t good enough to be with Seungmin allowed you to finally let out the tears that you had been holding in. “Wait! Y/N!” Felix called out, breathless from racing after you, his arms wrapping around your waist to keep you from running off again. “It’s okay… It’s okay…” He repeated, but it’s like the sentiment had the opposite effect on you, and you let out a sob, turning around resting your forehead against Felixs shoulder as you continued to cry.
“How do I stop loving someone, Felix?” You whimpered, and you heard him sigh, the sound almost as sad as you were. “He’s too good for me… I shouldn’t have ever loved him… I’m so stupid, Felix. I was… I was gonna tell him tonight… I’m so fucking stupid.” One arm wrapped tightly around your waist as his other hand pet over your hair, quiet shushes attempting to console you. Did Seungmin even know that he had just broken your heart? Would he even care if he did know? You were just friends, it was foolish to fall in love with him, now you were fully aware of that. His friends would never accept you, and although he had never striked you as the type, maybe his popularity with his friends meant more to him than his almost lifelong friendship with you.
“It’s gonna be okay…” Felix once again said, his hands moving to cup your cheeks, a soft, sympathetic smile gracing his angelic features as he wiped away the tears that fell from your eyes. “We don’t have to stay here… I can walk you back to your place or… we can go grab something to eat? You look so beautiful, I wouldn’t want your outfit to go to waste.” He was trying, and you respected that, you appreciated it, but there was no way that you’d be able to keep your mind off of what you just witnessed long enough to pretend you were okay in a restaurant.
“I just want to go home…” You mumbled, and Felix nodded as he started walking beside you. He didn’t ask any other questions, he didn’t say anything else. He was a great friend, and whoever was lucky enough to be with him… You knew he’d make them feel loved and supported no matter what. He was a wonderful person, he truly was an angel. “Thank you, Felix… Really…”
///
“What the fuck!?” Seungmin was seething as he paced back and forth across the floor, his hands shaking as he ran them through his hair. “Why would you take her home!? You fucked up my whole fucking plan!” Seungmin continued to shout at Felix who sat on the couch, just as pissed off as Seungmin but for an entirely different reason. “I thought we were buds!” His palms slammed down against the kitchen counter, his forehead pressed against the cabinets as he tried- and failed -to calm himself down.
“Oh fuck no! Don’t pull that shit with me!” Felix threw it right back at Seungmin, his own voice booming, the deepness of it sending vibrations through the air. “You tell me you love her and that you want to be with her, and then you pull some shit like that! This isn’t my fault! If you would have listened to me in the first fucking place and just told her how you felt, everything would be fine!” Felix was breathing heavily as he defended not only himself, but you as well, even if you weren’t there to hear it. “She was going to tell you that she loved you, but instead, she got to witness you attempting your stupid fucking plan! And guess what! It didn’t work! She’s devastated!”
Seungmins head lifted from the cabinets, his face peeking around the corner as he looked at Felix. “She loves me? She told you that?” He whispered, just needing to be sure that Felix was being 100% honest right now, because if he was… well… he had just made the biggest mistake ever and he wasn’t sure if he would be able to fix it. Felixs eyes rolled as he nodded his head, although the movement was quite snarky, but he had a reason to act that way. Felix had told him from the beginning that you liked him, but Seungmin didn’t want to listen, he wanted to find out in his own way… Everything was backfiring. “What do I do? I… She probably doesn’t want to see me… She’s probably so upset… Fuck!”
Felix shook his head, lounging back on the couch as he let out a humorless chuckle. “I ain’t helping you anymore. I already tried, and you went and did your own fucking thing. Figure it out yourself now.” The response definitely had Seungmin fuming again, but he didn’t have time to hash things out with Felix for another hour. He needed to check on you, which was easier said than done. You probably wouldn’t even open the door for him, and he wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, but he really wanted to apologize and tell you that he loves you, even if you might not feel the same way anymore.
~
It had been three hours since Felix had walked you home and made sure you got in your house alright. He had given you a hug and waited out in the hallway, making sure to watch that you not only closed the door, but that he also heard it lock before he walked away. In those three hours, the only things you had managed to do were change out of the uncomfortable outfit that you had chosen for the stupid party, clean your face, and then go right back to crying as you curled up on your couch.
Your phone vibrated on the arm of the sofa, and you were pretty sure that it would be Seungmin, and for the first time, you were hoping that it wasn’t. You didn’t have anything to say to him, you didn’t even know what you’d say to him. You were still devastated, and you didn’t want to talk to him at all. When you lifted your phone, it was a relief to see that it was Felix, but the relief was short-lived when you read what he had sent you.
“Seungmin is on his way over to your place. Look… He’s like, madly in love with you, it’s almost disgusting. You’re all he talks about, and he didn’t know that you liked him back, so he was trying to test it and make you jealous by dancing with another girl… Don’t worry, I called him out on his bullshit. BUT! I think it would be so funny to flip the tables and pull some shit on him too… I don’t know… But if you don’t want to see him or if you’re still upset, you can always text me, alright. I just wanted to let you know.”
Seungmin did that… To make you jealous… Because he was… In love with you? It made absolutely 0 sense in your mind, but the brain of a hormonal college man worked far differently than yours did. But to flip the tables on him, you would have never thought of doing something like that… not if Felix hadn’t put the idea in your head. You would have been so hung up on the fact that Seungmin did in fact love you, that you would have let everything else slide and gone running into his arms. You knew exactly what you were going to do though, and you were going to love every second of doing it. “Thanks Lix! I’ll let you know how it goes!” You quickly texted back before relaxing on the couch, mentally preparing for when Seungmin came to your door.
~
Just slightly faster than sprinting, that’s how fast Seungmin was running. Along with nighttime came a slightly chillier air that burned his lungs whenever he took a deep breath, but the lights illuminating the windows on your building were like a beacon calling to him, pushing him to keep going just a couple minutes more, and then he’d finally be there.
It was almost 2 in the morning now, and he wondered if you’d even still be awake. Had you cried yourself to sleep? He was the cause of it if you had, and his heart broke at the image in his mind, you curled up in your bed, the covers tucked under your chin as tears streamed down your face and soaked your pillow. He would never forgive himself for hurting you, especially when he could have gone the simpler route and just listened to Felix. He would have already had you if he had done that. He felt stupid, so damn stupid.
Bursting through the lobby door, he went straight to the elevator, his pointer finger slamming against the call button, already impatient after only 5 seconds of waiting. Why did you have to live on such a high floor? Just as he was about to turn around and take the stairs, the bell rang out and he rushed into the little box, his finger once again repeatedly pressing against the button to close the doors and then the number of your floor. The elevator was moving at turtle speed and it felt like this was all being done on purpose, just to make him wait longer to see you.
When the doors finally opened, he ran to yours, his hands coming down hard against the wood. Other tenants on the floor rushed out of their rooms, eyes wide, the urgent sound of his knocking made it seem like there was an emergency, and to him, there was. He felt like he was about to lose the love of his life, but to other people, he was just a madman, and honestly, a nuisance.
Your door flew open and he was met with the most beautiful, heart stopping scowl. He had wanted to kiss you many times before, but now he wanted to kiss you way more. “Christ, Seungmin. What do you want?” You hissed, your own head looking around your door frame and shooting an apologetic look to your neighbors before your eyes were back on him, your glare so cold it sent chills down his spine.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry I did that, and I’m sorry I upset you. I thought… I don’t know, that it would make you jealous and maybe you’d argue with me and I’d just, I’d just kiss you and tell you that I loved you and we’d laugh about it later. I didn’t think it would hurt you, I didn’t think it would make you cry, and I’m really… really sorry.” The words were spewed out so fast, it only took him about 25 seconds to go from the first word to the last. It took him just as long to catch his breath after saying so much without even a breath in between.
“It’s whatever, Seungmin. I don’t even care… I mean… Your stupidity really opened my eyes and showed me that there’s someone out there who wouldn’t hurt me like that to try to show me they love me.” Someone else… There was someone else? He blinked a few times, and even though it was clicking, he didn’t want it to make sense, but he knew that the only other person that you had talked to tonight was Felix. But you couldn’t be talking about Felix… right? There’s no way in hell that he’d let something like that happen. “You can go now…”
“No, you’re not kicking me out again!” He screeched, realizing that he was still standing outside of your apartment and then pushing his way in, closing the door behind him. “Call me stupid, hate me, ignore me… Do whatever you have to… Just… Don’t go to someone else. Please. I love you, I’ve always loved you. Your cringy little nicknames that you give me and all your little quirks and habits. I love all of that. I love the way you always sit front row at my games and hold up the little signs that you made yourself and cheer for me… Even when I’m sitting on the bench. You’re beautiful, and I’ve never felt so fucking idiotic in my life… I don’t want you to be with anyone else… Who is it? I’ll kick his ass for taking you from me.”
Your head shook as you crossed your arms over your chest, your eyes closing as you let out a slow sigh. “Why does it matter who it is? He didn’t take me from you anyway, you were too busy trying to make me jealous and grinding up on some other girl to even notice that he was with me almost all night.” You retorted, and Seungmin saw red, his fists clenching at his sides. It was Felix. His nostrils flared as he turned on his heel without another word, ready to go right back to his place and beat the shit out of Felix… That is, until he heard you laughing. He paused, his hand on the doorknob, turning his head to look over his shoulder at you.
“What? What’s funny? You think this is funny?!” It was a mixture of anger, jealousy and sadness that had his voice rising in pitch and volume as he stared at you, but your laughter only got louder as your head fell back, and then you slowly walked over to him, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the door. “Seriously, Y/N. I know it’s Felix. I’m gonna… Fuck! This isn’t funny! He knows how I feel about you… I can’t believe he’d do some shit like this… I’m fucking-” Before he could finish his sentence, your lips were on his, and he was shocked to say the least.
When you pulled back, it was like his head was spinning, but in a good way. His cheeks were burning and he knew that you could probably see the blush forming under his skin. “Looks like you’re the one that gets easily jealous… It’s cute… You get so angry, like a bear or somethin’... Gonna start calling you boo boo bear now.” You were teasing him… But that meant it was all a joke… You didn’t like Felix… You still liked him.
He let out a little growl, playful as he gripped onto your hips and backed you up against the nearest wall, your eyes sparkling in the light that hung on the ceiling as you looked up at him, your cheeks pulling up in a cheeky smile. “You’re a smartass… You’re lucky I love you, ya know that? Now tell me you love me too, come on. I came all the way over here, was pranked viciously by the girl I love… I deserve to be told that I’m loved.” He pouted at you, a look that he reserved solely for you, but you gave him a quick peck before wiggling out of his hold and running to the other side of the room, your giggling contagious as he chased after you. “Just tell me you love me! Come on!”
“You have to catch me first!” You squealed, dodging him every time he got close to you, but he knew that you’d run out of breath soon, and he was just waiting for his chance to pounce. He continued to chase you though, loving the sound of your fits of laughter in between heavy breaths. Then your movement got slower, and you dropped down onto the couch, your hands held up in front of you. “Time out real quick!” You were breathless, strands of hair clinging to your sweat beaded forehead, but he didn’t follow your rules, and he pounced on you, pinning you down onto the couch, hovering just a few inches above you.
Silence hung in the air, the only sound was that of his racing heart in his own ears and your panting from beneath him. It had his mind wandering, but he needed to stay focused, he needed to hear you say it. “I won…” He could barely get his voice above a whisper, his throat dry from exerting so much energy. “Do I get my reward now?”
Your hands moved up to brush the hair out of his face, lifting yourself up just slightly to press a kiss to his lips, it had more meaning behind it though, it was deeper, it lasted longer, and he melted into it, his own lips moving against yours in perfect synch. Once your head fell back against the pillows, you looked almost drunk, your eyes slightly hazy, your pupils dilated as you looked up at him. “I love you, Seungmin… So much…” You murmured, and at those words he finally let himself collapse, his head resting against your chest, listening to the thrum of your heartbeat as your fingers pet through his hair. “Now you’re my boyfriend boo boo, right?”
“Mmhm… and you’re my girlfriend… g-... my girlfriend goo goo? No? Give me some time. Either way, you’re mine.”

///

///
///

Man, I’m bouta go on a rant, so bear with me, but oh my god!
I love the internet, I really do. It’s wonderful, it’s great, it allowed me to meet and talk to so many amazing people… BUT ONLINE SHOPPING FOR LOCAL PLACES LIKE WALMART AND TARGET AND KOHLS AND HOME DEPOT AND LOWES… ITS FUCKED UP A LOT OF SHIT
We can’t have a pool in my yard anymore, and it’s still not warm enough to actually put up the pool even if we could, but I wanted my siblings to have something super fun to do today while we cooked out on the grill and stuff since today is like… technically the first official day of summer (according to me, it’s fucking hot)
So I’m like “alright, I’ll just get this!”
Tumblr media
Because ya know, it’s nostalgic for me and it was super fun and I ASSUMED that ya know, one of the local retailers in my area would carry this absolute fun fest. My dad, 17 years ago, was able to just run out to the store the day he saw the commercial and pick this shit up, bring it back home, and BOOM, we had a water slide in our backyard!
BUT NOOOO
Online shopping has caused big items like this to not be carried in the actual stores because apparently they need more shelf room that isn’t even filled???? Like??? I went to Target AND a SUPER WALMART, and all of the shelves where something like this could be kept were just… empty??
And when I looked online, it was like “not carried in stores”. Not just for this slide, but every slide like it. And you can’t even get it shipped to the store same day, it takes 3+ days to ship it to the store and a week to ship it to my house.
So… sorry for rambling and ranting
But god damn
Online shopping for local retailers, and the bankruptcy of places like Toys R Us has completely ruined the ability to just run out and say “yeah, I’m gonna surprise the kiddos with a super cool 10ft tall waterslide”
Now they’re stuck with some fuck ass dinosaur sprinkler which, sure, they enjoy it… but it aint the same 😔😔
