Castle Kit Windle Part 5: Spiral Stairs

To be able to build that perfect castle you need spiral stairs. And we don't have them in game. But, thnx to The Pancake and @mizoreyukii WE DO. (You need to have the modern version in game to make this medieval version to work, so follow the link and download it. Also, read more about how to use)

The steel version is not really fitting the Castle Theme. I made a wooden version already, now you get two versions in stone. Sturdy, old pixel stone.

The first version is plain and windling. If you have used the spiral stairs before, you know they only exist for low wall height. Well, I made versions for medium and tall also. Same animations, so the sis jump a bit. BUT WHO DOESN'T when running in stairs? They look cool anyway, me thinks :P

I also made a version with walls, for your sims who are afraid of heights.

They also hide the jumping. You can stack them, but you need one floor tile so sims can go further.

Racing to the top!

Place the stairs on the corner of a house, place a door to the platform, and they work perfect as a corner tower, with stairs.

I also made decopieces for these stairs (or to use for other stuff, of course). They are a bit slimmer than the other Castle Kit decopieces, and already put together to handy solutions for the spiralstairs.

3/4 circular tower walls with or without window.

There are also a fence cap 3/4 piece and a tower cap 3/4 piece with roof. Seen in big pic below

Castle Kit Windle (Part 3+4) - Build Set for Castles: Deco Pieces for All Wall Heights

In the original Castle Kit set there was a plethora of deco pieces, to make castle walls, crenelations and towers. @zx-ta made a set of conversions, but I also needed them for medium and tall walls.

I also edited the items. The windows that some of the decopieces have are now see-through. (Windows are not real windows, but you can place a real window on the wall behind it and the light wll come through.

These are still a bit tricky to place, but with MOO and <alt> you should solve that. I will also post some castles and rooms to show how they can be used.

Round piece with or without window. Inner corner. Outer corner, round or square. Wall piece with or without window. All 3 wall heights.

Deco towers. I made a few more sizes, you can make more with T.O.O.L or in game size cheat. I made one tower cap without roof.

Deco fence parts.

I also made a real functioning fence out of the deco fence bits.

Would it be possible to make a closed portcullis as a window (basically so I can put it on a wall in a pool for an underground passage/sewer.

Castle Kit Windle (Part 2) - Build Set for Castles: Doors & Windows

The original windows and doors in the Sims2Store "Castle Kit" was a bit limited. I needed more. More sizes, more variations. Here are the results.

Windows:

I needed nice and practical but small windows. Glass was expensive. Look at old castles, few and small windows. They were also cold, the castles, so big windows were RARE.

Two of the windows are edits of SDA church set windows. Four are edits of the original window in the set (the one with bars). The smallest narrow window is liberated from the sets decopieces.

Doors:

Smallest size of doors fit on lowest floor height. The variations: - Door with Thin Arch - Thin Arch - Door with Wide Arch - Wide Arch - Closed Portcullis (behave like an arch in game) - Open Portcullis

The sizes:

Low, Medium, Tall, Taller, and for Portcullis also a Taller Narrow size.

Finally, a deco Drawbridge.

It is a deco object - you can make a functioning one if you place it on a platform.

All-in-One Bathrooms

I modded a shower to make functional all-in-one bathroom. It gives hygiene and bladder at the same time to your sim and I removed privacy so there can be other sims around. This function is only for these 3 objects, it doesn’t affect other showers. It’s my first modded object for TS4, so send me a message if you spot any problem. The meshes are from TS3.

FUNCTIONAL MEDIEVAL FRIDGE

This is in fact medieval shelves that are empty, and that you need to fill in with food to make it look like a real meat safe. Your sim can use it as fridge even if there are things on it it will work. (Pic 7)

A lot of slots as you can see in pictures 1-3-6-7 :

These are real slots, no need to place objects with the cheat 9, however, you may need to activate bb.moveobjects to have full access to all the slots available. You can put almost every decorative (food) on it as I put smal and medium slots on it.

You can combine them just as for the fridge, you can also (and I advise to) combine the deco shelves to the fridge rather than using only fridges to create the meat safe.

Il s'agit en fait d'étagères médiévales qui sont vides, et qu'il faut remplir de nourriture pour qu'elles ressemblent à un vrai garde-manger. Votre sim peut l'utiliser comme réfrigérateur même s'il y a des choses dessus, cela fonctionnera. (Photo 7)

Ce sont de vrais emplacements, pas besoin de placer des objets avec le cheat 9, cependant, vous devrez peut-être activer bb.moveobjects pour avoir un accès complet à tous les emplacements disponibles. Vous pouvez y mettre presque tous les objets décoratifs (nourriture) car j'ai mis des emplacements petites et moyennes taille
