i don't think this is what angela meant when she said the upcoming ep/eps were "biblical" but bobby wandering through the desert with amir was very much giving jesus in the desert for 40 days / 40 nights fighting temptation from satan. not even in a literal sense (because i don't think bobby was ever really tempted to leave amir, not in any sense that he actually genuinely considered it), but more in the sense of... wandering through the desert literally fighting the metaphorical demon of his past ??? like idk idk idk how to say it but it's making me fucking insane just thinking about it
