Another for the Bingo Card! I’ve got a Camp Half Blood AU square and had a blast getting to figure it out.

I think Desha (now human for obvious reasons) would be a daughter of Apollo. His aspects of truth, prophecy, light, and healing all resonated well with Desha’s character, as with the cheeky sassy undercurrent that he has in the stories (and his danger, like in the Achilles stories).

Spades, on the other hand, definitely belongs to Athena. I entertained Nike for a minute (victory) but his analytical and strategic thinking better plays to Athena’s skills and strengths (I thought about a darker angle, Hebe or Hecate as an angle on clones doomed to age rapidly. Literal children in men’s bodies, walking dead men, disposable, but that made me too sad).

it’s surprising because I haven’t been able to write or read very much in like two months but this seems to work so I’m not going to question it

To celebrate May the 4th, I finished the plushie I started on Cody Day (2.2.24)! Also claiming for my @clonefandomevents 212th bingo: anniversaries

I quite enjoy how he turned out, particularly given that I was designing/adapting the pattern as I went. He's about 28cm tall, made from felt with five different specifically applied stitches.

Next, I'll tweak the pattern some more then go back to my original scheme of creating Fox. (I read a lot of whump fics, so I need to be able to give them both hugs to make up for it.)

Lost

Hunter’s hand slides into his, squeezing, and Crosshair pretends that the way his grip tightens is for Hunter’s sake, not his own.

They watch in a subdued, reverent silence as Omega carefully takes the goggles from Wrecker’s hands, putting them in her bag and turning to make the trek to the Archium with Batcher.

It seems fitting, Crosshair thinks, that the last piece of Tech will get to rest here, in a place that could have been their home. He doesn’t want to let him go. He doesn’t know how. (The hands are still around his neck, and he can’t shake them free, no matter how hard he tries.)

Facing down the brother behind the mask of CX-2 broke something in Crosshair when he was on Tantiss. The truth isn’t something he knows how to share, so it festers deep inside of him, the knowledge that Tech is alive. It’s not a truth to which he can give voice, not when it means admitting what Tech did to him there. Crosshair only wants to forget, but with the Empire searching for Omega, forgetting is not a luxury he has.

Crosshair tenses at the contact, and Hunter can hear his breathing hitch, but he doesn’t otherwise react, his hand steady as he paints. But he needs to be closer, and he shifts, throwing a leg over Crosshair’s, draping his arm over his back, and resting his chin on his shoulder to watch him work.

Crosshair huffs out an amused breath. “You know I’m busy, right?”

“I know,” Hunter answers, nuzzling Crosshair’s neck and just inhaling his scent.

Hunter had never expected that a supply run gone wrong could lead him and Crosshair to where they are now. He’d wanted Crosshair back from the moment he heard from Echo that Crosshair had been rescued from a prisoner transport. No, that’s not true. He’d wanted Crosshair back from the moment they left him behind on Kamino the first time. But finding alone time with just each other is harder than they’d anticipated.

He knows Crosshair, and he doesn’t need to hear the details to get a full picture in his head of what must have transpired. Even after all this time, they can still read each other. They just need some time to adjust to the way each other has changed.

“Crosshair –” he starts, and he doesn’t know what he’s planning to say yet. Just – something.

He doesn’t get the chance to finish.

Crosshair shoves him back against the tree trunk, and his mouth is on Hunter’s before he even registers what’s happening.

It’s been a long time since Hunter has seen Crosshair, over a year since they left him on Kamino. But now they’re together again, and he’s just as conflicted as he was then. Crosshair left, but then he turned on Empire, and then they got him back. Or rather, and then he came back to them, Omega in tow. Hunter’s glad to have them back, but he doesn’t know what Crosshair wants from them. If he wants anything. It’s the if that hurts the worst.

Echo has no idea that his new team doesn’t speak the Vode’s version of Mando'a. Or, any version for that matter. It causes a bit of a misunderstanding.

-My, likely only, submission for @clonefandomevents clone culture week! Day 1 was surface culture, and the prompt I chose from it was language. Echo introducing the Bad Batch to clone culture is just such a sweet concept to me.

Of course they weren't allowed to cook. The daily menu they were given was created to provide them with everything they needed, and the longnecks weren't happy when someone medled with it.

But sometimes, Calico didn't feel like eating the same thing for the fourth time in line. Or maybe someone had missed the dinner. Or they woke up in the middle of the night, hungry.

The older clones sometimes brought them snacks from other planets, and mixed with their rations, it made something really tasty, most of the times.

As long as he managed not to set their bedroom on fire.
