#One thing I was not expecting about this quest was just how much Sethos was GOING THROUGH IT#It really is funny that this poor dude was put in a 'who gets to be possessed by a divine spirit' contest against the guy who literally#looks exactly fucking like him and is also a fucking academic cop and he pulls up with like 1/2 of his friend group ready to kill#for him#and like you say it could have been so much worse if the two most badass women in Sumeru had also showed up#I hope he gets accepted into the weird family/polycule/friend group/co-workers/enemies association that is Sumeru#he needs some fucking assistance#I was always gonna like this quest because Cyno is among my favorite characters and I like it when he is in things#but I wasn't expecting to come out liking Sethos at all. Now I look at him and see a pathetic wet cat who needs some warm milk

I will be honest guys, the Red portrait of king Charles is gorgeous asdfghjkl
it's a bad portrait. Like. Objectively. It does the opposite of what's intended. It looks like the painter is insulting him. If it was in a contemporary gallery with no context you would see it immediately as the ambivalent criticism of Charles's reign, how he fades into the overwhelming red background as a tiny little figure, small and insignificant, insufficient for the clothes he's wearing. It reminds my of Goya's portraits, how they were so 'realistic' that they ended up making these great figures look pathetic to the viewer. So these are our rulers?
the sheer novelty. the surprise and shock, the kinda cunt it's serving for no reason. I. I love it. It's an incredible portrait by Jonathan Yeo. By the sheer fact that Charles, the man, is impossible to portray as greater than man because he's just such a nothingburger of a dude. So a portrait made to make him look huge and interesting made him be swallowed in red brushstrokes. The butterfly, that reminded me immediately of " we will all laugh at guilded butterflies", draws more attention than him. It looks like an omen. It looks like a warning in all this red. Something is not right here.
This is the best royal portrait ever 10/10

#visibly Disabled person here (or at least I am whenever I'm in my chair which is sometimes but not always)#I find the idea to be far too general but I do think it would apply in many cases at least for me#If I had all of the accomodations that I needed then a lot of what are qualified as disabilities for me would no longer be#'disabling' as it were. But you can't accomodate yourself out of chronic pain or your body actively shutting down and failing to work.#I would not personally view my autism or hypotonia as a disability if they weren't disabling. but my lupus and the other thing?#that's gonna be disabling regardless of accommodations.#tbh I think that this is question is built on a misunderstanding of the social model. but those are just my thoughts#and I'm only speaking for my personal relationship with disability.#I don't think the statement is ableist tho. I think it's misinformed and in many cases wrong but not ableist

Me, going fucking through it: I am about to do something so risky for my future that it could fuck me up forever if it goes badly. It's the right thing to do but that doesn't make the consequences stop. At the same time my health is getting worse for the first time in years and I'm worried that I've finally reached the end of my time. But the anticipation is the worst part. I've got so much going for me and that's what is terrifying. I can't fuck up now, but the only options available to me are 'fuck up' or 'live with the guilt'.
Terry McGinnis: That's SO not schway. You'll get there though. Doing the right thing is always more important regardless of the consequences and I'm proud of you for making that decision. And even if you fuck up, there is always a way to make it up to yourself and the world. You'll deal with the consequences and still be here despite it all. I know from experience. The twips of the world will do what they do, it's up to the rest of us to make it better.

Barbara or Stephanie and for completely different reasons. I like Stephanie the most from both a personality and role in the story angle, but Oracle had such a massive impact on my life that I don't think I can call her anything but my favorite.
Also, I would like to point out how fucking funny it is that Bruce (batman himself, one of the most popular comic heroes of all time) has garnered less than 5% of the vote at the time I'm writing this.

#probably Dick. Just given like...everything. It could also be eldest child stuff but like...come on#I could see an argument being made for Cass in the modern era (though not her earlier appearances) but it's probably Dick#I get why people like to say it's Jason but when you actually read the stuff...yeah Jason was never the favorite at any point#though I do think that adds to the dramatic tension so I get why it's a headcanon/people like to say that.#whoever said Steph I am so sorry but you are simply wrong. that grown man hates this teenage girl if he feels anything about her at all#he's gotten better over time but remember that he made her robin basically just as an attempt to get Tim back and that he did not#even put up a memorial for her after she died. Plus I would argue she never really counted as Bruce's kid at all. they've never seen#each other that way.#Duke is also Bruce's specialest boy but he's not the favorite child. I do like that framing though.#and in what little content we have of them together it's very clear that Bruce really likes Duke. I don't doubt more content would provide#more evidence but I still think it's gotta be Dick.

i think that Damian and Steph have an unspoken agreement to back each other whenever they fuck up no matter what because they both know they’ll get enough crap from everyone else already on top of beating themselves up over it.
Oh, Steph got bored during a stakeout and blew her cover doing something dumb? It was stupid mission anyway and it’s your own fault for pairing her with someone boring like Drake.
Damian got angry and maimed someone who is now in critical condition? Okay… and? He had a dumb face, of course he got stabbed? He’s not even dead so what’s the big deal?
Dick and Babs definitely support them too, just not as vocally because they’ll be accused of favoritism. It’s not favoritism, it’s counteracting Bruce’s favoritism for everyone else. (It’s not favoritism from Bruce either, it just really seems that way from Steph and Damian’s pov. He cares about them both but they are the reason he’s getting grey hairs.)
