THE TIME HULU CENSORED THE WORD BITCH WHEN IT WASNT CENSORED IN THE SHOW
The rage I felt.
Why do people need subtitles to watch a show in English? I don't get it. What is wrong with the ears of young people?

i wanna thank steve yockey so much for making such a casually queer fantasy show. there have been a few of those these past couple of years but i am still in awe every time. i loved both the inclusion of struggle with your sexuality but also the total acceptance of queerness in modern times, from jenny the butcher to the cat king. even edwin's disguises always being a woman being treated as something totally normal is such a delight to see. i just love love love how delightfully queer this show is

When the anti "LGBT propaganda" law passed in Russia, all of you were going insane and cared. Give Georgia the same energy. If you can have sympathy for our oppressors on the basis of them being queer, you should keep the same energy for us, if not more.
If this law passes, every Georgian queer person I know is so severely fucked, myself included. If you make jokes about "being illegal in several countries" you better fucking care about the countries you're apparently illegal in, or going to be illegal in.
Make sure to spread this around. This is important.

Why you can’t use stud if you white: A TED Talk
Differences in black masculinity and white masculinity. So like in ye olden days, lots of butches presented as men because it was safer for them to pass, yet that wasn’t really true for studs who were targeted regardless of gender, because racism. Homophobia and shit has always been so rampant within the black community because of respectability politics. Being Queer was seen as white. Black people, but more specifically black women, really didn’t get rights at the same rate as whites. Any sort of deviance was punished even more aggressively.
Studs deal with over sexualization, except with added fetishization. We are seen as naturally more aggressive than our white counterparts, because black masculinity is seen as more aggressive, even in queer spaces. One of the other terms for Studs is AG, which stands for Aggressive, a reclamation of what we have always been called, now used for confidence .
I’ve linked a good doc to the stud experience.

Trauma doesn’t have a time limit. I repeat trauma does not have a time limit.
And expecting people to just get over their grief and trauma is stupid.
Anon stfu.
I was reading Magneto 2023 and I don’t think it’s realistic how much Magneto’s trauma still affects him. It seems like he would have gotten over it by now.
magneto’s whole family was murdered in front of him when he was a child then right after that he was put in a concentration camp for two years then when he escaped and had a kid with his wife a group of people who hated mutants burnt down his house and his very young daughter burned to death idk how him having ptsd isn’t realistic to you

If I got sent into the pre-cellphone past:
First get fabulously wealthy, Back To The Future Style
Create and sell a line of shampoos, lotions, and other similar products whose gimmick is specifically that every bottle has an entire sci-fi short story included on the label in very small print for people to read when they're stuck in the bathroom and bored (again: pre-cellphone. There was a lot of shampoo-bottle-reading)
Several short stories would include ridiculously outlandish little details-- the Tesla tunnel death trap, the Trump presidency, remote learning during the lockdown-- that are just written off as sci-fi silliness.
Time marches on. There's now a subreddit about people who collect vintage bottles from that one weird short story shampoo brand, who swear up and down that it's telling the future

I think "they don't even have X" is one of those memes that's actually funnier in its original context than in anything that's been done with it subsequently. Like, in its original context, this is a joke about a man who has lived his entire adult life alone in a swamp cold-reading the atmosphere of a corporate workplace and deciding that appealing to the receptionist's sense of working-class solidarity is going to get him in the door, and it fucking works.

This is my boyfriend and his ex-husband who’s like sort of also my boyfriend
I want you guys to know that I am fully and exclusively dedicated to furthering my EdIzzy 'trial' separation to Steddyhands throuple pipeline agenda. The ONLY dynamic that makes sense for them is 'I am so so in love with you but we are driving each other so so crazy.' Meanwhile Stede Bonnet is a beautiful man who manages to homewreck from both sides of the bed and look like an angel while he does it, and it is exactly what Ed and Izzy's twenty years itch needs. This is a Pina Colada Song type ass situation only when they meet in the middle there's Stede. With the Pina Coladas. Stede and Ed are together in every universe but Ed and Izzy are DIVORCED in every universe and it's kind of an unstoppable force meets immovable object scenario.
