hi so… i need to get real for a second, sorry to all 5 of my new little fandom followers waiting for the next page :’),, just want to take a moment to appreciate something:

i just went through a major change in my living situation. now, i can’t be too specific about the context of this, because i haven’t even been able to process why i was suffering so much in the previous situation and whether or not this change is good. let’s just say that, since this change, i’ve found much more time to explore the things i love and spent less time hating myself

of course, with this change, i had to say goodbye to a lot of good things: namely my family’s dog, who has by far been the most positive influence on my mental health. she was quite literally the reason i got out of bed in the mornings (i couldn’t fathom letting a dog suffer because i wanted to sleep in all day). when i lost her, i also left behind that part of my schedule. started spending more time being tired. there’s something about the burst of energy from a dog waiting to be fed that starts your day off right. that dog did so much for me; she would quite literally shove me off my ass if she saw me acting down until i got up to play with her.

needless to say, without her i fell back into those bad habits. even though my life had changed so drastically and i could now do the things i not only enjoyed, but LOVED without anyone telling me off because the sight of me being content enraged them, i couldn’t find any reason to. i missed my dog.

so, recently, i adopted a ferret……

tortellini has brought that energy back into my life. god, she’s a bit of a handful, but she’s a really sweet girl. i’ve only had her for a little over a week, but… i love her so much already. i’m gonna spoil her absolutely rotten.
