I keep thinking about A'mos taking long soaks in the blood pools of his temple. While it's still warm, he'll sink to the bottom, surrounded by it's soothing embrace, almost like he's being created all over again from the flesh and blood of Bhaal.

Man, I am once again realizing how much lineart used to limit me when drawing. I've started painting sketches right away lately and I feel like I have so much more controll and room to add on things.

I mean, I still clean sketches up a bit but it's nowhere near the same level as I used to do. Really happy about finally letting it go (at least for big paintings, there is still plenty of use for lineart in other cases), I used to get really upset that as soon as I line the work it loses the same feeling it had as a sketch, usually turning out stiff an lifeless bc I can't fix it afterwards.

I'm learning. 😔

I'm never ascending Gale in this playthrough BUT That doesn't stop me from wondering what kind of ending they would've gotten if he did ascend. Which works as a corruption ark with Dr. Vrach's story of embracing humanity and rejecting his divinity as a bhaalspawn. Godhood was pretty much his life goal pre tadpole, though, maybe less of a corruption and more of a return to the original plan. Also I finally figured out his outfit, only 2 more redesigns left, yeehaw

Eh, I'll post the camp version too, I just think it's neat. I took this opporrtunity to make sort of a ref for him as well. A baby ref, if you will.

(translated text) "Why are you holding the baby by the leg?" "So that everyone can see what I can do" Another one of my tavs, featuring the gith egg baby he's raising with Lae'zel. He's a ranger(9)\rogue(3), a green tiefling that believes he's a goblin because he was found by one in the woods as an infant and raised in their tribe (even tho he has horns and a tail, they just thought he was a child of inbreeding\ugly). His adoptive mother lovingly named him Goblin Junior but at age 10 he outgrew every single other goblin which led them to assume he's some sort of mutant. He fell madly in love with Lae'zel becuase he too, assumed she was an unusually tall goblin <3. Which made the grove cnflict all the more complicated for him. I love his raggy ass pants and the shirt (now barely a croptop) he outgrew like 5 times but he won't get rid of it until it disintegrates into dust. Also he can't read. It doesn't really add to the story but I like to think abt Gale having an aneurysm trying to teach him how.

I started a ref sheet for A'mos a while ago mostly to figure out his outfits and sorta nail down how I'd draw his face.

This is his casual\rest\chosen of Bhaal lineup, all pre tadpole bc that's the version of him I think the most about. Though, he'd dress the same post tadpole minus his Bhaalist armor. As a paladin, he's a walking tank in it, not very agile but he doesn't need to run, if you see him, it's already too late.

Wish there were more war hammers in the game, I had to stick to a weaker one bc he just doesn't look right without it.😔🍑

I really wanted to paint something with my first durge A'mos bc I've been thinking about him a lot lately and I finally figured out his outfit.

Redraw of that one "interview with the vampire" shot but with my durge and Gale instead.

I remember reading a few posts pondering if sorcerers could theoretically let Gale feed on their magic to soothe The Orb instead of the magic items. Weave straight from the so(u)rce(rer), think of the romance, the tenderness. .. ... . ... ... one could only dream.

My durge is actually 10 wizard(necromancer)\2 wild magic sorc bc I wanted to see the sorcerer dialogue options for roleplay purposes but man do they come off so cocky(for his character), Dr. Vrach would never. He's a scholar, he craves conversation with his peers, he'd kill to talk about his craft with someone on equal ground, he has not passed a single intimidation check despite having proficency, all he wants to do is read book, animate dead, kiss wizard and collect every single alchemy ingredient that can fit in his pack.
