Star Trek: Voyager Barge of the Dead
What are you still doing here? I released you to Sto'Vo'Kor. You can't free me until you free yourself. I don't understand. You never did. I did everything that the ritual told me to do. I came back for you. Forget the ritual. It's meaningless. Meaningless? I died for you! No, you didn't. It's not your time. You still don't understand this journey. Then tell me! Request denied. What do you want? Who are you asking? You. Kahless. The tooth fairy. Anybody who will tell me what I am supposed to do! You are the only one who can answer that question. Choose to live, B'Elanna. You've taken the first step of your journey. And what about you? We will see each other again. In Sto'Vo'Kor. Yes, in Sto'Vo'Kor. Or, maybe, when you get home.

please don’t take away my old man fucker card for this because patrick stewart is a very attractive man but patstew as picard has zero degrees kelvin levels of sexual energy there is no universe in which that man fucks. biggest plot hole in st picard wasn’t any of the borg stuff or the time travel or whatever it was the existence of jack crusher as jlp’s biological child conceived through regular coitus

thinking about lon suder and tuvok, and kes and tuvok. how suder and kes are associated with helping flowers grow. how tuvok takes it upon himself to guide them through meditation. how all three struggle with their own darkness and violence. how tuvok is surprised when kes tells him how much he means to her (“but then i started working with you, and i didn’t miss him so much anymore”), and is just as equally surprised when suder tells him the same (“i’m going to name it after you: the tuvok orchid”). how we see tuvok mourn them both.

dreaming about unit 3947 having to go back to their life as a maintenance unit, fighting a war that feels meaningless to them now, mourning the prototype and becoming overly fascinated with their new plasma conduit that leaves them reminiscing about b’elanna’s compassion and fighting their programming to search for her in the stars— with prototype unit 0001 always in tow, hoping for its return to life, thinking about what it means to give life and what it means to truly preserve it, how that choice extends to some & not others, recalling the weight of her in their arms, against their body… they loved the builders, who wanted to destroy them, where b’elanna wanted to create life…

There is so much to be said about the unhealthy codependency the Voyager crew have, but I still can't get over how much love was expressed by these characters for each other. And right from the beginning! The first moment we see Tuvok and Janeway alone in show premiere is Tuvok's face softening into a smile as he approaches her. We see Janeway fretting - because she met Harry's parents. Because she never seems to know the crew on a personal level and wants to. B'elanna calling Harry 'Starfleet'. Tom intervening for Harry at Quark's bar and Harry seeking out Tom even when everyone corners him about it. Chakotay taking the time to reach out to the officer who transported him safely to Voyager. And it's this constant thread throughout the show that they will always choose each other. Doesn't matter how many years pass or what life they're offered they'll erase timeline after timeline to give each other one more chance. Just a bit more time. Maybe this time they'll all make it.

Nothing we've been through with the Kazon would lead me to believe they're trustworthy. I can't imagine making a deal with them.

My contribution to Threshold Day!
I wanted to make something with felt scraps I had from other projects, and not buy anything new. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! All of the thread (except the orange) is satin so it’s nice and shimmery. I wish the purple showed up better in photos, though.

Thinking about whether Picard and Sisko would have killed Tuvix. Since the original Tuvix was a combination of the security officer and some guy, the closest equivalent on the Enterprise would have been Worf and Wesley, or Worfsley. I think Worfsley would just ask Picard to kill him so it wouldn't be much of a moral dilemma.
On DS9, the closest equivalent to Tuvix would be Quark and Odo, or Quodo. This also wouldn't be much of a moral dilemma, as Quodo would be the most irritating being in existence. I think Sisko would kill him without hesitation, even if he wasn't sure it would bring back Quark and Odo.
