After a week or two of being disabled, the Care For Gaza gofundme page is back open for donations and I'd like to try and help get the word out about that. They have their own pretty substantial presence over on Twitter but not so much here on Tumblr.

If you donate €10 (roughly $11 USD) to the GFM and reblog this post with a screencap of your donation, I'll draw any Pokémon or My Little Pony of your choice and reblog you again with the art.

Please make sure your donation is public, and in the space where you can write words of support, please include the phrase "Thank you for your hard work and kindness." This is just so that I can have a quick and easy way to independently verify your donation.

When you reblog, include a screencap of your donation with the phrase visible, and tell me which character (an MLP or a Pokémon, please!) you would like me to draw. You can also link to a wiki page/visual reference for the character if you like. One character per person please—higher donation amounts don't stack for more characters, but they are certainly appreciated.

In the unlikely event that this blows up and more people donate than I can draw for, I may have to cap the number of drawings I can do. This post is not meant to be a binding agreement for commissions, but a visible and interactive way to encourage people to donate to a good cause. The drawings are just icing on the cake that I hope will show my gratitude.

Sorry to be Magic posting on main but the lights went out at my local shop on Commander night and we just Kept Going and I thought it was kind of funny

for a little more context the store is in a mall and I think a breaker kept flicking off because someone was using too much power or something. Only ours and a couple other stores kept losing power but the mall as a whole was fine otherwise

Ell, the Va-Missian

Common Va-Missian clothing is very loose like a tabbard with usually not much underneath, to allow ample wing space when they need to fly. They tend to bundle up when it gets could though, and no one really feels like flying anyways.

Comic progress update: printed out my script for episode 1 and started drawing Lil thumbnails for how I want the pages to be laid out. I think this is working way better than the alternative of just doing this with a pdf.

So far we're at like 28 comic pages on script page 5 of 29. Yeah idk how many pages this will be lol

From Dwale's Museum Guide:

"While the Va-Missians appear wingless, they can excrete an elastic mucus from the slits in their sides and anchor then to the "tassels" of skin that hang from their elbows and wrists. This mucus then solidifies into a rubbery condition; not hard like rock, but not flimsy like paper either. Just strong enough to allow them to glide and keep themselves airborne for as long as they usually need. These wings are not permanent, of course. They erode away in a few hours or so, but can be re-applied if the Va-Missian has enough sustenance to do so."
