I studied anatomy both academically but also self-taught.
To practice anatomy I can recommend many ways: life drawing, gestures and studying from manuals! I've used various books, the ones I recommend most are these:
This series of manuals is really useful, each book contains a specific aspect of anatomy!! Muscles, structure, three-dimensionality... and fat!
Last but not least, a really helpful way to learn anatomy is PORN. YEAH. Drawing nsfw helps you learn anatomy very quickly, especially regarding perspective and dynamism!!
