Happy 1st gotcha day Snowflake!!!!!
Your improvement in just one short year never fails to amaze me. You went from being neglected, abused, sick, and in constant pain to being the brave, sweet, and more outgoing birdie you are today. I am so proud of you and all that you have achieved since I brought you home.
Here's to many more years of love and growth. I love you baby boy

just curious about some bird advice: if your bird is being moody (biting, hissing, won't stay in one spot etc) do you put them back or do you kinda just let them do their thing outside the cage?
@romance-with-bread
Hi there! i don't know when you sent this i apologize if it was a long time ago
so i think it kind of depends on WHY they are biting or hissing. I know March does this when he's tired, in that case put them back in the cage and leave them be for awhile so they can rest. They can be acting this way for other reasons as well. Are they hormonal? Is something scaring them? Are you bothering them? Sometimes they just don't want to interact with you at the moment and you have to respect that. In that case you can either let them do their thing without you intervening or you can put them back and hang out with them while they are in the cage. You just sitting next to them and not necessarily talking or physically interacting with them is sometimes enough.
TLDR: It kinda depends on why they are acting up, and you should use your best judgement on whether they would benefit from being put back or just being left alone. i hope this helps!!!!

Birblr Poll : 3 strange things that spook your bird
Smidgen ‘roared’ in horror at a tiny purple grape today. Please tell me 3 things that your birb is weird about
1. Grape. 2. Anything moving slowly on wheels. 3. Kids

Thanks! As soon as I posted this I went to go switch pippin and Sammy back to their cages and put Percy in for floor time but decided to hold him a little bit like I usually do with all the pigs at least once a day. Percy almost immediately laid down on his side on my lap and took a little rest for at least 30 minutes, every so often getting up to Change positions and would lay back down. This is the first time he or any of the other pigs have done this. Would him bonding with me change his ability to bond with another pig? Will he get more lonely since I work most days if he is bonded to me? I’ve never had cavies before so I don’t know. @luckycavy117
Guinea pig question
I currently have three young (about a year each) male guinea pigs that originally shared the same cage. A few months ago I noticed on of my pigs, Percy, was limping a little on one of his hind legs and quickly took him to the vet, but in the day before I could get him in I separated him from the other two to avoid any further injury. It turned out that he hadn’t hurt his leg, but the other two pigs were biting him on the butt and I suppose bit too hard into the muscle causing some pain in his leg. They have remained separated since then and Percy is fine now, but their cages are literally smack next to one another so they can still see each other. They don’t seem to really care that the others are there. I’ve tried putting them in their play pen together (all 3 at once) with a divider in the center. But even with the divider covered they still try to get to each other and growl. So now pippin and Sammy go in for a few hours a day to the pen and I clean their cage. Then they go back in and Percy goes in. My question is should I consider getting another male pig to be Percy’s friend? I don’t know if he’s sad or lonely but he might do better with a friend I know they are social animals. I also do not have much room to add another pig to Percy’s cage so would have to get a bigger one and I don’t have much more room for a bigger cage. I’m just asking for general opinions and advice thank you!
