"A Dog's Purpose" is a heartfelt debut novel, following Toby-Buddy in discovering his confusing and unique ability to have many lives. "Toby" was born as a stray dog, learning to fear humans in every way. When he was brought into shelter, his mother abandoned him and his only purpose was… to play with the females. He was brought to the world again as a golden retriever and, haunted by his past, leaves his mother. Adopted by a family, learning to co-exist with humans and named Bailey, he loved Ethan dearly. When he died, he was shocked to leave Ethan and realized "he" was a female dog! He/She soon realized his/her new purpose was to be police dog and save thousands of lives. When He/She was injured at work, he was re-born again. Through gruesome days and unloving owners, he finds himself back to Ethan and was named "Buddy". I was highly impressed of this debut novel and Bruce is a true dog lover! I might read other of his books and I highly recommend this! Rating: Now that I think of it, why did I rate the 2nd book 5 stars?? ★★★★⯨ 4.25

Hani and Ishu Guide To Fake Dating is a cute, refreshing LGBTQ+, family drama middle grade for this month, told from the perspective of two teens who can't be more different ❤ Meet Hani―Bengali and Muslim, one of the most sociable, smart girls and is the class head. She's also identifies as bisexual but her friends denies it. ⚥ Meet Ishu―also Bengali, the most academically intelligent, “throws tandrums when denied”, and unhelpful (in a rather snarky way). The two are polar opposites. Hana: her parents likes to use big, political English words and her father has Muslim meetings that sometimes interfere with her daily life. She has Irish friends who just can't understand her. Ashling LITERALLY SPOTTED ISHU IN THE CORNER OF THE IMAGE when she was at a Bengali party and then whined in a racist about why they couldn't come... Dee is the on softer and comforting but still: Hana's friends forced her to sit with a random dirty guy when they were with their boyfriends. Lmaoo Is there is something wrong with me? I hope not. Ishu: Ishu's view of the world is quite pessimistic. On the other hand, she has a lot of family drama to deal with and sometimes I wanted to reach out and pat her shoulders. Her older sister is planning to drop out of medical school to marry an Indian engineer, her family is stressing out. She also wants to prove to her parents she's on the right track, but how will she stand a chance to become head girl? Most of all, can she find a way to become ~╭───────────────────────────────────────╮~ When Hana's 'friends' say she can't be bi, she calls out Ishu for help－Ishu will be Hana's fake date, and Hana will use her influence to get Ishu to be elected head. Everything will go as planned, right? Maybe not. Especially when the two develope real feelings.
