I signed the petition y’all! Thank you for including me in the crew :)
I’ll be honest: I’ve never seen Our Flag Means Death.
But just seeing the reactions of the fandom, the hope and effort they’re putting into this show, has made me want to contribute. I can see how much OFMD matters to you guys. Your posts about it are both devastating and immensely touching.
This is my little addition to the #renew as a crew tag <3

There's a house on my way home that has one of those Home Depot 12 ft. skeletons and they haven't taken it down since Halloween, just dressed it up in holiday-appropriate wear and of course for June it's all about Pride so please allow your dash to be blessed by 12 ft. Pride Skeleton
EDIT: Oct. 2023 Apparently this house is now for sale. Godspeed Pride Skeleton.
I was embroidering this when I got the cancellation news and I wasn’t able to look at it without getting sad for a couple of days… BUT I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!!

Yeah, OP is just not right. You can color him in and give him gloves (thanks to the posters) and he doesn’t need to wear the steamboat hat or anything like that.
As for the name Mickey Mouse, remember that trademark is NOT the same as copyright! And his name is Mickey on many public domain posters as well. It’s free real estate.
TLDR: You can color him in and call him Mickey Mouse. You will NOT get sued.
Reminder that "Mickey Mouse" is very much still trademarked and that literally ONLY the original 1920s black and white variation of him is in public domain! If you draw or put this character in any projects, DO NOT use the name "Mickey Mouse" or color his shorts red/etc because your butt WILL still get sued!
Calling him something else not affiliated with Disney and keeping him grayscale is how you stay lawsuit free! I for one will be referring to this mouse fella as either "Willie Mouse" or "Michael Rodent" or "Mikey Rat" or maybe even something like "William Squeakers" whatever works!!!
Supernatural had the opportunity to do something great. To send a message of love and validation to a whole community. Not only to the part of the community that liked their show, but to all of us. But instead they decided to pander to the people, who never had to fight for their representation.
I support #TheySilencedYou, #TheySilencedThem and #TheyWillNeverSilenceUs and I'm in awe of all of you. Of your eloquence, passion, coordination and decisiveness. And I feel like your message goes beyond this particular TV show and the CW.
It's about protesting a pattern of disrespect towards otherness in Mainstream Media. It's about demanding meaningful, unmistakably queer representation, that enables discourse and furthers understanding in a heterogenic Audience. It's about asking Networks to not only hire diverse staff but to also give them the freedom to tell their stories the way they want to. It's about telling creators to own up to the inherent messages they leave us with in the end.
