Here’s what’s gonna happen: you’re gonna prepare the dragon meat, soft and tender, just how it should be. Season it, use the salt and pepper in my bag. Set aside about 50 ml of red wine, the same stuff we got from the abandoned castle. You’re gonna use that in the basting process. Now what you’re gonna wanna do next is sear it for about a good 30 seconds on each side until each is browned, leaving a juicy pink interior for flavor. My guys are working on the tail soup, so don’t worry about it.
My new headcanon is Lalo got Eladio a car with a frunk full of money because of Nacho.
Here Lalo hesitated because he thought of the consequences of Eladio not liking Nacho (Max).
To make sure Eladio likes Nacho, he got to kick up to the boss to “put a smile on Eladio’s face”. He might even thought of the “frunk” idea when he was working on the front of his car.
This scene with Nacho holding the box of money really gives me the vibe that they’re a package deal—accepting the money means accepting Nacho.
That’s why Lalo introduced Nacho right after giving Eladio the car with money, and he smiled after Eladio pulled Nacho to talk, knowing his showmanship worked.
Lalo was obviously nervous when Nacho was talking to Eladio, which was very atypical of him—further confirming that Nacho has become important to him and not easily disposable like all the others who are not Salamancas.
