It was Maid Day today yesterday a week ago so I got struck by inspiration to draw the worsties, and it ran away from me into a whole AU where they’re coworkers at a maid cafe. She’s a med student & this is just a part time job, and this is his depression job while he gets his life back together. He needs something he can be workaholic about to forget what it’s like having a personal life and personal issues. He’s actually the accountant, but the new hire janitor (Izutsumi) doesn’t show up for half her shifts and is a sloppy worker, so he gets the extra work of doing her job on top of his because he’s undervalued and overworked. Of course, janitors also have an uniform to keep the aesthetic cohesion as they go about cleaning the place, of course.

Senshi’s the part time cook you only see slivers off, he’s kind and warm when you do see him and have a chat but most shifts he’s in and out the kitchen without a trace. Laios and Falin are regulars because Falin and Marcille are besties & in the same med school, Laios accompanies Falin as she visits her friend at work and gets hooked on the food. Chilchuck has to remind Marcille to work instead of chatting with Falin for an hour, and next thing he knows she’s distracting him from work too. That’s it that’s the AU. Inspired by this idol AU fanart a bit <3

Reader walks into the maid cafe and breaks something by accident and can't pay, so they have to work it off instead. Of course reader is inexperienced at being a maid, so they're lucky that they have so many pretty ladies who are oh so willing to help them.

Yelan and Ningguang helping Reader with their frilly little uniform, Beidou and Arlecchino helping reader with their balance while carrying a tray, Lisa and Jean teaching reader how to propperly interact with customers, and all of them ready to throw down if someone tries to slander and complain for no reason about Reader.

And when you finally get to work your first shift at the cafe, let’s just say you amass a hoard of fangirling customers who swoon over how cute you are <3

Do the other maid genshin women get protective? Yes, yes they do. Expect them to try and combat the swooning customers so that they keep their precious Reader safe.

Vanoé AU heavily inspired by Maid Sama (Maid Café AU)

Vanitas la Lune had always been a diligent student. He was the president of the student council at Pandora Academy, and he was known for his diligence and hard work. He was always the first to arrive at school and the last to leave.

But what no one knew was that Vanitas had a secret. He had a part-time job as a crossdressing maid at the maid cafe Chouchou L’amour. He had taken the job to help his family out financially, but he was determined to keep it a secret. He was sure his classmates would think less of him if they found out.

One day, his secret was discovered! He had been caught by a popular boy from his school, Noé Archiviste. Noé had seen Vanitas in his maid uniform, and he had been intrigued. He went to the cafe and had been pleasantly surprised to discover that Vanitas was a maid.

Noé decided to keep Vanitas' secret, but he also decided to visit the cafe regularly to mess with Vanitas. He would come in, order something, and then gently tease Vanitas about his secret job. It drove Vanitas crazy, but he was too embarrassed to tell Noé to stop.

But will these visits lead to Vanitas and Noé developing into an everlasting friendship? Love, even?
