I was in senior high when i first encountered the term "Akoiromantic". Mad respect for my socsci prof who referred to LGBTQ as LGBTQIA+ in the lecture (he raps the term real fast with a deadpan face). That was like in 2018 and for a conservative, catholic state, I thought that wow my professor was very progressive.
my professor taught the difference between Aro and Ace to an unenthusiastic class of STEM students but he did it anyway.
As a dumb kid back then, who has zero awareness about the aro and ace spectrum, I was so baffled when I was reading about the microlabels. I thought, wow these are so hyperspecific.
Fastforward to current time, the term Akoiromantic has returned to bite my ass because now, I IDENTIFY AS ONE
So yeah, i look back to my senior high days and all i can think is, All hail that professor in senior high.
We need more people like him.

I prefer using aroallo to alloaro personally because for me, being aromantic is the most important part of my identity so it goes first. If someone asked me what sexuality I was and I was comfortable telling them I'm aromantic, I would say that I was aromantic before I told them I'm bisexual.
I'd rather be out as 'just aro' than 'just bisexual' (I say, whilst mainly out as bisexual because everyone ignored that I told them I was aromantic.)
Also I find it easier to say aroallo? Like it flows off the tongue better imo. (feel free to add which you prefer & why. I think it's interesting how both are used pretty interchangeably within the aroallo community)
