went to the farmer's market this morning. have purchased an absurd amount of fresh produce that i may or may not get through before it all goes bad.

i saw frozen banana slices for $2.50/lb the other day. when fresh bananas are 60¢/lb. get out of here. just for them to be peeled and sliced?? i understand that not everyone has all the time in the world to prep ingredients but presumably these are for smoothies, right? if you peel a banana and take a butter knife close your eyes and give the cutting board in front of you a couple of good whacks you've cut perfect slices to freeze for smoothies. so help me god don't let me ever catch a person buying frozen banana slices.
