Connection Description: Emre and his brother both grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. Emre is the older of two and they were both raised by loving parents. Emre was more of the quiet, intelligent type, more interested in documentaries, taking things apart, solving puzzles, than being popular but he would have always looked out for his brother when the time called for it. The reason his brother moved to Kismet Harbor is UTP, but Emre has been in town since January of 2021 when he realized he needed a fresh start.

Everyone suspects ZEKAI GURAY of at least one of the cardinal sins, but in Nevada, the worst sins are bound by blood and this is HIS: THE ASENAS. HE rolled the dice TWENTY SIX YEARS ago as a KOLEKSI. Under the desert sun, they claim the act of GUITARIST. They’re often mistaken for EMRE BEY before those crimson colored glasses slide down their nose. ZEKAI better get busy living, or they’ll get busy dying by the ripe age of TWENTY-SIX. There are no second acts in a marked life, and it’s measured out by the melody of MONSTER BY IMAGINE DRAGONS.

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY [TW: ILLNESS, VIOLENCE, DRUGS]

From the moment, Zekai was born it was more than obvious his birth was no because his mother wanted another child, in fact, it was to make sure her first son always had a donor on site. At the age of two, he had gone through various blood tests to see if he would be a good match for everything that could possibly go wrong with Safet and if his father hadn’t put his foot down and demanded the tests be done and over with... who knew what kind of path Zekai would have actually ended up on. But, because of his father’s demands that put more pressure on the youngest Guray to be the son that could “be an actual” man.

Of course, all the resentment Zekai held was never aimed towards his brother. He knew it wasn’t Safet’s fault for being sick and in fact he probably would have done anything to make his brother healthy again so he didn’t have to hear his mother whine over and over about her precious baby boy. He spent most of his teen years, staying out late, getting into fights, and doing things to act out towards being completely unseen in his house. His father did everything he could to train Zekai to be the best and some of those trainings would leave the young Guray black and blue for weeks which he would simply shrug off and make the “you should see the other guy” comments. There was one hobby that Zekai picked up that he could say was his and his alone and it was his guitar. It was the one thing that kept him out of his head when it got too dark.

Zekai took the path of a Koleksi, being the one to collect debts by any force necessary and being someone who initiated people into the Asenas. He does whatever he can to be the “man” in the family and takes that pressure on his shoulders. Once you become a part of his inner circle, you are fiercely protected by him and he is not someone who should be crossed. He has been working in his position for the last six years and kind of expects the worst in everything that comes in his direction.
