ೃᰰ࿔synopsis- Athena’s cute habits while performing that make the boys break character
ೃᰰA/N-thank u for 300 followers!! I appreciate it that u all like my work 🥰 sorry that it’s a short one
Tumblr media
𝟅𝟈 Athena might be a bit imitating on the outside, but she’s a little cinnamonroll on the inside and she’s shows it a lot on stage
𝟅𝟈 mostly for music shows she doesn’t fool around a lot unless she’s on the sidelines with some of her members, and Athena would give them encouraging slaps on their butts that causing the member to have a little smile on their lips
𝟅𝟈 making kissy faces at the members so they can get flustered is something Athena does all the time especially during tour, whenever the choreo involves being really close to another member Athena makes kissy face and pretends she about to kiss the member
𝟅𝟈 it’s a crowd favorite, along with some of the members’ favorite too
𝟅𝟈 Athena does quick aegyo at any member she’s next to, she’s does this a lot in concerts making the members playfully hit her especially Sunoo. They’re be right across from each other and does a quick aegyo expression making Sunoo playfully roll his eyes secretly enjoying Athena’s cute face, and when they’re going to meet each other that’s when Sunoo gently hits Athena making her laugh into her mic
𝟅𝟈 this next one Athena and Jay both do it and that’s messing around with the members like poking them and pretending it’s not them doing it. So as Athena was listening to Jungwon say his speech towards the end of the concert, Athena thought of messing with Jake who was next to her. She starts poking his right shoulder and quickly starts waving at engenes acting like it wasn’t her, then does it again until Jake acts like he’s mad and start poking her side which she really ticklish
𝟅𝟈 back hugs is something Athena does a lot during performances, she only does this if she all the way in the back in the choreo formation. Only if your watching the group perform from the side is where you could really see Athena being her cute self
𝟅𝟈 Athena starts the play fighting between her and Niki by just a simple little hit during the songs where they just jump around with engenes. Then it turns into them two running across the stage trying to return the playfully punch, “ya! Come back!” Niki yelled at Athena, while chasing her. “No! You’re scary!” Athena screamed, as Niki caught her and lifted her off the ground
𝟅𝟈 Athena’s duality is unmatched because even when she’s a little goof ball her expressions and gestures changed to a cold siren like. Which is a talent engenes love and can’t get enough of

“YOU LOOK PRETTY.” Riki wrapped his hands around Mila’s waist form behind her, resting his chin on her shoulder as he watched her apply lip gloss in the mirror. “What’s the occasion?”
Mila was usually the type to dress up, but today it seemed she put a bit more effort into her appearance than usual — not that he was complaining.
She wore a cropped long-sleeve wrap top that showed off the curve of her waist where his large hands rested on her bare skin, just above a chain that hung loosely her like a belt and was decorated by several charms that chimed whenever she moved. She wore a matching white wrap skirt with layers of chiffon that were arranged like flower petals around her waist and a pair of white platform sandals that would make the shorter members of the group cry with the added boost it gave to her already impressive height.
It just so happened that when she got back from he schedules for the day, Mila had been invited to film a challenge for Le Sserafim’s new song, ‘Smart’. “You would actually eat this up, not gonna lie,” was the exactly phrasing Yunjin had used— which, to be perfectly honest, Mila wouldn’t argue with.
So of course Mila had accepted the request, because what else was she supposed to do? Besides, she had already wanted to do one in the first place: the song was constantly on her mind from the moment it released, and had her wishing that she was able to do a similar concept in the future.
“I’m going to film a challenge today with the girls,” Mila replied to Riki’s question. She looked at Riki after applying her lip gloss, their noses brushing against each other. “How does this look? It’s a new one.”
Riki’s eyes flickered down to her lips, a deep hum reverberating in his chest. He leant down and stole a kiss from her sweet lips. Mila gasped before slapping the young man in the chest, causing his chuckled to bounce off the bathroom walls with her giggles. As Riki leaned away from her hand trying to clean the lip gloss from his mouth, he furrowed his eyebrows as he swiped his tongue across his plump lower lip.
“Oh- strawberries?” he muttered in fascination.
Mila laughed at the younger’s expression. “That’s not edible, you idiot. Don’t go eating it while I’m gone.”
“Gone where?” Mila and Riki turned to see Jungwon standing at the door of the bathroom, his arms over his chest as he looked between the two. If Mila had looked, she would have noticed the way the younger male’s eyes raked over her appreciated, taking in the way her clothes perfectly complimented her figure.
“A challenge,” Mila said. “It was last minute, but Le Sserafim wanted to do one for their new song.”
She gently patted Riki’s hands, signalling for him to let go. Jungwon tilted his head as he and Riki followed the girl like lost puppies when she ventured into the kitchen, grabbing her handbag from the table. They had been so eager when their eldest noona had gone to her boyfriend’s dorms and their hyungs (save Sunoo, who was currently with one of his many non-idol friends) decided spend the night out drinking, thinking that it meant more time to spend for them to spend with Mila. But apparently, that was too much to ask of their workaholic girlfriend.
“What song are you doing?” Jungwon asked. He pulled Mila to him by the hips, lips jutted in a small pout as he rubbed his thumb against the home of the skirt, only to blink in surprise when it got caught in her waist chain. His breath caught in his chest as he slipped his finger away from the cold metal, letting it fall back onto the soft skin of Mila’s stomach. “This looks nice on you…”
Jungwon’s thumb traced a light path over the chain, smirking when he observed the slightest flex in the muscles of her abdomen. “Thanks,” Mila whispered.
Riki, not one to be forgotten, quickly, stepped behind Mila and took a seat on the chair behind her. In one swift tug, he brought the woman down on his lap. He hugged her closely with his chest against her back and his arms wrapped around her.
“I think I can guess the song,” he whispered as he placed a chaste kiss on her neck. He smiled cheekily as he slipped a finger under the chain around her waist and playfully tugged on it, evoking the childlike imagery of a young boy who would pull a girl’s pigtails to get her attention. “This doesn’t look like something you’d wear for ‘Easy’.”
Mila smiled at the youngest’s astute observation. It was hard to imagine the woman wearing such feminine clothing for a hip hop choreography. “You’re right. I’m doing ‘Smart.’”
Mila couldn’t help but be amused at the frown on Jungwon’s face as he took a hold of her hand. He gave it a light squeeze when she asked what was wrong. “Just try not to make it too sexy,” he said sulkily, “we already have too many Engenes trying to steal you away.”
“Awww, don’t worry. They’d have to get your permission first.” Mila cooed as she cupped the boy’s face and brought it down for a kiss on the lips. Mila turned to give Riki a kiss, leaving sugary lipstick marks on both of their lips as a reminder of her affections. “I have to go soon, but don’t miss me too much! Once I get back, we can cuddle and watch movies, promise.”
The two maknaes agreed (albeit sulkily) to let their girlfriend go for the night, watching as she walked away in her cute little outfit, her long legs carrying her away faster than they could turn to each other and think, The hyungs are going to go crazy.
Tumblr media
THEY DID INDEED GO CRAZY. They were on their second button of soju when Sunghoon had pulled out his phone to check a notification he had received, only to end up freezing completely when he had clicked on it. The last thing he expected was to be directed to a video of Mila swaying her hips sensually in a miniskirt and waist chain like some sort of hypnotic effect pendulum meant to put viewers under a spell.
“What the fuck?” Sunghoon muttered under his breath, unable to tear his eyes off the screen of his phone— because damn it, why was she looking like that?
“What is it?” Jake asked, leaning over his best friend’s shoulder. The Australian male almost fell off his chair when he saw what was on Sunghoon’s screen. Jake cursed as he spilled his drink over his lap, reaching for tissues to dry the damp soaked his jeans over his thigh. “Shit!”
“What even?” Jay asked as he watched the man, both he and Heeseung having been distracted from their conversation because of Jake’s outburst. That’s when they noticed what was happening.
Sunghoon was holding his phone so close to his face it might as well be glued there. The way his eyebrows furrowed in concentration only made the two eldest males look at each other in confusion. Jay leaned forward, trying to peek at the younger male’s screen. “What are you doing?”
Sunghoon showed them the screen with a blank expression, as if saying, Look. We leave her alone for five seconds and she pulls this shit.
And like Sunghoon, the two eldest male’s had a similar initial reaction of complete silence.
Her tongue peeked out from between her plump, glossy lips and her eyes held a sultry look in them as she trailed the movement of her own hips while she turned her back to the camera. She bundled the long strands of her hair in her hands and lifted it to reveal the expanse of her back and shoulders, that damned red tattoo inked on the back of her neck.
And where did they even get started on the way her skirt (despite not being nearly as short as the stuff her stylists put her in) managed to draw attention to the curve of her ass, beset by the pinch of her waist in a way that made it impossible to look away, especially with how her hips were moving to the song.
For a while, it was completely silent and all of the completely still. But when a pair of college students in the booth next to the boys had looked over and managed to throw a not-so-discrete appreciative glance of the video on Sunghoon’s phone, the Ice Prince hastily shut it off and shoved it into the pocket of his jeans. He took his glass of soju and emptied it in a single shot, throwing his head back with the aggressiveness of which he tipped the alcohol into his mouth.
“I’ll be back,” he said, before walking towards the exit of the restaurant like a man on a mission.
“What even?” Jay turned to watch the younger man leave. “Where are you going?”
Jake eyed his best friend for a moment. He quickly excused himself to go bathroom while Jay and Heeseung were distracted by Sunghoon’s sudden exit. Then he grabbed his phone from his pocket, his fingers typing a quick message after locating Mila’s phone contact.
You: i saw your new tiktok by the way
You: how come i didn’t get a warning?
Jake bit back a smile at his girlfriend’s reply.
Baby ❤️: surprise 😘
Jake almost fell off his chair when a Weverse notification followed her text, and he opened it to find a selfie of Mila in the outfit she wore during the TikTok. It was shot at a high angle and featured a very intentional focus on the low cut of her satin top, which dipped to reveal the slightest bit of cleavage and the tattoo that trail of stars tattooed from her left shoulder to her upper left breast. The caption: ‘Hope you like my gift~’
Fuck, Jake thought as he downed another drink. His girlfrien was going to be the end of him.
From across the table, Jay looked over Heeseung’s shoulder while the latter scrolled through the comments of the TikTok, thinking the exact same thing.
user1. HELLO?? MILANA?? BAI MINGLU?? 😭
user2. okay but why did mila have to go so hard on this
user3. GYAAATT DAYUM
user4. mila rlly be risking hip replacement surgery with those moves and i’m here for it 🙌🙌
Heeseung laughed at the last comment. He wouldn’t be lying if he hadn’t thought about just physically impossible it seemed that Mila could move the way that she did — especially when it came to her hip movements — and he got to see her dance almost everyday. He closed the comments to focus back on the video, eyes drinking in every detail and every movement.
“I’m smarter, baby, smarter~” Heeseung’s eyes drifted for he chain around her waist, watching the charms as they moved with ever sway of her hips, the way her skirt would accentuate her movements and lengthen her legs. There were two other girls in the frame with her — Kazuha and Yunjin — and yet his eyes remained on her the entire time. It was like the song was made for her, and yet she wasn’t even part of the group who sang it.
As Heeseung continue to smile down at his phone with pride and adoration, Jay turned his focus to his own phone, waiting the reply to the text he had sent Mila a few seconds ago.
You: make sure you get home safely ❤️
The reply came sooner than he would have thought.
천사  ❨ angel ❩ : is that all? nothing else? ☹️
Jay chuckled at her obvious attempt to coax praise from him.
You: get home safely first and then i’ll tell you anything you want
천사  ❨ angel ❩ : okay 💔
천사  ❨ angel ❩ : then i’ll rush home as soon as i’m finished here 💨
천사  ❨ angel ❩ : safely ofc
Jay smiled.
You: good girl ❤️
At that moment, Sunghoon appeared again, taking his seat next to Jake. Upon close inspection, one would notice the slight frown on his lips as he filled his glass again, silently speaking of what occurred while he was outside.
Sunghoon wasn’t going to admit that he had sulked about his girlfriend not inviting him to a private rehearsal of the ‘Smart’ choreography.
But, well, his members knew him well enough to infer that was what happened.
Tumblr media
MILA KNEW HER BOYFRIENDS enough to know that by the time she got home, she was in for a mixture of sulking, praise and every other thing that lay in between those things. She had her phone to her ear as she unlocked the apartment, smiling as she spoke to Sunoo on the other end of the line, as the boy was yet to arrive home from his outing with his friends.
“You could have given us a warning before you sprung that on us,” Sunoo said. “I wasn’t mentally prepared.”
“Well, I didn’t know I was doing it either until a few hours ago.”
Sunoo laughed, followed by the sound of a car door opening. “What did I do to get such a sexy girlfriend? I think your hips are going to be the only thing in my mind for the next three days. You need to let me breathe before you pull something else like that again.”
Mila hummed. “I was thinking of doing an encore performance though,” she teased. “Maybe I should cover Yunjin-eonnie’s part on the floor?”
“Byeol-ah,” Sunoo said in a serious tone, causing Mila to pause on the middle of taking off her shoes. But his next words immediately erased any worry she might have had that something was wrong. “If you get on your knees in front of a camera, don’t expect the hyungs to be able to control themselves.”
Mila burst out into laughter. “And what about you? Are you included with the ‘hyungs’?”
There was a small silence before Sunoo replied, “You know I’d last longer than any of them.”
There was a sly undertone in Sunoo’s remark, as if he were both pointing out a known fact as well as proving a point. Mila’s face heated up at the suggestion — and yet, she couldn’t find it in her to deny it. Sunoo may not be as eager to show off as the others, but that didn’t mean he had nothing to show off if he wanted to… And, well, Mila would admit Sunoo was not as easy to drive insane as her other boyfriends were.
Speaking of the devil, Mila thought amusedly, when Heeseung appeared in front of her, arms wide for a hug. Mila laughed as she wrapped her arms around his middle, letting him hug her tightly to his chest and rocking their bodies back and forth. It was clear that he wasn’t fully sober. But Mila simply let him be, allowing the older to shower her in face with aggressive kisses and giggling when he bit her cheek.
“Mila is home,” Jay announced as he walked over to the duo, eyes warm with mirth as he looked Mila up and down. “You’re back now?”
Mila nodded. “Safely,” she said, reiterating their conversation through text earlier on. Jay smiled and stroked the top of her head.
“Good job today, you were perfect.”
Mila chirped a thank you in response, basking in the older male’s praises. At that moment, Sunghoon and Jake appeared from inside the shared bedroom of Sunoo, Sunghoon, Riki and Jungwon. Heeseung pulled away from Mila, allowing her to be swept away by Sunghoon who wrapped his arms around her shoulders from behind and and pulled her to his chest.
“Finally,” he mumbled as he rested his cheek against hers. “Your TikTok filming took forever.”
Jake reached out to her waist, his eyes trained on the chain around her waist much like Jungwon had before Mila left. He didn’t say anything, simply admiring her while Sunghoon clung to her, seeking her affection. Mila giggled and kissed him on the lips. She only intended it to last for a second, but Sunghoon cupped her jaw, turning her head to him to grant him better access to her lips.
He swiped his tongue across her bottom lip, causing Mila to emit a small whine when he nibbled on the soft flesh with the point of his canine fangs. Sunghoon chuckled, before pulling back, unable to contain his amusement at her reactions.
“What was that for?” she protested. She looked at Heeseung. “Oppa, he bit me. Look.”
Heeseung chuckled. “Where? Let me see.” He tilted her chin up, his thumb brushing against her plush lower lip which jutted out as she pouted. Meanwhile, Sunghoon scoffed, lightly knocking away Heeseung’s hand. It just so happened that the door to the dorm opened, signalling Sunoo’s return from his outing.
“Oh, he’s back,” Sunghoon said. “I’m going to see if he bought the thing I asked from him.”
“Anyway,” Jay said with a smile, “Sunoo’s back now. Why don’t you get changed so we can watch a move together like you mentioned before? I’ll go get the movie set up.”
Heeseung followed him. “I’ll come with you.”
“Okay, then I’ll go get changed,” Mila said.”
Jake suddenly snapped out of his reverie, as if someone slapped him in the face. “Oh— wait a second… Why not wear it for a little longer? And you know… maybe even show us the dance again.”
Jake’s words caused Mila to burst out laughing. She playfully pushed him by the shoulder, but he chuckled his hand gripping her by the waist and pulling her with him as he staggered backwards.
“What?” Jake asked with a pout. “Don’t you love us anymore? Your poor boyfriends want to see you dance, is that too much to ask for?”
Mila rolled her eyes, pushing the male down onto the couch. “I doubt dancing is the only thing you want to see.” Mila smiled as she took a seat on Jake’s lap, her arms around his neck. She smiled sultry as she leaned into his ear, her lips brushing against his earlobe. “See if you can leave the movie early. I’ll show you then.”
Jake was almost embarrassed at how quickly he agreed. But then again, who was he to refuse? He had to play it smart.
Tumblr media
BONUS SCENE. ‘WORK HARD IN SECRET’
“I’m smarter baby, smarter. Smarter baby, smarter.” Mila sang softly as she walked to her room, taking her earrings off along the way. She couldn’t wait to get changed into her pyjamas and cuddle with her boyfriends. She opened the door, only to jump in surprise when she saw Jungwon lying on her bed.
Mila laughed. “You scared me.” She walked to the bed and placed her earrings on the bedside table. “What are you doing in here? I thought you and Riki went to buy ice cream.”
They had texted her just as she was nearing the house that they went on a walk together, so she hadn’t expected to find Jungwon waiting for her inside her room. “We got back not long before you. Ni-ki went to shower and the hyungs were too loud so I decided to hide here until you got back.”
Mila hummed, not suspecting anything of the younger boy’s explanation. But she didn’t know the full story behind why Jungwon was here: in truth, since watching her TikTok challenge for ‘Smart,’ he already had a feeling that one of the hyungs would steal her away for the night. So naturally, he decided to get to her first, so that they could have alone time together.
But that was neither here nor there.
Jungwon sat up on Mila’s bed, watching as she removed the bracelet from her wrist. She began to reach for the clasp of their waist chain, only to be stopped by Jungwon’s hand reaching out to grasp hers. The woman raised a questioning brow as Jungwon pulled her towards him.
“Leave it on,” Jungwon said. He smiled as he pulled her in between his legs, his hands resting on her waist where the chain lay. “I like how it looks on you.”
Mila smiled, leaning towards him, so that her hands rested on his neck. They then smoothed their way down the breadth of his shoulders, reminding her of just how broad they were. “Yeah?”
Jungwon hummed deeply. “Especially when you were dancing.”
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed, dark eyes taking in the sight of Mila before him. He was reminded of the way she moved when she danced, hips swaying rhythmically and effortlessly. His hands tightened around her waist, thumbs seeking the coolness of her chain. Mila smiled, endeared by his expressiveness. She leant down to place a soft kiss on his lips with the full intention of making it short and sweet.
But she was taken off guard when he suddenly hooked his hands behind her thighs and tugged her down on to his lap so that she straddled his waist, her skirt hiking up to expose more of her thighs and their bare skin to his touch. But despite her surprise, she didn’t fight him. Nor did she want to.
Mila could only surrender to the strength of his hold on her, knowing well she wouldn’t be able to escape — not that she wanted to anyway. She fully welcomed the possessive touch of his mouth as it devoured hers, lips locked in a passionate exchange of strawberry lip gloss and traces of vanilla ice cream.
Jungwon hummed when Mila’s nails scratched against his scalp and her slender fingers dragged their way through his hair, bringing his mouth closer to hers. At the same time, he pulled her even closer than before, his fingers massaging their way up her soft thighs and beneath her skirt, until the palms of his hand rested just underneath the curve of her ass.
He kept his hands there, using them to press Mila even closer against him, her soft breasts pressed against his firm chest and plush thighs bracketing both of his sturdy ones. The only barrier between them was their clothes. As his tongue swiped across her fleshy pout, licking the taste of strawberries clean from her lip, she mewled softly against his mouth, melting against him completely.
And later, when Mila left her room with a pair of swollen lips and a poorly hidden hickey, Jungwon’s hyungs were left wondering when their baby leader became such a cunning feline.
Perhaps, they thought, he was the real smart one here.

EVERYONE LOVES SORA
Tumblr media
CLIP #1
“If I was a guy, I’d like Sora,” Jungwon says absentmindedly as he scrolls through the comments on their live. Sunoo turns to him with a ‘what the fuck’ face right as Jungwon realizes what he said and glances between the camera and behind the camera, trying to play off, “Wait, did I just say if I was a guy?”
“So you’re a girl?” Sunoo giggles, distracting the audience.
How did they get away with this…?
CLIP #2
“No, if a dog wore pants—“ Sunghoon is saying, making eye contact with all the members to prove how serious he is when he finally makes eye contact with Sora. His words die down in his throat as he continues staring at the girl who is looking back in confusion, not understanding why he stopped talking. She keeps staring back, before it’s like a lightbulb went off in her head and she starts grinning. A light smack from Jake brings him back and he starts talking like he never stopped, “He’d wear them like this..”
CLIP #3
“I got Jungwonnie!” Sora grins at the camera, waving the photocard. She turns her head to look at it, keeping both her and the photocard in the frame, “He is so handsome, right? Ah, look at his cheeks, I just wanna b- squeeze!” She stifles a giggle before quickly pressing her lips to the photocard.
Gasping, she stares at the photocard in shock with the back of it facing the camera. She starts to laugh, turning it around to show the camera.
“I accidentally left my lipstick there,” she giggles, showing the faint pink lipstick stain covering most of Jungwon’s face. “How much do you guys think this would sell for?”
CLIP #4
“You guys never leave enough room for me!” Sora crosses her arms, staring down at the other members.
Jungwon looks around before smiling mischievously at her, “You can sit in Jay-hyung’s lap.”
Jay looks away from the comments cluelessly, “What?” Both of them say together, none of the other members paying them attention. It’s a wonder how they can all hear each other with them all talking about different topics at the same time.
Sora points at Jungwon warningly before going to stand next to the couch, only for Jungwon to tug on her hood and pull her down onto the couch— right on Jay’s lap. Sora gasps, cheeks flushing as she grabs onto the arm of the couch to prevent herself from falling all the way on Jay.
The other members stop talking, looking at the disaster before them as both Sora and Jay bolt up, Sora almost falling to the ground with how fast they moved. The boys burst out into laughter as the two repeatedly bow apologetically to the other before Sora turns to Jungwon, eyes wide and pink cheeks, “Yah!”
Once the others were preoccupied again, Jay leads Sora into his previous spot as he stands next to the couch, patting her head lightly. She ducks her head to hide her smile.
CLIP #5
As ENHYPEN are on live, Sora’s mostly listening and reading the comments. But someone else is paying attention to her. It zooms in on Jake, who keeps glancing over at her, even over the other members’ heads.
Sora glances up, making eye contact with Jake and going back to her phone before looking back up again in confusion. Jake’s no longer looking at her, instead smiling to himself. Sora’s brows are furrowed, but instead of saying anything, she looks back down to her phone right as Jake looks back at her.
Her head turns back to him and he whips his head to the front, a small smirk on his lips. She stares at him without stopping, not even when he glances her way to see if she’s looking.
A staring contest ensues. Neither look away until one of the boys’ head got in the way. Her head tilts, meeting Jake’s eyes again. She smiles to herself, turning back to the camera.
CLIP #6
The many cameras capture ENHYPEN walking up to the red carpet of an award show. As they get to the beginning of it, the members in front slow down, stopping before they can go first. Sora is looking at the cameras before she realizes they all stopped when she walks into Jay.
She stops, staring at all of them, saying something the cameras can’t hear. Half of the boys gesture wordlessly for her to walk ahead of them, but she simply stares at them incredulously before turning to Jungwon and forcing him to go first as the leader.
CLIP #7
It’s a clip from an episode of ‘Pass The Conch’, and Sora was letting Sunoo try to do her makeup. She’s sitting at her vanity with Sunoo at her side, his lips pouting in concentration as he finishes up doing her eye makeup. Once the brush’s sensation disappears, her eyes flicker open, making eye contact with Sunoo.
Sunoo doesn’t look away, instead smiling at her, “You look great. I did well, right?” He moves closer to her, making her blink rapidly as he gets up really close to admire his creation. “We should do lips next.” His eyes drop down to her lips.
Sora’s mouth drops open slightly before she forces it closed, glancing at the camera before saying abruptly and moving her face away from Sunoo, “Okay, um, I-I, lips next?”
The camera captures Sunoo smiling a little too innocently at the camera, “My favorite.”
The lipstick in Sora’s hand clatters to the ground.
CLIP #8
“Too many of us in one room,” Sora huffs, crouching to get to a lower cabinet and grabbing a pitcher from it. “What was this even doing in here, anyway?” As she stands up, Heeseung’s hand is lightly resting on the corner of the counter, blocking her head from bumping into it. She doesn’t notice, instead taking the pitcher to the sink to clean it.
The video switches to a new angle.
“I swear,” she rolls her eyes, forced to lean back as Niki passes by her in the kitchen, “None of you know how to cook well enough to be in here!” The camera zooms in on Heeseung’s hand resting behind her head so she wouldn’t hit it on the bottom of the cabinet. She doesn’t notice, again.
CLIP #9
Sora adjusts her dress as she goes to sit down beside Sunghoon, and misses the brief argument between Ni-Ki and Jake on who gets to sit next to her. Ultimately, Ni-Ki wins and sits next to her, even going as far as offering her his jacket to cover her legs.
The camera catches the fans’ screams getting louder.
Sora smiles, accepting it and looking back to Jungwon who leans around Heeseung to talk to her.
Ni-Ki, who looks smug, glances at Jake as if he was saying “What are you going to do?” with a shrug. Jake looks like he’s about to kill him.
CLIP #10
“I don’t think I like this,” Sora says as she stares at herself in the mirror, turning around to see how she looks from behind. “Yeah, no. I don’t like it.”
“Yah, what are you talking about?” Sunghoon sounds exasperated, “You look perfectly fine.”
“You look pretty,” Heeseung chimes in, the other boys nodding earnestly.
Sora can’t help the smile that forms, quickly turning her head to the stylist who had come up next to her to hide it, “I love it, unnie!”

✧. ┊ Jungwon was always born to be a leader, unlike Aohi, who just followed the crowd, Jungwon was born to lead it.
When he was picked as the best candidate for ENHYPEN's leader role, he was overjoyed, of course, but a part of him also wondered if he was ready for that role.
Jungwon worked to his limit to make sure ENHYPEN was where they were now. Aohi and Xiulin... he was stumped on what to do, they were suddenly thrust upon his plate when he already had so much.
Jungwon had no idea how to lead the girls, he didn't go through I-LAND with them, nor did they meet long enough to help them....
so, he didn't.
For about a few months, that went excruciatingly slow by the way, Jungwon barely made the effort to even glance Aohi's and Xiulin's way, well, more Aohi's because he respects Xiulin as his elder sister.
At first, it was smooth sailing for Jungwon, it wasn't that hard to ignore Aohi or avoid her, but as time passed on, Jungwon didn't realize her cold attitude would sting, like being out during a snowfall and it got too cold that your hands would freeze, kind of sting.
Jungwon didn't think the glare Aohi would sometimes direct at him would bother him so much. Like, made his stomach turn kind of bother.
For one, it made him feel like he was a bad person. (he doesn't think he is, is he?)
Secondly, he hated to admit that maybe, just maybe he did deserve it, and he wasn't really living up to the leader name.
Jungwon knows Aohi and Xiulin are his group members now, hell, they're making their first album with the girls now!
As a leader, he was supposed to help the girls, especially when he needed to navigate this whole co-ed situation as well, but he didn't, and knowing that left an incredibly sour taste on the boy's tongue.
That's what brought us to Jungwon now, sitting in an empty meeting room, after a weekly... report? Status? whatever it was, had happened. The boy stared straight ahead at the table, seemingly burning a theoretical hole into the furniture.
He sat unmoving for a while, getting lost in his thoughts, you could say he got it from Sunghoon's morning spacing out routine.
It was only until a can was placed in front of his line of sight did his gaze change from the table, to the girl he was exactly thinking about.
"You stare at that spot any longer, you might've actually burnt a hole into the table."
Jungwon didn't respond, glancing up at Aohi's brown orbs, before looking back down at the can on the table. "What's the drink for?" Jungwon nudged towards the drink, as if scared to touch it.
"To drink? What else?" Aohi stated, sitting opposite of Jungwon, in which Jay sat in before her, so Aohi cringed slightly as she felt the warm seat.
Aohi seemed to magically produce another can of warm tea— Jungwon had analyzed, in front of him, opening it with one hand.
"The drink was Xiulin-unnie's." She hums, blowing inside her can to take her first sip, tasting the tea and nodding her head, outwardly approving the flavour.
"Why didn't you give it to her then?" Jungwon hesitantly took the drink off of the table. "Couldn't find her." Aohi shrugged.
Jungwon made no move to open his drink, sitting up in his chair. "Why're you here?" He asks, moving the metal can from one hand to the other, temporarily using it as a handwarmer.
Jungwon didn't seem to like the fact that Aohi was so close without any reasons to be, he had no idea why he was so alert around her either, as if two cats meeting on a territory and intimidating each other.
"Why can't I be? I'm sitting with one of my members, I don't see anything wrong with that." Aohi's eyes narrowed like that of a cat as she willingly made eye contact.
As the two cat-like members stared on, Jungwon could feel that grumbling feeling in his stomach once again as he didn't back down from the intense eye contact Aohi established.
"I didn't say anything was wrong with it, I mean that you don't really like us—"
"I like Ri-ki, so I don't think that I don't like my group members." Aohi's shrugged once again, "You look at us like we're the worst people on earth." Jungwon scoffed, already disliking Aohi's response.
"I don't know why you have to look for a reason for me to be here, I'm being nice—" Aohi grumbled, placing her drink on the table since she was an easily irritable person, and this conversation— is it still even a conversation? could end up firing her up even more.
"With a stare like that?" Jungwon raised his eyebrows, he'd never seen someone who was being nice have a stare that could probably kill.
"Gosh, why do you have to start a fight with me all of the time?!" Aohi stood from her seat, pointing at Jungwon with an accusatory finger.
"Because you have so much against my hyungs and I! You don't even know us," Jungwon stood up from his seat as well, pushing Aohi's finger away with the back of his hand. "You just decided we're not even worth being nice to!"
"Neither do you! I wasn't the first to be rude, it was the hyungs who looked at me and Xiulin-unnie like we were of no hope!" Aohi argued, her words were true, how could the young girl forget?
Xiulin-unnie had to learn everything for herself and Aohi, because Aohi was finishing her studies and had to miss most of their practices.
Aohi was only angry because she cared for her unnie, and a few months in living like that, Xiulin was already extremely exhausted, and Aohi couldn't do much to help her.
Aohi was frustrated, she only wanted the boys to help, not just Ri-ki, all of the boys.
"Well—" "I'm not done!" Jungwon was silenced by Aohi, taken aback by her sudden outburst, even if he wanted to, what Aohi said was true, they truly didn't think they could debut, not so late into ENHYPEN's career at least.
Still, how could Jungwon admit that?
"Xiulin-unnie and I needed help, and we couldn't even confide in our hyungs, much less our leader." Jungwon's throat dried at Aohi's words, not knowing how to respond to that.
In all honesty, he felt like he was slapped with a hot iron pan of truth.
"Sure, Jake-hyung barely tried to help us with our dance practices, but not before pointing out every little wrong thing from us." Aohi poked her finger to Jungwon's chest, hating the way he was silent.
It wasn't like Aohi didn't know that Jungwon was the type to lead, from just meeting him, you could already feel it. That's what makes it worse.
The girls— Aohi, needed someone to follow, because that's all she knew to do, and she hoped that there was a small chance, Jungwon, as the leader, would knock some sense into his group members and allow her and her unnie to have someone to follow.
Apparently it was too much to ask for.
"We didn't even know each other, and we just decided to hate each other... months straight, we'd barely interact, even when we started to record the album.." Aohi frowned, seeing that she'd stunned Jungwon into silence.
Aohi wasn't sure whether to continue after that, only sighing and sitting back down, taking her cup of warm tea, trying to drink the tension away.
Jungwon stayed standing up, thinking. Jungwon knows he was cruel, but he thought he was doing right, he followed his hyungs along as well.
He could remember his Heeseung-hyung telling him that the girls will not gain anything by being in ENHYPEN, that they should let it be for their own good.
Jungwon should've asked what Aohi and Xiulin's thoughts were, if they could really do it, if they were really willing. Maybe then, he could've helped them, give them a place in the group, rather than giving up on them from the start.
"...I'm sorry." Jungwon hesitated, sitting next to Aohi, rubbing the palms of his hands nervously.
"You're only apologizing because I told you—"
"You're right, but I really am sorry, I mean that from the bottom of my heart." Jungwon interrupted her, Aohi turns to Jungwon, looking at him with a skeptical look.
"I was stressed, and I know that it's not an excuse, because you and Xiulin-noona were also under a lot of pressure," Aohi didn't bother to try and intervene with Jungwon's ramblings, he seemed to have a lot to say.
"But let me try and make it up to you, and Xiulin-noona."
Aohi stayed silent for a few moments, thinking, if Jungwon was genuine, and he was serious about treating her and Xiulin like actual members, maybe...
"It's been months, Jungwon.." Aohi replied curtly, turning to the side, as if hesitant to even agree. "Then I'll make up for it for as long as you girls want."
"You—" Aohi tried to start, Jungwon shaking his head at her reply, "I will, as long as you don't look at me like that again. I'll change."
Tumblr media
And change, Jungwon did.
Aohi was taken aback the first time he did something for her, it was an interview, their first interview as a debuted co-ed group.
Aohi sat in one of the dressing rooms, spacing out on a make-up chair as the girls' own stylist worked her magic onto Aohi's newly dyed hair.
Xiulin and Aohi were successfully debuted into the group, despite the boys' hesitance, except Ri-ki and Jungwon, who happily congratulated the two girls.
Aohi remembers how much they had to handle on the first few days, the incorporation of Dark Moon, the making of their first co-ed album, it was a mess, and not to mention they barely had any breaks.
"Aohi-ssi, your make-up is done." Her stylist spoke, ushering her behind to start working on Xiulin next. Aohi stretched her arms in front of her as she sat on the couches, next to Ri-ki.
Ri-ki instantly turned to her, phone in hand to show whatever he was currently laughing at.
While the two teens giggled over whatever was on Ri-ki's screen, Jungwon approached the couch with drinks in hand, just like Aohi did, and for some reason, the leader of ENHYPEN disliked that their youngest was shoulder to shoulder with Aohi.
Without thinking any further, Jungwon pushed the two apart, Aohi looking startled at the sudden intrusion. Aohi looked up, seeing Jungwon looking down at her.
"I got you a drink, you have to stay hydrated." Jungwon took Aohi's hand and placed the cold drink, using his palm to curl her fingers over it.
Aohi's eyebrows just furrowed, glancing at Xiulin, who only stared from the mirror of the stylist chair in shock.
"Thanks, I guess.." Aohi mumbled, placing the drink on the table in front of the couch. Ri-ki didn't seem to notice, or suspect anything as he just returned to bumping shoulders with Aohi and looking at random videos.
Jungwon seemed to bite the inside of his cheek at the unsuccessful attempt at separating the two, wait— why was he even annoyed that they were so close to each other?
"Noona, are you going to drink that?" Ri-ki points to the drink Aohi had recently placed on the table.
"Why, are you thirsty, ki-yah?" Aohi hummed, grabbing the can, wiping the top and popping it open for the youngest to drink.
Jungwon stood behind them, a bit offended as he watched Aohi place the can to Ri-ki's lips, like a big 'screw you!' from Aohi to Jungwon as she gave Ri-ki the first sip of the drink he decided to kindly get for her.
"Good?" Aohi asks Ri-ki, grinning when he nods. "That's really good grape juice." He nods, wiping his lips with the back of his hand.
"here, you can have it."
Jungwon could hear his heart crack as he heard that from Aohi's lips, and Aohi heard clearly.
'You aren't gaining my forgiveness that easily..' She thinks, glancing at Jungwon, a slight mischievous smile on her face.
Since then, Jungwon had been... overbearingly kind to Aohi and Xiulin, as in... even sneaking in ordered food for them late at night. Jungwon was really determined to gain Aohi's forgiveness.
Jungwon had already earned Xiulin's respect, it's just Aohi being stubborn.
"Here..." Jungwon huffed, having ran a few floors down and back up to deliver the ordered food to the girls' dorms.
Aohi could only blurt out a small thanks before closing the door in front of their leader's face, stopping him from even saying anything.
Jungwon sat in front of their door for a bit, catching his breath, letting out a sigh before turning around, despite hearing muffled voices behind the door.
"Aohi! That was rude! You know he's still a member, he's stuck with us!" Xiulin whisper-yelled from beside her, opening the door as soon as it was closed. "Sorry, won, she's just hangry, have some with us." The older girl ushered, pulling a turned Jungwon inside.
"Unnie!" Aohi gasped, somewhat stomping her foot from the door and staring up at Jungwon with a frown. "Don't be like that, we ordered enough for an extra person." Xiulin scolded.
"I could've called Ri-ki..." Aohi grumbled, turning around and stomping into the kitchen. "You're not calling the youngest down for some fried chicken, Aohi." Xiulin retorted.
Jungwon stood by the entrance awkwardly, he was the first of the boys to even be in the girls' dorms. "Don't just stand there, go!" Aohi pointed to the living room, chopsticks and plates in her other hand.
Jungwon hesitantly approached the room, looking around curiously at the new environment, before sitting next to Xiulin, on their couch.
"I'm hungry, hurry up!" Xiulin whined from the living room, the TV still turned on, they seemed to be watching a random k-drama, obviously bored but not tired.
"Eung!" Aohi replied, sitting by the table in the middle of their living room as they started to open the food they ordered. Jungwon sat back with his hands on his lap, a bit nervous.
"Loosen up, won." Xiulin looked from behind her, Aohi placing a plate and chopsticks for Jungwon to use. The two girls were silent as they placed the food out.
"Looks so good... I'm literally about to devour everything." Xiulin let out a 'psh!' sound, bumping Aohi's leg with her own and gaining a protest from Aohi.
"I will enjoy this food.." The three recited, Jungwon slowly sliding into the middle of the two girls as they started to eat.
The trio ate silently, an occasional groan or dislike for any event that went on in their k-drama. "She's so fake for going back to her ex.." Aohi spoke, looking at the TV with a furrowed brow.
"Right? Like, if you're going to go back, don't do it in front of the boy who's liked you for forever.." Xiulin scoffed, taking a sip of her cider. Jungwon silently chewed from between them, just listening in.
Jungwon stared down at his plate, swallowing, 'ah... I need some pickled radish..' Jungwon looked for the container around the table, seeing it but... it was being guarded by Aohi.
Jungwon didn't want to ask Aohi, just watching the girl place another cube into her mouth. Xiulin glanced from beside her, seeing Jungwon eye the container.
"Yah, Jungwon wants some, don't finish it all." Xiulin spoke, nudging her head towards Aohi's direction.
Jungwon felt alarmed at the sudden call-out Xiulin made, jumping in his spot, "Ah— no, it's okay!—" Jungwon used his free hand to make a no motion.
Aohi stared at Jungwon, chopsticks in her mouth, before staring back to the TV. The younger boy felt a little awkward as the noise died down between both Aohi and Xiulin.
Aohi then stared down at the container of radishes, there was only five cubes left.. and she really liked the radishes, she glances at Jungwon, who seemed to have a bit of trouble eating the last of his bites, using cider to down it.
Jungwon grabbed the last bite of the boneless bites he was eating, getting ready to chew his way to a finished plate, unknowing to Aohi's gaze at his struggling figure.
In a small moment, Aohi made the decision to pick a cube up from the container with her chopsticks, before turning to Jungwon.. "Eung.." Aohi was feeding him a cube of radish.
Jungwon stopped mid-chew to stare at her like a deer in headlights, Xiulin was too busy being immersed in her digital show to even bother seeing the live-version play out right beside her.
'Did.. did she want to feed me?' Jungwon thought, looking at the radish before looking back up.
Aohi waited with a blank look on her face as Jungwon swallowed his bite, hesitantly coming forward as he used his teeth to bite the radish, so that his lips wouldn't touch her chopsticks.
Jungwon could feel the back of his neck warm slightly, trying to finish his food.
Ever since then, it was even more awkward between Aohi and Jungwon, the leader starting to practically follow the girl around like a cat does to his owner.
Aohi guessed he wasn't that bad, more so tolerable. Aohi didn't mind Jungwon that much, just thought it was a little tiring having to be followed around.
It's been almost eight months since Jungwon promised to change, and Aohi and Jungwon seemed to be... friends? Acquaintances? All the leader knew was that Aohi didn't avoid him anymore.
Aohi was secretly appreciative of Jungwon, he had helped plenty with her and Xiulin with coordinating their first album together, MANIFESTO.
Aohi and Xiulin learnt their roles in the dance pretty quickly, thanks to Ri-ki and Jungwon. Aohi started to find her confidence in being in the group, trying to find her dynamic, trying to fit in.
Aohi thought she was ready, actually. That she was perfectly in the spot she was. That was, until their first performance of their songs.
"Get her and Sunoo off-stage, quickly! Check on her, see if she broke or injured anything!" The staff ran around frantically behind stage, trying to close the lights to cover up the incident on-stage.
It was their first performance of their song, ParadoXXX Invasion, Aohi thought she was going to nail this first performance, she really did.
Aohi lost her footing half-way into the song, tripping onto Sunoo as the two came tumbling down. The lights dimmed as their fans gasped, murmuring at the sudden absence of lights on-stage.
Sunoo held Aohi stable as he winced, feeling a sting from his lower back from where he fell.
Aohi looked at Sunoo with teary eyes, shaking her head as a worried expression washed over her features.
"Sunoo-hyung... I'm so sorry.. I'm sorry- i didn't mean—" Aoihi whispered, wrapping her palm around her mic, just in case it was still on. Aohi didn't want the crowd hearing her lose her composure.
The whole group was ushered off-stage as Aohi couldn't even hold back her tears as she suddenly burst out in worry, and honestly, in fear.
The staff members had no idea how to comfort the overwhelmed girl. Aohi felt vulnerable at this moment, she felt more like Yoon Aohi, the seventeen-year-old girl who was a little too sensitive for her own good.
Xiulin could only usher her away from the eyes of the other members, letting out soft mantras of reassurance as they walked away. Ri-ki and Jungwon looked on in worry, being by Sunoo's side as the medic on seen checked on him.
"Go check if she's okay, I'm okay—" Sunoo grabbed Jungwon's arm, looking at him with a strained smile, knowing Jungwon's conflicted thoughts behind his eyes, of staying with his hyung, or going after Aohi.
Jungwon glanced up one more time from Sunoo to a fading Aohi, through the crowds, the boy could see glimpses of Aohi's face in her hands, her shoulders shaking.
In that moment, Jungwon didn't hesitate to follow after her, swerving through different staffs as his hyungs called for him.

"I'll just leave you here, okay? I'll be right back... just stay here.." Xiulin softly spoke, rubbing Aohi's shoulder for a bit, leaving to go talk with staff.
Jungwon tailed after the girls, approaching the dressing room that Xiulin left. Jungwon stood in front of the door for a bit, hesitating to knock before he did.
Thankfully, he did manage to do it, cracking the door open soon after, entering with as little noise as possible.
Aohi looked up from her make-up stained hands, up at Jungwon. Aohi sniffled as she wondered why Jungwon was there.
Jungwon could feel his heart tighten at Aohi's tear-stained face. Her expression seemed to hurt even worse than all of those glares she shot his way in the past.
Jungwon never wants to see her cry like this again, he wouldn't be able to take it if he did.
"Aohi..." Jungwon calls out softly, approaching the couch as he attempted to sit down, placing a gentle hand on her arm.
Aohi quickly pulled her hand away before Jungwon could even wrap a finger, "Wag mo ako hawakan!— please!" (Don't try to hold me, please.)
Aohi sniffled as she scooted to the side of the couch, making space between her and Jungwon. he didn't know what she was asking of him, not understanding what she said.
Instead, Jungwon sat on the other side of the couch, hoping she just wanted space. Jungwon could feel his stomach spin in worry for Aohi, the last few months, spending time with her made it that way.
Despite Aohi's firm obstacles in the start, trying to push him away, they ended up becoming somewhat close.
"Why're you even here?.." Aohi sobbed.
"I wanted to know if you're okay.." Jungwon frowned, looking at Aohi, itching to bring her into his arms, itching to comfort her.
"Since when did you care?" Aohi spat, she seemed defensive, thoughts racing in her head, she wondered, if Jungwon as the leader, would scold her for being so careless.
Aohi was stressed enough as it was. Jungwon could see that.
"I've always cared, Aohi.. ever since then..." Jungwon whispered, inching closer, freezing when Aohi flinched at his sudden movement.
"Please don't push me away," Jungwon begged. "I'm not here to berate you, or scold you—"
"I don't need your pity!" Aohi cried, a sob following her words. Jungwon held grabbed Aohi's hand as she tried to stand.
"I'm not pitying you, Aohi! I genuinely care for you!" Jungwon begeed once more, keeping Aohi in place, her movements frantic.
Aohi had to admit, Jungwon was pretty strong and she had to scold herself for thinking such things in a situation like this. Aohi tried to pull her hands away from Jungwon when she was pulled into his chest.
Aohi gasped, struggling in his hold as Jungwon held her in place, whispering 'you're okay's and 'relax' in Aohi's ears as she sobbed even more, only grabbing onto his sweatshirt as she cried her teenage heart out into Jungwon's clothes.
"You made a mistake, and that's okay.. it happens.." Jungwon softly comforted the girl in his arms, his hand reaching up to pat the girl's head.
"I just ruined the performance.. I tripped Sunoo-hyung.. I hurt him—" Aohi sobbed out, Jungwon shaking his head with a soft laugh. "Aish... Aohi, you're thinking too much, Sunoo-hyung won't hate you for that."
"It's not just that!" Aohi cried out, Jungwon leans back from his hug, looking down at Aohi, who seemed to stare up at him, her eyes puffy and nose red, Jungwon was convinced he could've been looking at a scared bunny.
"Then what is it? Hm?"
Aohi sniffled for a bit, moving away from her embrace with Jungwon, "I hyped myself up so much for this album... I was so confident, Jungwon," She whimpered, using her arm to wipe her eyes.
"I thought I would be able to do the performance flawlessly. I just embarrassed us, maybe I'm really not meant to be in enhypen, won.."
Jungwon stays quiet at her words, Jungwon is reminded of their starting months, he wonders if he and his hyungs made that mindset for Aohi. Jungwon wonders if he did, he really thought he was cruel.
"Don't say that, you didn't do anything," Jungwon wanted to change those thoughts in the poor girl's head, it was the least he could do.
"You're a hard-working person, Aohi, and you made a mistake but don't think for one second that you don't belong with us because of it."
"...You mean it, won?" Aohi whispered, looking up at the taller boy. Jungwon looked down at her once again, he felt a bit stunned at how Aohi was fine with showing this vulnerable side to her, especially when he's always been avoided by her.
"With everything I have." Jungwon replied, just as soft.
The two continued to keep eye contact with each other, getting lost in each other's gazes. It was quiet in the dressing room, except for the rustling of Jungwon's hand rubbing at Aohi's palm and his rings clinking with hers.
Neither Jungwon or Aohi made an effort to move away from each other, they didn't even bother to notice that, instead of moving away from each other, they inched closer and closer.
"Won?" Aohi whispered, her eyes fluttering softly.
"..Eung?" Jungwon asked, Aohi could feel his breath on her cheek, that's how close they were.
Aohi glanced down at his lips, Jungwon following her actions, dreading for the moment they would touch.
Another minute passes, an inch following.
It was quiet, too quiet.
In a span of a second, Aohi could feel Jungwon close the gap in between them, a soft gasp leaving her lips. His lips were soft, oh so soft.
Jungwon's eyes had fluttered close, he didn't know why he ended up closing the gap, hell, he didn't even register that he was kissing Aohi!
Aohi could've melted from just how soft Jungwon's lips were on hers, it was perfect, so perfect. Aohi wanted it to last forever, the feeling of their lips moving in sync was perfect, like a dream.
but as quickly as a dream ends, it did, Xiulin being the main culprit as she busts into the room.
Aohi and Jungwon jumped away from each other, Aohi fixing her appearance and Jungwon covering the lower half of his face.
"Noona! Are you okay?" RI-ki voiced, his worried figure approaching Aohi as she tried to compose herself.
"Yeah- Yeah, I'm..." Aohi glances at Jungwon, who's forced himself not to even think to turn to look at her. "I'm.. alright.." Aohi finishes her sentence, her voice lowering softly.
"We should get you out of here, the staff gave us the green light.." Xiulin spoke curtly, staring at Jungwon as she rubbed Aohi's shoulder.
Before Aohi could even get a word in, Ri-ki was already ushering her up, softly telling her to move. Xiulin taking over when she reaches the door.
"But, won—" Aohi tried to call for the other member, Ri-ki only blocking her sight. "Go, noona." The youngest pleaded, wanting Aohi to rest.
Aohi didn't say anything further as Xiulin pulled her outside, reaching the car with their stuff in tow, letting the younger girl enter the car first.
"Unnie-" Aohi tried to speak her mind before Xiulin could even scold her, but she was instantly silenced by the way her elder sister just sent a glance her way.
"Aohi, what were you thinking?" Xiulin spoke from her seat, leaning back into her seat.
"Unnie.. it was a mistake, I really didn't mean to trip—" Xiulin made a 'nuh uh' sound, shaking her head as she raised her hand up to stop Aohi from speaking even more.
"Not. That." Xiulin turns to her dongsaeng, a slightly annoyed look on here face. "I mean that... the— you know!" Xiulin motions to her hand, making kissing motions by touching the tips of her fingers together.
Aohi watches the action with her lips ajar, she opened her mouth to try and make a reason, an excuse, on why she did it, why she... kissed Jungwon.
Since nothing came out, she only sighed, looking off to the window, as if deep in thought. There was barely any sunlight left, the night coming to replace the sun.
"I don't know.. Unnie, believe me, I was upset and—" Xiulin clicked her tongue. "I thought you disliked our members? That's all you could ever talk about, remember?"
"I know but-" Aohi sighed, looking down at her fingers, fiddling with the rings. "Jungwon- He's different—" Xiulin suddenly puts her hands up in the air, it's like she's finally noticing the plot of a k-drama.
"Different? Because he was nice? You and I have known him for a few months, batsy!" Xiulin argued. Aohi flinches at her aggressive tone, feeling like a kicked cat on the curb.
"It's the way he's changing! Believe me, I tried to push him away, but he was persistent, and I started to change—" Xiulin huffed in her seat, she truly wonders what was going through Aohi's head.
Xiulin thought of the future of ENHYPEN as quickly as she saw the scene of Aohi and Jungwon. It would cause such an outrage, especially between newly-debuted members and how it would conspire so many rumours.
Xiulin's heart was in the right place, worrying about their careers, but she has to understand that Aohi didn't mean for the kiss to happen.
"Unnie.. you said it yourself, we're stuck with them! Is it so bad to try and change? To want to be on better terms with them?" Aohi reasoned, pleading her older member to understand.
"You call that better terms, Aohi?" Xiulin frustratingly replied. The two girls seemed to struggle with finding a middle ground. "Kissing Jungwon is worse than having something against him."
"I like him, unnie!" — "Is you liking Jungwon worth more than our careers?!"
Aohi stays silent at this, for once her stubbornness flickers out like a flame.
She thinks about the whole situation from Xiulin's eyes. She and her unnie worked to debut after being picked out of their respective groups and now that they are debuting, Aohi could ruin it.
Hell, she should be lucky it was Xiulin and.. maybe Ri-ki? who saw the kiss.. Oh gosh, what about Ri-ki? What will he do?
"I'm sorry, unnie... I didn't know what I was thinking..." Aohi whispered, deciding to back down and agree to Xiulin. Her unnie turns to her, seeing the young girl deflate into her chair with a soft sniffle.
Aohi was obviously upset, feeling dejected. Xiulin could only sigh, "You should stay away from Jungwon off-camera.. You and won will only hurt yourselves if feelings start to form..." Xiulin reaches over to rub her arm on the girl's shoulder, in attempt to comfort her.
Aohi only nods, their conversation ending as their separate manager enters the car, ready to drive them home.

MUSIC BANK DRESSING ROOM, 8:56 PM—
"Hyung." A voice calls out for him. Jungwon could only squeeze his eyes shut for a few moments. "Look, just- don't tell the others.." He let out a sigh through his nose, looking up at Ri-ki, who seemed visibly upset.
"I don't care about that, you shouldn't of done that to her." The youngest spoke. Jungwon was taken aback at the sudden hostility coming from Ri-ki.
"Ri-ki, what are you talking about?" Jungwon's eyebrows furrowed, looking appalled at the youngest's behaviour.
Ri-ki clenches his fists, biting the inside of his cheek. "You shouldn't of kissed her."
Jungwon wonders why he'd bring this up, he already knew? What does Ri-ki gain from telling him again?
"You don't think I know that? I'm saying not to mention it to the other hyungs, I'll—" Jungwon spoke, trying to pass the conversation as quickly as possible, the leader didn't want to speak about it, his mind jumbled from the big events of today.
"You're going to hurt Aohi-noona, you know that?" Ri-ki replies, and at this point, Jungwon wonders why he cares so much. Sure, their youngest and Aohi has been closest, but to be so defensive about her?
"Ri-ki, drop it please." Jungwon pleaded, Ri-ki flicking his head to the side, as if ticked off. "she doesn't deserve that, you—" Jungwon stopped Ri-ki from saying even more words, words that could hurt both of them.
"I care about Aohi as much as you do, Ri-ki!" Jungwon argued, Ri-ki biting back just as fierce. "I don't just care, Jungwon-hyung!" He yells, and Jungwon is quiet for a few moments, wondering what he meant.
"You're blowing this out of proportion, ki. You know we're just friends." And at this, Ri-ki scoffs. He felt like a little kid being hid away from things he obviously understood.
"Don't bullshit me, please, hyung." Jungwon clenches his jaw, he could feel the tension rise between them.
It was a familiar feeling, one that started to become obvious as months passed, the more both spent time with Aohi.
"You don't think I notice? The way you look at Noona like she showed you the wonders of the world," Ri-ki steps towards Jungwon, and the older boy takes a step back.
"You used to hate her, and now you kiss her like the past just didn't happen?"
"That was months ago! Aohi and I are on better terms!" Jungwon takes this as an opportunity to stand his ground with Ri-ki, he has never seen their youngest be so rebellious, or hell, angry with them.
"Still! I won't let you play with her feelings like that!"
Jungwon is angered at this, Ri-ki doesn't get to put that claim on him, not when he spent months caring for Aohi, not when he's made a habit to glance at Aohi to make sure she's okay, or always asking her if she needs any help.
Not when Jungwon spent so much time caring, not when he started to form feelings, when he started to love her.
"I'm not playing with anyone's feelings, Ri-ki!" Jungwon finally yells, like a cat defending his territory, feeling offended and intimidated.
"You don't get to accuse me of that! Aohi is just as important to me! I get my actions but I won't do it again! So, drop it!"
"No! I'm not dropping it!" Ri-ki keened.
"God, Ri-ki! Why do you care so much?!" Jungwon groaned, "I said I wouldn't do it again, what more could you want?—"
"It's because I have feelings for her!" Ri-ki reveals, his hand instantly reaching up to slap over his lips. It was so shocking that even Jungwon's eyes widened slowly at his words, not expecting to hear that fall from Ri-ki's lips.
Even Ri-ki's surprised that those words came out of his own mouth.
"I.. I like her."
The two stare at each other for a while, before Ri-ki couldn't handle his hyung's gaze, dashing out with a heavy heart, and a twisting stomach.
Jungwon seemed to grab at a table behind his back, feeling his knees weaken. His hands reached up to wipe the sweat on his face, the temperature of the room seemed to change as the fighting between the two got worse.
Jungwon repeated Ri-ki's works in his head over and over, as if it was a mantra. Ri-ki liked her, he had feelings for her.
God, what will he do?

MANEATER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ミ★ ### : “she’s a maneater… make you want all of her love”
PAIRING(S) poly!ot7!enhypen x fem!addedmember!oc WARNINGS minhee is mentioned to be in a dating rumour with someone outside of enhypen. (brief) crying. miscommunication. profanity. avoidance. WC 1.91k [back to library]
Tumblr media
MINHEE DIDN’T KNOW WHEN THE RUMOURS ORIGINALLY BEGAN SPREADING. It was hard to pinpoint the exact spot on the timeline when she saw the first tweet.
It got even harder to pin the rest, with countless accounts coming out and saying the same things over and over.
A timeless record, as she called it.
A record that only plays the same envious tunes, the sweet poison spilling from her lips with every tap of their fingers. One after another they kept the record spinning, the music in their ears only intensifying as they saw the success of their mission coming to light.
Their vicious grins replaced their tearful eyes, their victory held high on their shoulders as they celebrated- what they thought- was the beginning of the end.
Maneater. A word Minhee now knew all too well. The word that’s been painted over her pristine image, one that many now identify her with.
The darks of her eyes grew with the passing weeks, bleeding down into her skin as they made home with her misfortune. She was a beautiful disaster, a shell of the woman that they once loved the most.
Her friends began turning their backs, their sharp claws coming out as they tried grasping ahold of their own careers. No one was prepared to go down with her, not even herself.
The change was gradual.
It started with one less handhold, her arms glued to her side as she avoided all eye contact with the taller man beside her. The sudden avoidance made Heeseung stare at his palm in shock, intruding thoughts entering his mind as he began questioning himself.
It ended with complete silence. The world kept spinning, days turning into nights as Minhee closed herself off. She was drowning in the hues of the night, her magnetic pull being far too strong for her to handle.
She was barely gasping for air by the time the news hit the other members. Time was a thief, but they seemed to have fate spinning across their palms in a web of sudden realization.
“Noona, what’s a maneater?” It wasn’t often that Riki called Minhee by her set honorific, often opting to call her by whichever pet name he found most intriguing at the time.
But it also wasn’t often when Minhee avoided him at all costs, her presence leaking from his life as she removed herself from their home.
Minhee froze in shock, her body unmoving as she stared into Riki’s confused gaze. Her chest burned at the thought of them finding out about the rumours, her heart palpitating as her worst nightmare played out in front of her.
“It’s nothing for you to worry about, just ignore it.” Minhee turned her eyes away from the slightly younger boy, her back facing him as she countinued walking from the washroom to her bedroom.
Riki’s confusion never settled, the feeling growing as he read through the comments. His gasp, once again, caused Minhee to freeze.
Her eyes closed on their own as the long-awaited revelation came out. “Why didn’t you tell us?” He didn’t care to express what he had read, automatically connecting the dots on his own.
Minhee never respired, her voice stuck in her chest as the air squeezed her lungs in an agonizing hold.
“What are you talking about, Riki?” Fuck.
Minhee had no time to delay the reaction across the room, Riki taking initiative as he spilled her best-hidden secret. “They’re saying that Minhee is dating Park Sungho.”
Minhee flinched in surprise as a door adjacent to her rooted spot swung open, Sunghoon standing in the doorway with his eyes glaring slits toward’s their sole female member.
“Is it true?” He couldn’t stop himself from asking, his emotions blinding him from the heaviness of the duration. Any other time he would’ve known not to believe these useless accusations, but it was different this time.
Her avoidance made him all more suspicious, his overlooking sense of betrayal filling the holes in his eyes as he shot them straight through her walls.
Minhee finally reacted to the boys surrounding her, her palms coming up to cup around her ears as her nails dug half-moons into her scalp.
Sunghoon’s anger was her tilting point. She could’ve handed anything, anything except for the betrayed look in his eyes.
He was the level-headed one, everyone in the room was well aware of this. This is why it came as a shock when he appeared to be the angriest one, his usual delicate eyes nowhere in sight as the venom seeped in.
“Minhee? Are you okay?” Through her fuzzy vision, she could see Jake standing before her. His arms, in slow motion, reaching out to hold her.
“It’s not true! I promise it’s not true!” Everyone shared a concerned look as their lover began to break down in front of them, her eyes filling with tears as she sunk further into her own hold.
“Minhee-“ Jay tried stepping forward to comfort her, his heart aching at the sight of his girlfriend in pain. He barely took a step before Minhee went rushing out of the room, her feet bare as the door slammed behind her.
“Fuck, Sunghoon I swear to God…” Heeseung angrily shouted at the frozen man, his hands moving on autopilot as he pulled his shoes on.
He swung the front door open, the hinges squeaking due to the sudden force. Before he could close the door he turned his head towards the others standing behind him, “Tell the staff, make sure every single post is taken down.”
Jungwon was the first to call their manager, describing everything that Riki had read off his phone minutes before. The rest followed him, their voices overlapping as they yelled at the receiving end.
They didn’t know everything about the situation, but they knew that they’d stop at nothing until your name was cleared.
Tumblr media
“Have you ever heard of a song called Maneater?”
Minhee jumped at the sudden intrusion, her wide eyes jumping toward the woman leaning against the wall across from her.
Her recognition came almost automatically, the familiar eyes of her former best friend's member meeting her own.
“What?” Minhee wasn’t completely impressed, the impression that the elder woman was poking fun at her clouding over her mind due to the terms of their relationship.
“Maneater, by Nelly Furtado?” The older woman’s jaw dropped in faux shock, her eyes wide as she gasped out loud. She dramatically threw one hand over her forehead, the other fanning her face as she pretended to hyperventilate.
“You know..” Minhee barely bit down the giggle that was threatening to leave her lips, her hand over her lips as stared at the woman dancing and singing in front of her in a dramatic fashion.
“Your smile is too pretty to be kept away.” A finger was pressed against the bottom of Minhee’s chin, her face rising towards the idol in front of her.
“Make them regret messing with you, give them a show they never expected.” The finger left Minhee’s chin, moving up to gently brush against her right eyebrow.
“If they want a maneater, give it to them in the way you know best.” Yunjin stood from her crouched position, her hand stretched out to help Minhee up.
Minhee wrapped her fingers around Yunjin’s, her knees straightening as she rose to a stand.
Yunjin released her hands, fingers coming up in a little finger wave before she turned her back, shoes clicking against the ground as she walked towards her gym bag.
“Remember, you’re Minhee.” Minhee moved her gaze towards the large mirror in front of her, unfamiliar eyes staring back.
“And our Minhee can do anything.” Yunjin was right.
Minhee can do anything, and she was ready to take her own life back into her hands.
The perfect opportunity was just about to fall into place. The card falling from the dealer's hands as it got mixed in with her own scattered deck.
In mere hours she was about to break the internet, a star shooting back with a blinding encore.
Tumblr media
Minhee stood amongst her staff, everyone’s nerves high as they picked and prodded at her outfit- ensuring everything was secure in place.
Her nerves were at an all-time high, her heart racing at the thought of the crowd's faces as soon as she stepped on stage.
Through her anger, Minhee decided to keep this stage a secret from her members.
It’s barely been twelve hours since she ran out of their dorm, eleven since she had her run-in with Yunjin. Her mind was quickly set, a smirk pulling to her face as the song's melody played out from the studio's speakers.
Her entire day shifted, the stars aligning in her favour. Minhee was originally supposed to sing a cover of another song, one that she’d memorized for weeks as she practiced day and night with her team.
It just so happened that this song shared the same rhythm as the one she had chosen before, the sultry moves coincidently fitting her new song.
It was fairly easy to persuade her team, everyone agreeing with excited cheers as they listened to the idol explain her plans. They practiced for hours straight, changing a few moves to replace the awkward move that didn’t look right with the lyrics.
“Minhee, prepare yourself for thirty.” The stage crew began counting from the thirty seconds, Minhee’s nerves disappearing as the cheers grew with the backing music.
Minhee decided to sing the song live, choosing to try and get wanted the impact to hit harder than anyone could imagine. But there was only one problem, one that had the potential to grow into something more.
Minhee got lifted to the stage, her glaring eyes appearing bigger due to the sharp liner outlining her eyes. “Everybody look at me.” She curled a finger towards the camera, a sudden close-up of her smirk shining on the big screen.
Her dancers came up behind her, their fluid moves highlighting hers as her stable vocals echoed across the stadium.
“She’s a maneater, make you work hard.”
Tumblr media
It was an understatement to say that the male members of Enhypen were in shock, their jaws practically touching the ground as they watched Minhee’s performance through a televised broadcast in their room.
“Oh my God?” Sunoo was the first to break the silence, a sly smile growing on his face as his eyes sparkled at the sight. The shocked feeling coursing through his body was replaced with amazement, pride overwhelming his veins.
“Is she really doing that?” Jungwon laughed out loud, his hands clapping in front of him as his eyes never looked away from the screen.
“I think I know what a maneater is now.” Riki finally found some words, a joke falling from his lips as he tried copying Minhee’s complex dance.
The look in her eyes had the eldest members in a trance, Minhee had never made that expression before, and they now wanted nothing more than to see it more.
The remaining staff cheered from around the room, their phones pulled out as they recorded the screen from their positions.
News outlets were already going crazy, Minhee’s performance blowing up before she even finished. But there was only one reaction Minhee was truly looking forward to.
The boy's primal reaction would only come out the second they got home, away from the watchful eyes of everyone around them.
Minhee couldn’t wait, and neither could they.

how the dark blood: engene ver. photocard shoot played out
real quick! i personally don't think that neck kisses have to be racy, like a peck to the neck is brief and innocent
but the one i'm referring to in heeseung's relationship with della is the racy one, whoops.
The Dark Blood, Engene's version album. The most anticipated version among fans and the Enhypen members themselves.
The source behind the members' excitement? A neck-kiss that was supposed to take place.
For the photocard, all members but Niki were set to bear a kiss mark on their neck, with Della's lips serving as the boys' human-stamp and whoever wins rock-paper-scissors as Della's.
Yet the execution was cut short. Very short.
"Kiss here?" Della pointed at the side of Jungwon's neck. The first person appointed was decided by the staff. Perhaps Jungwon was chosen because he was the leader.
His coming-of-age could be an alternate reason. Since he is a recent adult, the staff wanted to check if it works with him.
And of course, there's always a possibility of the choice being completely random.
"Yup, just there. Maybe have it slightly askew," as the creative director and Della discussed placements, the young leader grew more nervous at the thought of his first ever neck-kiss.
"Okay, understood," Della mirror-lessly smeared on a burgundy lipstick, smacking her lips at the camera pointed at them. The rest of the members were all watching from afar, trying to be subtle with how excited they are for their turn. "Ready, Wonie?"
"Mm," Jungwon stretched out his neck for easier access. "Della is gonna make a kiss print on my neck," he explained to the future photoshoot sketch viewers.
"We're all friends here," Della clarified. "This is just bros being bros," as if their fans (or anyone) is gonna believe that.
"It's just a print," Jungwon added, immediately holding his breath when Della's head moved close.
"Like this?" Della asked the creative director.
"Uhh..." he stepped back and thought of it for a second. "It might be too sexy actually. It's a little too... suggestive– too grown up" he hissed with a tilt of his head. "Will buttoning up his shirt help? Jungwon, can you button your shirt?" but even with the slight change in wardrobe, the view was just too provocative.
"I think we have to discard the kiss idea and just switch to vampire bites," the creative director decided. "Unbutton them to how it was before and I'll inform the makeup team of the change. Please scrap this from the video," he informed before walking away.
As a leader, Jungwon was just hoping that his hyungs could get it together and not openly show their disappointment.
"I'll get going now," Della bowed her head and left to join the other members.
"What happened?" Sunghoon asked the girl.
"The kiss thing is scrapped. We're getting vampire bites instead," immediately after, the boys let out a chorus of 'ahh..'s.
Jungwon barely managed to hold in a scoff. It's just one tiny neck kiss, what's the big deal?
Tumblr media
"Ya– how can they just cancel the kiss after testing it out on Jungwon?" Sunghoon groaned and threw his head back. After the shoots, all eight members were left alone in the green room to prep themselves before heading off, and it seems like the oldest five still held some unresolved feelings.
"They said it was too suggestive and sexy," Jungwon explained. "We all agreed that it is, didn't we?"
"I knowww, but couldn't they just make all of us get the mark first and THEN have it removed?" Sunghoon replied. "And while they're at it, NOT remove it from the behind episode?"
"Why? What difference does it ma–" Jungwon was cut off by Jay.
"It's easy for you to say! You were first up!" he pointed with a grin. Sometimes It's hard to tell whether he's actually serious with the second maknae. He usually gives out a smile while saying certain things. "You could quickly snap a few selfies and post it on Weverse or something. What a missed opportunity."
"What?" Jungwon seriously, truly did not understand what the big deal was.
"That's why I should've been first– they should've gone by age or something." Heeseung added with a sigh, manspreading on the sofa. "Della, darling, come here please," he pat his lap.
"No, you're staying here," Jake wrapped his arms around Della, who was already on his lap. "Hyung, if we went by age then Jungwon will be first anyway since he's leader."
"That's not what he meant." Sunoo pushed Jake lightly with a giggle. "Like actually just age without consideration for leader."
"Ah is that so?" Jake monotonously said. "I want a lipstick print in public mannn!" he groaned out loud.
"I already imagined mine to be around here," Sunoo stretched his collar to show his collarbone. "What do you think, hyung?"
"It doesn't matter what we think if you're not getting it at the end of the day," Sunghoon replied, smirking at the pout the younger let out. "I imagined mine to be near my throat."
"Well it doesn't matter when you're not getting it at the end of the day!" Sunoo fired back with wide eyes.
"Ish!" Sunghoon balled up his fist with a grin. "Ya–"
"I wanted mine to be here, kinda," Heeseung distracted the two by pointing on the spot under his ear, just where Jungwon got his.
"Isn't that your sweet spot?" Jake asked. Della immediately scoffed out a laugh at his remark.
"How do you know where Heeseung-oppa's sweet spot is?" she laughed. The female member will never stop teasing her boyfriends about their never-fully-straight behaviour.
"Anyways! I wanted mine around–" Jake tried to change the subject.
"Aish, get over yourselves, hyungs! I wasn't even set to get one," Niki laid his head on Heeseung's lap. "Stop being so horny," ever since he learned the Korean word for 'horny, he's been constantly using it to tease the older members.
"We're not!" the hyuppas and Sunoo protested.
"With no mark on me, I was gonna look left out of the relationship," Niki muttered and closed his eyes.
"We're sorry, Niki," "We're really sorry, we didn't mean to," the members apologised.
"It's totally cool. Besides, if it's the neck kisses you're after, you could all just ask Della for one like any other day, simple as that."
"Of course! You need to give me some once we get home!" Sunghoon pointed at Della.
"Ya, ya, ya– me too! I want neck kisses too!" Jay sat up straight.
"Of course! You can't just leave any of us out!" Heeseung added.
"Why are you leaving me out then-" Niki was cut off by Sunoo.
"It's not your time yettt." he whined.
During times like these, Della usually stays out of the bickering. She can easily put a stop to it, but where's the fun in that?
Without a word, she got off of Jake's lap and made her way over to Niki, where she placed a chaste kiss on his neck.
"YA, YA, YA, YA, YA! What is happening?!" as his hyungs protested, Niki cheered and pulled Della in for a cuddle. Jungwon, Della and Sunoo were the only ones laughing.
'My men are absolutely adorable,' Della thought.
"You're laying on my lap and you do this to me?!" Heeseung playfully yelled at Niki.
"Maknae on top! Maknae on top!" Niki laughed, pointing at Jungwon and himself. Jungwon clapped his hand as he laughed aloud.
Being up first for the shoot has its perks.

Are We Still Friends?
(preview)
Tumblr media
synopsis: Heeseung and you were close friends. Closer than most. Slowly you both realize that maybe being friends has become too difficult. Heeseung struggles to understand his feelings, and you're not sure how long you can wait.
warning/heads up: fluff, angst, flirting, protective+jealous Heeseung, jealousy, and more to come up as I continue writing...
wc: 552 in the preview + tbd for final draft
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Heeseung and you were on your way home after a day out on the beach with some friends.
It was a quiet ride for the most part.
“ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?” by Tyler, The Creator currently playing
“Have fun?”
Heeseung asked, shifting his eyes off the road for a second to glance over at you.
“Lots. We should do this again sometime.”
Heeseung and you had become friends in your freshman year of high school. Your twin brother was the one to introduce the both of you. The two of you had first bonded over your love for music and since then you guys have become inseparable. It’s now your senior year.
“Definitely. Did you see Lola checking me out? She for sure wants me.”
You let out a laugh.
“Yeah, she was totally not laughing at your horrible volleyball skills.”
You say with a hint of sarcasm.
Heeseung pinches your thigh.
“Watch it. I’ll tell your brother you’re being mean to me.”
You flinch and instinctively slap his hand away.
“I’ll tell him that you keep on harassing me.”
Heeseung clutches his heart.
“Oh no. I’m so scared.”
This time you both burst out laughing.
“Okay, I think I’m going to take a nap. We still have a pretty long way to get home and I’m burnt out.”
You start to recline your seat and shift to face the window.
“I’m going to think you don’t like me y/n if you turn away from me like that.”
Rolling your eyes you change your position to look at him.
“I know you think I’m pretty and all but your obsession with being able to see my face at all times is concerning.”
Did I mention Heeseung and you liked to playfully flirt?
“This is why I can’t get a girlfriend, you’re over here acting like mine.”
You reach for his hand that’s resting on the stick.
“But Heeseung I thought I was your girlfriend?”
You say looking at him with your best puppy eyes.
“Please stop I’m going to start believing you’re in love with me or something.”
He says swatting your hand away and giving you a playful smile.
Instead of leaving him alone, you decided to tease him a bit more–just like all best friends do, right?
You stretch out your hand and slowly start tracing your finger along his arm.
“How did you know? Oh, Heeseung I am so totally in love with you.”
As you continue tracing your finger along his arm, you feel him tense up at what you just said to him.
“Oh my, you must be so happy to hear me confess my love to you! Aren’t you? It’s okay Heeseung many boys li-”
Before you have the opportunity to keep rambling he grabs your hand and places it on the stick, he then puts his hand on top of yours.
You’re in shock and look up at his face.
He’s still smiling.
“Had to make you stop one way or another. Go to sleep miss, and stop flirting with me just to get my attention.”
And with that, you don’t speak anymore. Not because you don’t want to, but you just don’t know what to say. Your eyes slowly close and Heeseung is the last thing you see before you drift off to sleep.

[ 6:35 PM | YUMI'S ROOM | YUHOON ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
tw: body shaming, unhealthy diet, yumi is told to loose weight ( in an unhealthy way ) when she was a kid, crying, cursing, yumi's mom is a horrible mom, pls lmk if i missed anything !!!
Tumblr media
yumi was exhausted.
the reason for yumi's exhaustion wasn't the usual factors: practice, interviews, studio sessions, etc. it was her mother.
she had called to congratulate yumi on her magazine shoot with vouge korea, a dream of hers since she was a little girl. her call was surprising, considering the fact she never called for anything unless she needed money. but regardless, yumi answered the call in hopes of it not turning out like all their other phone calls: in a dispute.
“im only saying that you should loose a little weight, yumi.” her mother argumented from the other side of the phone, “you won't be hired for another magazine shoot if you keep putting on more weight.”
the younger sighed, running her hands through her hair, “i put on that weight intentionally, mom,” yumi explained, exasperated, “i was getting alarmingly skinny, it wasn't healthy.”
her mother grumbled, her words barely audible, “didn't you learn anything from the years you spent modeling? skinny is what sells best.”
in that moment, yumi felt like she was back at her old modeling agency. tears were streaming down her face as her agent screamed about how she hadn't lost the weight they had told her to loose.
“but i just can't loose it!” the 10 year old girl choked out between cries, “i've tried but nothing works, unnie.”
the woman scoffed, rolling her eyes, “well, try harder. i will be calling your mother to inform her about your inability to follow orders.”
“are you even paying attention to me, yumi?” her mother hissed, “i swear, you never pay attention to me when i speak.”
yumi snapped back to reality, realizing she had been suppressing her tears all while her mother went on her rant. her head was pounding from the force of keeping her tears from falling. the pain made her dizzy, she felt like she was going to faint at any moment.
“mom, i have to go. call you some other time.”
with that yumi hung up the call, quickly throwing her phone on her bed. she stared at it for a second, taking it all in. her eyes started to well up with tears, the sour memories of her agent screaming at her about her weight rushing into her mind.
yumi had suppressed those memories, so much so, they took her by surprise. the memories seemed so fresh in her brain, it was draining. she tried so hard to not let the tears fall, but the lump in he throat and her sped up heart beat made it increasingly difficult to do so.
“fuck-” yumi whispered as a single tear rolled down her cheek, “no, no, no-” she felt the tears start running down her face, she was breaking down.
her soft cries slowly started turned into sobs, increasingly getting louder. yumi slowly walked over to her bed, where she threw herself on. grabbing her teddy bear, she hugged it as a form of consultation but the tears wouldn't stop. her cries only got louder.
“yuyu?” a soft voice called out for from her bedroom door. the younger sat up in her bed, looking over to her door to see sunghoon. his eyes met her puffy ones and his face scrunched in confusion.
“what happened? why are you crying?” he questioned, quickly making his way over to her bed and taking a seat in front of her.
yumi knew couldn't say anything without a sob escaping her lips, but tried nonetheless, “my mom called.” she whispered, tears still streaming down her cheeks.
sunghoon's face went from confused to sad, a frown forming on his lips as he scoot closer to the girl, “oh, yuyu.” he whipped the tears from her cheeks and tucked that annoying strand of hair behind her ear.
he didn't have to hear what her mother said to know she had, yet again, body shammed yumi. it wasn't the first time she had called just to bombard her daughter with unnecessary comments about her body. sunghoon had been present the first time it happened, it was awful to see how degrading the comments were. when the call ended, yumi was close to tears and him, together with the other members, had to do damage control. but even though this wasn't the first time it had happened, she had never left her daughter sobbing.
yumi stared at the older boy for a second before collapsing on him, sobbing into his chest. he let out a small gasp, the action took him by surprise. he wrapped his arms around the girl, soothingly rubbing her back, “its okay, I'm here.”
he knew she would be crying for a while, he was mentally prepared to be there for a good while but he didn't mind. he just wanted for her to feel better, it broke his heart into a thousand pieces seeing her like this. he couldn't phantom the thought of her own mother telling her those comments, knowing it tore the girl down. he only hoped that his presence would help soothing, even if it wasn't much.

⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚ RELATIONSHIPS IN ENHYPEN
Tumblr media
⋆˚࿔synopsis-ೃ⁀➷₊ how Athena is with each member and cute habits they have for each other
Jungwon
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ the kitty duo! Always doing cat poses together every chance they get along with randomly meowing at each other. There’s this viral clip of the two during a group live where they just started meowing at each other, and the members just let the two be not bothering them
𑄽౿ “Athena Athena~” Jungwon sometimes sings Athena’s name cutely to get her attention or whenever he wants to cuddle. While Athena rubs her cheek on his shoulder when she wants his attention
𑄽౿ physical touch is the duo’s love language; back hugs, holding hands, cuddling, and head pats
𑄽౿ whenever they have to face each other while performing they make cute faces towards each other trying to make one of them laugh
𑄽౿ always is the one to break Niki and her’s playing fighting because he wants to make sure Niki isn’t going too rough on her
Heeseung
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ enhypen’s centers since the iland days. The two would always be voted as centers and with that came one of Athena’s many viral lines, “damn, I guess we’re just that good.” She said with a jokingly cocky tone while shrugging making everyone laugh
𑄽౿ even though they are close now back then they were always competing with each other during iland, and the show didn’t shy away from showing those vulnerable moments. With those moments the two grew closer after understanding and clearing up the tension between them
𑄽౿ love spending their money by shopping whenever they travel outside of Korea
𑄽౿ Athena loves annoying him because she knows he could never be actually mad at her, it’s the goddess treatment she gets from the members
𑄽౿ the two always in the studio together creating music and helping the members while recording their songs
Jay
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ Athena is Jay’s little taste tester whenever he cooks, she sits on the counter and just watches him cook. True cat energy she’s giving
𑄽౿ they both sometimes randomly start dancing and even have little dance battles just cause
𑄽౿ have deep conversations when they drink or go out to eat together, they either talk about the future or what they want to accomplish within themselves
𑄽౿ is protective of Athena towards hate comments or rude interactions that she faces during in person events
𑄽౿ they constantly hype each other up no matter what they’re doing, but they mostly do it during variety shows and concerts
Jake
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ english representatives of enhypen! They mostly talk to each other in english sometimes they like talking “shit” (their joking) about a member to see if they understand
𑄽౿ Athena always asks about Layla and demands to see new pictures that his family sends to him. She definitely went crazy when Jake brought Layla to the Hybe building
𑄽౿ when they have time the two like playing soccer together and Jake taught Athena all the terms and rules since he used to play
𑄽౿ sometimes when Jake gets too excited Athena has to back away which engenes compare them with videos of cats backing away from the over excited dog
𑄽౿ Jake admires Athena a lot because of her skills and her kind personality because during iland when he felt like he was behind Athena would notice and immediately start helping him
Sunghoon
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ Athena brings Sunghoon out of his shell with her straightforwardness either it’s her playing around with him or sometimes opening flirting with him
𑄽౿ Athena has a habit to always hug Sunghoon’s arm whenever she’s feeling excited, or anxious which leads to him pulling her into a hug because he knows she might be having a panic attack
𑄽౿ watches Sunghoon figure skate with heart eyes which engenes and the members love pointing it out because it flusters Athena
𑄽౿ Sunghoon is also protective of Athena and always guides her away from danger
𑄽౿ he is another member that Athena shares her love language of physical touch with the only difference is that she sometimes shares sneaky kisses with him
Sunoo
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ the ✨babygirls✨of the group for sure
𑄽౿ will be caught gossiping in the back of vlogs or whispering to each other during award shows
𑄽౿ Athena warmed up to Sunoo the fastest back in iland causing them to be the closest during that time, they were each other’s rock
𑄽౿ always serving in their selcas creating iconic poses that fans and some idols recreate to post
𑄽౿ Athena is Sunoo’s #1 defender, when a member is messing with Sunoo she’s ready to start fighting or scolding them
Niki
Tumblr media
𑄽౿ Athena doesn’t really treat Niki like a baby more like a little annoying brother that she loves dearly
𑄽౿ they always start play fighting and the members have to remind Niki to be careful with Athena, and can’t rough house with her like how he can with one of the boys
𑄽౿ they’re a sneaky duo when it comes to playing games either on variety shows or on en-o clock. Athena always finds a way to cheat and brings Niki along with her
𑄽౿ Athena tries to speak in Japanese to Niki and make Japanese dishes just so he doesn’t feel too homesick
𑄽౿ TikTok dance duo! Engenes always looks forward to dance challenges with the two because they eat it up every time

ʬʬʬ. 2024 pairing. nishimura riki x femoc!member req. nk getting jealous of ml with other 05-liners cw. jealousy, kabedon, teasing ( LIBRARY )
Tumblr media
RIKI NEVER THOUGHT HE WOULD SEE THE DAY WHERE he would be third-wheeling on his own date, but that was before he and Mila bumped into Harua and Taki while they were out and about on what was supposed to be a romantic outing with just the two of them.
Make no mistake, Riki was good friends with the two of them and had nothing against them personally. He was even glad to see them, happy to be reunited with his fellow 05’-liners. But somehow, it seemed they were a lot happier to see Mila than they were to see him — and that Mila was unusually happy to see them, too.
Since when were they close? Riki thought with a pout as he watched Mila reach up to ruffle Harua’s hair.
“How have you been?” Mila asked in a sweet tone, mirroring how one would speak to a baby or a cute puppy they come across on the road. It was one that was usually reserved for her boyfriends — the younger ones, especially — and so Riki was astounded to hear her use it on the Japanese male. Even more so when she cooed as Harua nodded happily. “Ah, what even? Why are you so cute?”
Cute? Cute? Riki clenched his jaw the slightest bit as he watched Mila smile at him with those eyes of hers, laughing at something he had said. Riki continued to stare at her, as if it would magically make her look his way. But the woman was none the wiser.
Now, Riki was not the possessive type, nor was he the type to be jealous of his girlfriend having male friends. But he couldn’t deny the twist in his gut as Mila continued to pay attention to the other two males while he stood right there, waiting for her to tell him that she was ready to resume their date.
Riki licked the insides of his cheek. He crossed his arms and looked down at the floor, nodding along to whatever the three were talking about so as not to seem rude. But his foot was tapping subconsciously, his eyes flickering to the time displayed on the face of his watch.
“By the way, were you two heading somewhere?” Taki asked, looking between the couple. “We’ll leave you to it, if that’s the case.”
“Huh? That’s okay! We don’t mind, right Ni-ki?” Mila blinked up at Riki, reminding the tall male of how small she looked in comparison to him. But while he would usually smirk at their height difference, he found himself noticing something else.
Ni-ki? Ever since they started dating, Mila never called him by anything other than his first name and a choice collection of pet names. He looked at Taki and he realised why. But still… It wasn’t like they would be confused— Taki would already know by default who Mila was talking about. She was only one of very few people who ever called him by his birth name these days, it felt too distancing for her to refer to him by his stage name— that was what everyone else called him, after all.
“Still,” Taki said, cutting through Riki’s thoughts like a blade, “we shouldn’t hold you back for too long— we have somewhere to be as well, so we’ll let you go now.”
Mila hummed. She nodded understandingly thought it was obvious she wasn’t too eager to let the duo go, given how she patted Harua’s arm, giving it a gentle squeeze as he bowed and departed. She sighed, waving at the duo as they walked away. “He’s just so cute…”
“I know,” Riki deadpanned, the smile he offered Taki and Harua as they left skipping form his face. “You only mentioned it like three times already.” He shoved his hands in the pockets of his jacket, before turning on his heels. “Come on.”
Mila blinked before trialing after the young man like a puppy nipping at his heels, her wide eyes looking up at him in question. “Hey,” she called softly, her hand tugging on the sleeve of her jacket. “Are you okay?”
Riki scoffed under his breath. Who would be okay after they had to watch their girlfriend fawn over another man, even going as far as to call him ‘cute’? And when they were supposed to be going out as a couple, at that. He clocked his tongue as he pettily ignored her calls, instead speeding up his steps.
“Oh… Wait a minute, are you jealous?” When Riki didn’t respond, Mila giggled. “Really? I didn’t think you’d be that jealous, considering you hate being called cute… But you know, the way you’re acting right now is really cute too.” Mila smiled as she skipped alongside his long strides. He still refused to look at her, causing her to become even more endeared by his behaviour. “Hey, Ni-ki—!”
Riki clicked his tongue. In one smooth movement, he seized Mila’s wrist, pulling her into the emergency staircase that they happened to pass as they walked towards the exit of the Hybe building. Mila gasped at the sudden movement. She momentarily lost her balance, flailing forward at the sudden force. But before she could fall over, Riki trapped her between his body and the firm wall against her back — one hand on the wall above her and the other on her waist.
Mila froze, eyes wide as she stared up at him, breath caught in her throat at the sudden proximity. She swallowed thickly. “W-what are you doing…?”
It was meant to come to stern, scolding even. Yet under the heat of his gaze and his towering figure, the words came out breathless — just like what she felt in that moment. “It’s Riki.”
Mila gasped like a fish. “What?”
Riki smirked slightly at her flustered expression, taking on the redness of her cheeks and her avoidant gaze. But he schooled his expression before she could notice his amusement. “Call my name,” he said lowly, his deep voice causing Mila to melt on the spot. “You keep calling me ‘Ni-ki,’ earlier. But that’s not what you usually call me.”
Mila licked her lips, feeling that they had gotten dry. Riki subconsciously followed the action with his eyes, watching the way her pink lips parted to enunciate the syllables of his name. “Riki—”
His name barely left her lips before Riki’s were pressed against hers. The hand on her waist flitted to her jaw, tilting it upwards to allow him more access, his plump lips covering his in a kiss that could only be described as a stamp of longing— too firm to be tender, but too soft to be passionate. Just his mouth on hers filling her tummy with butterflies and making her knees buckle.
By the time Riki separated from her, she was reduced to a blushing mess under his smug smile. “That’s better,” he said. He raised a hand to stroke to stroke top of her head. “Noona’s a good girl.”
“What?” Mila stammered. He never called her Noona, but when he did, it was always intentional. Mila pushed his chest, but Riki noticed she didn’t use any force, instead resting her hands there helplessly — as if he had kissed all the strength out of her. “You spend too much time with Jake,” Mila muttered, avoiding his gaze.
Jake was right when he said that Riki seemed to only learn strange things from his hyungs — flirting, included. The man winked, a charming smile crossing his face, ironically proving Mila’s point. She sighed resting her head against his chest, her heart racing wildly against her own.
Riki was no bad boy, but with the way things were going, he definitely could turn out to be… Bad for Mila’s heart, that is.

ISEULLIE: sora check out this video LOL it’s hilarious
ISEULLIE: [link]
Sora stares down at her phone, the YouTube video thumbnail staring back up at her. scorpioz being scorpioz, the title said with the thumbnail saying ‘sorajake being sorajake’. Her brows furrow, eyes darting between the picture of her and Jake mid-laugh, staring at one another over the heads of the other boys.
She curiously clicks the link, and it’s a matter of fifteen seconds before she’s giggling at her phone. She never responds to Iseul until later. In her head, she can’t even hear the bustling noise of Jay making lunch for the group and her members shouts— not that she paid much mind to it, anyway. She grew up as the only girl in a family full of boys, she could typically deal with the noise. The video sends her into a whole new world of Engene made videos of the group, mostly watching the ones concerning her. Almost every video she watches includes Jake. A lot.
She’s never realized how much she really talks to or about Jake. Yes, she’s thought about the ‘what if?’ question that Jake was never in her life and how she’d deal without him. (Her answer: She couldn’t.) But for there to be so many parts to a video series titled “Reasons to Ship JakeSora” was a bit ridiculous.
A knock on her door interrupts her watching, making her sit up in shock before she quickly swipes out of the app and clears her throat, glancing around her room for anything out of place— as if that would tell on her for watching fan made videos of her and her members. Oh, she thinks she’d genuinely die if she was caught. She can never do that again.
“Come in,” she says, hoping the person behind the door wouldn’t notice the waver in her voice. The knob turns and the door opens, revealing Jake standing with a cup of steaming hot ramen in hand. She blinks. Speak of the devil …
Jake grins that stupid crooked smile, kicking the door shut behind him gently. “You haven’t eaten all day, are you going on strike?” Amusement shines in his eyes and she rolls her eyes, an automatic response at this point. He’s almost as bad as Sunghoon, she swears. He holds out the ramen and a pair of chopsticks to her.
“Just too lazy to get up,” she manages to bite back a grin as her lips threaten to twitch. She takes it carefully, blowing on it gently and looks up at the older boy. “Thank you.” She tries not to spit the words out as if they’re poison, but old habits die hard.
Jake notices, but he doesn’t mention it. “Do you want to go watch a movie?” He asks instead, seemingly holding his breath for her reaction.
Sora smiles slightly, feeling her heart warming in her chest, “Yeah, what are we gonna watch?” She grabs her phone and ramen, shoving the phone in her pajama shorts for a free hand.
“I meant, like,” he waves his hand at her, fumbling for the words, “Outside. At a theater.” He then hastily clarifies, “With me.”
“In public?” Sora blinks, surprised. He wants to go out in public with her where it’s inevitable for a fan or some to catch them. Yes, they were seen in public all the time but that was when it was for a schedule. He nods silently.
Strangely enough, to her, it was more intimate to be seen out together without any staff or other members. It meant that he wanted to be seen with her in public.
For a brief, panicky moment, her heart stops at the thought.
Swallowing the taste in her mouth with a bite of ramen, she slowly nods, “Okay. What movie?”
Jake proceeds to ramble on about the movie, what it was about, who was starring in it, what he liked about the trailer. She tries to listen, she really does— but she suddenly finds his lips a lot more interesting. Without even meaning to, her eyes keep dropping from his eyes to his mouth, watching as he’d momentarily pull his bottom lip between his teeth as he thought about something before saying it.
Horror suddenly fills her chest once she realizes what she’s doing, eyes widening and a small gasp leaving her mouth. Jake, who hears, stops, looking at her in concern, “What? What is it?”
Sora’s face goes blank. “Nothing, the ramen just burned my tongue.”
Jake looks more concerned now, “Shit, I’m sorry, Sora.” He starts to lean forward and she tenses, looking at him with wide eyes as he … tries to inspect her mouth? What the hell was happening? Why was he so concerned? “Is your tongue OK? Let me see—”
Sora was already panicked with how close he was— imagine how much that tripled when he cupped her cheek and tried to urge her to open her mouth. Her heart pounding was so loud in her ears that it blocked out everything else Jake was saying. She didn't know what she was thinking, all she knew was that she had to get away from him and fast, preferably before her heart burst out of her chest.
In her haste to get away, she completely forgot about the cup of ramen in her lap and didn’t secure it before jolting up. With a painful gasp, the ramen tips over and spills over her clothes and bed. To prevent from letting out any other painful mutters, she bit down on her tongue— hard. It wasn’t as bad as she had previously said it was, but it was still warm— warm enough to hurt badly.
“Shit! Sora—” Jake bolts up after her, looking at her soaked clothes with wide eyes. “Fuck, fuck— are you OK?!” He doesn’t wait for her reply before he’s shouting out into the dorm, “Hyung! Jay! Jungwon! Sora’s hurt!”
Oh, don’t tell them that, Jake! A voice in her head groans. She never wants to worry them.
Sora faintly notices the lull of conversation from the boys outside, before she hears multiple loud footsteps rushing towards her room. She shakes her head as her door is pushed open, revealing the rest of her members crowded in the doorway. Jay pushed himself to the front, closely followed by Heeseung and Sunghoon with wide, frantic eyes.
She tries to reassure them that she’s OK, that it’s just a little spill, and a little of a burning, but nothing she’s never handled before. But their voices are overlapping, asking what happened, if she was OK, and Jungwon was rushing in with two towels, quickly wrapping one around her and putting one on the floor to clean up the ramen.
Sora blinks at the noise, getting tired of hearing the same questions so she huffs, raising her voice as she shouts, “Shut up!”
The boys shut up. Sunghoon, even in his worry, manages to raise his eyebrows and point a finger at him as if to ask, “Me?”
She breathes out, looking down at her now dirty clothes, “Thank you. I’m fine. It’s just a little spill.”
“A little spill?” Heeseung asks in disbelief, “Your skin’s red because of how hot it is, Sora.”
She looks down again, tilting her head to see the redness Heeseung claims to see. “Huh.” She murmurs, seeing how unusually red her skin was. “Well … It doesn’t feel that bad.”
“You’re going to feel it in a minute,” Jay quickly grabs her by the wrist gently, pulling her out of her room, passing by the concerned Sunoo and Niki. Her skin tingles where he grabs her, and she’s not so sure the redness on her skin is from the ramen anymore. “Hurry, go take a shower— No hot water. We’ll clean this up, don’t worry.”
“Oh, no, really, I’m fine,” Sora laughs lightly, shaking her head, “Like, it’s really not even that bad—”
Sunghoon doesn’t even bother letting her finish her sentence, picking her up and basically dragging her to the bathroom. She can feel Jake’s apologetic and worried eyes on her as she’s dragged out of her own room. “Hey!” She quickly hits him lightly on the shoulder, “Let me go!”
“Alright,” he shrugs, letting Niki push open the bathroom door and quickly shoves her in. She whirls around just in time for the bathroom door to shut in her face.
Her mouth drops open, “Sunghoon!”
“Sunghoon Oppa,” he corrects.
“You earn that title!” Sora hits the door lightly, trying to wiggle the doorknob, but it doesn’t open, “Let me out! I’m OK, please don’t clean it up, I’ve got it!”
“Already started,” Niki’s voice comes through the door, “Too late. Get in the shower before it gets worse, noona, please.”
“Don’t be dumb,” Jungwon chastises her lightly next, “You know it’s the smart thing to do.” She can’t help but feel appalled, again.
“But—”
“No buts!” She can hear Heeseung shout from her room.
Sora resists the urge to throw a tantrum like she would have nearly six years ago. She sighs, the warmth now a dull ache. “I don’t even have clothes to change into!”
“We’ll get you new clothes,” Sunoo reassures her from outside the door now.
“Don’t go through my room!” She says loudly, starting off as a shriek before she forces herself to quieten down. It reminded her too much of her old self. “Just let me out and I’ll—”
“Let you out so you can lock yourself in another room?” Sunghoon sounds somehow both amused and serious now, and she has no idea how, “Get in the shower, Sora.”
“I’ll get you clothes, Sora,” Sunoo says gently, then there was a light thump on the door. She wonders if he’s resting his head on the door like she is. (He is.) “Don’t worry, I won’t snoop or anything.”
“I know, but …” Her voice is uncharacteristically weak, “Just … Get me a shirt and pants, please. I’ll get the rest …” She feels awkward saying it, her brothers were far too young to even want to help her with anything. She wasn’t used to this, being taken care of. She didn’t like it. She also just didn’t want any of the boys going through her room and finding things she never wanted them to see.
There’s a pause, and then footsteps walk away from the bathroom door, but she can tell one or two people are still on the opposite side.
“Sunoo’s getting your clothes,” Sunghoon murmurs, and there’s another pause, “Don’t be stubborn. You know we just want to help.” His footsteps then walk away, too, and she finally relaxes, swallowing as she turns to face the bathroom mirror. The mirror is slightly still fogged from whoever took a shower earlier, and she swipes at it with her hand to look at her body clearly.
She winces at the redness on her arms and thighs, knowing from experience that it would hurt way less later on. She had no idea how she was going to explain this to their managers.
“Sora,” she jumps when she heard Jake’s soft voice on the other side, turning as if she could see him. She slowly walks closer to the door as he says, “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean for it to spill on you.”
“It’s OK,” she shakes her head, frowning to herself. “It wasn’t your fault at all, I’m the one who spilled it.”
“But I brought it to you—”
“It should’ve been on the table,” Sora says it like it’s final, leaving no room for an argument. Jake doesn’t reply for a moment and she wonders if he left, but she didn’t hear him walk away.
“Still, it must’ve hurt a lot,” Jake insists.
“I’m used to it,” the words come out of her mouth before she can even think it through. She visibly recoils once she realizes, mouth parting in shock as she starts to frantically look around as if it’d give her an excuse on why she said that. “I— Uh—”
“What do you mean?” Jake asks, his tone being mixed of confusion and cautiousness, and she can imagine him standing on the other side with that cute confused look he gets. She curses herself for somehow managing to think about something like that in a situation like this. It’s just the videos getting to her, she knows it.
Sora sighs, “I just mean I’ve been cooking for a long time, remember? My mom taught me young.” Kind of, but this time she keeps the truth to herself.
“Oh, right,” Jake laughs, sounding relieved. “You know, I thought for a second …” Don’t say it, don’t say it. “You know what? Nevermind. Just … I’m sorry, OK?” Before they can get into another little argument over the same topic, she hears his footsteps walking away.
Sora wants to scream. Her face falls into her hands, slumping against the door. Her hand comes back and lightly smacks herself on the head, “Why, why, why …” So stupid of her to be so careless. They didn’t need to know anything in her home life. That was a mistake.
Why did she feel so compelled to just spill her guts out to Jake? That was the last thing she needed was for him to know anything in general. Sure, the basic stuff about her was fine, but he, nor the others, needed to know anything about her home life. She knew they’d overreact, and she just wanted life to slow down a bit so she could catch her breath.
Forcing herself off the door, she sighs loudly and starts the cold water.
Tumblr media
Sora really can’t understand why she’s doing this to herself.
She really does try her best to not avoid Jake the next few days, she doesn’t want him thinking she blames him for the spill, but she also just … needs space. Every time he touches or jokingly flirts with her, even when he just talks to her or says her name, her heart starts pounding and her face gets warm. She’s tired of it, and needs a break. So if she stays close to Sunoo or Heeseung for the majority of the next week, he doesn’t think anything of it.
It’s the middle of the week, and ENHYPEN are at dance practice, already practicing for their first comeback despite still in the middle of promotions for Given-Taken. Sora is ever so unsuspecting, pushing her hair back up with a ponytail as the only sound in the room was her and her members’ loud out of breath panting. The choreographer claps once, “Good job, guys. See you tomorrow, yeah?”
Sora forces herself to respectfully bow as her members do, waving goodbye to the staff and choreographer that leave. The only people in the room now are the group and their managers, Wooseok and Hyosun, and she glances around to see that Wooseok is calling someone and Hyosun is texting. She turns to look for her water bottle that was no longer in the same place it was before, but is startled when two water bottles were presented to her at the same time.
Feeling a creeping sense of dread, she presses her lips together and looks up, finding both Jay and Jake holding out bottles of water to her. She glances between the two, who glance at her and then to the waters and then to each other. Both of their hands move like they’re going to take it back, but when they both catch what the other is doing, they freeze.
“Um,” Sora murmurs, feeling awkward as her face heats up, mostly out of embarrassment and slightly flustered. She doesn’t like the position she’s in, at all. She notices movement in the corner of her eye and turns her head to see Niki holding up her lilac water bottle in his hand slightly from his spot against the wall. “Yeah, thanks but …” She gestures to Niki, quickly grabbing it from him and starting to chug it down. Half because she really was thirsty, the other half because she wanted to ignore the situation.
Avoiding eye contact with the other members, who were watching the awkward moment, she sits in between Heeseung and Sunoo. Pressing the cool bottle against her cheek, she waits a few moments before looking back up to see if anyone was still staring at her.
Her eyes connect with Jay’s and she abruptly turns her head back to the floor, feeling her face get impossibly hot, even with the water bottle. She feels like she just got caught doing something she shouldn’t have done.
There had to be something seriously wrong with her.
“Your face is really red,” Heeseung whispers from beside her, and she turns her head to stare at him. He blinks. She blinks before turning her head back to the floor.
“Yeah, we just got done practicing,” she mutters, swallowing. She’s afraid if she stares any longer, he’ll be able to know what she’s thinking.
Here’s the thing— Sora isn’t dumb. She was placed in the top three of her class, and she was sure to get into any university she wanted. She’s also been in a relationship before, she’s had plenty of crushes— she knows. But she can’t.
Not when they’re her members.
If it were anyone else, she wouldn’t think much into it and would let it pan out.
And it wasn’t even just one of them. It was two. She really was proving netizens right. And she hated it. So what was she going to do?
Ignore it and hope it goes away. And if not, well … She was pretty sure that plan would work. She didn’t want to think about what would happen if it didn’t.
As long as she remains strictly platonic with her members, everything would be fine. She’s worked too damn hard to get where she is now, she’s been through two survival shows, and she wasn’t going to go on another one again. She would succeed in her dream.
Still, she seems to forget that the heart wants what it wants.

✧. ┊ "...hi! Aohi!" Xiulin shook the girl's arm, effectively bringing Aohi from the confines of her mind.
"I'm losing you here, c'mon!" Xiulin spoke, worried for Aohi. The girl looked up dazed, trying to wrap her head around reality. "I'm sorry, I was thinking..-"
"Find yourself, batsy." Xiulin held the girl's cheek, her eyebrows furrowed. "The manager texted me, she wants to see you."
Aohi looks at Xiulin, trying to figure out if her unnie was trying to mess with her. "So.."
"So, what? We have to get you there, like, now!" Xiulin spoke, Aohi wasn't really sure what she was doing prior. Aohi just agreed, feeling the car start to move, leaving their separate photoshoot to arrive at the HYBE building as fast as possible.
"Are we actually serious?" Aohi asked after a while, pushing herself into her seat, as if wanting to disappear within the leather seat.
"I wouldn't joke about this, batsy, especially this early into our career." Xiulin glanced at the younger girl, feeling for her hand, to comfort her somewhat.
"I don't want to go, unnie, what if it's something bad?" Aohi mumbled to the older girl beside her. "It won't be bad, it'll be okay. "
Aohi could only hope it was.

BE:LIFT meeting room, 9:40 pm. —
✧. ┊ There was a growing pit in Aohi's stomach the closer she got to the meeting room, in all honesty, all Aohi wanted was to go home, she's had a long day of shoots and she was in desperate need for a nap.
Aohi walks into the meeting room, and she makes eye contact with Sunoo. Aohi seems to click in her head what the meeting was about, and it took everything in her body not to groan about it.
She politely bowed to Sunoo, before taking the vacant chair next to him. Aohi knew the chair was specifically for her, for one, it was the only chair vacant, second, she notices their manager practically pointing at her to sit.
"Go on, sit."
Aohi hesitantly nods, and she's slightly intimidated by the way their manager said that, she places her small bag onto the table, awkwardly smiling at Sunoo.
"Let's see here..." Aohi and Sunoo watch as the manager looked through their folder, glancing at the papers inside for a few moments before slamming it closed, the loud sound startling the two, obviously tensed members.
"What is your guys' problem?" The manager suddenly asked, staring at the two, expecting an answer, and Aohi was startled by the manager's sudden aggressive question.
Aohi felt like a scolded puppy, her tail between her legs as Sunoo tries to form words to reply to their manager.
"What.. could you possibly mean?" Sunoo asked with hesitance, he wondered what their manager could mean, and you could say he was playing dumb, because Aohi had a hunch that he knew as clear as she did what the manager was implying.
"Five months, we gave you exactly five, to fix whatever discourse you and the girls had," The manager motions with their hands towards Sunoo and Aohi.
"We thought, you'd all be mature enough to move forward from being awkward groupmates to an actual co-ed group," Aohi could feel herself hold onto her hands, applying pressure to her palms, as if it'll help alleviate the anxiousness in her heart.
"First off, all we had to do the last few days was not mess up the promotion for Manifesto, it was all I asked, remember?" Their manager asks, and Aohi and Sunoo make the reflex of nodding their heads, deciding to agree rather than argue.
"Then explain the performance yesterday night." Aohi's mouth feels glued shut, not wanting to speak about it in fear of what she'll say. "It was nothing but a mistake!-" The manager silences Sunoo, putting their hand up, and Sunoo can't help but shut up.
"Aohi, did you really have to trip over Sunoo?" Aohi is suddenly put in the spotlight, and she processes what has been asked of her, and she's perplexed.
Sure, she disliked most of her male members, but she wouldn't ruin their image like that, Aohi genuinely made a mistake!
"I didn't mean to do that, really!" Aohi set her ground, denying their manager's accusation. She's somewhat offended that their manager would even think that Aohi was the type of person to sabotage her own group out of pettiness.
"I don't think she meant it either, she was genuinely sorry to me." Sunoo's eyebrows are furrowed, listening to the conversation with a confused expression.
Maybe his hyungs didn't like her, Aohi might've also intimidated him, and he doesn't know Aohi well, but he can sense the girl wasn't the type to ruin any of their hard work.
And Sunoo knew better than to stand by and let Aohi be accused of sabotage.
"Aohi, I understand that the whole situation is not ideal but-" — "I really didn't do it!" Aohi pleads, and her hands almost clasp together to beg their manager to believe her.
"And how do you intend to prove that to the fans?"
Aohi tries to make up an excuse, but the manager's words hit her like a truck. Aohi didn't think of that night, a trait of ignoring things until they got better or worse.
Her throat dries at the idea of fans already disliking her when she hasn't even debuted for a month!
"The fans are already ripping into you, Aohi, your first co-ed album hasn't been out for three weeks and we can't help it if fans start to protest for the co-ed project shut down.."
"Engenes will understand, don't make her feel any worse! Don't blame her for making a rookie mistake." Sunoo felt frustration boil in his veins.
Their manager looks at Sunoo, and they take note of the subconscious hand in front of Aohi, as if protecting her. The manager decides to make a choice for Aohi and Sunoo.
The manager stays silent for a little bit, and Aohi glances at them, seeing them sigh into their fist as they started to grab their stuff. Aohi feels her heartbeat increase the more they moved around her.
"If you're right, and Aohi really didn't mean to make that mistake, we will try to do damage control." The manager spoke their thoughts after a while. "Aohi, apologize to Sunoo for injuring him and do better in your performances.."
Aohi bows to the manager, thanking them for their understanding, "Yes, I'm sorry, really!-" — "And.. Be more conscious of what you do, if you ruin your reputation, we're willing to cut you off to save our own."
Sunoo looks towards Aohi, and he's in distaste the way Aohi lets their manager blame her, when accidents happen all the time.
"I wasted my time, don't do anything stupid again girl, you understand?"
Aohi nods at these words despite it leaving a bitter taste in her mouth, she spoke soft apologies to the manager, "yes, I understand, I'll do better."
The manager leaves the room, and Aohi feels like she could breathe again, but this also gives Sunoo an opportunity to turn to her, and his lips open.
"Yah! Why'd you let them to talk to you like that?" Sunoo demanded to know why, wondering why Aohi was prone to letting anyone tell her she's in the wrong.
"You knew yourself it wasn't intentional, but you apologized like it was! How could you give up on your ground so quickly!" Sunoo scolded, and Aohi sighs, sitting back down and letting the older boy yell at her.
She could feel her heart beating against her chest like crazy, it felt like any faster, it would go up her throat.
Sunoo goes quiet as Aohi just allows him to scold her like his mother does, and he notices her silent sigh, Sunoo feels perplexed that Aohi could just allow anyone to scold her any way they saw fit.
"Are you okay?"
Aohi glances up at Sunoo, and she wonders if there was anyone else in the room asking the question. Aohi looks down at her hands before shrugging.
"Do you just let your management scold you like this, is this why you agreed to the project?" Sunoo asked, and he feared the worse for the girl, knowing she was a teenager like him, it would hurt his heart, already ready to empathize.
"What?- No, I just... I'm tired, hyung." Aohi spoke. "And it's nothing like that back there, they treated me the best they could, so don't say that."
"So was that your first time being scolded by management then?" Sunoo mustered, swaying side from side with his chair.
Aohi stared at Sunoo, and she wonders why he wants to converse with her anyway. "More like I couldn't stay long enough to be scolded."
Sunoo feels the awkward tension creep up on the both of them, so he slightly smiles, "You know, Heeseung-hyung broke one of the tablets we used in an interview," Sunoo looked around the room, before motioning to it with his hand.
"And we were scolded in this same room, it was his first time being berated as well, and he cried like a baby."
Aohi snorted at this, ENHYPEN's eldest weeping after an accident was totally out of her expectations for him.
"Just because he accidentally broke a tablet?"
"Eung, he was all like, 'I'm going to get kicked out, boohoo...'" Sunoo made wiping actions with his fists up at his eyes, making Aohi laugh a little.
"We had to join him in the meeting room because he couldn't even step inside."
Aohi giggles at this, and Sunoo's mood seems to ease up at the gentle sound. The two giggled at the story Sunoo told for a little while, before it dies down, and Aohi is left with a soft smile on her face, rather than one of worry.
"Why did you tell me that? Now I can't get it out of my head.." Aohi leans back on her chair, turning to face the fox-faced boy.
"At least you don't have to think about tonight.. you laughed." She was a little surprised, had Sunoo told her that story to distract her from her thoughts?
"How did you know? Y'know, that I'll start thinking?" Aohi inquires, slightly impressed, she watches as Sunoo giggles at her question.
"I'm an F type." Sunoo winks, bringing another laugh to Aohi's face, and an expression that obviously said corny. "That's such a lame joke!"
"It made you laugh though." Sunoo replied smugly. Aohi shook her head, before her smile disappears into a thin line, and she can't help but glance at Sunoo.
"Are you okay? About yesterday night, I still feel awful." Aohi rubs the back of her nape in embarrassment.
"Nothing I can't handle." Sunoo dismisses, shooing with his hand. "You're so nice to me, I honestly thought you didn't like me.." Sunoo tilts his head at this, "Maybe the hyungs don’t but the idea never even bothered to form in my head."
Aohi's perplexed, as in, yeah, it still stings that her hyungs could probably hate her guts, but more so Sunoo's opinion not following theirs.
"..How? Doesn't the hyungs like... I don't know, talk bad about unnie and I?"
"Please, as much as they dislike you, those four don't have a reason to badmouth you, despite disapproving of you and Xiulin." Aohi felt her heart lighten, just a little bit, at Sunoo's words. She feels a little less burdened, knowing that the older members would leave her alone at most.
"I'm glad.. I don't think I could handle something like that, especially after tonight.." Aohi's lips leave a sigh of relief.
"But, I did have a question to ask." Sunoo made sure to sound passive and as least intimidating as possible. Any weird emotion, and he would startle Aohi away.
"Eung? What is it?" Aohi is quick to pick up Sunoo's head-tilt habit. Sunoo has wondered this for a bit when Jungwon came home yesterday night, he didn't bother to greet anyone at the dorms, making a bee-line for his room.
Worst part is that Ri-ki didn't seem to care, and as the youngest, he would cling to any of his hyungs, and ignoring Jungwon? They were inseparable.
Until yesterday night, of course.
Sunoo worries a lot about his members, the same is said for the others to Sunoo. When the sudden atmosphere at the boys' dorms changed because of the incident and the avoidance of Leader and Maknae, he had to know what happened between the two.
Of course, he tried to dig on his own during the morning, but it was futile.
Thankfully, there was one person he hadn't tried yet. Aohi. Sunoo knows that if anyone knew what was with the two, it had to be her.
"You were the only person besides Xiulin to have spoken or maybe witnessed something between Jungwon and Ri-ki," Sunoo recalls, "They came home the other day, and ignored each other like the plague."
Aohi tenses up at his words, and Sunoo notes this in his head. That confirms that their youngest female member had at least of witnessed something between the two boys.
"Ah, what about them, Sunoo-hyung?" Aohi tries to keep a blank facade, Sunoo presses further anyway.
"Neither one would tell me what was going on," Sunoo didn't want to potentially scare of Aohi liked a startled deer, especially when she was Sunoo's only lead in his detective case, the Wonki incident. (Yes, he unironically calls it that.)
"Deciding to be a caring and responsible members, I remember that you had spent time with them as well, so... would you, maybe... know something about it?" Slowly, Sunoo asks.
Aohi could almost snort at the way Sunoo interrogates her carefully, if not for the way his eyebrows furrowed in seriousness, she would've laughed right in his face.
And also the fact that she's now figured out that the boys had started fighting, because of her.
"Ah..." Aohi wasn't sure if she should tell him about the current situation and how she somewhat knows that she's had a part in their fight. This felt like those choice-making simulation video-games she used to play with the XG members.
Aohi was deciding whether or not she should spend her crystals (her dignity) to unlock a more dramatic route (Sunoo's trust). As a gamer, it was a difficult choice, but as an idol though? A member's trust is always superior.
"I.. don't know if.." — "I just need to know, I won't tell any of the hyungs."
Aohi sighs, before she spoke, "Okay, but they really cannot know." She emphasizes her seriousness by pointing at Sunoo and he thinks that Aohi was adorable, entertaining her by nodding enthusiastically.
God, was this a regrettable choice, because he honestly didn't expect what was going to come out of Aohi's mouth.
"Jungwon and I kissed, Ri-ki and Xiulin-unnie probably saw, and I don't think Ri-ki took it well and-" Sunoo stops Aohi as she blurts out. She felt like she wanted to vomit, but Aohi holds back, only cringing and waiting for Sunoo's reaction.
"...Well, I didn't expect that." Sunoo breathed out, Aohi sighs and nods, "I didn't want to say it because Ri-ki and Jungwon were close and now he's uncomfortable because I-"
"What?.." Sunoo interrupts Aohi, "Jungwon's not the only one who likes you.. Ri-ki does too."
"What?"
"..Huh?"
A bat and a fox stare blankly at each other. One is flabbergasted, and the other is already stumbling the room with the bit of dignity he has left.
Aohi sat there processing, before she looks at the open door, "Yah! Kim Sunoo! Get back here!" Aohi runs after the eldest maknae, who was already turning the corner of the halls.
The two ran for a little while, before Aohi manages to catch Sunoo, toppling over him. "You... can't just-... tell me that and run!"
"I... left something on-... at home!" Sunoo panted making a dumb excuse as the two comically wrestled on the ground. Aohi was appalled at the sad attempt of an excuse from him anyway.
"I can't believe you just gave me the dumbest excuse to get out of this.." Aohi is pushed off by the older guy, huffing as he laid on the floor.
"I can't believe you tackled me like a bodyguard!" Sunoo retorted, looking at Aohi with one of his iconic side eyes.
"You're telling me that it didn't bother to click in your head that maybe, Ri-ki would've had feelings for you after spending so much time with you?"
"No! He's like, a year younger than me, I thought he was just being nice!" Aohi cried out, in all fairness, Aohi was fairly affectionate with her friends. So, Aohi wasn't expecting her sweet Ri-ki to even think of her that way.
Aohi could try to defend herself, I mean friends hold hands sometimes right? Ri-ki was just being a good friend— They always sleepover at each other's dorms, do dumb stuff together! Aohi doesn't just.... you know... oh.. oh.
Oh.
It finally clicks for Aohi and Sunoo could tell from the way the girl's eye twitches. "Finally clicked for you, tokki?" He asks, watching as more of Aohi's gears click in her mind. "...Yeah." Aohi breathes out.
"But.. why?" — "Why, what?"
“All I did was be nice to him.” Aohi pats herself off the ground, looking at Sunoo.
“Sometimes, being nice is all anyone needs to gain feelings for someone.” Sunoo shrugs, finally catching his breath and standing alongside Aohi.
At her hyung's words, she thinks. Sunoo takes this opportunity to slip past, free from Aohi's interrogation.
Aohi wonders about what Sunoo said, firstly, she's somewhat upset that Jungwon would fight with Ri-ki. Secondly, her sweet, "ki-ah" actually likes her.
Like, like likes her.
Thirdly, she might like both of them. Wait. She might like both of them. She likes both of them.
She, Yoon Aohi, likes both of them.
Aohi takes off running once again, catching up to Sunoo, who was desperately just trying to get home after tonight.
"Sunoo-hyung!" Aohi called loudly through the halls, and the boy jumps at the sound of his name, turning around quickly.
"What're you doing? Keep your voice down!" Sunoo scolds, looking around in case anyone heard the loud girl. Aohi pants beside him as she holds onto his arm, making sure he wouldn't leave.
"What do you want, huh?" Sunoo places his free hand on his hip, as if he had better things to do, which Aohi thinks he probably does.
'Aish... this hyung is so sassy..' Aohi thinks, she catches her breath before gulping and focusing on Sunoo with the most cutest determined look he's ever seen. (platonically, of course.)
"Please sneak me into the dorms, so I can talk to Jungwon and Ri-ki!" Aohi clasps her hands together, squeezing them and bowing down to emphasize her need.
"Are you crazy? You can't!" Sunoo gasps. Technically, it was allowed, but Sunoo doesn't see any fun in it if he just agreed.
"Please! I want to fix what I caused, eung?" Aohi pleads, yet Sunoo continues to shake his head. "Do you want a bribe? Is that what you want?"
Now, she was talking. Sunoo thought of her offer, placing a hand on his chin. Aohi waited for his response with a pout.
"Fine, but it has to be late at night, and you owe me take-out for a week," Sunoo listed, but before Aohi could agree, Sunoo stops her. "AND, I have to supervise."
Aohi's eyebrow raises at the last demand, as if skeptical if Sunoo actually wanted to supervise.
"Hyung... if you just want to eavesdrop, just say so.." Aohi deadpans. Sunoo is offended at these words, "You mean, I want to be responsible! I can't be a good hyung if I don't know what's going on!" Sunoo scoffs.
"Okay!- Just, okay. Tonight, okay?" Aohi agreed to his demands, requesting her own. Sunoo smiles, and it's an obvious indication that he's satisfied with the circumstances.
"I'll give you my number. Be ready, because I'll be losing my beauty sleep for this."
Tumblr media
MIDNIGHT, OTW TO EN- BOYS' DORMS, 11:50 pm, —
"Batsy, I really don't think you should do this!" Xiulin tiredly hissed by the door, her arms crossed as she watched Aohi get ready to make a midnight adventure.
"Unnie, Jungwon and Ri-ki are fighting, we already dislike each other, them turning on each other isn't going to be any better.." Aohi argued, placing her fluffy slippers on, they were bat-inspired, a gift from Xiulin.
"So? Our fight ends here, if they were a good enough group before we came, then let them prove it." Xiulin stops Aohi before she could leave, placing her arms on the girl's shoulder, a concerned look on her face.
Aohi sighs and looks towards her phone, 11:54 pm, flashes across her face, taunting her to make a choice.
Does Aohi take Xiulin's advice? Does Aohi fix her mistakes? Her debate lasts longer in her head as Aohi steps out of their dorm, and starts to walk up the stairs to the boys' floor.
Xiulin doesn't seem to stop her, only hearing a sigh behind her, before the pitter-patter of her feet, indicating that she had gone back to bed.
She has the mind to walk back but her want to keep good terms with the boys she knew seems to overpower, Aohi continues to fight against herself, not realizing that she had arrived at the boys' front door.
Aohi debates knocking, her fist could barely touch the door when a face-masked Sunoo opens the door, obviously ready to sleep.
"You are so lucky I'm doing this." He hissed, his jaw clenched at the thought of losing sleep because of Aohi, and she could only shoot him an apologetic look.
She quietly enters the dorm anyway, mouthing a soft apology to Sunoo, who sees, but doesn't mention anything about it.
Sunoo leads her down the halls, where they stop at a door, obviously the room him and Jungwon share. Sunoo wanted to tease Aohi, to lighten the mood, wondering what Aohi could possibly tell Jungwon, turning to her with a teasing grin
Although, it falters. Sunoo's smile slips off slowly, watching Aohi tremble beside him as she stared at the door with a worried look. He could see her quivering lips, even in the dimly lit halls of the dorms, since most of the boys had gone to bed.
Suddenly, it felt wrong to even tease her.. "... Hey.. you don't have to confront them.. you know?" Sunoo placed a hand on Aohi's shoulder. The younger girl shakes her head, shaking Sunoo's hand off with it.
"No.. If I don't they'll just fight more, and I need answers." Aohi smiles, trying to ease the both of them, working up the courage to enter the room, but Sunoo only worries.
"They're grown boys, they should be able to fix this themselves."
Aohi still places her hand on the doorknob, twisting the door slightly open, but she stops when she doesn't feel Sunoo follow her. Aohi closes the door again and glances behind her, watching Sunoo doesn't seem to make an effort to move.
"Aren't you coming?" Aohi whispers, just loud enough for him to hear. Sunoo's tired smile returns, "It seems personal to you, so I changed my mind." Aohi felt appreciative, walking to Sunoo and pulling him into a hug.
Sunoo is surprised by the sudden contact, hesitantly hugging back. "Thank you.." Aohi mumbled into his shoulder. She then walks back to the door and enters, closing the door with a sudden boost of confidence from her... oppa?
Jungwon laid in his bed covered in his blankets, with a sizzling turmoil in his mind, it's been a while (a literal business day) since he and Ri-ki had spoken, Jungwon couldn't even try to talk to the youngest because he could barely glance Jungwon's way.
So he sat in his dorm, sulking, since his crush hasn't bothered to talk to him, and now his only dongsaeng doesn't bother to look his way.
Jungwon refused to talk to his hyungs either, disguising it by "not feeling well." furthering the isolating agenda.
Sunoo tried to get him to spill, but all the hyung got was a cat hissing him away. So, when Jungwon felt a dip in his bed, he groans, thinking it was Sunoo.
"Hyung, I said I didn't want to talk-" — "I'm not Sunoo-oppa.." Aohi interrupted, her voice soft and quiet.
Jungwon is alarmed by the sudden feminine voice in the room, sitting up in surprise and hitting his head against the bunk of his bed.
"Ack!" Jungwon holds his head as Aohi gasps, her hands reaching over Jungwon's in worry. He winced, not registering the close proximity he and Aohi shared.
The two looked at each other, seeming to get distracted in each other's gaze, before Jungwon regains his awareness and is the first to pull away. Aohi frowns at this.
"It's late... you should be in bed.." Jungwon mumbles like a kicked kitten, looking away from Aohi as he rubs at his bump.
"I know it's not nice to leave someone after you kiss them, so I came back.." Aohi whispered.
"Is that all you came back for, to pity me? I get it, I won't do it again." Jungwon still refuses to turn her way, making Aohi's heart hurt worse.
"Wonnie.." Aohi pulled at Jungwon's chin, turning it to face her. Jungwon sported an upset pout, looking at Aohi with his brown orbs.
"I like you, I really do..." Jungwon raises his hand to cup over Aohi's. "But?.." He whispers.
"Everything we worked for, everything you worked for.. You'll lose it if we pursue anything.." Aohi explained, running her thumb on his soft cheek, before pulling away from Jungwon's hand.
"So what?" Aohi is confused by his response, "What do you mean, 'so what'?" She spoke, looking at Jungwon's furrowed eyebrows.
"I do have feelings for you, real, romantic feelings," Jungwon grabs at Aohi's hand, re-establishing a touch with her. "Months of denying it put me in this situation, but I don't care losing it all if it meant I get to be with you."
Aohi shakes her head at his words, as if in disbelief of what she's hearing. "What's stopping us, huh? We both like each other, I'm okay with losing this as long as I'm with you."
"Jungwon, you're not thinking straight.." Jungwon pulls Aohi closer, and a hitch of a breath is heard from her. "I'm serious, Aohi." Aohi pushes Jungwon away, moving away from him as she raises a finger.
"No, you're not, because if you were, you know that these feelings wouldn't just hurt us, but everyone around us, and you'd agree with me why we can't pursue anything!"
Jungwon tilts his head slightly, wondering what she was talking about. Aohi wonders why he doesn't understand, why he can't see what she sees. The boy can only stare on hopelessly, hoping to be told what she meant.
"Listen to yourself, Jungwon.." Aohi begged, "You're going to choose me over the future of everyone in this group?" Aohi shakes her head, a scoff threatening to leave her lips.
"Do you know how selfish we are, even thinking about something like that?"
"We'll be okay.." Jungwon wasn't sure who he was trying to convince, because the more time passes, it felt like he was only speaking to himself.
“Jungwon, how could you think that way?” Aohi whispered, both of her hands placed on either side of his face. “How could we be so selfish to love each other like this?”
Jungwon’s helpless, he doesn’t know where to focus his gaze, is it to Aohi’s eyes, as her tears fall in crystal droplets? Her quivering lips, how they hesitate to move?
Why does he still think she’s so beautiful like this? So beautiful, even as she hurts?
“Don’t you want to? Don’t you want us to love each other?” Jungwon whispers, his hand hesitantly covering Aohi’s in a warmth she hates to love.
“I could never ask for that,” She whispers, it felt like she was telling herself these words and even as it hurts to tell him the same things, Aohi continues.
“I’ve never been a selfish person, Won,” A small swipe of her thumb is made under the boy’s eyes, and Aohi ignores the burn his tears make on her skin.
“That’s why we can’t.. because I refuse to want something so selfish, something like loving you.”
Jungwon finally drops his hand, and Aohi's heart joins it. "I get it, I'm sorry.. you're right, I'm the leader, I should do better.." Jungwon gently pulls away from Aohi's hold.
"I'm so sorry... please forgive me, it's better this way.." Aohi sniffles, her tears at a freefall, the droplets hitting Jungwon's blanket.
"Please leave, Aohi." Jungwon pleads with a broken heart. Aohi wants to shake her head, to comfort the boy who's heart she broke. "I'm so.. so, so sorry, won." Jungwon steps out of his bed, his hand around Aohi's wrist as she could only be pulled to the door.
Jungwon was kicking her out.
"No- Jungwon!-" Aohi hics, as she's finally pushed out of the dorm. Jungwon slams the door shut as he leans his forehead against the door, hearing the silent sobs of Aohi from his side.
Aohi doesn't even notice Sunoo's presence as she shuts her eyes, refusing to open them, and covering them with her hands. Aohi could feel herself be lead away from the rooms and into the kitchen where Sunoo pulls her hands away from her face.
"Aohi, what happened?" Sunoo asks, holding the girl by the shoulders, Aohi hiccups as she looks up at Sunoo.
The boy no longer work a face-mask, a concerned look had replaced his tired one. Aohi shakes her head as she tries to push past him.
"What the hell's going on, hyung?" Ri-ki had emerged with a water bottle in hand, at first, he seemed annoyed at the noise but he started looking at Aohi and Sunoo with confusion and anger, assuming Sunoo had made her cry.
"Hyung!" Ri-ki hissed, pulling Aohi in his arms as Sunoo's breath hitches, surprised at the youngest's presence. "Ri-ki!" Sunoo whispers, shocked at the way he snatched Aohi away.
Before Sunoo makes an effort to pull Aohi back, she disappears as Ri-ki abandons his mission for water and instead deciding to hide Aohi away in his room.
"Noona.. what the hell happened out there? What did hyung do?" Ri-ki leaned down, using his hand to pull away hairs that stuck onto her cheeks by her tears.
"Aohi, look at me.." A sob escapes Aohi as she shakes her head, and Ri-ki clicks his tongue, using his now free hand to run itself in his newly dyed black hair.
Ri-ki moves to hug her, and she lets him, his hands wrapping a comforting warmth around her as she sobbed.
“It’s just me, Aohi-san.. It’s just Ri-ki..” He tried, attempting to comfort the girl, just enough that she’d stop crying.
“I don’t know what to do, I just wanted to- I didn’t want Jungwon to hate me!-“ Aohi hiccuped, and Ri-ki tries to place a hand on her head, “Don’t! I know you’re comforting me because you like me, and I don’t want you being just like Jungwon!”
Ri-ki is hurt by the accusation but he shakes his head anyway. "I just want to help you, please let me.." He pleads, waiting for Aohi to trust him.
"I hate you.. both of you.." Aohi whimpers, and despite Ri-ki knowing that she was just emotional, it still stung. Ri-ki made a move, burying the girl in his arms, and Aohi reacted by beating her fists against Ri-ki's chest.
"I know, I'm sorry.." Ri-ki whispers, Aohi's punches weaken as she results to go limp in Ri-ki's arms. "It's okay.. we're okay."
go limp in Ri-ki's arms. "It's okay.. we're okay."
Aohi sniffles as Ri-ki guides her to his bed, sitting her down. A few moments go by with Aohi's sniffles only filling the room.
By the time Aohi had stopped, she ended up coddled by Ri-ki, his hands rubbing up her back in comfort. He makes the first move to talk.
"Jungwon-hyung made you cry didn't he?"
"What?" Aohi mumbled, "I heard you and hyung.." Ri-ki replied softly, and before she could think she was weirded out, Ri-ki saves himself.
"The walls are thin.."
"Then.. won't he hear us too?.." Aohi spoke up, "Even if he did, he wouldn't show his face to you.. especially when he made you cry.." Ri-ki pulled at his blanket, offering it to Aohi.
"I shouldn't be here." She sighs, taking Ri-ki up on his offer. "Yet you took my blanket?" Ri-ki spoke, amusement laced in his voice. Aohi deadpans at him and thinks twice about taking the blanket.
"I should leave then.." Aohi takes his joke as an opportunity to run away, back to the comforts of her dorm.
"I'm kidding, c'mon!" Ri-ki pulls Aohi back down as she stands up. Aohi lets out a laugh, her voice a bit stuffy because of her stuffy nose.
"Why do you want to leave so badly? How come Jungwon gets an explanation, and he makes you cry-" Aohi tries to stop him from speaking any further. "No! How come I don't deserve one?"
Aohi tries to excuse her avoidance towards Ri-ki but he seems to beat her to it.
"If it's because I have feelings for you, then tell me." Ri-ki appealed. "Please talk to me."
"How'd.. How'd you know that I knew?" Aohi looked towards an upset Ri-ki, her eyes widening in shock.
"Sunoo-hyung told me, he apologized for telling you.." Ri-ki shakes his head though, "That's not the point, I'm glad he told you because now I don't have to explain myself to you."
Aohi stays silent, and opening her mouth, but is unsuccessful at speaking a word.
"I know to an extent what you're going to say, but I'm not going to apologize to Jungwon-hyung for my feelings, or fighting with him."
Aohi finally shuts Ri-ki up, using her hand to cover his mouth. "Ri-ki, let me speak, damn!" Aohi huffed out. "First.. You're going to apologize to Jungwon because it's the right thing to do."
Ri-ki tries to speak, but Aohi points a finger at him, telling him not to. "Secondly, you shouldn't have feelings for me."
"Because you like Jungwon?" What was it with guys interrupting her before she could even start to explain?
"No! Because we're idols, weirdo! You don't think I want to like you, or Jungwon?" Aohi yelled in a whisper, Ri-ki tilting his head at her words, "You like both of us?"
Aohi felt like passing out at the way Ri-ki was selectively picking what he wanted to hear.
'This punk..' Aohi clicked her tongue.
"You're not denying it." Ri-ki points out, "Can you focus? The main point is that, we can't pursue this.." Ri-ki moves closer to Aohi. "I'll drop it if you let me test something."
"I'm not playing games here, Ri-ki." Aohi groans, and at this point Ri-ki had trapped her between a rock and a hard place, him being the rock and the hard place being the wall.
"It's not fair, Jungwon gets to kiss you and I don't." Ri-ki grumbled, "God, ki, you're upset about that now?" Aohi was appalled at the way the youngest doesn't acknowledge anything she says.
"Yeah, I am, you make such a big deal about it because Jungwon is the leader, but you brush me off because I'm younger than you." Ri-ki argues, and Aohi can somewhat sense where his anger is coming from, she argues with him either way.
"What are you talking about?" She hissed.
"God, Aohi, doesn't it ever occur to you why I want to hang around you?" She refuses to listen, opting to push Ri-ki away, but his hands wrap around her wrist to stop her.
"Do you think I willingly share the same things, or let you baby me, just because we're 'just friends'?" Aohi tries to free her wrist from Ri-ki's hold, but there's not much she could do against him.
"You brush off my feelings because I'm always going to be your dongsaeng, and you can't see past that."
Aohi shakes her head, trying to deny Ri-ki's words, but he continues anyway, "You don't even realize that I've had feelings for you longer than Jungwon-hyung had."
"To you, I'm just a teenager going through a school-boy crush, but I know it's more than that, you just won't process it in your head."
"No Ri-ki, I genuinely can't like you or Jungwon."
"So, if I kissed you right now, will you still sit there and tell me you don't feel anything for me?"
Aohi doesn't reply, Ri-ki had her trapped of course, quite literally. "You don't know what you're doing Ri-ki.." Aohi felt like she was in this situation before, Ri-ki inches closer and closer.
Her hands that held Ri-ki’s shoulders, trying to push him away, made no effort to move anyway, despite her disagreements.
“Then help me know.” Ri-ki replies, taking Aohi’s silence as an opportunity to meet his lips with hers.
Aohi's breath hitched at the feeling of Ri-ki's soft lips and she couldn't help but feel tears prick her eyes. Ri-ki pulled away, his lips tingling.
Ri-ki looked at Aohi's face, her cheeks getting wet from her tears. Ri-ki could feel his chest hurt at the way Aohi seems to crumble in his arms.
"I don't want to go through this.. I don't want to put you and Jungwon through this.." Aohi whispers, looking up at Ri-ki, and despite no sobs leaving her lips, tears freely poured down the curve of her cheeks.
Ri-ki is unsure of what to do, not expecting this reaction of Aohi, and he could only sigh and hug her, his hand wrapping around her head. Had he overwhelmed her with how he felt? Was he too harsh with Aohi?
"... I'm sorry. You should get some rest, noona. I didn't mean to stress you out." Ri-ki whispered, he's forced to guide Aohi onto his bed, where they used to nap together, trying to sleep away their boredom on days off.
"I didn't mean to make you cry... I just wanted you to understand how I felt." Ri-ki pulled Aohi's head into the crook of his neck, his fingers combed at her hair, and he swore Aohi mumbled words to him.
"I do understand.. I'm sorry you felt that way.." Aohi's muffled voice spoke into his shirt, the vibrations makes Ri-ki shiver at the feeling.
"I never meant for you and won to fight, or for you to gain feelings for me..or.." Aohi stopped herself from naming a few more things as she didn't want to ramble.
"If I knew this would happen, I would've gone back to Fukuoka, instead of putting you two in this predicament.." Ri-ki reacts strongly at Aohi's words, couldn't even imagine for her to return to Japan all by herself.
"Don't say that.. you said you'd be my home away from home, you'd be leaving me here all alone.." Ri-ki whispered, remembering her promise. Aohi sniffled, shaking her head, "I won't speak about my feelings anymore, just stay here, with me."
Ri-ki waits for response, and when he doesn't gain one, he looks down, seeing Aohi fast asleep. He notices the damp streaks on the girl's soft cheeks and makes a move to wipe it with his thumbs.
Ri-ki wonders how a girl like Aohi could be so understanding and accommodating to him and his hyungs, especially when they make such a hassle for her.
The youngest pulls his blankets over Aohi's sleeping figure, allowing her comfort in her sleep as Ri-ki slips to lay next to Aohi.
Ri-ki glances at Aohi's sleeping face, and for once, this was different from all of the times the two slept in the same bed, this time Ri-ki was aware of his feelings and he could only stare at her lovingly as she sleeps off the tears she shed.
"I'm sorry for making you cry, batsy.." Ri-ki spoke, making sure not to wake Aohi, she had told Ri-ki of her nickname once, only using it secretly for Aohi.
With a guilty heart, Ri-ki follows after Aohi into sleep, soft breaths leaving his lips.

EN- DORMS, 9:38 am, —
Aohi awakes with a quick and sudden jolt, alarmed at the environment that wasn't her dorm. She tiredly shuffled around the bed, familiar with Ri-ki's bed as she feels around for her phone.
Aohi felt the familiar case of her phone, reading the time groggily. 9:43 am. She stumbles out of bed as she calls Xiulin from many of the missed calls on her screen.
"Unnie!" Aohi calls out as she hears the phone pick up.
"Aohi! You didn't come back to the dorm, I was worried sick!" Xiulin scolded the younger girl, Aohi could hear the commotion from wherever Xiulin was, which urges her to ask.
"Unnie, where are you?" Aohi asked, switching her hand from one to the other. "At a photoshoot, why?" Xiulin replied.
Aohi stayed quiet for a few moments to her shock, and suddenly panicked shuffling could be heard from Aohi's end, as Xiulin sighed.
"The staff want you home, you and Sunoo were placed in a sort of bed-rest after your meeting." Aohi stops her ruffling with a huff. "Sunoo-oppa is home?"
"You call him oppa now?" — "Unnie!"
"...Yes, the staff wanted you guys to rest after you squished him on stage." Aohi could curse out, but she composed herself and let out a calm hum, "Anyways, just rest, we'll be back soon, I'll make you dak gomtang, okay?" Xiulin replied.
"Yes unnie, have fun, get home safe.." Aohi sighs, gathering a hoodie from Ri-ki's, knowing he wouldn't mind.
The call ends, Aohi's gaze drifts to the empty bed, her question of Ri-ki's presence being answered by Xiulin. Aohi at least has enough responsibility to clean up after her stay.
Aohi folds the blankets and arranges the pillows, she tried to finish with haste because she already felt weird staying after... the wonki situation, second, she felt puffy from crying last night, and her creeping headache wasn't helping.
Thankfully, it was only Sunoo in the dorms so she didn't have to walk out of Ri-ki's room with any awkward encounters.
Aohi tries to leave as quietly as possible, poking her head out for any signs of Sunoo, before stepping out once the coast was clear.
The girl wasn't awkward with Sunoo or anything (she hopes), she was just embarrassed last night, knowing she cried in front of him. Aohi could almost celebrate as she reaches the front door when a certain someone pokes his head out of the bathroom.
"I sure hope you're not leaving without explaining last night," Sunoo spoke, his hand rubbing at some cleanser on his face.
Aohi could almost curse when she hears Sunoo's voice, turning around with a defeated voice, "Well.. I have to get ready and... I can just come back!" Aohi was lying, she was not going to come back and hide in the comfort of her and Xiulin's dorms.
"I can share." And Aohi could imagine the defeat screen in her head as Sunoo opens the bathroom door wider, inviting the younger girl. Aohi places her phone by the holder at their door, and walks towards the bathroom.
Sunoo makes space for her to enter the bathroom and handing her a few products. "I couldn't check on you because Ri-ki looked like he could kill me if I even peeked in his room."
"Thanks for caring anyways.." Aohi mumbles. She squeezes a few pumps out of Sunoo's cleanser as the two quietly did their routines. Aohi could only hope she doesn't break out from using someone else's skincare.
"So? Spill. You obviously managed to do something because Ri-ki apologized but, Jungwon still doesn't want to talk to him." Sunoo spoke, washing his face and grabbing a tube of moisturizer from the counter. He turns to Aohi who seems to rub the cleanser too harshly into her skin.
"Yah! You'll damage your skin!" Sunoo pulled Aohi's hands away as the girl sighs, the entire thing with Ri-ki and Jungwon might get her to breakout than her harsh scrubbing.
"I don't know how many times I have to say this but I really don't want to deal with this." Aohi huffs, "Aohi, tokki, no one wants to deal with your problems either." Sunoo jokes, smiling at the way Aohi rolls her eyes and glares at him through the mirror.
"I mean it, I just wanted to keep my job. I didn't think this would happen." Aohi groans.
"You like Jungwon don't you?" Sunoo pats his face dry, his voice muffled through the soft towel.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Aohi asks, approaching the sink to wash away Sunoo's cleanser off of her face.
"I'm wondering, same for Ri-ki as well." Sunoo shrugs, cleaning up his skincare products once Aohi was on his moisturizer.
"I have feelings for Jungwon... but.." Aohi is unsure whether or not she should tell Sunoo of her feelings for Ri-ki as well.
She knew she always had those feelings but she wasn't aware until now, not until last night. "You like Ri-ki as well?" Sunoo finishes her sentence for her, feeling satisfied when Aohi is weirded out on how he knew.
"How?" Aohi tried to ask, pulling a small laugh from Sunoo. "Everyone doesn't really notice me, but I'm not dumb and I can put two and two together."
"I don't know anything about you, it's not fair you know that much." Aohi complains, and Sunoo is amused by the way Aohi slams her fist on the bathroom counter.
"I'll tell you a few things then, just don't sulk." Sunoo compromised, a gentle pat on the girl's head to ease her. "What if I do something about that info?" Aohi slightly smiles, and Sunoo can see from the mirror.
"Please, you're practically harmless." Sunoo snorts, earning a yell of distaste from Aohi.
“Anyways, I’d stay away from Jungwon, and maybe even Ri-ki.” Sunoo leans against the wall, crossing his arms, Aohi watched him, a little surprised at his boyish behaviour.
Aohi was used to only seeing Sunoo when necessary, that meant interviews, fanmeets, filming, whatnot.
Aohi was used to his feminine side, and she respected him for being so open, despite her being an F type like he was, it was hard to pull anything out of her, much less be outgoing about it.
“Why?” — “If you want them to focus on being an idol, don’t give them the chance to even think about having you.”
Aohi could tell that it was better to take Sunoo’s words to heart, the way his tone tells her that it’s not something to be taken lightly.
“Make the right decision, Aohi. I’m—“ Sunoo takes a pause, “Your hyungs, hopes you know what’s better for all three of you.”
"Aohi, you know what this'll do to us if anyone finds out right?" Sunoo asks slowly, making sure Aohi understood. "Yes, I do.." Aohi hesitantly replies, her mind blurs at the various thoughts in her head. Aohi wonders if she really should've declines Yuzi's offer back then.
"You should head home then, the boys will be home soon, and they won't like you being in here." Sunoo ushers Aohi out of the bathroom, walking her to the door.
"Get some sleep, go eat breakfast, batsy." Sunoo spoke, "That's what Xiulin and Ri-ki calls you right? Batsy?" Sunoo is satisfied when Aohi nods, confirming his assumption.
"Does that mean you're my friend now? Only friends can call me batsy." Aohi hides her small grin and it's obvious she was happy to potentially gain another member as a friend. (Despite not being on the nicest terms with the others.)
"Sure, Batsy."
———
✧. ┊ Aohi took Sunoo's advice to heart over the next few weeks. Despite the unfamiliar distance between her and Ri-ki and the lack of words exchanged with Jungwon, she stood her ground with them, never too far, never too close.
Aohi struggled for the first few days, struggling to say no to Ri-ki because even if he had feelings for her, he was still his friend.
Thankfully, Sunoo is there to encourage her. With the growing distance with Jungwon and Ri-ki, Sunoo is able to soothe Aohi's loneliness enough to keep her going with waiting their feelings away.
For instance, Aohi and Sunoo had decided to have a sleep-over, being bored, and having a day-off anyway.
"Did you just take the last bite of mint-choco?" Sunoo asks from beside a playful scoff leaving his lips. The two called their sleepover a "self-care" night, an excuse to hang out.
Despite the hyungs' disagreements of Sunoo befriending Aohi, she was too interesting, Sunoo understood why the youngest boys never seemed to get enough of her. Aohi was a magnet, she could befriend anyone and she lured anyone with her charms.
Sunoo believed Aohi's presence was electrifying, stuns you into wanting more.
Sunoo felt his teenage giddiness return with Aohi's aura encouraging him to have a small bit of teenage mischief between the two.
"Eung, I'll buy you a tub next time, as compensation." Aohi bumped her shoulder towards Sunoo, a giggle resonating after.
Sunoo just rolls his eyes but that doesn't deter the younger girl, her smile stays strong on her lips, knowing that Sunoo was naturally sassy.
The two decided that they should gossip, talking about the week's funniest moments, like Aohi mistaking another idol's dressing room for theirs, or Sunoo laughing about Jay bumping into a pole while they were out.
"You know, the other hyungs hate mint-chocolate." Sunoo spoke, his spoon in his mouth, licking the remnants of ice cream on the utensil.
"It's the mint, oppa!" Aohi nudges Sunoo, "Did you know, they place the same flavouring from toothpaste into the ice cream." She explains, her gaze never leaving the Ipad screen that played a k-drama Sunoo could care less about.
"So, you're saying mint-chocolate is healthy, because it's like toothpaste?"
Aohi snorts at this question, "No oppa, mint-choco just tastes somewhat like toothpaste, but it doesn't have fluoride like toothpaste does."
Sunoo feels his heart warm at the call of Oppa by Aohi. He couldn't lie that Aohi has carved a spot in Sunoo's heart, and it's almost ironic how he'd fallen in a similar predicament Jungwon and Ri-ki had.
Sunoo guesses it's just Aohi's aura, being so magnetic, he honestly felt like it was a talent.
"Aohi," Sunoo asks, "Eung?" Aohi hums, placing her spoon inside the empty ice cream tub and scrapping for bits of chocolate from the melted ice cream.
"You haven't talked about Jungwon or Ri-ki in a while." He reminds, actually, he doesn't know why he does, Sunoo can't seem to find a reason in his mind to tell Aohi of this information. "Ah... yeah.. I, don't know how I'm lasting.." Aohi tries to focus on the k-drama, and for once, Sunoo can't help but notice Aohi's unwillingness to talk about it.
"Did... are you?— .." Sunoo stumbles on his words, why does he want to talk about this with Aohi? "Am I?..." Aohi repeats, a little confused on what Sunoo was trying to say.
"Do you want to talk?" Sunoo blurts, and he curses himself in his mind at his attempt to salvage the conversation. For being extroverted, he really sucked at talking right now.
"Sunoo-oppa, what are you trying to get at?" Aohi nervously asks, at this point, she was assuming her elder member was having a stroke.
"I don't know, but just talk to me." Sunoo replied, feeling breathless. "Well.. okay, but... are you alright?" Aohi wanted to make sure Sunoo wasn't feeling unwell or anything of the sort.
"yes, just talk." Sunoo ushered, the k-drama was long forgotten, the 'are you still watching?' application being ignored.
"Well, what do you want me to talk about?" — "Their feelings, your feelings, what'd they tell you?"
Aohi laughs at his question, and the sound soothes Sunoo. "Do you really want to know that?" Sunoo nods, yet he doesn't want to listen to her words at all, just finding comfort in the soothing voice of Aohi's.
Sunoo had always listened to Aohi, they were practically best friends from the way they gossiped like it been forever. Sunoo never knew how Aohi didn't get tired talking or he never got bored listening to her.
Aohi and him share skincare all of the time now. Sunoo knows Aohi comes over to use his skincare sometimes. That's why he runs out so often. Sunoo doesn't get mad though, not when it was Aohi, when it was anyone else, Jay-hyung, Ri-ki, Sunoo would rain hell, but never Aohi.
Sunoo never seems to realize that after weeks of talking, he starts to look for Aohi, whenever she's not by his side.
Sunoo believes that now that Aohi had integrated herself into his routine, he fears he won't be able to move on if Aohi somehow disappears.
Sunoo seems to fear something as well as Aohi's disappearance, but at the moment, he allows himself to be distracted by Aohi's soft ramblings.
The boy wonders what he's so scared about. Aohyi giggles at a certain moment she calls as Sunoo thinks and all of the sudden...
Everything clicks.
Aohi finally finishes speaking, "Anyways, I don't know why you wanted to know about that— " She looks up and she's met with a tearing Sunoo.
"Sunoo-oppa? Omo, what!?— " Aohi is quick to rush for tissue and Sunoo's heart races, he seems to know.
Sunoo knows what has him in such a frenzy. Kim SUnoo defeatedly accepts it though. With a heavy heart, he does.
Aohi returns with kleenex in hand, a worried expression, and Sunoo can laugh at Aohi's obliviousness. The girl reaches to wipe at her oppa's tears, when Sunoo's gentle hands grasp at her wrist.
"Sunoo-oppa? What's wrong, why did you start crying?" Aohi is quick to ask.
"Aohi, I'm no better than Jungwon and Ri-ki." Sunoo laughs.
Aohi is confused at his words, she wonders what he could mean. Why would he even compare himself to Jungwon and Ri-ki?
Sunoo could tell Aohi wasn't getting it to click like he could, Sunoo's hands went to sandwich Aohi's free hand in both of his, and Aohi gently wipes at Sunoo's cheeks.
Aohi takes note of his soft cheeks, but she continues to look directly at Sunoo's teary eyes.
"Yah, Yoon Aohi. I can't believe you made me fall in love with you too."

RIKI NEVER KNEW WHAT HEARTBREAK FELT LIKE.
Since he was young, Riki had heard stories about how individuals were supposed to feel after their first breakup.
The ways their personalities would rupture into a unique parallel timeline controlled by their collapsing dreams.
He’d seen it in the dramas his sisters forced him to watch during their late nights up, remembering the way he’d just roll his eyes and scoff under his breath as he observed how pathetic everyone acted.
He’d tell them that it wasn’t realistic, he’d repeat on a broken record about how little someone’s perspective on him would never change the way he held himself.
He didn’t care if someone hated him, not when they’d be the ones to call it off.
But what was before Minhee broke his heart.
He’d spent countless nights twisting and turning in his bed, the strong hands of doubt wrapping around his ankles as it tried to submerge his body into its unescaping pool.
His eyes could flicker at the smallest sound, hands twitching as he tried pulling himself out of the headspace that was quickly consuming him.
He’d wake up in a cold sweat, forehead damp as his quickened breath got caught up in his lungs, chest burning as his nails attempted to grasp back onto his sense of reality.
Now that you’re gone, he had nowhere to run. He couldn’t hide away this time, he had to face himself all alone.
“This isn’t fair,” Riki spoke out loud, his head tilted back as the hot water cascaded down his chest. His arms were bright red, hands still scrubbing away at his sensitive skin.
For once, he allowed himself to be selfish.
His tears mixed with the blistering water, eyes red as the quiet sobs left his parted lips. His feet grew weak under his sudden weight, his soul slamming into his body.
Since the day Riki had heard the news he hasn’t felt real.
His hands didn’t belong to him, his voice unrecognizable as he screamed at Minhee. That wasn’t him, there’s no way it could’ve been.
Riki had never once raised his voice at her, not even when she had accidentally ruined one of his favourite shirts after it got mixed up with her dark clothes.
But like before, that was before Minhee broke his heart.
That was before he found out that Minhee had been seeing Sunghoon behind everyone’s back. Before he caught her giggling in the doorway of his older member's bedroom, her body clad in his bigger shirt.
It wasn’t fair, life had never been fair to him.
He could deal with everything else, everything but the absence of her.
The hate comments he could shrug off, the mobbing he could ignore, but Minhee? Never. She could ruin him forever with the slightest cold shoulder.
His fabricated world collapsed around him, the pieces falling apart as the walls tumbled into each other. The childish giggles were soon replaced with the noise of nothing.
Literally, the noise of nothing. Everything was silent.
Riki became aware of his surroundings, the steamy air of the bathroom making it harder for him to breathe as his eyes grew heavy.
The soap in his hair dripped down into his eyes, the burn unnoticed due to the condition they were in before. They’d been burning since he’d woken up, his tears unending.
Liquid poison rose up his chest, throat burning as he rushed out of the shower. His feet caught against the rug, his body landing against the pool ground as he struggled to breathe.
Riki felt like he was going to die.
But he wasn’t, he couldn’t do that to her. Riki knew that Minhee was the only other one home, the others had gone to film their remaining parts for their upcoming album.
He would never let Minhee find him so…. lifeless. He couldn’t do that to her.
And so he forced himself up, head pounding as quiet groans left his lips. He had no idea what he was saying, his chest racing as it tried to keep him awake.
The shower was still on, the soft littering only making him more overwhelmed. He blindly reached for his clothes, hands barely grabbing his underwear before his blackout began.
The black dots growing along his outer vision was concerning, his fear rapidly growing.
He wanted nothing more than to be in her arms, her comforting presence wrapping around him as she whispered sweet nothings into his ears.
He’d imagine his head resting against Minhee’s chest, his body subconsciously following her heart rate as she calmed him down.
But now, with nothing but his underwear on, he collapsed with the world around him.
He had already lost all consciousness when the door came slamming open, the door handles shooting against the ground as Minhee forced her way in.

Minhee wasn’t fully aware of what Riki was going through.
Weeks ago she swore she knew everything about him, that she’d be able to read his mind by just a single glance.
But like Riki, that was before. She didn’t know he had seen her leaving Sunghoon’s room. She didn’t know he had pieced all the pieces together that night.
The only thing she noticed was his silence, and Riki was never silent.
She didn’t know what was going on with her youngest member, but she knew that she’d do anything to help him.
Minhee had woken up three hours early, her hair tied up in a tight ponytail as she worked away in her room.
She’d always loved making her own personal songs, ones that she wanted to keep to herself for as long as possible. She’d never shown anyone her laptop, no one but Riki.
He’d been the only one to learn about her hobby, the only one to hear her own produced music.
They’d lay side by side, heads pressed against each other as they both stared at the ceiling of Minhee’s room. There wasn’t anything that was specifically interesting about her ceiling, nothing but the two small initials carved in the corner.
Their eyes would trace the two letters, hidden smiles on their lips as their fingers gently bumped into each other.
They’d share secret smiles as Minhee’s voice hummed them to sleep, the shared earphones stuck in their ears as they fell into a world surrounded by no one but themselves.
At Riki’s sudden silence, Minhee felt stuck. She didn’t want to outrightly ask the younger boy about what happened, too scared of accidentally hurting him in the way she’d pose the question.
And so she did what she did best, sing a song for him.
Minhee had never written a song for a specific person, usually opting to let her hand move on its own as the thoughts of her members played out in a black-and-white movie.
Minhee tried to ignore the obvious for so long, telling herself that it was normal to write such… intimate things about her closest friends.
She just hadn’t noticed when the song's lyrics blurred into love confessions, her heart in her sleeve as the puppeteer controlled her pen.
She was in love. Min Yeonhee was in love with all of them.
She’d spent many nights crying in her room, fist in her mouth as she tried to keep herself quiet.
It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair to anyone.
It just happened that Sunghoon caught her one night, his arms wrapped around her as he offered her his shoulder to cry on.
He was the first one to find out about her feelings, he knew she was in love with them all.
In a way he wasn’t surprised, he had seen the way she treated them all. But he wasn’t sure what he felt about everything, he didn’t know if he would be able to share something so vulnerable with everyone else.
But selfishly, he knew he needed Minhee. He confessed his love to her through a passionate night, his words whispering in her ears as he held her tight.
She’d accepted him because she was dumb, dumb but in love. Minhee hadn’t thought about the others' reactions, she didn’t want to think about it.
She thought that maybe her feelings for the others would fade as she sunk into the embrace of her new boyfriend. But she didn’t.
Minhee felt the tears well in her eyes as the finished song played in her ears, her emotions overspilling as she thought about the younger boy's reaction.
Minhee had always had a soft spot for the youngest boy, he was probably her favourite person.
Minhee didn’t want to write a full love song, she couldn’t do that Sunghoon. She didn’t know how Riki felt about her, and she wasn’t going to sacrifice anything.
In a way, this song was Minhee’s way of letting him go as well. She didn’t know it at the time, but she was looking for closure.
She wanted to help Riki, but she wanted to help herself as well. Granted this song definitely felt like a love confession… or something along those blurry lines.
Minhee stood up with her computer tucked between her arms, a smile on her face as she skipped toward Riki’s room. She knocked once, feet paused at the opened door as she stuck her head in.
Minhee tilted her head in confusion before she noticed the shower was on, a relieved smile on her lips as she changed her course.
“Riki, are you almost done? I have something I want to show you!” Minhee pressed her ear against the door, her heels off the ground as she bounced on her tippy toes.
At the lack of response, Minhee tried questioning him a little louder, her heart racing at the radio silence from the other side of the door.
“Riki, I’m not kidding. If you don’t answer right now I’ll literally break the door.” Minhee was only half joking, the voice still a shit lighthearted as she tried reassuring herself that he was fine.
Minhee’s heart dropped when she heard gasping, and a loud bang coming from behind the door. “Riki?” She used her hand to bang against the door, her ear still pressed against it.
Minhee swore at his silence, her hands shaking as she placed her computer on the ground beside the door.
Minhee knew there were two ways to get a locked door open, one option looking better than the other.
The first way was by ramming her body into it, the thought of the door hitting her skin causing her to physically cringe. She was definitely not about to do that.
The other option was to kick the door handle off, which in hindsight was probably just as hard. She knew how to do it, the movies she’d watched giving her a step-by-step tutorial. Granted it definitely would’ve been different in a real-life situation, but she had no option.
Minhee stood with her knees slightly bent, hands straightening in front of her chest as she prepared to kick the door. “Shit, If this doesn’t work…” Minhee trailed off, eyebrows furrowing as she tried thinking of other ways to get in.
But before she could think more, she acted. She jumped in shock as the handle fell to the ground, the door opening at the force.
She had no time to think about what she had just done before she saw the half-naked boy lying lifeless on the ground.
Minhee gasped as she ran towards him, her hands pushing his hair away from her face as she turned him to his back. She raised his head to her knee, allowing the blood to rush back down from his head.
She didn’t know what happened, but by the warmth of Riki’s skin, she knew it wasn’t good.
Minhee placed his head back down, rushing over to turn off the shower. She barely looked away from the boy as she leaned down to push the water drain in, the water pooling along the bottom of the bath.
She turned the bath back on, room temperature water filling the bath. She held her hand under the flowing water, making sure the temperature wasn’t hot enough to overheat him.
She turned the water off, twisting the nod closed as she pulled the curtains open. She bent down beside Riki, using her arm to wrap his own around her shoulder.
Minhee definitely wasn’t the strongest member, but she was nowhere near weak. She’d been forced to accompany the boys to the gym enough for her to be able to lift any of the members with slight ease.
Well, that’s what she thought until she could barely move the boy from the ground. Eventually, Minhee was able to get him into the bath, her hands cupping the water to bring up towards his hair.
She rinsed the soap from his skin, hands periodically checking his pulse to make sure his heart rate was calming down.
Minhee was panicking, her thoughts clouded as she tried using the water to wake him up. “Please wake up, please.” She quietly begged him through her quiet sobs, lip between her teeth as she tried her best to keep him up.
“Holy shit.” Minhee hadn’t noticed Sunghoon getting home, only realizing it the second he came running towards her, his arms wrapping around Riki’s shoulders as he pulled him from the water.
“I don’t know what happened.” Minhee was babbling at this point, her hands against her cheeks as she curled into herself.
“He’ll be okay, let me get him dressed.” Sunghoon shot a reassuring smile towards his girlfriend, his heart beating fast as his worry grew. “Go get changed, baby.”
Sunghoon wrapped Riki’s arm around his shoulder, his feet dragging on the ground as Sunghoon brought him towards his room.
Minhee stayed rooted in spot, clothes wet as the tears rushed down. The guilt came from nowhere, thoughts invading her mind as she blamed herself for the younger boy's state.
Of course, she knew it wasn’t her fault. She could’ve never known that he’d faint in the shower, but it didn’t help ease her mind at all.

Minhee was once again left alone with the youngest boy, Sunghoon rushing out to the nearest drugstore to buy Riki some medicine.
While clothing the youngest boy, Sunghoon noticed Riki’s high temperature. He recognized the signs of a fever, his anger spiking as he glared down at the youngest boy.
Riki had been acting differently around him, but keeping his fever a secret? Sunghoon was more than angry, he felt betrayed.
Riki always came to him while he was sick, his need for comfort enhanced. He also knew Riki didn’t go to Minhee, and he had a leading suspicion about the reason why.
“He loves you a lot, I can’t live with myself knowing I’m holding you both back from each other.” Sunghoon knew Minhee was watching from the doorway, her presence lighting up the room.
“I’m fine with you dating him as well, I thought about it a lot.” Sunghoon leaned back against Minhee, her arms wrapping around his waist from his back.
“I want nothing more than for you to be happy, even if you date another six people.” Sunghoon jokingly shook his head as he sighed, hands wrapping around hers as he squeezed her against him.
“I’m going out to get him medicine, please stay with him?” Sunghoon knew you’d be staying, either way, the computer in your hands giving your plans away.
“Don’t worry about him, I'll be here.”
Minhee’s closure came in a different way that night, she accepted herself for the way she was. She couldn’t choose who to love, but if she could then she’d choose these boys in every lifetime.
She crawled into bed beside Riki, head turned towards him as she brushed his hair from his face. “You’ll be okay, noona is here with you.” Her lips softly pressed against his cheek, his eyes closed as she rested her forehead against him.
“I know” She didn’t flinch when she felt his hand press against her cheek. “Please don’t scare me again.”
“I won’t.”
“Do you promise?”
“I’d do anything for you, Minhee.”
She pulled her face away from him, his tender gaze locked onto hers as he returned the favour, brushing her hair back.
“I want you to listen to something, can you?” Riki nodded once at her, his eyes never leaving her face as she pulled open her computer.
He stayed still as she pushed her earphones into his ears, his head resting against the pillow as her melody played in his ears.
“Is this hesitance or is this feeling heaven-sent? Minhee, what does that mean?” Riki repeated the song, his eyes wide as he searched her face for answers.
She didn’t respond and just allowed the song to continue playing, “Maybe we could be sweet eternity.” Minhee sang along to the words, her eyes searching his as the guitar set in her ears.
“Riki, I’m in love with you.” Minhee sat with her breath in her throat, hands twiddling with each other as Riki’s jaw dropped.
“I have been for a while, I love you so much.” Riki tried sitting up, his head tilting back in pain as his head grew heavy.
“No, don’t move!” Minhee rose to her knees, leaning over him as she pressed his shoulders down against the pillows.
“But what about Sunghoon?” Minhee closed her eyes with a sigh, the realization setting in her mind.
“He’s fine with it, he knows how I feel about you.”
Riki’s smile had always been Minhee’s favourite thing, her love spreading throughout her body as she watched the way his face lit up.
“You don’t know how long I've loved you, Minhee.”
Maybe at this moment, she didn’t know, but within the next few days, she’d quickly know everything there was to know.
“And you don’t know how long I’ve loved you back, Riki.”
Min Yeonhee was Riki’s first and last heartbreak, but she was also his first and last love.
