Picture this:

the Sunny is coming up on a winter island. It’s soup weather. Sanji is making a rich potato soup and freshly made mini baguettes, each with a different scoring on the dough for each nakama. For Ussop, the scoring looks suspiciously like his nose; for Nami, little tangerine blossoms; for Zoro, sword like scoring.

Zoro has been working to show Sanji he’s not just a dumb swordsman. Sure, he (allegedly) gets lost on every island, and yeah, he might not be the brightest member on the crew, but he can learn a little bit of Sanjis mother language here and there, with Robins help of course. So when he sees Sanji making dinner, he decides to kill two birds with one stone and compliment his cooking in French.

After working with Robin on exactly what to say, he walks confidently into the galley, leaning against the counter next to Sanji and says “that smells delicious, love cook. Je veux tremper ma baguette dans ta soupe”

When Zoro gets kicked through the wall of the galley by a red faced, stammering Sanji, Frankie is crying over the ship damage, Nami is yelling about the costs of lumber, and Robin is hiding a small mischevious smile behind her book.
