Langston Hughes once posed the question, 'What happens to a dream deferred?' Dreams Don't Chase Themselves is a powerful short film where Hezekiah's character chronicles the various challenges he's been faced with in the pursuit of his career. It explores a range of emotion anywhere from self doubt to handling outside influences. In each scene he skillfully demonstrates how important it is to internalize, acknowledge, and address the things that are standing in the way of his vision coming to fruition. Editor's Pick | Under LA Double Crossed Leotard

I come across a plethora of independent brands and up and coming fashion designers. Sometimes I write about them, or give a shout out via social media, but Under LA is one of those that always sticks in my mind and keeps me coming back to see what they have brewing. From LA to Tokyo, their arrival was much needed in the industry. It was very hard for me to choose what I like the best in their reputa. From their men's, women's, and unisex offerings, they have their finger on the pulse.  Fashion is not just about labels.  Although there are some labels that cannot be denied for their dopeness. Fashion is not just about 'stunting,' although... hey, it happens. I chose Under LA's Double Crossed Leotard as my pick of the week because it does what a great piece of art should do... be aesthetically pleasing, have an message, but yet be left to the viewers interpretation.
