I think if you aren’t one of the lucky few already in place that you maybe can underestimate how MUCH my brain has been taken over by this survivor project. I am organizing a trello board.

I loved Polly Honeycombe’s reaction to learning Nell isn’t a man … she didn’t adamantly deny that truth or the truth that she was still attracted to Nell. Up until that point, we had only heard her talking and writing about men, but she didn’t have any revulsion or questioning. The audience saw no “Oh I guess I’m attracted to women now”, Polly just accepted that and kissed her not long after learning that info.

(This of course works toward the easy editing out of their kiss, but that was something good to come out of it. It refreshing that we didn’t see any complicated feelings within Polly discovering her queerness.)

I truly believe that nona is alecto/the body for the very simple and vitally important reason that harrow and nona/alecto/the body will meet at some point and harrow will be like O immortal Body, I have kept troth with you these many long and darkling years, I have sworn my heart, worthless thing though it may be, to you, I cast my fragile and aching body at your feet (and etc etc)

and the Body will look at her with those ineffable golden eyes and open her imperfectly beautiful mouth and say, her own true voice ringing out in harrow's ears for the very first time, "Hi! I like dogs, do you like dogs? I kissed you in the mirror once. Do you want to be best friends?"

And harrow will instantly be like Ohhh :/// I'm cured. I'm not in love with her anymore. where's gideon. ianthe? anyone.

I made the mistake of thinking about The Implications and... If we take as fact that Pokey is having fun with his toys throughout all of TGWDLM by using their Infected!selves to reenact a story that already happened (since Emma is shown singing in the intro song but got infected after Paul/the conclusion of the musical), that implies that Ted is once again trapped in a loop of watching the woman he clearly cares about dying, which just kinda hurts a little so I'm cursing y'all with it

another thing i love about dungeon meshi along with how theres adequate time given to every character that matters! Is that like. Along with no "every single character in supporting cast gets put on the backburner in favor of MC / other character development" is that theres also no "god these characters are all so boring except that one guy who is tragic and compelling" bc they all have the same capacity for compelling tragedy (and such).

And it also doesn't feel like when ppl tack on as much Bad Things onto a characters life just to emphasize tragedy or hardship... Theres a good balance in each of em. The recent leaked izutsumi dark lore implication drop wasn't even in the main story and it doesnt feel like that quirky "i love torturing my ocs! 🤪🤪🤪🤪 (Literally just throwing everything into one pot)" sentiment i see here often if that makes sense. It doesn't feel Edgy ykwim
