The dino benches are super cute. The angle is a little weird, though. And there's other seating if you're scared of dinosaurs. Looks like there's non-dino flat benches in the back on the right and a raised stone bench / retaining wall area on the left with grass and trees. I'm a little worried that there's no arm rests on any of the seating areas, though. It might be difficult for people with mobility issues to stand back up. Super cute for in front of a dino museum, though! And I totally want one.
We actually ended up visiting Gundam Base twice on our most recent trip to Japan!
The first time we casually arrived around the middle of the afternoon on a super wet Friday...which also happened to be a public holiday for the emperor's birthday!
Needless to say, the whole place was packed, and Gundam Base was so busy that they had both switched to a ticketed entry system AND they had also run out of tickets for that day!
(The big statue outside still looked cool in the rain, though!)
Luckily, we had a spare day in our itinerary especially for last-minute places that we wanted to revisit and we used it well!
This time the weather was lovely and we got there fifteen minutes before opening time, but even being that early still saw us lining up behind around 50 people who had also turned up early!
We eventually got in, and Stef got to pick out some gundam model kits! He got one that was exclusive to that store that he was super excited about (a luminous crystal body Unicorn gundam!) and after filling his basket (and the arms of one helpful gundam wife) we left and continued on our little adventures, gundam kits in hand!
