introduction (i am not going to live like this anymore)
hello, I’m 空 (kong).
it’s currently midnight on a school night. i have six hours of screen time, an unfinished to-do list, crushing inertia, and a university application waiting for me in a few months’ time.
i’m a good student, and i have high ambitions. yet for the last few weeks i’ve basically worked the bare minimum to keep up appearances, while living in a hole of dysfunction and self-hatred. not working, not reading, not speaking or relaxing. just festering.
i can’t do that anymore. i love myself too much to let this be my future.
so welcome to my blog: project Get Out Of This Hole No Matter What!
i’m a high school student doing my a-levels (humanities).
i speak english and chinese fluently.
updates will be posted to the #kong’s diaryᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ tag.
this will not be a “normal” studyblr. i won’t post pictures (i’m a minor, i don’t want irls finding me). it’ll be more like a diary, or a confessional.
to live fiercely, to inhabit my ideal. to give everything i can to the girl i love the most. that’s all i want. and it’s going to be hard.
but i can do it. i have to.
i don’t have any other choice.

Got over buyer’s remorse!! bought a coat and didn’t feel guilty because it’s something I needed(I’ve been wearing my dad’s old coat for the past year)🫀
losses:
holy phone addiction, batman📵
been pushing the same 3 tasks to tomorrow’s to-do list for five days now… need to build more reliability with myself, it’s like I don’t trust the promises I make

my entire body aches from practice yesterday🩸
the feeling of loneliness from yesterday is enveloping me and I don’t know why. it’s not like there’s nobody by my side or anything, it’s just that I still feel so empty. i think it’s a subconscious form of homesickness 🎭
which is scary… exams are soon, kong! No time to waste moping around
stayed up past my bedtime doomscrolling 📵

WORE A NEW OUTFIT!! it’s kind of different from my usual style so I was kind of nervous but I think I looked prettyT_T🐰

🎵hurry up, don’t be lazy: challenge myself to get in 4h of fully-focused studying
🎶so much to do and lots to see: revise all of my subjects and don’t neglect a single! Area!

I DID THIS!!!! ate lunch with someone i barely know and it was really lovely. put up my hand a LOT in class and asked questions instead of stewing in silence like usual

only 3h after school but technically I also had 90 minutes of study period in school ….
🐰I WASN'T super shy today!!! and yeah it was embarrassing sometimes but who gaf. I think the spirit of today was met.

super shy❌❌ super tired✅✅✅ this challenge was all about having the it girl idol vibe but I just felt like such a fraud today. brain worked slowly, tasks + recovery took longer and I barely scraped the gunk off my towering to-do list.  yesterday a girl complimented me on my work ethic and asked how I always stayed disciplined and I just wanted to burst out laughing. i guess one of the most idol-esque things is putting on a brave face and working your hardest even through fatigue. so I think I'm still hitting the spirit of the challenge.

achievements for yesterday because it was bad but I kept going
ran some errands
spent 30 minutes on fully focused research
worried and fretted about my project for the whole day but worrying = thinking about it and thinking about it = planning. so I am not going to beat myself up about this.
revised a tiny bit of every subject in an end-of-day wrap-up and now I don't feel so lost
finished a great book

- morning study/walk. bought bakery bread and fruit
- notes for class 2 and one piece of homework done
- emailed an academic for my extended project
- homework for class 3 completed
- glammed up for a school ball 😇

- noontime ROT!! only did 2 out of 3 tasks
- actually revolting level of screen time
- did not help someone and was eaten alive by guilt
