playlist / headcanon — girl group favorites (fuse and femme fatale)
summary: it’s a secret that he carries, and doesn’t mention that often. fuse has provided him some of the happiest moments (in private) of course, of that fan boy feeling that comes from watching new performances/watching new music. recently, this love(?) for fuse has been pushed under the backburner due to some personal vendettas and with gold star’s new girl group — femme fatale. he never expected to really get into a girl group, and never has before. however, there seems to be something special about these two groups that keep the songs onto his go-to’s when he’s alone and creatively stumped. the songs are his personal favs.
headcanon: detailed explanation — aka a ‘hear me out’ on why someone into hiphop would love these two groups.

for someone who considers themselves with ‘refined’ hip-hop taste, he has a secret which is loving fuse and femme fatale
this has not been made vocal, and he himself was also shocked to find himself inside a fanship — but it’s gotten to a point where he signed up to their fan cafe under the name ‘fusionguy’ (guy is a play on his name gyu)
where he first got invested with fuse was in 2015, when they released dumb dumb. it was one of the harder moments for him inside knight — his scandals coming to light, and treading on this ice. he’d be stuck inside the studio making music he knew he would never get a chance to release
in the end, he stumbled upon their mv for dumb dumb and that’s when something clicked. it was less about the stereotypical ‘idol’ but more about music creation in artform
from then, he’s been steadily following fuse’s music — the biggest charm he thinks they have is the fact that each concept is a new genre, and they never stick with one song. the beats are perfect, and so versatile that he knows nobody else could pull off. on top of that, their title tracks aren’t the only good songs the b sides blow everyone out of the waters.
he didn’t pay much attention to the members though, more so just the music. it’s rare for him to know names of other groups outside of the industry, but he knows all the fuse member’s name and really thinks each one of them are talented
fun fact: when he dj’s sometimes in a club (very rarely) the one song he always plays is peeakboo because he thinks it’s one of the greatest songs that anyone has ever released
a bunch of his friends in the underground scene also love fuse, and for that they’ve bonded over joining the fan cafes together
if he had to work with someone? it’d probably be miyeon or sooah — he knows suji has a strong set of vocals, but also is aware his style of rap would never suit a ballader voice like that
however, femme fatale also changed and he found the girl crush concept interesting at first not really a fan or anything
it took a few listens till he found that they also have a distinct sound — they rarely branch away from that sound, which was fair but who was he to judge?
it wasn’t until as if it’s your last that he really saw the duality, and it was the duality that hooked him into that fandom
currently, he’s not signed into their fan cafe but still pays close attention to their music
the loud edm isn’t his forte, but the flow of the lead rapper/main dancer reminds him heavily of cardi’s flow — because of that, he really wants to work with the lead rapper/main dancer of ff — added that into his bucket list
the reason why fuse is still > ff in his group is that ff still hasn’t jumped away from the same sound/pattern in their music, and he thinks it’s more so gold star’s marketing than anything else
still!! he really enjoys both groups thoroughly and thinks gold star girl groups >>>>>>>>>>>>>
if someone were to clock him on this, he’d deny all charges (doesn’t want to admit that he’s that big of a fan)
