Who's using them least to most often

David:

Doesn't realize he's doing it and wouldn't believe you if you told him he was either. It mostly happens when he wants Angel to sit still and cuddle with him. Angel teases him about it every now and then. He'll just bury his head in the crook of their neck and deny it.

Milo:

Strategically uses them. Like when he wants to get out of playing a horror game. Or when he's trying to win a debate. Milo has been known to pick up Aggro and hold him next to his face. Puppy eyes on full display. The combo is lethal, and he knows it. There's also a quick change from puppy eyes to bedroom eyes that still boggles Sweetheart.

Darlin':

Does it all the time and doesn't even know. David, Ash, and Milo has seen it at least once. How quickly Sam would fold and how he'd struggle to hold himself back from locking them in a bear hug. They didn't wanna believe it when the guys joked about it, but Baaabe was quick to come with receipts. A picture found in the Mates group chat and taken by Sweetheart proved otherwise.

Asher:

All the damn time and to everyone. That's just how he's wired. Asher has one of those faces it's hard to say no to. It's not impossible, but it happens. Especially when he does it to people he's known nearly his entire life. There's a 50/50 success rate when it comes to Baaabe. They're used to his antics and doesn't have a problem with dishing out "consequences." But if there's no harm, why not let him have his way?

I MANAGED TO FINISH MY ESSAYS THAT WERE DUE TODAY SO I'M POSTING THIS AS A LIL TREAT FOR MYSELF

Basically, a scenario in which the Inversion had just ended and Marie Greer appears, worried for the sake of the pack and for her son.

(I don't write often so please forgive me if it's ass)

The dreadful apocalypse has ended. Everyone was getting treated, frantically finding loved ones, relief, agony, pain, almost any emotion you could think of. It was here.

"You still holding up?"

"I'll manage."

A few members of the pack were gathered together, getting treated by the doctors and healers present. David, Asher, Tank and their mates, huddled together keeping each other company.

"David!"

A distant cry caught their attention, and members of the pack knew that voice all too well.

"...Marie...?" David says, in a state of disbelief.

He, and everyone else, saw the woman rush up to them, a mix of worry and relief on her face as she cried out to them. Once she reached them, she immediately pulled David into her grasp.

"Thank the stars above you're alive!" She cries, "I was so worried!"

She begins to hug and check everyone.

"Are you all alright?"

"We're fine, Marie. There's no need to worry," says Asher, trying to reassure her.

Marie let's out a sigh of relief and took one last look around, and that's when she realized...

"...David...where's Milo?"

"..."

David stays silent, unsure of what to say as to not worry her. But Marie was far from calm already. Sure he managed to communicate with him, but his whereabouts? Unknown to him.

"David, where is my son!?"

"...I-"

"David..."

Tank catches David's attention and points out into the distance.

"Look."

Everyone turns to see a dark figure moving closer amongst the mist. As it grew more clear, it was someone carrying another person in their arms, and as it grew even more clearer, everyone's eyes widen.

"...Sneaks..."

"...Milo..."

Marie immediately rushed up to the two, seeing how the detective was struggling to walk, ultimately falling to their knees.

"Miles!"

Sweetheart looked up to see their boyfriend's mother rushing to them, crying out in a panic. Marie, once close enough, reached out and touched their face.

"Oh honey, are you alright?"

"I'm...fine, Marie..."

Both of them turned their attention to the man being carried. His eyes closed and breathing patterns uneasy.

"...Miles..."

Marie kneels down and gently cups her son's face. The injuries that she saw visible on him pained her, and the fact that he wasn't awake didn't help either. She then places her other hand on his chest, trying to feel his heart.

The rest of the pack eventually catch up to see the state of their pack member and friend. Some look away, not bring able to bare the sight, while others feel like the can't look away.

Marie cries as she worries for her son, but a small shiver runs through her body when he feels a rough hand over her own. She looks down at her hand at his chest, and saw a rough, scratched up hand had slid over hers.

Marie turns back to her son's face, seeing how his eyes were now ever so slightly open and a weak smile forms on his face.

"...Hi, ma..."

Marie breaks out into tears and a smile, as she moves to rest her forehead on his. Everyone else became relieved when they saw him awake.

"Even after all these years, you still find a way to have me worried sick," says Marie.

"Yeah yeah, scold me later."

Milo winces in pain as he tries to move.

"Hey, don't try to move too much," says Sweetheart,"I got you..."

"...Alright, all of you, healing stations. Now."

I have a feeling that Babe was really nervous about integrating into the pack since they were unempowered and (depending on if you think Angel came before them or not) was the first unempowered mate or was the newest unempowered mate.

So how did they cope with this? By having a notebook full of all the little things they learned about the pack and its mates.

Pages are scattered and random, just scribbled notes whenever they hear something.

For example:

Sweetheart knows...at least two languages. Maybe more. Further testing required. Spanish was expected. Korean was not.

Pretty sure Sam only owns flannels. Definitely sure that it drives Milo crazy.

Darlin used to have a smoking habit. Doesn't like to talk about it. Probably something to do with Quinn. Still coughs like a smoker though. And carries a lighter.

David chews on his lip when he's thinking, bites his nails when nervous. Remember the difference.

Milo owns a cat!! Calls him Aggro, no idea if that's his full name or just a nickname.

Darlin does tricks with their lighter when bored. Stresses David out, thinks they're going to catch a spark on their jacket and light themself on fire. To his credit, I wouldn't be surprised if that did happen.

Angel is the last to fall asleep at sleepovers. How they stay up until 3 AM then wake up at 8 being fully refreshed is worth scientific testing.

Sweetheart makes the most intense eye contact. Probably part of their investigator training but it's a little scary.

Milo judges everyone's outfit whenever they enter the room. Every time. Quick flick up and down. Head tilt if he approves. Eyebrow twitch if he doesn't.

Sam's house has no pictures of him from before the turn?? Is that a normal thing for vampires??

Angel doesn't know how to sit in a chair normally. Shocked they don't break something with some of their positions.
