David: Regina, check into their cameras.
Regina: Oh sure, let me just load my
“tap into every security camera in Storybrooke” app.
Regina: *taps the screen*
Regina: I’m sorry if that sounded like sarcasm. It wasn’t. I am in.

It's honestly really funny to me that in S1 Storybrooke, a town over which Regina has full control, a town she specifically created for the purpose of achieving victory and bringing total misery to her enemies, a town in which any dark reality or terrible fate could be tailor-made to its victims, Snow White—her chief rival, occupying the pinnacle of her hatred—is just. A school teacher. A job she clearly enjoys and for which she is well-suited. With a minimum-two-bed loft. And a wardrobe of absolutely adorable clothes. Like I get that she's separated from her One True Love and all, but also, I feel like Regina could have gone at least 70% meaner on this.

My favorite part of the ouat family tree forest is the first branch that seems kinda straightforward at first but is actually the most convoluted and the show hardly ever addresses half of it. Henry's birth mother is Emma. Emma's parents are Snow and David. Henry's adoptive mother is Regina. Snow's step mother is Regina. Which means even if Regina had never adopted Henry she still would've been related to him. Regina is Henry's adoptive mother and step great grandmother by birth. Emma and Regina share custody of Henry but Regina is also Emma's step grandmother. Which is not ever once acknowledged

i love when its obvious a fic writer is a severe regina apologist bc I too am a severe regina apologist, like dont get me wrong I eat up a good redemption arc fic but theres something so hilariously good about fics where regina is like "hehe im evil" and then it backfires bc the town loves storybrooke

Emma Swan had only been in Storybrooke for a week when her best friend, Ruby, offered her a job at her family's towing company, Granny's Tows. It wasn’t glamorous, but it paid the bills, and Emma was grateful for the opportunity. On her first solo shift, armed with a list of illegally parked cars, Emma set out to make her mark.
As she turned the corner onto Main Street, she spotted a sleek black Mercedes parked in front of a fire hydrant. Smirking at the ease of her first catch, she manoeuvred the tow truck into position and began hooking up the car. She had just finished securing the vehicle when a voice, icy and commanding, cut through the air.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
Emma turned to see a striking woman in a tailored suit, dark hair perfectly styled, glaring at her with an intensity that could melt steel. The aura of authority was unmistakable.
“I’m towing this car,” Emma replied evenly, matching the woman’s stare. “It’s parked illegally.”
“That car,” the woman said, enunciating each word with precision, “is mine. And I am the mayor of this town.”
Emma raised an eyebrow, unfazed. “Even mayors have to follow the rules, Madam Mayor.”
The woman’s eyes narrowed. “Do you have any idea who you’re dealing with?”
Emma shrugged. “A woman who thinks she’s above the law, from where I’m standing.”
The tension crackled in the air between them. Regina Mills, the formidable mayor of Storybrooke, was not accustomed to being challenged, especially not by some newcomer with a cocky attitude. She took a step closer, her voice lowering to a dangerous whisper.
“Unhook my car. Now.”
Emma stood her ground. “Can’t do that. You’re parked in a no-parking zone, and the law’s the law. You can pick it up from the impound lot.”
Regina’s fury was palpable, but there was something else in her eyes, something that flickered with a mixture of annoyance and grudging respect. “I’ll see to it that you regret this,” she hissed before turning on her heel and marching away.
As Emma watched her go, she couldn’t help but smile. “Welcome to Storybrooke, Emma,” she muttered to herself. “This is going to be interesting.”

Regina: And, as always, here’s your weekly reminder that therapy and other psychiatric services are covered by your healthcare plan.
David:
David: Why does she always look at me when she says that?
