Blake: (ears flicking on her head)

Yang: Babe, relax. You already met Ruby briefly, and I can guarentee Dad's gonna love you guys.

Blake: Sorry, just old habits I suppose. We've been dating for a year, and this is the first time I'm going to officially meet your family.

Yang: Meet, yes. But I've already told Dad and Ruby all about you and Kela. Honestly, if we put this off any longer, those two would probably fly to Vale and break into the house just to meet you guys.

Blake: (giggles) That excited, huh?

Yang: Blake, my dad is already calling Kela his granddaughter.

Blake: I mean. You are wearing the shirt.

Yang: (looks down at the 'I'm not the step dad. I'm the dad that stepped up' shirt) It's my favorite shirt!

Blake: Way to further prove my point. (notices the truck pull up to a cabin style house) Kela, sweetheart, we're here.

Kela: (looks up from her book) Yay!

Everyone exits the vehicle and goes up to the house.

Yang: (opens door) Hellooooo! We're here!

thump-thump! Thump-Thump! THUMP-THUMP! THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP!!!!

Taiyang: (engulfs Yang in a bear hug) There's my girl!

Yang: Ack!

Taiyang: (notices Blake and drops Yang) You must be Blake?

Blake: Yes, sir.

Taiyang: Nope! No, Sir, here. Call me Dad. (wraps Blake in a tight hug)

Blake: Ack!

Taiyang: (looks down and sees Kela tucked behind the door) And this must be Kela.

Blake: (still getting the life squeezed out of her) Y-Yes... That's ... my daughter... Can you put me down now?

Taiyang: (puts Blake down and starts tapping his feet excitedly)

Blake: (gasps before turning to Yang) What is he doing?

Yang: I told him that he wasn't allowed to hug or talk to Kela until you introduced them. The man loves kids, but I didn't want him to go overboard like he just did with you. Otherwise he would do whatever he wanted. You're in control with what is and isn't okay.

Blake: Thank you. (turns to Kela) Kela, sweetheart, say hello to Mr. Xiao Long. He's Yang's father.

Taiyang: Oh, come on! You can call me gran-

Yang: (glares)

Taiyang: (sweats) Mr. Xiao Long is my father. How about we just go with Tai for now?

Blake: That's fine. Kela, why don't you come say hello?

Kela: (steps forward with her hands behind her back) Hello, Mr. Tai.

Taiyang: (clutches his chest as tears swell in his eyes) Hey, there, kiddo. I hear you like roses?

Kela: (perks up) Mmhmm.

Taiyang: Well, I have a rosebush in the garden. Do you want to go see it?

Kela: (looks between Blake and Yang)

Blake & Yang: (nod)

Kela: Okay!

Taiyang: Amazing! Let's go! But I'm a little old and decrepit. Do you mind holding my hand on the way out? I don't want to fall and break my hip.

Kela: Okay. (holds hand out)

Blake: (watches Taiyang take Kela's hand and go out to the garden) Thank you for reeling him in.

Yang: He means well, but he's definitely a bit much. He forgets that most people who aren't from Patch don't know he's a primary school teacher. It's gotten him in trouble a few times.

Blake: I can't imagine why. (watches as Taiyang puts Kela on his shoulders so she can see the sunflowers).

Ruby: (inside the house) Yang! Is that you?! Where's Blake and the kiddo?! I demand hugs!!!

Yang: Better go meet the sister before she tackles you to the ground.
