Man don’t you just love it when you write negative character development? When the character who was originally a loving and caring person/leader goes into a downward spiral? When they lose all sense of themselves because they think the only way to survive is to become someone else? To lose everything that makes them them? When they believe their destiny is prewritten just because of the past and they think that that path leads straight? That they never had the chance to be soft, the way they wanted to, because they couldn’t figure out how to be benevolent and powerful? Don’t you think this was fate? Because they do. They think that they’ve always been more comfortable in chaos, when at one point they shivered at the word war. They used to be afraid of the dark but now they let it take them by the hand, where prayers can’t reach them. They’ve found their fire, but it burned too bright and now they stand in the ashes of who they used to be. People don’t recognize this person who embodies l’appel du vide. That person had no choice but to answer the call. The claim they’ve always been this way. This tragedy is innate.

You know the trope of a whumpee having to be tied down while at the hospital/medic center because they’re fighting back and not letting the doctors do their job? I really like the idea of that combined with past noncon because at first maybe the whumpee was only afraid of getting hurt or something but then they’re restrained to the bed and they think that these people are going to do more than just hurt them, they’re going to violate the whumpee just like the whumper(s) used to.
And what if the caretaker is in the room too? And the whumpee stares at them with utter betrayal and hatred because it’s one thing to get treated cruelly by a group of unknowns, but to have someone you trusted to keep you safe and cared for watch as you’re restrained and prepped? To hear someone you thought was your friend tell you to settle down and let the doctors “do what they have to”?
Just. Imagine it.
YES I LOVE THIS

Slippery Egg Over Rice with Bear Milk Tea
Came back for another meal. Had slippery egg over beef rice. Had some soy sauce over the dish. Taste delicious with slight salty flavour. The ovaltine is hot. Pour over a polar bear. A polar bear is taking a hot bath. More authentic Hong Kong style. From “Sing Choi Kee”.
