best friend Stray Kids saving you (or being saved by you) from a bad date | Hyunjin x you
Chan , Minho, Changbin, Jisung , Felix, Seungmin, Jeongin.
Tumblr media
a/n: finally I managed to write the last part of this series, the Hyunjin part! There’s not much “saving” here because I had this dramatic idea in my head and I didn’t want to renounce to it. Enjoy!
The rain outside has been incessant for days, so many that it started to be difficult to recognize the time of the day just by looking at the sky. Everything it’s gray, and you almost forgot about this date. The guy is the cousin of one of your colleagues, and you would have canceled it if only you had a bit more hope. Not on this date, you know it’s gonna end up with you telling the guy it’s not the time for you for a relationship or some other fake excuse, you’ll apologize for wasting his time and the truth is: you do feel sorry for wasting his time, but staying home knowing Hyunjin is probably out there kissing his girlfriend and having fun made you a bit selfish. You ignored him for the last 5 days, after he called you at 2 am and you couldn’t help it but hope it meant something. But what would it mean? You’ll never know, cause you didn’t answer.
Your heartache clings to you like molasses, covers you head to toes, you can feel it under your teeth. You’re so used to it, it doesn’t scare you anymore. But it’s so tiring to wake up everyday and do the same routine: wear your clothes, slip in your shoes, put on your grief, grab your purse. Day after day.
The restaurant you’re having your date at is a nice one, you often order takeout from it. The only downside is that it doesn’t deliver home, so anytime you want its amazing food, you have to get out of your house and come collect it. It’s worth it.
Shivering in your cute top, you nod to something your date just said and reach for the wine glass. You have nothing in common with him, you barely remember his name. Was it Minjoon? Minhyun? Once again something distracts you from the conversation (it’s a monologue, at this point) when you hear your phone chime, signaling a message. And since love is blind, and most days it’s also stupid, you can clearly recognize the tune you use for Hyunjin and Hyunjin only.
Tumblr media
You have been ignoring him, but you were sure he didn’t even notice. Ten minutes pass and you’re on the verge of just leaving the date, apologize profusely and go home to cry. The bell on the door chimes as someone enters and, once again not paying attention to the man in front of you, your eyes wanders to look at whoever enters. It could have been a couple grabbing dinner, it could have been parents celebrating their kid’s success, it could have been anyone. But just as love is blind, so is luck. Because it’s Hyunjin who just entered the restaurant, and it’s Hyunjin looking directly at you, eyebrows knit in a frown and a sour expression distorting his lips. You’re frozen in your seat, watching him shaking his head, speaking with a waiter, collecting his dinner and leaving. You can't have him leave like this. Something in your gut is telling you it’s now or never, if you let him go now, you might as well let him go forever. And you’re not ready for that.
In a blur of apologies and confused sentences you leave your share of money on the tablecloth and, grabbing your purse, you flee the restaurant. It doesn’t matter that you left your jacket on the back of your chair, it doesn’t matter that’s it’s pouring outside, it matters only your voice calling his name.
He doesn’t turn, doesn’t stop, keeps on waking under the rain, head down and fast steps. You start doing that awkward running walk, reaching to grab his wrist. This effectively makes him stop, but he looks displeased.
“Why did you leave without saying goodbye?”
“You’re on a date.” He frees himself from your grasp, almost like your touch burns him.
“So?”
“So you’re having dinner with another man. Why would I interrupt?”
“Because you always come say ‘hi’ when you meet me by chance.”
“Not when you’re on a date!” He snips. You’re still both under the rain. For a moment you wonder why he hasn’t insisted on moving under a covering. You haven’t because the cold rain is soothing your nerves, soothing the pain you feel anytime you’re too close to him. Did Icarus feel like this when he was soaring too close to the sun? Did he wish for the rain when the scorching wax burned his skin? Did he love the freedom so much he reveled in the pain, hating it at the same time?
“I never go on dates!”
“Clearly, you do.”
You sigh, “this was my first date in 4 years, Hyune.”
“And I didn’t know you had a date, wanna guess why? Because you ignored me for days!” He uses his free hand to push back the strands of hair that fell on his face, dripping wet.
“I thought you were busy. Last time we talked you were really focused on getting ready to meet your girlfriend. Why would I interrupt that?” He’s baffled, and rightly so. In the past, you had no qualms about texting him at all hours.
“Well, I was focused”, you can hear his mocking tone. When did this transform into a fight? “because I was meeting her to put an end to our relationship, because I realized I’ll never be in love with her because I am crazy in love with you. And I tried to call you because I needed to tell you so, I needed to know I did the right thing. I thought this wasn’t one sided. And yet you ignored me and- fuck” he laughs disheartened. “-and went on a date with another man.”
“I- you, what?” You blink rapidly, drops of rain blurring your sight. “You broke up with her? For…” you can’t say it. You can’t bring yourself to say ‘for me’, because it’d make it real. And it could be the best thing or the worst thing. Or both, at the same time. Did Icarus ever think he’d succeed? Did he ever consider he could fly, escape and be free; or did he -like you- only ever imagined failure in front of him? Was he like you, swimming stroke after stroke towards something, wishing for the best but never thinking it could come true? There’s a certain push that animates the despairings, there’s no fight or flight response. There’s only the pilgrimage towards the unreachable goal.
“For you.”
A beat passes. Another. Another one.
“Since when?”
“Since you held my hand after that nightmare. Since I realized I'm not scared when I’m with you.”
There’s something they don’t tell you about desperation, about wanting something so bad that you can feel it missing from your own body. For weeks, for months, you get used to the longing, the yearning. When you can finally wrap your hands around his shoulder, when you can press your lips against his and hear him utter a soft groan, all that you used to feel transforms into electricity, it runs through your whole body and sets you aflame from the inside. This kind of burning, though? It’s a welcomed feeling.

⭐︎ ━━━ ARE YOU COMING?
⭐︎ ━━━ CONTENT: ROCKSTAR!HYUNJIN, ALCOHOL, PROTECTED SEX, FINGERING, DRUNK (ISH) SEX,

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
District 9 was not the best club but if you needed to get drunk, it did it. Y/n was already a couple of shots and a drink in when Changbin joined the group—Jeongin and Felix on their first drinks.
“Why?” Changbin asked
“Why not?” Y/n asked as the music stopped
“Alright. I’m sure you were all enjoying the music but we’ve got a couple of live performances for you tonight. Help me welcome HONEY to the stage.” the DJ said
“Mm, let’s get closer!” Y/n said seeing people break away from the floor and grab drinks or seats.
Y/n dragged her friends towards the stage. Squeezing through the smaller crowd as the band was in their places. “Hello, We’re HONEY and we are going to play a few songs from our new EP.” Y/n assumed what the singer said.
“He’s hot,” Y/n smiled
“She’s got her sights on him,” Felix joked behind her
Y/n glared at her friend. Before their music started. Y/n quickly turned to the stage, swaying just slightly to the beat. They had a more rock/alternative style from what she could tell. But she liked it— especially the singer’s style and voice.
She swayed a little to the music as she sipped her drink. The alcohol in her system and the atmosphere lifted her mood. Especially when the singer made eye contact with her. She kept it with him for a few moments while he went through their chorus then broke the eye contact.
“Does that mean I’m just taking Felix and Innie home tonight?” Changbin asked her
“We’ll see,” Y/n smiled
She kept up with their set, meeting the eyes of the singer a few times before they said their thanks and got off stage.
“Five bucks she’s gonna find him,” Jeongin said
“Five bucks he finds her first,” Felix said
“Fuck both of you,” Y/n rolled her eyes.
“You’ve only fucked one of us. And it’s not me,” Jeongin said
“You make me need a drink,” Changbin sighed
“Speaking of, I’m getting another,” Y/n told them and made her way through the crowd to the bar. It wasn’t too crowded thankfully. However, it did take a moment to get the bartender’s attention.
“Excuse me,” A voice said behind her.
She looked to see if she was in someone’s way and apologize, just to see the singer from minutes ago, “Hey,” Y/n smiled
“Hey,” he replied, “Can I buy you a drink?”
“If you tell me you’re name.”
“Hyunjin.” The blonde smiled
“Y/n.”
“What can I get you?” The bartender asked as they finally came over
“Order whatever,” Hyunjin said as he took out his card
Y/n ordered her previous drink and he ordered one for himself. He paid for the drinks as the bartender got to work on the drinks. “Here with someone?” Hyunjin asked
“Few friends. I wanted to drink and dragged them out,” Y/n explained
“And District 9 is where you guys came?” He asked as they got their drinks.
“One of my friends said he had a couple of clients that said there was live music tonight. I’m just here for the drinks.”
“Just the drinks?” Hyunjin asked
“Maybe a little more,” Y/n smirked and sipped her drink
Hyunjin returned the look as they both walked away from the bar. Finding a clear table and sitting, just talking and flirting a bit as they drank. She could feel her friend’s eyes on her and Hyunjin could feel his friends watching them too.
“Do you live out here?” Y/n asked
“Yeah,” Hyunjin nodded, “Why? Wanna come back to mine?”
“I mean, if you’re offering.”
Hyunjin and Y/n both finished off their drinks before he offered her his hand and brought her out of the club. Grabbing a cab from the street and giving them his apartment address. He kept a hand on her thigh as they had a hushed conversation in the back of the cab. Killing time till they got to his apartment, exchanging phone numbers in the back as well just as they pulled up to the building. Hyunjin paid the driver and the two got out. Hyunjin held her hand as they got into the building and into the elevator.
Once the door closed, Y/n had Hyunjin back up against the wall. He smiled at her and placed his hands on her hips. Their lips met somewhere in the middle, molding together in a heated kiss. His hands gripped her hips tight as he leaned forward. Y/n moaned into the kiss as his tongue swiped along her bottom lip before the elevator dinged. The two pulled away and Hyunjin noticed it was his floor. He quickly led her out and down the hall to his unit. Hurriedly he grabbed out his keys and got them both in the door.
Hyunjin had her pressed up against the door. Lips enveloping hers as his hands held onto her ass. Y/n moaned into the kiss as she wrapped one of her legs around his hip. Hyunjin moved a hand to hold her leg up while he slipped his tongue into her mouth. Y/n held onto his jacket as his tongue wrapped around hers.
He pulled away from her lips just to attach them to her neck. Sucking on the skin as she grabbed at his hair. “Jinnie,” Y/n moaned, feeling his hard dick against her
“What you need princess?” he asked
“Dick. In me. Please,” Y/n begged
Hyunjin pulled away from her and led her down to his bedroom. Pinning her down to his bed after taking off his jacket. His hands went up her skirt and grabbed onto her panties. Y/n lifted her hips for him to pull them off.
Hyunjin practically ripped the fabric down her legs and ran two fingers through her folds. His lips attached to her neck as he pushed his fingers into her.
“Oh fuck,” Y/n whined
Hyunjin kissed her neck and curled the digits up into her walls. Y/n grabbed onto the back of his neck, gripping his hair. A bit shocked at how long his fingers felt in her. They looked long but felt longer. Hyunjin smiled as more moans fell from her lips especially when she moaned his name.
Y/n pulled up the back of his shirt as his fingers spread her open. Trying to get the clothes off his back to feel him against her. His free hand moved up her shirt. Y/n arched her back as his hand groped her chest.
“Need you, please Jin,” Y/n begged
“Yeah? Need me in you?” The singer asked
“Yes!” Y/n begged
Hyunjin pulled away and licked his fingers clean. Y/n took the opportunity to tear off her top and tossed it to the side. Hyunjin followed not long after. Both stripped away their clothing till there was nothing left. Hyunjin dug through his side drawer and found a condom.
Hyunjin tore open the foil and rolled the rubber on his length. Lining himself up at her entrance before pushing in. Y/n gasped and grabbed hold of his forearms. Hyunjin smiled as he sank into her. Pushing her legs up to her chest, listening to her moans as he sank deeper.
“Fuck,” Y/n moaned as he started thrusting into her.
Hyunjin didn’t start slow but didn’t go too fast. He leaned her legs on his shoulders as he planted his hands next to her head. Leaning over her as his hips snapped into her. Both moaning and cursing under their breaths with each hit. Y/n reached between her legs, rolling her fingers over her clit before Hyunjin noticed. Replacing her fingers with his and taking over. Enjoying the moans that came from her. Y/n grabbed at the sheets under her as she clenched around. The knot in her stomach was building till it was too much to handle. Shaking under him as he fucked her through her high.
Hyunjin moved her legs off his shoulders as she came down. His own high on the brink and came on a few thrusts later. Groaning as he filled the condom with his load. Pressing his hips firmly against hers. “Fuck,” Hyunjin groaned as he hung his head, catching his breath
Y/n pushed his slightly damp hair back and Hyunjin looked back at her. Smiling before leaning back to her lips.

QUEENMAKER | CHAPTER 20

pairing chan x reader
genre ninth member au, angst, fluff, coming of age, social media, cancel culture, anxiety, depression, forbidden love,
summary To JYPE, the solution is simple; take the sole trainee that will not debut with your brand new girl group, and use her to replace the missing vocalist in your male group that insisted on starting as nine.
Unfortunately, to the fans and the members themselves, it isn't that simple.

You're sitting in a small, empty waiting room, away from the hustle and noise of the main room, when I.N flies through the open doorway and straight across the room, his feet moving so fast that you swear he almost crashes into the wall on the other side.
"Hide me," he says, sliding onto the floor on the far side of your seat.
You blink in confusion, frowning as you look down at him. "What?"
"From Changbin," he says, his breath hitching in his throat like he's been running for miles, and aggressively waves a hand towards the door. "Don't look down here. Hide me."
"I.N-AH!" Changbin's voice cries in the hallway as if summoned by the very mention of his name, the final syllable drawn out long and loud. The sound, and the grimace that covers I.N's face in response as he sits there curled against the wall makes you crack a smile, your eyes tearing away from him and back to your phone screen just in time to feign innocence as Changbin appears in the open doorway, a wide grin on his face as his eyes search the visible parts of the room.
"I.N-ah~," he calls, cajolingly now, and leans through the door as if that will be enough to entice the younger boy out, to make him forget about the deranged yelling that had followed him down the hallway just a moment before. "Come on, I.N-ah. I just want to give you my love."
From behind him, you spy Hyunjin with a camera in one hand, hovering over Changbin's shoulder as he hesitates to come into the room. His other hand is covering his mouth, trying to stifle a laugh. "He's not in here," you tell them, resisting every urge to look down at the boy hiding behind your chair - or to break, a laugh trying its hardest to bubble up to the surface of your lips no matter how hard you shove it down. "He ran past going that way." You point out to the hall again, in the direction Changbin had been heading.
Changbin stares at you for a moment, eyes narrowed like he's trying to figure out if you're lying or not. "I saw him come in here," he says, but only like he's testing the waters - not like he's sure of the fact, or willing to defend it with his life.
A smile creeps across your face. "You're seeing things again," you say, and watch him scoff and bluster, withdrawing from the doorway.
"Our noona is lying to me," he says to the camera, and then giggles when he looks back to see the look on your face before he leaves, saying something to Hyunjin that you can't quite hear when their voices fade down the hallway, following their footsteps.
Several seconds later, I.N climbs out of hiding, circling around you to slump onto the other end of the couch in a sigh of relief. "I knew I could trust you," he says, a hand tossing his hair away from his forehead and then reaching to drag his own phone out of his pocket.
"Is this what you usually do for your vlogs?" you ask in return, your phone sinking into your lap. "A lot of screaming and running around?"
A wry smile crosses I.N's face. "Changbin does that anyway. Hyunjin just happened to be holding the camera when he grabbed me." He pauses, and then adds, "Isn't this how every practice goes too?"
You shrug. "There's usually less chasing. Maybe it's just because the practice rooms are smaller."
"And they can lock the zoo animals in with us." You snort a laugh and lift your phone again, your restless scroll continuing. Several seconds of silence stretch between you before I.N comes up with another question. "What are you doing in here alone?"
"Nothing," you sigh, and the phone drops away from your field of vision again, replaced with the sight of the other side of the room. White walls, folding tables covered in mess, abandoned chairs. Boring. Thoughtless. "Trying to find something to do that isn't thinking about tomorrow. I don't know, nothing important."
"You could always poke Changbin into tackling you," I.N suggests lightly. "Usually when that happens to me, I can't even remember what I was doing before."
You wince at the thought of it; so far, you've stayed away from the roughhousing that occasionally breaks out and you'd not intended to get involved in the future. Not as a victim, anyway. "I'm good, thanks," you reply wryly, making light of the curl of anxiety that rattles at your ribcage for no particular reason. "It was really loud up there earlier, so I came down here."
"I should have come with you," he sighs. "I didn't know we were being nervous in peace down here."
The way you look at him, head turning sharply and eyes narrowing as your thoughts race to catch up, makes him do a double take, confusion clouding his eyes. "You're nervous?" you ask; and sure, it's not so strange when you think about it and remember the jitter of nerves that crawls up and down your spine every time you go near that stage, but for him to feel like that too, a whole day before you go out there and do the job you came here to do? Surely, after three years, it got easier than that. Surely he couldn't be that nervous.
"Probably not as much as you are," he tells you, "but yeah. It's a big stage, and there's a new song-"
He stops like he is going to say more and then drops it, the end of his sentence hanging unfinished in the air. "I thought you'd be more...used to it, by now," you say, a hand waving in the air vaguely like that will help to explain your case. "Not that you wouldn't be nervous at all, but..."
"I think the others are," I.N says, leaning back into the cushions of the couch with a shrug that slumps his shoulders downward. His hands fiddle idly with his phone in his lap, snapping the case on and off as he thinks. "I feel like I'm still learning though, like you. That's why Lee Know teaches me a lot."
You're aware that you're staring at him like he's crazy, but he takes it in stride, not even flinching under your scrutiny. "If you're this good and still learning, I've got no hope," you tell him, and then you slump back too, one leg sliding up under you so that you can lean on your shoulder.
He openly scoffs at you. "You're just as good as me. And you came in here and just started...fitting in and working."
"That's a lie," you insist, but the absurdity of it all makes a breathy laugh bubble up from inside your chest, easing the tension that keeps building there. "I don't think I fitted in at all when I started. Sometimes I still can't believe that I'm actually going to make it to debut; or that I even belong here."
I.N's lips twist, his eyes softening. "Sometimes I don't either," he admits.
You laugh again, this noise far more undignified than the last one. "Wild thing to say when you've been in a successful group for three years."
The look he gives you is cutting, his eyebrows raised high. "Yeah?" he questions. "And you saying you're not going to debut is any different?"
"I haven't debuted yet, global idol," you point out.
"Because tomorrow is so far away," he says with a roll of his eyes.
"Technically, I don't debut until an official comeback," you argue.
"You think you're just going to leave after performing with us tomorrow?" he scoffs. "Be more serious. It's embarrassing for you."
"I am being serious!"
"You're being ridiculous."
"I'm calling Changbin to come and get you."
"Not if I leave first."
You stare at each other for several seconds, your phone raised in the air between you like a threat. I.N is the first to break, lips pinching together tight in an effort to swallow the smile that eventually breaks them, the giggle that bubbles up at how stupid an argument this is. "Don't call Changbin," he says, breaking about as fast as you'd expected him to. "I'll break your phone."
"Who are you, Seungmin?" you question; your phone moves out of his reach anyway, just in case. "You spend too much time together."
"Only since you came," I.N throws out carelessly. "He won't leave me alone." The way he says it is innocuous, like he truly doesn't mean anything by the words, and you believe it; but still, it sticks in your mind.
"No one leaves you alone," you point out, carefully stepping around the implication that Seungmin likes hanging out with you. Or taking care of you. Or something. "You're too cute to ignore."
The face I.N pulls is disgusted, the mirror image of the expression he gives the other boys when they start paying him too much attention. "Maybe you spend too much time with Changbin," he suggests.
The dryness of his tone is funny enough to make you laugh, the noise bursting unbidden from your mouth. "I'm just stating a fact," you assure him. "You're cursed with that face. There's nothing you can do about it now."

"Have you ever toured in Australia?" you ask some time after Chan has taken over the laptop again, your career as Stray Kids' producer as short lived as it was spontaneous. You're sitting now in one of the armchairs from across the room, dragged over next to the table in the pretense of having any kind of input in whatever he is doing as he fiddles endlessly with the details of Han's song.
"We went last year," Chan says, glancing up at you. "Why?"
You shrug carelessly, leaning back in your chair. "Just wondering. I haven't been back in a while. It'd be nice to go one day."
He pauses a moment longer, his hands on the keyboard. "How long is 'a while'?"
You realise you might have made a mistake when your lips press together around the answer, reluctant to give it. "Since I came to Korea?" you spit out eventually, when the tension in the air reaches the breaking point between too late to answer and not saying anything at all.
The look he gives you says everything he needs to, though his mouth opens to back it up anyway. "You haven't been home in - six years?"
"Sixish," you confirm. "Something like that."
"Why?" he presses. "You've never had a holiday?"
"I've never had time," you say defensively. "Every time my holidays came up, I was working on evaluations or something, so I just never got there."
He shakes his head, returning to his work. "We'll tour in Australia," he says, like it's a promise that is his to keep, not some employee of the company whose name you don't know. "And you'll get a holiday before that."
"Why do I feel like you're going to force me to take a holiday?" you ask, drawing your legs up underneath you.
The look that he shoots at you between edits on his computer screen is withering enough to belong on Minho's face - and without words attached, his gaze saying what it wants all by itself. "Did you take every holiday you had as a trainee?" you ask.
"Most of them," he answers primly. "And I went home a couple of times too. Like a normal trainee."
"Don't call me weird," you say, but there's no heat behind your voice - only the weakness, maybe, when the realisation of how much time and distance has stretched between you and a place you keep calling home, brushes up against your mind. You hold it at arm's length rather than embracing it, unwilling to sit here and cry about it on a night like this.
"You're not weird," he answers. "Just unsocialised."
"Unsocialised?"
The incredulous look you give him is met with a laugh, the sound of it high and infectious as it invades the room. "No one ever taught you how to do anything except work," he explains.
"Hey," you say, as if you're offended. "I'm fun. I know how to have fun."
"How to have fun at work," he insists.
"Are we not having fun right now?" you question.
"And what are we doing right now?" he fires back, pointing at his laptop.
It takes you several seconds to realise the corner he's backed you into, your eyes tracking from the laptop to him several times. "Working," you sigh in defeat and wrap your arms around your knee, drawing it up towards your chest like a shield as you sag into the back of your seat.
"It's okay," Chan says smugly. "At least you are fun to hang out with. Some people don't even have that going for them."
"I'm so fun," you insist, knowingly doubling down to avoid having to accept the compliment. "Companies can't resist me. Teachers never want me to debut and leave their classes. I'm the most fun person in the world."
"Everything you just said was about work," he points out with a wolfish grin.
You sigh again, loud enough that he can't miss it. "Maybe it's all I think about," you allow. "Maybe after this and comeback, I could make time for something else."
"After comeback?" he echoes. "That's another month away."
"And yet, it haunts me."
A smile pulls at his lips, but he doesn't reply, distracted by whatever he's fixing on his laptop. You wait as he listens to the song, running one part over and over again and fiddling with a fine detail you can't see or hear, even if you were the one looking at it.
His voice catches you by surprise when he speaks a minute or so later, your ears just grown used to the comfortable silence that had fallen over the room. "I never asked why they took you out of Midnight."
"Oh." You sit back, rubbing at your tired eyes. "I didn't 'fit the image they had for the group'. Not pretty enough."
"I'm sure that wasn't exactly what they meant," Chan says slowly.
An acerbic smile twists at your mouth. "Maybe," you allow. "I don't know. It's the obvious answer - have you seen Midnight? They're all insanely beautiful, and I'm just - okay, I guess."
You have a feeling, as you watch Chan's brow furrow and his eyes narrow in thought, that you might have revealed your thoughts to the wrong boy first. Maybe you should have told Minho instead, or Seungmin or Jeongin, friends that would tell you you're wrong at an arm's length. Chan is a fixer, on top of everything else that he does, and that look in his eyes is only an indication that he's finally narrowed in on his next project.
"Well, you're a better visual than all of us in SKZ," he says, the firm tone of his voice only confirming your suspicions. "And I don't mind if we never look as good as Midnight."
"Lying is such a bad habit, Bang Chan," you say lightly, trying to lift the suffocating, sombre blanket of air that has fallen over the room. "I look at you guys every day. I know how pretty you are."
"You lied first," he scoffs. "Saying you're ugly. You can't just go around spreading rumours like that."
"I didn't say ugly," you argue. "I just said I don't stand a chance next to those other girls."
"Liar," he insists, and struggles to swallow a grin.
"I'm not!" You sit up straight in your chair, the energy that suddenly rushes to your voice unexpected. You realise only a moment later that you've spoken too loud for a hotel room in the middle of the night and swallow down the way that your heart picks up pace and a smile fights for control of your face, lowering your volume before you continue. "I'm telling you, the bar is so high. I waited four years for that debut, and some of those girls just walked in and got a place. Not that they didn't deserve it, but like..."
"Lee Know did that," Chan points out. "Debuted in six months."
"Do you know Ellie?" you ask; and to your surprise, he nods. "I think she was here for weeks before they added her to the predebut lineup. I feel like I don't even really know her, she's been here for so short a time. And she knows idols from all kinds of groups already - the more I think about it, the more I'm like...how did I even think I had a chance? Maybe I should have just known I wouldn't debut."
"Maybe you were just always meant to be here with us," Chan offers before you can spiral any further down that particular rabbit hole - pulling you out into the light, shovel and all, like it is nothing to him. "Lee Know nearly got taken out of the group too, you know. Maybe the people making these decisions just don't know what they're doing."
Your eyebrows raise in surprise. "Really?" you ask, distracted by this new piece of information. "I need to watch your survival show. I've missed so many key points."
"No," he groans again, burying his head in his hands. "We're not watching that. Forget anyone ever mentioned it."
"All of you need to get your story straight," you tell him. "Seungmin says I need to watch every piece of content ever filmed, you tell me not to watch any of it; how am I supposed to know what to do?"
"You should know not to listen to Seungmin by now," Chan says.
"I think we should watch it," you counter just as quickly. "I think it's a great idea."
"No," he insists. "It's four AM. Go to bed. Don't watch bad TV shows."
"You just told me I need a new hobby."
"Get a normal hobby."
"Watching reality TV is a normal hobby."
"Don't watch the show."
You swallow a smile, struggling to keep a straight face as you stand and stretch, your feet wandering one step at a time towards the door. "I'm going to watch the show," you tell him, deadpan. "I'll tell you all about it in the morning."
"No," he complains again, like if he says it enough he'll be able to stop you. He makes no effort to do anything else though; just sits there and looks pathetic, weighing up whether whining is worth it or not. "Go to sleep."
"Are you going to sleep?" you ask pointedly, taking in the sight of him sitting there at the table, his work still open on his laptop.
The moment that he notices, he closes the laptop, dragging himself out of his own chair. "Yes," he claims, too bold for someone who is always up at this hour. "You know what I'm not doing?"
"What?"
"Watching that show in the middle of the night."
The way he says it makes you crack, a laugh huffing from your throat just before you choke on it and the effort of holding it down. It makes him laugh too, the sound escaping all too easily from his mouth. "Goodnight," you say before he can celebrate his victory, backing towards the door.
"Goodnight," he echoes, his smile softening his voice and lighting up his face in a familiar, joyous way. Your feet don't hesitate at the sound of it, but your heart does, your chest aching for something you don't think you've ever had, but maybe you have found - your spine crawling at the thought of it being over, even though you will wake up in the morning and he will still be here, and all the others will be around you too, and-
And you will debut, on that stage, in front of the thousands of people that love them even more than you do.
You try to leave the thought behind you as you close the door, back there with Chan, who will have the sense to throw it in the trash where it belongs, but it sticks to you, echoing in the hallway as you take the short walk back to your own quiet room, slinking around incessantly in the shadows when you turn off the lights and slide underneath the covers of your bed, resolving to at least lie here until the alarm goes off in the morning.
Tomorrow, you will debut.
Tomorrow, you will debut.

hi!
may you do a fluffy seungmin x black reader? maybe the reader experiences hate from seungmin's fans and seungmin shows her that he loves her regardless of what's being said?
it's all up to you ofc! ok bye ~ <3
Let Me Help You
//fem!black reader x idol!Seungmin//
Synopsis: After experiencing excruciating hate from his fans, you try to leave your boyfriend
Genre; angst, eventual fluff
Warnings: racism is a heavy theme in this story, reader is described as fem
A/N; Thank you so much for the request ❤️❤️ As you can see, the story is a bit lengthy since this topic is something I’m passionate about. There aren’t any explicit instances of racism present (such as the use of slurs) but it is heavily implied.
~~~~|~~~~
“Y/N?” You hear from behind you, making you jump slightly. You immediately looked back to see your loving boyfriend staring at you with pure disbelief in his eyes.
The look on his face alone makes you want to run into his arms and kiss all his pain away. The pain and confusion you caused.
You were in the bedroom you two once shared, gathering the last of your things and returning a necklace Seungmin had given you. Since he was so busy at work, it was easy to dodge him and move out of the apartment without any problems.
Your original plan was to leave the apartment without a trace. Block him, and all his family and friends, never looking back.
However, you know he deserved more than that. You two’s relationship was perfect.
Well, near perfect.
You and Seungmin were beyond compatible. You loved the same shows, food, and artists, and it helps that you were familiar with the music industry so you two connected on another level.
The company was aware of the crush you two had on one another in the beginning, so they asked Seungmin ahead of time to try his best to hide the impending relationship.
He truly did do his best to hide you, not that he wanted to. He would have preferred to show you off to the world, and let everyone know he was in a relationship with the most beautiful, caring, talented, and loving woman in the world.
However, both of you knew that he needed to seem “available” as an idol. The fans needed to believe they had a chance with him, and them finding out about you wouldn’t be good for anyone.
It was a bit more tricky as well, considering the obvious difference between you two. Neither you nor Seungmin had a racial preference when it came to dating, so you being Black and him being Asian was rarely a situation you two cared about.
To be honest, who cares about the difference in race? It was never a big deal, all his family and friends absolutely loved you, and the company even took a liking to you.
The moral of the story is, it never mattered that you two were in an interracial relationship…until it did.
Being Black in Korea was an…interesting experience. The majority of your age group and younger exhibited great openness and compassion towards everyone. But there were still some ignorant people, and those people made sure to show themselves to you.
One day, an older man caught you and Seungmin leaving a restaurant late at night. He cursed at you, insulting you and calling you names you’d never repeat.
Seungmin defended you, but the man’s outburst caught the attention of a group of teenagers who recorded the interaction.
They posted it, and it went viral quickly. Sharp-eyed fans immediately recognized the masked man’s voice and eyes. They knew it was Seungmin, then everyone knew he had a partner.
Many people supported you and your man, even other celebrities came out in support, but a large number of nonblack fans came out and started to give you hell.
They sent trucks to the company, demanding the idol break up with you. They trended tags on Twitter, they spammed Bubble with pleas for you two to break up.
Seungmin and the company both put out a statement, but the hate continued to get worse.
His members began to speak in defense of you, and you noticed paparazzi stalking outside your job.
The death threats didn't take long to start, and then the shameless TikTok videos claiming you’re only “ruining his career” and “destroying his purity” came in dozens.
Again, there was still an outpour of support, but the blatant racism you were shown was so too much to handle.
Being Black, you unfortunately experienced at least a little bit of ignorance, prejudice, or racism wherever you went. You were beyond proud of your race though, making sure everyone could feel the confidence and pride exuding off you wherever you went.
You were never ashamed of your race, you would never allow someone to make you feel bad about who you were. To you, you were beyond blessed to have such beautiful brown skin, but it did hurt to know that people hated your guts just because of your skin color.
The fans were ruthless, and you tried to stay away from the hate, but your curiosity got the best of you.
Long story short, you spent 3 hours reading about how Seungmin could do better and how his reputation is being ruined. By the 4th hour, you had started packing your stuff.
You loved Seungmin more than anything, but you started to feel like you were ruining his career. He was almost put on hiatus when the news broke, and he was so miserable. You watched as he cried on the phone with the higher-ups, and you couldn’t stand the fact that it was all your fault.
You managed to pack the majority of your things in a few hours, mostly because you didn’t have much to begin with. Running off of pure adrenaline and sadness, you left for a hotel and ignored the eventual calls that came later in the night.
You stayed away for three days and planned to come back to the apartment to get the rest of your stuff while Seungmin was supposed to be recording a music video.
Unfortunately, he played sick and was able to leave the shoot early. Something in his gut told him you’d be back at the apartment, and he was right.
“I’m sorry,” You said, staring down at the floor
“Can we talk?”
“I just came to get the rest of my things”
He sighed, “Please baby, this can’t be the end of us”
“I’m not good for you”
“Don’t you ever say something so stupid again”
Against your better judgment, you looked up at him. He was so hurt, but still managed to put a little smile on his face.
Your knees felt weak
“Why’d you leave?” He questioned
“You know why”
“Maybe” He nods, “But I wanna hear you say it”
A few seconds of silence made the atmosphere more tense than it already was.
“I’m ruining your career” You whisper
“No, you’re not”
“I am, and I don’t want your dream to be ruined all because your fans don’t like me-”
“Y/n” He interrupted, “Fuck my dream. Do you think I’ll put a career over you? I’ll leave all of this bullshit behind if it means you’ll come back home”
“I don’t want you to give up on your career!”
“And I don’t wanna lose you, so what now?” He crossed his arms, and you hate that you found him so sexy at that moment
“Please just let me leave. This has gotten so out of control”
“Baby I understand that this is overwhelming. I promise you I do, but I swear I’m doing everything in my power to ensure all those people who've been harassing you will face consequences. I promise you I’m gonna fix it”
“You can’t get all of them”
“But I can try” He shrugs
He walked over to you, silently asking to touch you. Again, against your better judgment, you look into his eyes and allow him to hug you.
“Please don’t let ignorant pieces of shit destroy our relationship. I know the hate is getting to you, but let me help you through it, let me at least try to”
You knew you were going to say yes. Both guilt and unmeasurable love filled your chest and he rocked you side to side.
“I’ll put out another statement, and I’ll go live. I’ll make sure those motherfuckers know that I’ll do anything to protect you.”
He lets you go a little to pull back and look at you, “Plus, there are still millions of people who support us.”
“I know,” You say
“So let's focus on positivity? Or maybe we can delete social media for a while? I’ll delete mine too. If you don’t wanna come home for a bit, I’ll have the company set you up with an apartment. We’ll also look for a therapist, okay?”
You nod, and mutter a small “Okay baby”
You two hug for a while, knowing you guys won’t ever let some stupid people keep you away from each other again.
The first puzzle appeared on the screen, and you, Chan, and Seungmin leaned in closer, each trying to get a better look.
"Cross out six letters and you'll find a word that we should know, This must be done in order." Chan read aloud.
You furrowed your brow, your gaze fixed on the tangled mess of letters displayed before you. With a thoughtful expression, you began to mull over the puzzle's challenge. "Let's see... if we remove six letters, what word could it form?"
"Nothing? There's no combination of words just by taking out six," Chan remarked, a hint of frustration creeping into his tone.
Seungmin nodded, his gaze still on the screen. "They wouldn't have specified 'SIX' spelled out like that. If they meant the number, they would've just written the number 6. Right?"
You pondered the arrangement of letters. "What if the instruction 'six letters' is a hint itself?" you proposed.
Seungmin's eyes lit up in recognition, his expression mirroring yours. "That's it! If we take out the letters 's', 'i', 'x', 'l', 'e', 't', 't', 'e', 'r', 's', we're left with........'important'," he exclaimed, a triumphant smile spreading across his face.
Excitedly, you double-checked his deductions, your eyes scanning the letters on the screen once more. When you found that Seungmin was indeed correct, you wasted no time in entering "important" into the text box. With a satisfying flash of green, the puzzle was solved.
"Great catch, Minnie," you praised.
The next puzzle appeared on the screen. it seemed to be a series of numbers: 0,3,4,5,8.
You furrowed your brow, trying to make sense of the sequence, but before you could even start, Chan spoke up confidently, "This one's easy. It's a simple code."
You looked at him, intrigued. Chan's mind raced as he analyzed the clues. "4 is on 5's right, but not directly next to it, so that means 4 can't be the last digit, and 5 can't be the first."
Seungmin and you nodded, following his train of thought.
"Also, 0 and 5 keep a maximum distance," Chan continued, his eyes scanning the screen. "So, they're likely at the ends of the code."
"The 3 is between the two numbers that usually follow it, which means its in between 4 and 5." you added, trying to piece together the sequence. Chan's brows furrowed in concentration. "And the two digits on the right add up to the same number as the two digits on the left."
With practiced precision, Chan arranged the digits according to the given criteria. "The code is 53480," he declared confidently.
With a few taps on the keyboard, Chan quickly deciphered the code. "53480 translates to 'clues'," he announced, a satisfied grin spreading across his face.
You blinked in surprise, impressed by Chan's quick thinking. "That was amazing! How did you figure it out so fast?"
Chan shrugged modestly. "Just a knack for puzzles, I guess.... Let's enter 'clues' and see what happens."
Following Chan's lead, you entered "clues" into the text box, and sure enough, the screen flashed green, indicating that you had successfully cracked the code.
"Nice job, Chan!" Seungmin exclaimed, patting him on the back.
Chan's chest puffed out slightly, a hint of pride evident in his demeanor. He shot you a sideways glance, a playful twinkle in his eye. Unable to resist, you leaned in and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. Chan's cheeks flushed bright red, a mixture of surprise and delight spreading across his face.
The next puzzle appeared on the screen.
It wasn't a series of numbers or a cryptic code, but rather a poetic verse. You furrowed your brow, trying to make sense of the words.
"It seems like some sort of riddle or poem," you mused aloud.
Chan and Seungmin leaned in closer, reading the verse carefully. "But what does it mean?" Seungmin wondered.
"It feels like there's a hidden message here," Chan observed, his eyes scanning the lines intently.
You nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of frustration at the puzzle's ambiguity. "Let's break it down. Maybe there's a clue hidden within it."
Together, you dissected the verse, searching for patterns or hidden meanings. But despite your efforts, the true significance of the poem remained a mystery.
"We're missing something," you sighed, feeling a twinge of disappointment. With each passing moment, the answer seemed to slip further from your grasp.
"Wait a minute..." You glanced back at the screen, your eyes scanning the verse once more.
And then, it clicked.
"It's an acrostic," you exclaimed, excitement bubbling up inside you. "The first letter of each line spells out a word!"
Chan and Seungmin looked at you, puzzled at first, but then their eyes widened in understanding.
"H-I-D-E-S," Seungmin spelled out, realization dawning on his face.
"Exactly," you confirmed. "The answer is 'hides.'"
With a sense of accomplishment, you entered "hides" into the text box, and the screen flashed green, confirming your correct solution.
As the final puzzle materialized on the screen, the room fell into a hushed silence. The string of seemingly random letters stared back at you, taunting in its indecipherability.
"Looks.... like we have another code to crack," Chan remarked, his eyes narrowing in concentration.
You nodded, your mind already racing to decipher the hidden message within the jumble of letters.
"Bnmfqzstzshnmr..." you murmured, your lips moving silently as you attempted to decode the message. You paused, then couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, that's certainly a word… in some alien language, perhaps."
But despite your best efforts, the letters seemed to resist your attempts to unlock their meaning, the message remaining stubbornly cryptic.
"This is harder than I thought," Chan admitted, frustration creeping into his voice.
You nodded in agreement, feeling a pang of disappointment. "Let's take a step back and look at it again. There must be a clue we're missing."
Seungmin sighed loudly and then quipped, "You know, if we had a Scrabble board handy, I bet we could score some serious points with this."
For what felt like an eternity, you and your friends wrestled with the puzzle, trying different approaches and strategies to crack its code. But each attempt seemed to lead to dead ends, leaving you no closer to unraveling its mystery.
Chan leaned in closer, his expression thoughtful. "There has to be a way to form words from this," he mused, his mind already working on potential combinations.
Seungmin chimed in, "Yeah but we shuffled the letters around and tried different combinations, and nothing makes sense."
But Chan shook his head, a spark of insight in his eyes. "What if we're approaching this the wrong way? Maybe we're not supposed to rearrange the letters, but instead, they mean something else altogether."
His suggestion gave you pause, prompting you to reconsider your approach to the puzzle. As you sat hunched over the puzzle, your fingers absentmindedly traced the delicate patterns of the bracelet wrapped around your wrist.
The bracelet adorning your wrist was an intricate design a mesmerizing tapestry of silver and sapphire. Delicate silver links intertwined with precision, forming a lattice-like pattern that shimmered in the soft glow of ambient light. At the center of each link nestled a small sapphire, its deep blue hue reminiscent of the ocean at twilight.
As the minutes ticked by, the tension in the room grew.
"Wait a minute," you exclaimed, a memory sparking in your head.
"Fetch!"
"I know I'm a puppy but I don't really feel like running right now." seungmin whined taking a sip of water from a glass.
"No. Not you Seungmin.... Fetch." you said again.
Chan looked at you quizzically. "All these letters translate to the word 'fetch'?"
"No. No. Fetch. The show," you replied.
"The kids show?"
"Yes."
Chan and Seungmin looked at you, their eyebrows raised in disbelief at the unexpected reference. It was as if you had suddenly suggested decoding the message using a recipe for chocolate cake.
"What?" Seungmin said incredulously. "How does a kids' show have anything to do with cracking codes?"
" Well there was this spy episode where they talked about how spies would communicate with each other."
Chan and Seungmin looked at you, intrigued by the sudden recollection.
"They would encode their messages using a specific key or pattern, so that only other spies code read it. Both sides would have the key to the code," you continued, the pieces slowly falling into place in your mind.
It was as if a light bulb had gone off in their heads, illuminating a path forward in the puzzle.
"A cipher" Seungmin said.
As the wheels of your mind spun in search of a solution, Seungmin's eyes widened. "Wait a moment," he said, reaching for his phone. With a few swift taps, he brought up an image of a cipher wheel on the screen.
"Look at this," he exclaimed, displaying the intricate design of the wheel to the group. "If we shift each letter by one place according to the wheel, it might reveal the true message."
Hope ignited within you as you examined the image, the simplicity of the concept striking you as a potential breakthrough. "That's perfect," you said. "Let's give it a try."
With Seungmin's phone serving as a guide, you and your friends set to work, shifting each letter forward in the alphabet. As you made the adjustments, the seemingly random string of letters began to take on new meaning.
With the screen now displaying the deciphered message, excitement filled the room as you all read the words:
"Congratulations! If you can read this, you have figured out that it is a cipher! Aren't you smart. The word is Member.'"
A collective sigh of relief and accomplishment swept through the group.
Chan eagerly stepped forward, confidently entering the password "Member" into the screen.
With bated breath, you awaited the response. And to your joy, the screen flashed green, confirming the correctness of your input. Excitement filled the room as you all realized that you had successfully cracked the code.
"We did it!" Chan exclaimed, a broad smile stretching across his face.
Seungmin chuckled, shaking his head in amazement. "I can't believe we actually cracked it."
But then, a new prompt appeared on the screen: "To find the Password, take all the words and put them in the correct order."
You exchanged puzzled glances with your friends. Taking a moment to gather your thoughts, you recalled each puzzle and the words associated with them: "important," "clues," "hides," and "Member."
With a mix of anticipation and caution, you entered the final code:
"Member hides important clues."
Anticipation hung thick in the air as you awaited the screen's response. Then, with a satisfying beep, the screen flashed green, indicating success.
The screen flickered for a moment, and then a new page loaded, revealing a chilling image accompanied by an address.
The image sent a shiver down your spine, its eerie composition and unsettling ambiance heightening your sense of unease. It depicted a dimly lit room, and in the center, a lone figure stood, their face obscured by darkness.
As you and your friends exchanged uneasy glances, the words below the image caught your attention.
"Come find me."
Beneath the message was an address, standing out against the ominous backdrop of the website. It beckoned you, and sent a chill down your spine.
What awaited you at the address?
Who had sent the messages, and why?
With your heart pounding in your chest, you knew that the journey was far from over. The address was a new clue, a new mystery waiting to be unraveled. And with determination burning within you, you knew that you had no choice but to heed the call and confront whatever awaited you at the designated location.
As the weight of the situation settled in, a tense silence enveloped the room. The address on the screen seemed to pulsate with a silent urgency.
You quickly pulled out your phone, fingers trembling as you typed the address into the search engine. The results were chilling—nothing but a desolate warehouse located on the outskirts of town, its exterior shrouded in darkness.
"Are we… are we actually going to go to that address?" you finally voiced the question that echoed in the minds of all three of you.
Chan's expression darkened with concern. "Absolutely not. This is not safe," he asserted firmly, his voice laced with urgency.
But despite his warning, a sense of determination welled up within you. The need to confront the source of the messages, to uncover the truth that had eluded you for so long, burned within your chest.
"I have to go," you declared, your voice resolute as you met Chan's gaze head-on. "I need to know who's behind this, and why they've been sending these messages."
Seungmin nodded in understanding, his expression mirroring your resolve. "You can't go alone," he stated firmly, his eyes meeting yours. "If your going, I'll go with you."
Chan's features hardened, his concern palpable. "No, absolutely not," he repeated, his voice stern. "I won't let you put yourselves in danger."
As Chan's insistence rang through the room, you felt a surge of frustration mingling with your determination. His concern was understandable, but you couldn't shake the feeling that you were on the brink of uncovering something significant.
"Chan, I appreciate your concern, I really do," you began, your voice steady but with urgency. "But we can't just ignore this. We need to follow this lead, find out what's going on."
Chan's jaw tightened, his gaze unwavering. "I understand that you want answers, but this is too risky. We don't know what we're walking into," he argued.
"But we won't find out unless we go," Seungmin interjected. "And Y/N's right. We can't just sit back and let this mystery go unsolved."
The tension in the room escalated as Chan's frustration became palpable. His brows furrowed, and his jaw clenched as he struggled to contain his rising anger.
"Seungmin, this is not up for debate," Chan snapped, his tone sharp with frustration. "I said no, and no means no."
But you couldn't let his resolve deter you from your mission. The need to unravel the mystery gnawed at you, driving you forward despite the risks.
"Chan, please," you pleaded, your voice soft but insistent. "I understand your concerns, but we can't turn back now. We have to see this through."
Seungmin nodded in agreement, his expression unwavering. "We'll be careful, Chan. But we have to do this."
"We're not doing this," Chan declared firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument. "You'd put yourselves in danger."
"But Chan, I'm already in danger," you countered. "Ignoring this won't make it go away."
For a moment, Chan's gaze softened, his features betraying a flicker of uncertainty. But then, with a heavy sigh, he shook his head, his resolve hardening once more.
"I can't let you do this," he stated firmly, his voice tinged with resignation. "I won't."
With a heavy sigh, Chan's frustration reached its peak. Without a word, he strode over to the computer, his movements tense and purposeful. With a swift motion, he slammed the laptop shut, cutting off the ominous glow of the screen.
With frustration boiling within you, you couldn't contain the anger that surged to the surface.
"Chan, you don't get it!" you exclaimed, your voice laced with agitation. "I'm tired of sitting back and waiting for things to happen. I need answers, and I'm not going to just let this slide."
But Chan remained unmoved, his expression stubborn and unyielding. "I understand that you're scared," he responded, his voice strained with frustration. "But rushing into this blindly is not the answer!"
"I've had enough of waiting and planning," you declared, your voice trembling with righteous anger. "I'm done playing it safe while someone out there is toying with me." His words only fueled your anger, igniting a fire within you that refused to be extinguished.
"I'm not asking for your permission," you continued sharply. "I'm going, with or without your support."
With resolve burning fiercely within you, you stormed away from Chan, determined to take matters into your own hands.
As you made your way to your room, frustration and determination mingled within you, fighting for dominance. With trembling fingers, you pulled out your phone and hastily composed a message to your bodyguard. Anger simmered beneath the surface, threatening to spill over as you fought back tears of frustration.
You told him to meet you at the house ASAP.
You hit send before second-guessing yourself, the urgency of the situation propelling you forward. As you waited for his response, the minutes stretched into an agonizing eternity, each passing second amplifying the tension that hung heavy in the air.
Finally, a notification chimed on your phone, and you breathed a sigh of relief as you read his response. "On my way," it read, accompanied by a reassuring emoji.
You hastily gathered the essentials: a flashlight, water, an extra phone battery pack, and anything else you thought might come in handy.
You hesitated, torn between your determination to move forward and the lingering sense of guilt at leaving Chan behind. But as he entered the room, you knew that you couldn't leave without at least attempting to persuade him to join you.
"Chan, I'm going whether you come with me or not," you stated firmly, your voice steady. "But I'd feel better knowing you're by my side."
Chan's gaze softened, his features etched with worry. "Y/N, this is dangerous," he protested, his voice pleading. "I can't let you go alone."
You took a step forward, closing the distance between you, and placed a hand on his arm. "Then don't," you urged, your voice gentle yet determined. "Come with me."
As Chan's hesitation lingered, his eyes searched yours for reassurance amidst the tense atmosphere of the room. You held your breath, the weight of the moment hanging heavy in the air, hoping fervently that he would agree to accompany you.
Finally, with a resigned sigh, Chan nodded, his decision apparent in the reluctant tilt of his head. "Alright," he conceded, his voice carrying the weight of his reluctance. "But on one condition."
Your heart skipped a beat, anticipation coiling within you as you waited for him to speak.
"You stay by my side at all times. If I can't touch you, you're too far," Chan insisted. His hand reached out, gently grasping yours. "If things get too dangerous, we turn back. I'm not leaving there without you in one piece. You hear me?"
You nod, unable to form any words.
"Y/n.. If anything happens to you..." His words faltered, the weight of his love filling the air. It was as if every syllable carried the weight of his fears, his heart laid bare before you.
His voice trembled as he fought to express the depth of his feelings. He paused, his gaze locking with yours, his eyes filled with an intensity that took your breath away. "I need you to understand, Y/N," he continued, "I love you more than anything in this world. I cant lose you.... Please."
With a solemn nod, you conveyed your understanding and acceptance of his words, your heart swelling with gratitude and love. "I love you too, Chan," you whispered, your voice barely above a breath but carrying the weight of your sincerity.
Without a word, he reached out, his hand gently cupping your cheek as he leaned in, pressing his lips against yours.
In that moment, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of his lips against yours.
Just then, the sound of footsteps approaching broke the spell, and you turned to see your bodyguard leaning in the doorway.
Adam's muscular frame was outlined by the soft glow of the hallway lights. He wore a fitted black suit, the fabric stretched taut over his powerful physique, thanks to years of training and discipline. Despite the seriousness of the situation, you saw reassurance in his eyes, a silent promise to protect you with every ounce of his strength.
Adam, spoke, his deep voice resonated with a calm authority.
"Sorry to interrupt. Everything okay?" he inquired, as he took in the scene before him.
You and Chan exchanged a brief glance.
"We're heading out," you replied, your voice steady. "There's something we need to investigate."
Adam nodded, his expression serious but unchanging. "I'll be right behind you," he stated firmly, his commitment to your safety evident in every word.
As you turned to leave, you noticed Seungmin waiting nervously nearby.
"Seungmin, are you sure you want to come with us?" you asked. He nodded firmly, his eyes meeting yours.
With a grateful smile, you nodded in acknowledgment of his loyalty.
As the group prepared and gathered by the doorway, you filled in Adam on the details of what had happened.
"We need to consider who else we can trust," Adam suggested, his voice full of concern.
"I know it can't be Jeongin. He was with me when we first encountered the stalker an-"
Just then, there was a knock at the door, interrupting your conversation. You exchanged wary glances with the boys, none of you expecting any visitors at this late hour.
Felix stood on the doorstep, his brow furrowed in confusion as he took in the four faces staring back at him. "Did I leave my Switch here...." he asked, his voice trailing off. The dim light from the hallway cast shadows across his features, accentuating the lines of concern etched into his expression.
Felix's confusion deepened as he surveyed the group, dressed in dark clothing. His eyes darted from one person to another, searching for an explanation to the unexpected sight before him.
"Where are you all going?" he asked, his voice tinged with surprise and apprehension. His gaze lingered, silently pleading for an answer. You exchanged a quick glance with Chan and Seungmin, unsure of how much to reveal to Felix.
But before you could respond, Felix spoke, his expression turned serious. "Look, I don't know what's going on, but it's clear that something's not right," he stated, his voice firm but compassionate. "And whatever it is, I want to help."
His words caught you off guard. You knew that bringing Felix along would add an extra layer of risk to your already risky mission.
"It's okay, Felix. We'll be back soon," you say, trying to navigate past him, but he remains unmoved, his gaze fixed on the group with determination.
"Uh, it's not really a trip to the store, Felix," you began again cautiously, trying to find the right words without revealing too much.
Felix's brow furrowed in confusion, his expression betraying his growing curiosity. "Then where are you guys going?" he pressed. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, an impatient energy radiating from him.
Chan hesitated, clearly grappling with how much to disclose. "It's... it's a bit complicated," he replied vaguely, his words failing to mask the unease in his voice.
But Felix wasn't about to let it go. "Complicated how?" he persisted, taking a step closer to the group, his curiosity piqued.
You realized that avoiding Felix's questions would only make things more suspicious.
"Felix, it's not something we can really explain right now," you finally admitted reluctantly. "But trust us, it's not something you want to get involved in."
But Felix remained resolute. "I don't care," he asserted firmly. " I'm going."
You exchanged a helpless glance with Chan and Seungmin, realizing that Felix was determined to accompany you, regardless of the risks involved. With a heavy sigh, you nodded in reluctant agreement.
"Fine, but stay close," you insisted. "And follow our lead."
Felix nodded eagerly, his expression filled with determination. "Got it," he replied, his voice brimming with conviction. "Let's go."
With Felix now added to the group, you all piled into the car. Felix sat in the backseat, his bright yellow shirt standing out like a light against the darkness of the night.
"You're too bright," you remarked, handing him a black hoodie from the backseat. "We don't want to draw unnecessary attention."
Felix nodded in understanding, slipping on the hoodie . As he zipped it up, his expression mirrored yours, a reflection of the seriousness of the task ahead.
With one last glance exchanged between you and your friends, the car pulled out of the driveway. The road stretched out before you, winding its way through the darkness like a path into the heart of the mystery that awaited you at the address you'd been given.
As the car came to a stop in front of the warehouse, a sense of apprehension settled over the group. The imposing structure loomed before you, its darkened windows and looming shadows creating an eerie atmosphere. The gravel crunched under the tires as the engine cut out, leaving an eerie silence in its wake.
Felix, ever the inquisitive one, couldn't seem to contain his curiosity. "So, what exactly are we doing here?" he asked, his voice filled with what sounded like excitement and fear.
The group, ignoring his question, stepped out of the car. The gravel crunched beneath their feet as they shut the doors with a bang.
Felix, sensing the gravity of the situation, followed suit, his curiosity still burning brightly despite the lack of response to his questions. With a determined stride, he joined the others, his gaze fixed on the structure before you. Unable to contain his curiosity, he piped up again, "Guys, seriously, what's going on? Why are we here?"
Chan shot him a withering look, his patience wearing thin. "Can you please just shut up for a minute?" he snapped, the tension of the situation beginning to take its toll.
Felix recoiled slightly, stung by the harshness of Chan's words.
"We need to figure out how to get in," you interjected, redirecting the conversation away from confrontation. "Let's focus on that for now."
After a moment of scanning the building, its weathered exterior hinted at years of neglect, with broken windows and faded paint, Seungmin spotted a side door slightly ajar. "Over there," he whispered, gesturing towards the entrance.
"Let's go," you said, your voice low but determined. Chan stayed close, his presence reassuring you in the darkness. You felt the weight of his hand on your back, a silent gesture of protection. The rusted hinges creaked softly as Adam opened the door, as if protesting the intrusion.
"Stay close," Chan murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. With cautious steps, you all slipped inside, the darkness of the warehouse enveloping you.
The interior was dimly lit, the faint glow of distant lights casting long shadows across the floor. You moved forward slowly, your senses on high alert as you navigated the labyrinth corridors of the abandoned building.
As you ventured further into the warehouse, the darkness seemed to press in around you, suffocating in its intensity. But just as the shadows threatened to overwhelm you, the lights flickered to life, illuminating the interior with a harsh fluorescent glow.
For a moment, you were blinded by the sudden brightness, blinking against the glare as your eyes adjusted to the light. And then, as the scene before you came into focus, a gasp escaped your lips, a sharp intake of breath that caught in your throat.
It was a chilling sight that greeted you, a scene straight out of a nightmare. The walls were adorned with photographs and drawings, a chaotic collage of images that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
There were photographs of you, hundreds of them, each one capturing a different moment in time. Some were innocent snapshots, while others were more sinister, taken from a distance or in secret. And interspersed among the photographs, were drawings, sketches that depicted you in various poses, some eerily lifelike, others distorted and grotesque.
But it wasn't just the images that sent a chill down your spine.
Scattered around were pieces of clothing, personal belongings that had gone missing over the past few weeks.
And in the center of it all was a single photograph, larger than the rest, framed in a gaudy gold frame.
As you stood frozen in shock, your eyes fixated on the central photograph framed in gold, a shiver ran down your spine. It depicted a moment of triumph, frozen in time. You, standing on stage, holding the award for Artist of the Year.
You stumbled backwards, your legs threatening to give out beneath you as the full weight of the situation crashed down upon you. This was no ordinary warehouse. It was a shrine, a twisted homage to your darkest fears and deepest secrets, and you were standing right in the heart of it.
Chan's strong arms wrapped around you in a protective embrace, steadying you as you stumbled backward.
With trembling hands, the world spun dizzily around you as you struggled to make sense of the nightmare unfolding before your eyes. But deep down, you knew that there was no rational explanation for what you were seeing. This was the work of a madman, a predator lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.
 "What the hell is all this?" Felix exclaimed, his eyes darting around the room in bewilderment.
Seungmin's gaze flickered to the surroundings, taking in the eerie display with a mixture of dread and fascination. "It's like some kind of twisted shrine," he remarked. Felix's eyes widened in horror as he processed Seungmin's words, the gravity of the situation sinking in.
"Who would do something like this?" Adam murmured, his voice barely audible over the pounding of your heart.
You shook your head. "I don't know," you admitted, your voice trembling with fear and uncertainty.
As if drawn by an invisible force, the five of you stepped closer to examine the items scattered around the room. In the photographs and drawings, there were poloroid images of you with all the boys, your manager Zayne, and even your bodyguard Adam. Each picture was a secret snapshot, taken without your knowledge or consent.
Among the photographs and personal belongings, you noticed familiar items that didn't belong to you alone. Some were pieces of clothing worn by the boys, and others were personal effects that belonged to them.
"This is sick," Chan muttered, his eyes widening in horror as he took in the disturbing collection. "Wait.... these are Han's shoes," he exclaimed, pointing to a pair of sneakers tucked away in the corner. As he leaned closer, the intricate designs drawn on the shoes became clearer—Hyunjin's distinctive style evident in every stroke. "Hyunjin drew on them for him, remember?" he added, as he glanced at you for confirmation.
Seungmin's brows furrowed in concern as he surveyed the scene. "And those are Changbin's headphones," he noted, his voice barely above a whisper.
You felt a chill run down your spine as the realization sank in. Whoever had orchestrated this twisted shrine wasn't just fixated on you—they had been watching all of you, collecting pieces of your lives like trophies.
And then, as you continued to sift through the evidence, Felix's sharp intake of breath caught your attention. His eyes were fixed on a small camera lying among the other items, its sleek black exterior gleaming dully in the dim light.
With trembling hands, you picked up the camera, its weight heavy with the weight of its implications. The sleek black surface was marked with a small detail that made your heart sink:
HH initials engraved discreetly on the side.
Felix's eyes widened in recognition. "Wait... this is Hyunjin's camera," he exclaimed, his voice trembling with disbelief.
You froze, your heart skipping a beat as Felix's words sank in. Hyunjin had mentioned misplacing his camera not too long ago, but to find it here, in the heart of this twisted shrine, was beyond unsettling.
Seungmin's brows furrowed in concern as he reached out to inspect the camera. "But how did Hyunjin's camera end up here?" he questioned.
Felix shook his head, his expression a mix of confusion and alarm. "I don't know, but… look at it," he urged, pointing to the camera's worn exterior. "It's like it's been through a lot… and the photos…" He carefully picked up a photograph, holding it up to the dim light. The image, a faded Polaroid, matched the type that Hyunjin's camera would produce.
"T-They match." he stuttered.
Your stomach churned with dread as you noticed the telltale signs of wear and tear on the camera. It looked like it had been used extensively, as if it had been the one responsible for capturing the hundreds of photographs that adorned the walls of the shrine.
As you mulled over Felix's revelation, Chan's voice broke the heavy silence. " There's drawing's too," he added, his tone grim as he gestured towards a pile of sketches nearby.
You put the camera down and approached the pile of sketches, your heart pounding in your chest. As you sifted through them, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over you. The drawings were indeed different, varying in style and execution, almost as if they had been created by two different artists or personalities. Chan picked up one of the sketches, observing it silently.
"Who else can draw like this?" he pointed out after a while, his tone grave. The style was unmistakable—it bore a striking resemblance to Hyunjin's artwork, the same attention to detail and fluid lines that he had meticulously honed over the years.
A knot formed in your stomach as you considered the implications. Hyunjin, your friend and confidant, had always been a pillar of support and kindness. But could he be capable of something so sinister?
Seungmin's expression darkened as he processed the possibility. "It doesn't make sense," he murmured, his voice tinged with disbelief. "Hyunjin wouldn't... he couldn't..."
The realization hit you like a punch to the gut, leaving you feeling sick and unsteady on your feet. Hyunjin, your friend and confidant, had always been a pillar of support and kindness. The thought of him being capable of such a sinister act was almost too much to bear.
As the conversation unfolded, your eyes flicked nervously around the dimly lit surroundings. Suddenly, a movement caught your attention—a figure standing atop the railing, shrouded in darkness and clad in all-black attire, their face concealed by a mask.
Your heart leaped into your throat as you caught sight of the mysterious figure, their presence sending a jolt of fear coursing through your veins. Seungmin and Felix followed your gaze, their expressions turning to shock as they spotted the figure.
"Who… who's that?" Felix whispered, his voice barely above a horrified murmur.
Chan's grip tightened on your arm, his expression grim as he took in the sight before him. "I don't know," he admitted, his voice tense with apprehension. "But we need to get out of here, now."
Your breath caught in your throat as you locked eyes with the mysterious intruder. Yet, before you could react, Seungmin's darted towards the railing where the shadowy figure had been perched just moments before, his footsteps echoing off the cold, hard surfaces as he ascended the stairs.
"Seungmin, wait!" Chan called out, his voice ringing with urgency as he reached out towards his friend. "Get back here!"
The figure, sensing Seungmin's pursuit, sprang into action, leaping off the railing and onto the platform below. As they landed gracefully, they wasted no time in breaking into a swift sprint down another flight of stairs and out the door.
You were torn between the impulse to follow Seungmin and the instinct to stay rooted to the spot, paralyzed by the surreal turn of events. As Seungmin surged forward, his voice rang out in the night, sharp and commanding. "Stop! Come back here!" he shouted, his words echoing off the walls of the deserted alley. But the figure showed no signs of slowing down, their pace unyielding.
As the figure dashed away, Seungmin in hot pursuit and Chan torn between following him and ensuring your safety, Adam leaped into action. With a swift motion, he bolted after Seungmin, his muscular frame disappearing into the darkness outside.
With Adam gone, Chan's attention snapped back to you, his grip on your arm tightening even further. "We need to go," he said urgently, his voice strained with worry. "Now."
As the tension mounted and the urgency to leave intensified, Felix remained steadfast, his phone in hand, capturing every detail of the eerie scene with precision. With each click of the shutter, he immortalized the chilling evidence before you.
"Felix, let's go!" Chan called out, his voice edged with urgency as he urged everyone to leave the warehouse behind.
"We can't leave without this evidence," Felix insisted.
Chan's patience wore thin, and he shot Felix a stern glare, his expression conveying a sense of urgency that left no room for argument. Felix, momentarily taken aback by the intensity of Chan's stare, quickly backtracked.
"Okay, let's go," Felix conceded, his voice tinged with a hint of apprehension as he hastened to join the group. With Felix now at his side, Chan led you out of the warehouse through the same door you came from.
As you made your way to the car, the adrenaline coursed through your veins drowning out the sounds of your footsteps, your heart pounding in your ears.
Outside, the cool night air offered a welcome reprieve from the stifling atmosphere of the warehouse. You breathed deeply, trying to calm yourself as you leaned against the cold metal of the building's exterior.
But even as you tried to push aside the unsettling thoughts that gnawed at your mind, one thing was clear:
the nightmare was far from over.
And until you uncovered the truth behind the twisted shrine and the person responsible for it, you wouldn't rest easy.
In the dim light of the alleyway, you could only catch a faint glimpse of Seungmin in the distance, grappling with the shadowy figure. Your breath caught in your throat as you watched Seungmin's valiant attempt to apprehend the intruder. For a fleeting moment, it seemed as though he had gained the upper hand, his fingers closing around the figure's arm in a desperate bid to restrain them.
But then, in an instant, everything changed.
The figure, desperate to break free, lashed out with surprising strength, delivering a powerful kick that sent Seungmin staggering backwards. With a sickening thud, he collided with the side of the building, his head striking against the unforgiving surface.
A gasp escaped your lips as you watched in horror, the scene unfolding before you in slow motion. Panic surged through you as Seungmin crumpled to the ground, his body limp and motionless.
Seconds later Adam appeared, racing to Seungmin's side with lightning speed. With practiced precision, he assessed the situation, his hands moving swiftly to check for signs of injury.
"Seungmin!" Chan's voice pierced the silence, his tone laced with urgency as he sprinted towards them, his footsteps echoing in the alleyway. His command compelled the rest of you to follow suit, each step heavy with dread and apprehension.
With every passing moment, the weight of the situation bore down on you, the reality of the danger you faced becoming all too real. As you all reached Seungmin's side, Chan knelt beside him.
"Seungmin, can you hear me?" Adam's voice was urgent as he gently cradled Seungmin's head in his hands.
But there was no response, only the haunting silence of the night, broken only by the distant sound of footsteps echoing in the darkness. Adam carefully examined Seungmin.
"He's alive. He's.......He's breathing, but he's bleeding."
"We need to get him to a hospital," Chan declared, his voice steady despite the panic that you all were feeling.
With Adam's assistance, Chan carefully lifted Seungmin's limp form, supporting him as you all made your way back to the car. Each step feeling like an eternity.
You quickly formulated a course of action, mapping out the fastest route to the nearest hospital.
As the car sped through the darkened streets, the urgency of the situation hung heavy in the air. With each passing moment, Seungmin's condition seemed to weigh on you more heavily.
Together, you navigated the twists and turns of the city, your eyes fixed on your friend as you raced against time to save him. And as the lights of the hospital came into view, you felt a surge of hope, knowing that help was finally within reach.
As you rushed Seungmin into the emergency room, the hospital staff sprang into action, whisking him away for immediate treatment. Your heart pounded with fear and anxiety as you watched them disappear behind the swinging doors, leaving you feeling helpless and alone in the sterile corridor.
As you waited anxiously for news of Seungmin's condition, your phone buzzed with a new message. With trembling hands, you unlocked your phone to find a text from the Unknown number that had been haunting you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
POV: Written. 3rd Person.
— Word Count: 1.5K
Warnings: Mentions of suicide attempt and drugs. Mentions of kidnapping and murder.
Author’s Note: This chapter is very dialogue and thought heavy so I hope it’s not too confusing. Also, I’m sorry if there’s any grammar or spelling mistakes.
The last thing Jeongin wanted was for anyone to find out about his suicide attempt.
He had begged his friends— plus Jaemin and Renjun— to not tell anyone. They all understood they couldn’t. If rumors broke out and the university overheard any, Jeongin could be in serious trouble. Drug abuse wasn’t tolerated at JYP—or South Korea in general— even if it was an “accidental” overdose on prescription drugs. He’d probably be suspended or maybe even expelled, and thrown into rehab. That would cost him the scholarship he worked his ass off to get. And he wasn’t going to let that happen.
But even more so, he never wanted Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Felix and Seungmin to find out.
Ever.
He knew they would freak out. He knew they’d bombard him with a million questions. Because deep down he knew Jimin and Hanbin were right. He knew that his hyungs still cared about him, even if they did shut him out.
So Beomgyu fighting with Hyunjin in the middle of the courtyard, totally blew up everything. But, Jeongin couldn’t find it in himself to be mad at or blame Beomgyu. He knew how over protective his best friend could get. And to be completely honest, Jeongin was shocked he hadn’t lost his temper sooner. Especially since he and Hyunjin shared a few classes.
Jeongin let out a heavy sigh when he heard his phone buzz from the bathroom counter. He already knew it was one of them. All five of them had been texting him since last night. He didn’t have the strength to look at the messages. It was hard enough saying goodbye to Hyunjin. He knew that if he looked, he’d end up giving in.
And he didn’t want to go through another heartbreak again.
“I’m going to have to block them,” Jeongin grumbled, grabbing his phone and silencing it. I’ll do it later, he thought as he stepped out of the bathroom. He head down the hallway and turned into the living room.
The feeling of something— someone— watching suddenly washed over him.
That’s right. I have to try to talk to whatever’s here.
He was supposed to do it last night but, he was thrown off by his chat with Hyunjin. He had gone right to bed after that, crawling under the covers and simply lying there awake for hours. He honestly doesn’t know how long he stared blankly at his ceiling for until he managed to drift to sleep.
Jeongin took a deep breath, walking deeper into his living room.
“If someone's here,” he said, “can you give me a sign? Maybe a knock?”
A few moments passed and there was nothing.
Of course there was nothing, Jeongin reprimanded himself. He shook his head as he ungracefully plopped onto his couch. Because ghost don—
His thoughts immediately halted when he heard it. It was the faintest of knocks coming from the wall in front of him.
Jeongin blinked a few times.
Huh?
“Can you do it again?” he asked.
Not even a moment later, another knock landed against the wall, this one slightly louder.
Holy shit! Jeongin thought excitedly. This is working!
Wait. His face morphed into a shocked expression. This is fucking working?!
“Minho-hyung?” Jeongin asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Knock.
He felt his breath hitch at that.
Ask questions like Eris said, Jeongin. You need to figure out if it’s actually him.
“I want to ask a some questions,” he began after a moment. “So maybe one knock for no and two knocks for yes. Is that okay?”
Knock knock.
He blew out that breath and collected himself.
“Is this really Minho-hyung?” he asked.
Knock knock.
“Born October 25, 1998?”
Knock knock.
“Loves Japanese pudding?”
Knock knock.
Jeongin squinted. “Has two cats,” he said, “Doongie and Dori.”
A singular loud knock made Jeongin jump slightly. Then slowly, a grin started to make its way onto his face.
Yep. It’s definitely Minho-hyung. Only he would totally get pissed off at that. Even Felix-hyung got threatened with the air fryer once, when he got the number of cats wrong.
“Sorry hyung,” Jeongin said, “I was just making sure it was you.” He let out a little chuckle. “Three cats. Soonie, Doongie, and Dori.”
Knock knock.
Okay now that we’ve established it’s really him.
“Hyung,” Jeongin said, his voice taking on a serious edge now, “are you the one I hear pacing every night?”
Knock knock.
“And the humming? That was you too?”
Knock knock.
“So you’ve been here for about two weeks?”
Knock knock.
Why now? Jeongin wanted to asked. After a year of being gone, why now?
“I talked to a medium,” he said. “I told her that sometimes when I hear you pace, I hear chains. She said that you might have a spiritual debt. Do… do you have a spiritual debt?”
Knock knock.
So she was right.
“Did you commit some time of grave sin while you were living? Something we never knew?”
Knock.
“Is it a debt from a past life that have to pay off now or something?”
Knock.
Jeongin’s eyebrows furrowed together.
Then…
“Is it, like, a contract with something?” he asked.
Knock knock.
“Is it a human?”
Knock.
“Demon?”
Nothing.
“Minho-hyung, are you still there?” Jeongin asked after another moment of silence.
Immediately there were two quick knocks on the wall. Jeongin shifted in his seat on the couch.
Then, does he not know?
“Do you not know what it was?” he asked, tentatively.
Knock knock.
“Why?” Jeongin blurted. He shook his head. “I’m sorry, only yes or no questions.” He took a deep breath. “Is Jisung-hyung around?”
Knock.
Then maybe he found peace?
“So did he move on?”
Knock.
Jeongin’s eyes widened.
Okay okay. Maybe he’s a spirit on earth like Minho-hyung?
“Do you know where he is?” he asked.
Knock knock.
“Is he safe?”
Please let him be safe.
A heavy silence filled the room, causing Jeongin to start feeling antsy.
Did he leave?
“Min-“
Knock.
Jeongin felt his heart drop. His back straightened, rigidly stiff, and he could feel the way his heart rate picked up. A million questions ran through his head.
Why was he not with Minho-hyung? Why was he not safe? What did they do exactly? Why did they go missing in those woods that night?
“Did he make the same contract as you?” Jeongin asked after shaking off the thoughts. He needed to stay focused.
Knock knock.
“So he’s with the… thing you made the contract with?”
Knock knock.
“Do you think there’s a way to help you two? Out of the contract?”
Another bout of silence passed.
“You don’t know, do you?” Jeongin asked grimly.
Knock knock.
What should I do? Jeongin thought, head dropping. Talk to Eris? Would she be willing to come here personally? She’s anonymous so probably not. Maybe a Shaman? Though a lot of Shamans are complete rip offs. Especially now a days.
Jeongin let out a low groan, rubbing his temples in slow circles. Suddenly there was the sound of chains moving. It was only a brief moment but it was enough to get Jeongin’s attention.
“Sorry hyung,” he said. “This is probably taking a lot of your energy, isn’t it?”
Two knocks, much softer than the ones before, echoed off the wall.
“Can I ask a just a few more questions?”
Knock knock.
“Were you two kidnapped that night?”
Knock knock.
Jeongin winced. He took a deep breath, willing himself to ask the next question.
“Were you murdered?”
Only a moment after the words left his mouth, the two dreaded knocks came.
Jeongin’s heart completely shattered right then and there. A choke sob left his mouth, tears immediately springing from his eyes.
“I’m sorry, Hyung,” he whimpered, pulling his knees to his chest. “I’m so sorry. I’m so fucking sorry.”
The silence that filled the room was suffocating. Jeongin could barely breathe. It felt like his world had completely came crashing down.
You knew they were dead, Jeongin. You already knew they were gone.
Because it was all my fault.
It’s my fault. It’s my fault they’re gone. I should have done something more. I should have gone after them.
Jeongin squeezed his eyes shut and took a few deep breaths, willing himself to calm down.
I have to help them.
No matter what the consequences are, I have to help them.
Jeongin collected himself, wiping away the tears on his cheeks with a sniffle. He sat back normally on the couch, running his hands down his legs.
“Minho-hyung,” Jeongin said finally, his voice watery and strained, “just one more question, okay?”
Knock knock.
“It wasn’t a human that kidnapped and murdered you two, was it?”
There was a moment of silence before the sound of two knocks— now directly on the wall behind him— confirmed the suspicion that has been eating at the man for over a year.
“Thank you, Hyung,” Jeongin said, softly. “You can rest now.”
Hiii I can’t remember if I’ve ever sent a request before or not but if you’re looking I have one that I really hope you’ll take 🙏
So Minho clearly has a crush on reader like he is so obviously soft and biased with her like evens when he teases her she just has to fake being upset and he’s so quick to apologise and offer something to ‘make it up to her’ evens tho she teases him the same way and just as much as he teases her.
Ofc the guys tease him about it like evens reader has lowkey teased him about it before. (Like maybe her and the group were arguing over some decision and it was going to be like majority rules and so reader was like ‘Min tell them I’m right’ and ofc he did and they’re all like wtf and she’s like ‘not my fault I’m one of his favourites’ or idk something like that)
And then one day as usual he either is soft for her or takes her side and the guys are teasing him about his huge crush on her except it’s accidentally in the chat she’s apart of and not the chat with only the guys and you can decide the ending 😊
When Minho has a huge crush on you
Lee know x reader
A/n: I'm sorry this took me literal ages. I hope you enjoy it. Many many thanks to @ssickmagnolia8 for their great ideas
