#alright snark and ship wars aside i get where you’re coming from tho#if you're genuinely interested in my thought process here i would love to elaborate#which is exactly what I’ll do!#first of all! the post you linked is about headcanons#which my brain kinda wants to put into a whole different category than ships — fandom ships in particular! — but i can leave that aside#because there IS an argument to be made that relationships are an extension of characterization and personality traits#if you wanna go that route i would wanna explain that Bloom's and/or Valtor's interest in the other is in fact based on canon#(even though I don’t really think ships need to be established in the source material. make shit up that’s what fandom is for#1) the Andros episode speaks for itself. Valtor specifically tells the Trix to back off because HE wants to be the one to fight bloom#2) the episode before that he asks questions about her (and only her; even though he has more powerful enemies to worry about)#demonstrating curiosity about and interest in her#3) that same episode (or the one before; can’t remember) is their infamous first meeting#where time LITERALLY slows down as the pass each other on the stairs#they get IMPACT FRAMES#the whole color palette changes!!!#idk about u but I eat that shit up. love the drama of it all no one does it like them#I’m gonna skip all the instances where Valtor is spying on Bloom through his little scrying spell because oh god who has the time#let’s go straight to Bloom#if I had a week I would not be able to collect all the moments where she growls his name in pure fury and single-minded determination#she gets a little bit obsessed with him over the course of the season and I personally think that’s very sexy of her#Bloom is known for her tunnel vision when it comes to her past and origins and Valtor's existence fits PERFECTLY into that#it ties in neatly with her overarching story of the past 2 seasons#literally PERFECT foils#which always makes for the juiciest stories#4) she singles him out for a duel in the museum episode#5) she can literally feel his presence#6) the mere mention of his name sends her into her weird faux enchantix#of course there’s no romance in canon but there’s TENSION AND CHEMISTRY which is all u really need for a ship#all their animosity and bad blood is what makes it so INTERESTING to wonder how they COULD work. it’s the spice that makes for good fanfic!

it may not be obvious in screenshots but the way alhaitham subtly checks kaveh for injuries after he spent literally all day in the hot desert and hums in satisfaction after finding out he’s unharmed and is just crying from relief makes me so sick lmao

hey Genshin artists! i've got a tip for you!
TL;DR: In the current Fayz event in Genshin, on PC you can use the walking stance during time-freeze to "tick forward" time in tiny steps without cancelling the current animation. This can be really helpful for getting good reference photos with unique angles in each snapshot!
I'll be reblogging this post with a more detailed explanation and extra photos, but for this post I'm keeping it short and showing one set of images with instructions.
One note, though: you have to re-toggle walking after each time you "move". So the sequence is like this: Freeze time, take a photo, toggle walking, tap a movement key to unfreeze time, and repeat. You have to toggle walking each time you do this, because after each freeze/unfreeze, you're put back in the default running state.

I started this on a plane ride on no sleep and finished a couple days later instead of sleeping. Anyways, here’s some thumbnails/storyboard for my rewrite of that last scene in EE
#honkai impact#for those who haven’t already seen my take on EE:#I basically think that since Ely is established as a liar and romantic#so it’d be really easy to make everything she says just a fantasy#especially since ER and EE frame perception of events as important as the reality of them#but for that to work the audience would need some sort of reality check#even if the characters don’t get it#I also wanted to try and make a transition from Elysia’s headspace to Kevin’s headspace#since that’s kinda where we’re spending the next arc#I gave up putting effort into these drawings after the first few panels lol#I just wanted this done#I’m not trying to claim this is better than the original scene#this is just what I would’ve done

One thing I like about Wriothesley is that he’s objectively not a good guy. He definitely isn’t a bad guy, but he isn’t good either. He doesn’t pay the prisoners actual money for their labor which would aid them with rehabilitation back in the real world. Because of this, he makes a lot of money while not doing much himself. He canonically keeps the items they confiscated from prisoners, things that are meant to be destroyed, whether they’re balls of yarn, gems, or even more.
Honestly the best way to describe him is as one of those CEOs that pay his workers the bare minimum and makes it rich off of them.

pearly's aged-up design makes absolutely no sense to me from what i've seen and heard about it because why is she exactly the same.the girl grew up with a horrible mother who basically viewed her child as some kind of way to achieve higher status. pearly needs a choppy haircut and a horrible stick-and-poke she did at 14 with a misspelled word. maybe the medium clothes remain but they're customized with little patches and embroidery. sure she can stay sweet and a little naive but she is a teenager who probably has some psychological issues. why is no one addressing pearly's psychological issues. have we forgotten what she has been through. have we. c'mon why can't pearly be a little cringefail in a teen way she deserves that much
